Yeah, I wondered about PIACC?

Personally I did a bit of PIAYP Smile

jenfraggle · 31/08/2011 14:07

PIACC = pee in a coffee cup

Biscuitsandtea · 31/08/2011 14:07
maybebabyR · 31/08/2011 14:07

Ah, I started the PIACC confusion. Pee in a coffee cup Grin PIAYP Biscuits?!

Bartlet so pleased you are feeling better. Well done on the thesis. I am writing bits of mine now. Yawn.

Your pie looks amazing. It's one of DH's favourites!

Imps7 · 31/08/2011 14:11

Yogurt pot??

Biscuitsandtea · 31/08/2011 14:11

Gosh all these thesiseseses - I feel like a thicko Sad

PIAYP = Pee in a yogurt pot (preference for muller light / muller rice style pot and obviously washed out first)

Imps7 · 31/08/2011 14:14

Love the way you have a YP preference Biscuits! Although that said, a Petit Filous pot would be a nightmare wouldn't it? Teeny weeny they are.

LOVE the look of that recipe Bartlet - definitely going to give that a shot.

MyGoldenNotebook · 31/08/2011 14:22

I am drooling from that recipe Bartlet it sounds yum-tastic!

musicalmrs · 31/08/2011 14:30

Maybe - I too am not testing early! Lets keep the not-testing strength up! I can't possibly test until the delivery comes on Friday with mine... and then after that I still want to hold off for a few more days (whether I'll manage is another question altogether...).

Imps - Fingers crossed that AF either appears sharpish, or doesn't at all - and stops messing you around!

Generic - The half price B&Js isn't doing my waistline any good.

Biscuits - PIAYP is a very green way of doing it, recycling wise! I think I will be a PIAR fan myself...

Barlet Recipe sounds fab!

Sadly no baking today, as DH used up all the butter making brownies.

The best B&Js I had was in Majorca, about four years ago. It was a oaty cinnamon flavour - apparently they used to sell it in scoop shops in the UK, but stopped just before we got back... wasn't impressed!

NinjaChipmunk · 31/08/2011 14:34

OK so I've read all of todays posts but some details are escaping me....
Hello to bee and duke (is that right?) and welcome to your pregnancies!
All this talk of peanut butter and chocolate and caramel stuff is making me crave Bad Things. I could do with some peanut butter cups right about now...
I don't PIAR or POAS or PIAYP, I PIAPBSP (pee in a plastic Boots snack pot) (sorry DS, I'll make sure you never get it back) or at least I have previously and will next time I get a chance to.
Maybe you show restraint beyond all belief, you are soooooooooooo pregnant its ridiculous. I can just picture you in your stylish winter maternity wear in a few months time, sporting a neat bump whilst taking your little fluffy doggy out of walks. You will be fabulous.
imps hope you get your answer soon from Auntie Flo, she shouldn't mess you around like this. We seem to be in the midst of a never ending decorating cycle too. First the kitchen, then the bathroom now the bedroom (which I need to make a massive button tufted headboard for). I seem to go to sleep in a haze of plaster dust at the moment.
Bartlet you also deserve a medal for SWIWHS (shagging with intent whilst having shingles), above and beyond the call of duty there m'girl. Your e dedication brings a tear to my eye.
Right best do some work as I will only be at work once this week and today is it!

OP posts:
GenericDietCola · 31/08/2011 14:50

I've sort of gone off jelly snakes - is that a symptom?

Bartlet you are a star for keeping up the SWI with shingles - wow!

Yeah Imps is she coming or not? A quick phonecall to let you know if she had been delayed would have been the polite thing. Bloomin' witch.

Ooh Musical that sounds nice. I'm terrible for B&J - it's so delicious. Mind you, the baby needs calcium.

Sn0wGoose · 31/08/2011 15:03

Wow, I'm impressed bartlett!! DH has man-flu which is thwarting our efforts to SWI atm :(

maybebabyR · 31/08/2011 15:19

I'm glad you're standing strong too Musical though I know when those tests plop through the letter box, I am going to struggle Grin

Ah Sn0w men are hopeless when it comes to illness.

Definitely a sign Generic

Ninja you almost brought a tear to my eye with that lovely picture you just painted! Hope you are getting some work done.

CM has turned a bit browner now, still nothing when I wipe though. Just had a stabbing pain low down in my tummy when I lifted the casserole into the oven. So don't know how hopeful things are looking now. But a June baby will be just as lovely Smile

Any update on AF Imps?

CakePigeon · 31/08/2011 15:54

I'm seeing a bit of brooking from both of you maybe and imps and it simply isn't good enough, do you hear me?

sn0w it's ok you have a few days before you ov for DH to get better don't you? I seem to remember we are cycle buddies ish!

Solars · 31/08/2011 16:09

I actually used to PIATCPP (pee in a thai curry paste pot) but will now PIAR after joining this thread! I have so many of them Blush

Sn0w I know exactly how you feel DH was the same last week right in the middle of my fertile window, why don't they have the same determination as us women, take for example our very own Bartlett, with shingles no less!!! I'm thoroughly impressed not only with carrying on with your thesis but also SWI!!! Glad to hear you're feeling a little better too and liking the look of that recipe of yours! Yum!

Generic that is a sure fire symptom! I've been incredibly thirsty this afternoon, is that a symptom too??

