A month off might not be such a bad thing Ninja your DH will be gagging for it in a few weeks Wink

Imps sorry about stupid AF, my DH also gets performance issues if my acting skills are not up to scratch. I have to get more inventive every month, however after the first few days of seduction I get bored & start saying we need to DTD which then causes a bit of stage fright Blush.

TMI warning-Ovulation should be while we are away which is great however I'm worried I wont be able to DTD myself. I had a UTI a month ago & the antibiotics gave me thrush. Anyway that cleared up but next time we DTD it hurt a bit & I got thrush again. So have just had another course of treatment & feel better but am a bit nervous about DTD Blush believe it or not I've never had thrush before Blush

I hate my job too, my employer is currently trying to change our shift patterns by reducing the overlap time (it won't work as we already run over our shift times regularly). This means we will then have to work an extra day every two weeks plus due to the change in times will have to travel in rush hour. It's all because they will then not have to staff as many shifts. I'm so annoyed about it, it seems that all cuts affect my profession and there are no cuts to all the other professions who work there. My DH and I had a long talk about what we can do as I am at the end of my tether. I really need to get upduffed asap!

I would love to do something with dogs, the daycare my dog goes to is awesome. It's a reasonable price & I can work it round my shifts which I only get a few weeks in advance.

Sorry for the massive post Smile

CakePigeon · 01/09/2011 12:14

Hope they are good cramps musical

I am a barrister, maybe, currently employed though and hating it. I don't do criminal work but as a student I wanted to.

Imps7 · 01/09/2011 12:20

Glad to see we're all happy in our work Wink I would love to have done something more practical and creative but really feel like it's too late now. I wish someone had talked me out of doing law - I was never really convinced that it was what I wanted to do so it wouldn't have been very hard at all for someone to talk me out of it. Pah.

I've never had thrush before either Baby so I don't know what the recent thrush/shagging etiquette is! Hope it has cleared up properly though - doesn't sound very nice for you, poor thing.

Maybe: the next Perry Mason!

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 12:24

Baby that sounds rubbish. I hope they don't much about with your shift patterns. My DH works shifts, so know how hard it can be when they start messing you around.

I have only had thrush twice, and always after antibiotics. Do you use pre-seed? I don't , only wondered if it would make swi a little less painful?

Ooh, a barrister Cake Sorry you hate it, it's rubbish when you work really hard for years to get to where you want to be, only to realise it isn't actually what you want to do. Hence why I am going to jack it all in, set up a baking business and cook till my hearts content

Mr Postman brought me my tests!

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 12:25

Oh, Imps I would love to be Perry Mason. With a little bit of Judge John Deed and DI Barnaby thrown in.

And it's never too late Imps I am a firm believer in that

Imps7 · 01/09/2011 12:27

Aaaarrr aarrrrrggg MAYBE'S TESTS ARE HERE EVERYONE!!!

PIACC! PIACC! PIACC! (or is it you who PIATCPP?)

CakePigeon · 01/09/2011 12:29

Oooh maybe! tests! How exciting Grin it's just where I'm working at the moment isn't where I wanted to be. It is dull in the extreme which isn't why i chose my career.

baby I know what you mean about thrush. Preseed etc is supposed to help. I think all of my weeing at the end of last month was a uti rather than an exciting symptom - too much SWI!

musicalmrs · 01/09/2011 12:33

They don't feel like AF cramps, which is a good sign I suppose (my AF ones are normally horrendous and crippling and require large amounts of painkillers.. these ones don't, but I know they're there!).

I'm actually looking forward to going back to work after the summer... though how long I'll feel like that is another matter ;) I'm hoping it'll take my mind off ttc and constant symptom spotting - I've been working from home on other projects over the summer, but it's all too easy to get distracted ;)

BabySade - good luck with it - I'm sure DTD will get better... although I have no experience in it myself. I hear these things get better with time though!

Maybe - that's great that you're guaranteed pay until 2013! I want to do a PhD, but couldn't find funding for any musical ones in the area (I was offered places, but non-funded) - and what with knowing that getting musical academia jobs is difficult, I decided to hold out a bit until I get a funded (or semi-funded) one. Still miss research though!

OOoooo, and the arrival of the tests is VERY exciting! Mine won't be here until 8-10pm tomorrow...

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 01/09/2011 12:43

Jumps in behind Scarlet and does exactly the same thing!

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 12:44

I was very lucky with my PhD Musical I started back in 2008 when the economy was a tad better. Think it would be a very different story if I were to start now.

I am the same with cramps too, I really know when AF is here, cos for 24 hours I am bent double with multiple hot water bottles!

Cake there is nothing worse than work being dull. I would rather be excitingly busy than bored.

I PIACC Imps Grin

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 12:46

Scarlet and Scream you are incorrigible.

BabySade · 01/09/2011 12:46

TEST TEST TEST TEST!!!!!!!

No pressure then Maybe Grin when are you planning to test? Tomorrow? Please!

Music that sounds promising

Thanks for the sympathy, I had no idea how horrid thrush could be until now. No more lying with my legs up after sex, those little swimmers will have to make their own way. My preseed arrived this morning so I'm raring to go Smile

Right I'm off to get my euros, so excited!!!

BabySade · 01/09/2011 12:48

Oohh Maybe I'll have a Mojito too please Grin

scarletfingernail · 01/09/2011 13:23

Maybe before you gulp down your Mojito, I really think you should just do a little POAS. I'm not sure Mojitos are good for your condition...

MyGoldenNotebook · 01/09/2011 13:24

ooh Maybe at least let us know when you plan to test :-)

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 13:27

Maybe tomorrow? Depending on cm situation.

scarletfingernail · 01/09/2011 13:28

While we're waiting for Maybe to cave Wink and PIACC I will tell you what happened here in the middle of the night.

I was sitting on the loo when the biggest house spider I have ever seen (think saucer sized) scuttled past my toes and decided to stand still against the skirting board staring at me. It was so big I could see it's eyes. Well I screamed for England. Poor DH thought the worst as I'd already been filling him in earlier regarding my how excessive amount of CM Blush feels like I'm bleeding and it's really bothering me. He leapt out of bed and came bursting in the bathroom to see me sitting on the loo pointing at the tarantula.

He was not impressed.

Imps7 · 01/09/2011 13:29

Does anyone know where my period has gone? When I said it was in full flow earlier I was wrong. I wiped some fresh blood a couple of times this morning and now nothing, nada, rien. Chuffing bloody hell. If it doesn't properly start today I will have to cancel today as Day 1 of my pregnancy and shift it to tomorrow - my dates will all be out of kilter!

Imps7 · 01/09/2011 13:31

Scarlet yours is the fourth story I've heard today about massive bigger-than-normal spiders! No joke! There is something going on, I'm telling you. Hope OH was your knight in shining armour!
