So here is our new home, hope you all like it!

OP posts:
musicalmrs · 31/08/2011 22:27

Firstly, Ninja, I am blaming you entirely for having the Muskerhounds theme in my head ALL evening. That said, it's better than christmas songs, which I've been arranging for my students today... madness.

Maybe and Cake - fewer symptoms today! Still peeing for England, flickering between bloated and constipated (lovely..)... but fewer symptoms than I had earlier! The odd few twinges here and there, and my stomach's generally a bit more tender - not sure why that is... Maybe, my appetite has also completely gone over the past 10 days or so - really weird for me. Still - could be down to so many things. Trying not to go symptom hunting too often!

As AF could come anywhere between 3rd and 10th (ish - if it's behaving!), still not entirely sure when to test... thinking later rather than sooner...

maybebabyR · 31/08/2011 22:33

It's tough isn't it Musical It's tempting to test soon, as it is so mind-occupying, but it is so gutting getting a BFN. I am going to hold out for as long as possible. I wish my boobs would stop hurting though. They have been like it since the weekend. Ouchie!

Oooh, I love Christmas. Not when it starts in September though Grin

BabySade · 31/08/2011 22:39

Evening god I don't know where to start! Hello to all the new Preggos, lovely to meet you all Smile can't wait to celebrate your BFPs in a few weeks.

Imps it's not over until the witch is in full flow Wink & even then it's not over cos its day 1 of your pregnancy

Maybe it's sounding very exciting, can't wait for your positive pee stick

Ninja did you get AF? My phone won't go past the last 4 pages

Well done on passing exams, getting scans and booking in appointments all done ladies Grin

I'm off on holiday to Greece for 2 weeks on mon so am also worried that I'll miss out Cake I'm sure where we are staying has wifi but don't know if it will cost me a fortunate if I use the Internet on my iPhone. Any knowledgable about these things??

BabySade · 31/08/2011 22:41

By the way To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favourite books Grin
Also I love Christmas so much, I hate it when the stuff in the shops comes out so early as it ruins it Angry

BabySade · 31/08/2011 22:45

Yay for getting a puppy Maybe I love my doggy so much. She is a rescue dog we have had from 5 months, she is now 2 years old. She is lay on my lap now while I type Grin

maybebabyR · 31/08/2011 22:47

Baby I am so jealous. I love Greece! Ooooh, calamari, my fave.

I am sure you'll have wifi where you are.

I am going to have to admit that I have never read To Kill a Mockingbird. I am quite embarrassed by this, as I am a big reader

maybebabyR · 31/08/2011 22:48

And yay for the canine! I am honestly so excited. We have decided that it will be our Christmas present to each other Grin

BabySade · 31/08/2011 22:54

What a lovely present. We are going away mainly for a real big fat greek wedding. Am very excited!! Need to start learning Greek ASAP!
Some friends of ours who live near us are greek & are getting married back home. So we are combining it with a holiday. Have only been to the islands before never the mainland.

maybebabyR · 31/08/2011 23:13

Wow, you are going to have an amazing time! Greek weddings look like so much fun!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 31/08/2011 23:25

Hi Baby! Loving the sound of your hol, very jealous! Hopefully so long as you disable roaming on your iPhone and just use the wifi setting, getting online on your phone shouldn't cost you anymore than if you were using a laptop (ie it just costs whatever the hotel are charging for the wifi access!) By the way, your first post below starts "Evening god" and for a moment I genuinely thought you were calling Maybe God! Grin Clearly we're all in awe of the wonderful Maybe but I was still a little surprised! Clearly my brain is still fried from 3.5 hours of exam!

I'm loving all this talk about doggies, I looooooove dogs! I've literally wanted a dog since before I could talk, and I've never had one Sad First my parents, and then my landlord said no. Now DH is saying no until we have a bigger house (which is mean considering we do have a garden) and he wants at least one of us to be working part-time (which is reasonable, altho I'd never admit that to him! Lol.) In the mean time I shall get my doggie fix from you lovely ladies! Pictures as well if I can get them!

I LOVE the idea of John the cat!! Both my cats have such quintessential cat names that I've met loads of people with cats with the same names. If only there was a cat name league table to help you avoid the too-popular ones! Lol!