Maybe I think things are still looking hopeful for you! Hope you and Musical can stay strong

maybebabyR · 31/08/2011 16:13

sorry cake Grin Is it a pregnancy symptom for DH to get on your nerves? If it is, well I may well be having quads.

GenericDietCola · 31/08/2011 17:58

Solars I'm thirsty too! Definitely a symptom.

Oh it's so annoying when DH doesn't want to SWI. I don't tell him when it's the right time as I fear it will put him off, but he must guess when I'm all over him. Fortunately this month we have had a decent shagathon, so I have high hopes am absolutely certain this is our month.

Maybe yet more symptoms to add to your list!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 31/08/2011 18:39

Wow you ladies have been busy!!

I've been stuck in a strange little room all day doing the first of my three exams :( On the plus side though it was a computer-based test so the result is instant - and I passed!! Grin Totally unexpected given how poorly my revision has gone I'm just sooooooooooooo relieved I won't have to re-take that test! Yay!

I don't even know where to start on everything I've read - it took me ages to catch up!

Bartlet that recipe sounds awesome!! I am already trying to find ways to make a dairy-free version!! I must have some!!!

I do like peanut butter but generally it doesn't send me crazy (like, say, nutella does!) However Generic's "confection" (a greatly underused word!) sounded immense! I can honestly say I have never craved peanut butter as much as I do right now!

Very excited about the upcoming bumper BFP week although secretly hoping that Maybe and Musical will cave tomorrow and therefore start the week off early! The sheer range of potential pee vessels to be used for the tests is overwhelming! Lol! Personally I've been PIAHPT (peeing in a hair product tub) I just happened to finish up the product a couple of days before my first proper test, and because it has always lived in the bathroom I knew DH wouldn't ask any questions! Whilst we do have ramekins around (and I love the idea!) DH would absolutely FREAK at the very thought of using something intended for food - even though obviously I wouldn't cook with it afterwards!

Imps how is it going with AF? If she hasn't turned up full force yet maybe she's not going to? I'm still Brooking No Argument for your BFP this month - it's not over until the evil witch sings! It sucks that pg and AF symptoms are so similar though!! Why can't there be a clear sign!?!

Maybe I fully agree that your DH getting on your nerves must be a pg symptom - in which case I am also having quads, possibly quints! I should take that back though, because my DH has been a lifesaver today (for the first time in a while!) Having not thrown up once so far, exactly two minutes before I had to leave the house this morning to get to my exam I suddenly got up and just projectile vomited all over the kitchen floor! (Apologies for TMI!) I literally had zero time to clean up and run out the door to catch my train. So DH kindly hustled me out and dealt with the horror in the kitchen by himself. Now why don't Hallmark make a thank you card for that!?!

Biscuitsandtea · 31/08/2011 18:39

Apparently thirst is a symptom I think? Something to do with making extra blood?

What do we want?
Positive pee sticks
when do we want them?
Now

Biscuitsandtea · 31/08/2011 18:42

Cross post sorry Scream - CONGRATULATIONS on your exam! Well done you clever thing you! And well done to your DH for saving the day with the vom!

Yes Generic will you share your recipe or is it proprietary? Will we see you flogging it on Dragons Den next week?

GenericDietCola · 31/08/2011 19:20

Yay for Scream well done in your exam. Your vom story had me chuckling, but also feeling sympathetic.

Biscuits and anyone who is interested:

Base:
50g dark muscavado sugar
200g icing sugar
50g unsalted butter
200g smooth peanut butter

Topping:
200g milk chocolate
100g plain chocolate
1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Mix the base ingredients together (good exercise!) until smooth and press the mixture into a lined tin. Melt the topping ingredients and pour over the surface. Put the tin in the fridge until the chocolate sets and then cut into large small squares.

Pretty sickly, but totally delicious and satisfying!

Biscuitsandtea · 31/08/2011 19:26

Sounds yummy Generic - could you mix the base in a food processor if you're exercise shy like me?

GenericDietCola · 31/08/2011 19:28

Oh yes Biscuits that would work well. I don't have one, but I'd love one of those mixer things with a bowl on it and a mixer that you tip back to put things in the bowl (like Nigella, my hero). Curse my small kitchen!

Imps7 · 31/08/2011 19:43

Oooh Scream well done you in your exam!! I know that when I get preggers I will not be able to concentrate on anything else for at least 6 months, so dealing with that and revising at the same time is nothing short of a Herculean effort! What was the exam on? Something very complicated that I will have to feign an understanding of I'm sure! What are you doing tonight to celebrate?

AF is winding herself up - have had two brown blobs upon wiping this afternoon - she usually tiptoes stealthily into my life like this. She should be in full flow tomorrow - one day late! The scandal! I cannot abide poor time-keeping.

Nothing exercise-shy about using a food processor Biscuits - if you insisted on hand mixing everything you would end up with one bicep much bigger than the other! Food processing is nothing more than keeping an even appearance Wink

Right, must crack on with dinner for OH and his dad. After a shitty, crappy day at work the last thing I feel like doing is being on best behaviour for entering the in-law, but needs must.

Imps7 · 31/08/2011 19:52

OMG Shock - I meant "entertaining" the in-law, not "entering" the in-law!! That has a whole different connotation!