BabySade · 31/08/2011 23:49

Oh dear, I must watch my grammar. Although I do consider Maybe a brooking no argument god!!
My DH & I couldn't agree on getting a dog for ages. We wouldn't be without her now but it is a lot of work. Luckily I normally only work 3 shifts a week & during those days she goes to doggy daycare. I couldn't leave her home alone.
My MN name is actually my doggys nickname. I'm not obsessed really Grin

musicalmrs · 01/09/2011 08:33

Aww BabySade, doggy daycare sounds brilliant!

After a rather symptom-less day yesterday, I had very itchy legs in the evening - not sure if that is a symptom or just completely weird?! Anyway, this morning.. a bit of brown/pink CM! Not sure if it's AF on her way, or something else...

Maybe - what a lovely present to one another!

CakePigeon · 01/09/2011 08:56

babySade hope you have a lovely time in Greece. Doggy daycare sounds great I wish we had something like that near us.

There seems to be lots of pink cm around! Any developments this morning?

Nothing to report here. Going to get one more SWI session tonight in before our long flight to tide me over - do not envisage joining the mile high club!

Beeboles · 01/09/2011 08:58

Mornin all!

We've got a springer spaniel called boo, and we love him most of the time. Apart from the other day when he did a poo on the bedroom floor at 4am the other morning!Shock Sad It's making me ill thinking about it. I have told DH again that he is not allowed in the bedroom. Boo the dog that is, not DH.Grin

Can hardly keep up with all the goings on, such a lot of messages.

Af not due this weekend. Feeling a bit sick, lots of indigestion, which i did not get at all for the other two at all. Here's hoping....

P.s i love peanut butter, but can't really think of food whilst remembering boo story Sad

< leaves to find a bucket>

Beeboles · 01/09/2011 09:00

Oh and boo must have been poorly, cos he would never usually do anything like that. Poor boo.

CakePigeon · 01/09/2011 09:05

Oh no sorry your dog is poorly bee. I don't like our dog coming upstairs either but DH let him sleep in our room last night and consequently I did not sleep well at all Angry i was an angry cake this morning!

NinjaChipmunk · 01/09/2011 09:07

musical sorry for the song in your head, its most annoying when that happens.

babysade yes af got me but am now booked in for hsg and pelvic ultrasound in a few weeks so this month i shall be cheering from the sidelines as not allowed to shag on dr's orders! your big fat greek hol sounds amazing. we're off in two weeks time to centre parks for a week, woohoo! i'll still be able to MN too!
I'd love to have a dog if we had more space time and money. I'd like to have a whippet. A friend of my parents has always had them and they are lovely, so good natured. And they are all soft and velvety and have nice ears.

Theres some good symptoms going on this week so i'm looking forward to the confirmations when they come. I shall live vicariously through you lot this month. It has just dawned on dp he's getting no sex for a month and he looked rather crestfallen. Bless him, he's been rather spoilt for it for the last 16 months!

MyGoldenNotebook · 01/09/2011 09:21

Hey up!

Sounds like we may have some implantation a go go with Maybe and Musical. boob pain and itchy legs ... classic symptoms .

V jealous of the greek holiday Babysade - it's a great time of year to go as well, especially as we have had such a disappointing Summer weatherwise.

Sorry Boo is poorly Bee. I hope he feels better soon. Boo is a cute name for a dog :)

I too love velvety dog ears. I always want to squeeze them. Don't worry, I don't actually do this but I do sometimes get involved in vigorous stroking / hugging sessions, accompanied by lots of 'Oh you're such a lovely boy/girl .. yes you are!' although luckily the dogs generally seem to enjoy this.

Ninja well it will be famine then feast for your DH I guess. He can build up a store of 'super sperm' till then Wink ... or something. The cheering is much appreciating. I shall enter the dreaded 2ww officially tomoorow although will still be SWIing until at least Tuesday just in case.

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 10:16

Morning all! I overslept by 2 hours Blush Tired Maybe

Poor Boo Bee Hope he is better now.

Ninja your poor DP. I agree, at least it gives him a chance to build his strength up!

Golden I know you what you mean about the velvety ears. BIL & SIL have a weimaraner, so soft.

What is it with all this CM Musical? Mine has gone a bit brown and watery. I honestly though AF was going to be here, but normally I would wake up and it would be red, and I get horrific cramps, and not a sausage yet. Who knows. Itchy legs though? Bet that's driving you mad!

Cake I don't understand how 2 people could fit into an airplane loo, let alone any funny business!

Hope the revision is still going strong Scream

Imps7 · 01/09/2011 11:03

Good morning folks!

There seems to be a poorly dog theme running on this thread at the moment! Poor little Boo - although I think my sympathy may well have vanished if he had pooed next to my bed at 4am. I think there must be a fortune to be made in doggy daycare - I have a couple of friends who are on waiting lists and have had to go to interviews to get a place - and haven't been successful!! I'm not really a fan of dogs (don't all scream at me at once!) but if there's money to be made out of them I'm sure I could learn to love them...

Maybe still super excited re: CM (how weird, being exciting about a total stranger's cervical mucus!!). The lack of cramps is also very very good news and a certain sign of the Blindingly Obvious. As are the itchy legs Musical - really, it can't be anything other than a pg symptom.

Very jealous of your trip to Greece Baby. I've never been - it's on my to go list though. Hopefully it will be guaranteed sunshine for the duration.

AF is in full flow at last having teased me for a few days. Love how the last 3 cycles have all started on the first of the month! Makes it so much easier to remember which day of my pregnancy I'm on.

Right, I suppose I should procrastinate some more do some work. God I hate my job.

CakePigeon · 01/09/2011 11:18

Morning imps sorry that AF has hit you this morning. I also hate my job but the mat leave is good < hopes she will actually get to use it at some point > i am counting down to next october when i get to leave - i think it is cruel recruiting that far in advance! what do you do?

maybe your symptoms are so exciting! Boo bee Grin oh dear!

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 11:21

Ah Imps sorry she came, but how considerate making it the 1st!

Still no cramps here. Just some brown stuff still. Grin Imps for being excited about it!

What job do you have? I am considering setting up my own business as a side line to the PhD!

Imps7 · 01/09/2011 11:41

I think OH was more disappointed than I was this month, bless him. He puts himself under so much pressure and I really wish he didn't - it's really counterproductive! If he was more chilled about it, we'd be able to have a shagathon each month and increase our chances, but because he really wants to have a sprog, he gets worked up about it if he knows I'm ovulating and then can't perform. Oooh it's a vicious circle.

I'm a solicitor and I hate it. I've always hated it but I hate it just a little bit more at the moment. The worst thing is that I'm not qualified to do anything else and have no experience in anything else - there's no way out! Maternity leave is the only answer!

When will you become a proper, fully fledged Dr. Maybe?

musicalmrs · 01/09/2011 11:50

I'm not sure what's going on CM-wise Maybe - but it's all interesting! I'm glad it's a sign my body's doing something at least, rather than nothing as it has in the past!

I'm in the unfortunate position that I don't think I'll get maternity pay - I'm self employed and a music tutor for some teaching services, and for those I only get paid for the hours I work. Need to look up precisely what I would be entitled to - but DH and I worked out we could survive on the standard maternity benefit for the few months when I wouldn't be tutoring, which isn't all that bad. Of course, need to get updiffed first..!

Imps - I was thinking earlier about how strange it is to be excited about CM - or even to think "Oooo I need to tell the world about my CM" - equally odd! I also haven't gone into toooo much depth with my DH about cycles etc - have told him some bits (like that my charts suggest I have OV-ed).. told him about today's CM and he didn't seem too impressed!

A bit crampy too now...

maybebabyR · 01/09/2011 12:04

Cramps aren't necessarily bad Muscial And if you are anything like me, you'll be sitting there waiting for cramps to start. I think I imagine things sometimes!

I am not entitled to Mat pay either. Because my stipend for my PhD is tax free, I have no contributions. I am fine if I get pregnant soon, cos my pay is guaranteed till Jan 2013 (which is when I will hopefully become a Dr Imps). Which is why I am considering starting up my own business from home. That and the fact that there is no certainty in academic research as far as jobs go! Sorry, rant over Grin

Of course you are a solicitor Imps I forgot. I always fancied going into law. Loved it at A level, but I wanted to be a criminal Barrister that only took pro-bono work. Not that I like to aim high or anything Grin
