New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
LisaJayneS · 14/07/2011 12:13

Honestly AF just doesn't get this does she Faithbaby she really ought to read one of these pregnancy books so she gets the idea she is NOT WELCOME!

thelittlefriend · 14/07/2011 12:59

oh damn it have, I really though you were gonna be our next graduate.

cd10 here. nothing to report. Oh, and I absolutely, definitely, did not order a maternity top in the Next sale. Honest.

GenericDietCola · 14/07/2011 13:11

Oh no have so sorry to hear this. At least you can have a holiday drink tonight (small consolation)

Imps7 · 14/07/2011 13:12

Have I am pretty sure she's turned up because she's worried you're going to forget about her during your pregnancy. Just humour her, thank her for coming and carry on gestating.

The snail has returned today so fingers cross my egg can hold itself back from popping until Sunday/Monday. I'm very much hoping that OH has not been smacking his own rat while he's been away so that he's up for a bit of rumpy pumpy when he's back. Not that it matters if he's not up for it, given that I'm already 6 months diffed with little baby Fedex.

maybebabyR · 14/07/2011 13:32

Brilliant news Imps Though in my head, I now have re-written Return of the Mac to Return of the Snail. Catchy no? Grin

GenericDietCola · 14/07/2011 15:55

'Smacking his own rat' - I just snorted out a bit of apple!

TigerseyeMum · 14/07/2011 22:12

I reckon I am still ovulating so am still in with a chance this month. A bit crampy higher up too, must be a sign of ovulation.

Better get to it.

No snail trail though. My snail has gone on strike. It is maybe a member of Unison.

Imps7 · 15/07/2011 06:58

Yes, off you go, get to it Tigerseye! This is your month!

GenericDietCola · 15/07/2011 09:02

Still waiting for snail trail too. Am using the cheapie ov sticks but they hate me - they are supposed to reassure me but they are having the opposite effect.

Anyhoo, we are just having lots of the sex, which will surely do the job egg or no egg.

GenericDietCola · 15/07/2011 09:04

Maybe your diet guru sounds evil and mean. Doesn't he know your baby needs lots of chocolate and cake to develop?

maybebabyR · 15/07/2011 10:23

This is exactly what my DH says Generic Well, that's his excuse anyway when he munches through a pack of biscuits whilst I have some protein Smile

Definitely get to it Tigers the rat is yours to smack!

I POAS this AM. BFN. This baby is being elusive. Went training with my running club last night, and felt beyond sick afterwards. Couldn't even smell my nice turkey curry without heaving. Deffo pregnant.

GenericDietCola · 15/07/2011 11:03

Oh maybe! How exciting that you feel sick! When is your af due/how many dpo are you?

Oh and running? All kinds of wrong.

maybebabyR · 15/07/2011 11:53

Generic That is now going to be my quote of the week!

If I go by my last few cycles, then I should be 5 DPO. GP thought I was ovulating early, which should make me 15DPO. Though I think he is wrong. So who knows?!

By my recknoning, AF is due on 25th. Running is wrong, you are correct.

GenericDietCola · 15/07/2011 13:19

Oh yes, well the GP must have been wrong and you are pregnant but it's too early for the silly stick to know it - hurrah! Glad we've got that straight!

maybebabyR · 15/07/2011 13:58

Well, since you have put it like that, it most definitely all makes sense now!

Oooh, and I am so tired. Symptom, obviously. Nothing to do with the fact that I have just sat through the most boring seminar ever.

Where is everyone today? Awfully quiet in here.

havealittlefaithbaby · 15/07/2011 14:18

Well I'll have a cuppa if one is going! Im feeling much better today, pain easing, nausea passed (was mega rough last night). Decided to have temping free month and just chill out. No swi til after pelvic ultrasound bit time wise will only be cd6 so reckon it'll be fine. Rat will ne smacked this month just in time for my birthday!

maybebabyR · 15/07/2011 14:29

There is no better present than a smacked rat Have Glad you are feeling much better. No SWI for a few days sounds like bliss to me.... Grin

jaggythistle · 15/07/2011 14:42

Hey All.

How many updiffed points do you get for crying at the following...

a) the bit at the end of 'Baby Jake' on Cbeebies where his big brother is all cuddled in with him (couldn't even speak to explain to DH why I was gibberingBlush)

b) A frickin radio programme which had people talking about when their babies were born - this was while I was driving to work later on.

TBH I have been a bit emotional like this since I was pregnant with DS in 2009 I think, but I do love a wee symptom spot Grin

GenericDietCola · 15/07/2011 15:59

Have, glad you are feeling a bit better and keep up the positivity. Here's to a birthday BFP for you.

Maybe glad to see you are still updiffed. And I noticed your nesting behaviour, plumping cushions, baking and the like. How much more evidence do you need?

Jaggy I like the idea of updiffed points! I think I'm more emotional since having my DD, but the examples you gave are clear signs of your updiffedness - well done!

BlooferLady · 15/07/2011 17:08

I know I HOPELESS at hanging around - I lurk with intent! - so sorry, but my heart is with rat-smackers. Have chick, I'm so sorry Sad. It's such a kick in the balls isn't it. Mother Nature wants to 'ave a word with herself frankly, pissing on all our chips like this. On the other hand maybe she though you could do with one last boozy holiday before you get duffled....

D21 here (24/25 day cycle). No PMT, no spotting, which I'd normally have by now. Given my sexathon this month I'm minded to say WELL THAT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE DUFFLED WOMAN! but looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong experience teaches me that I could just be having a random long cycle designed purely to screw with my mind [hgrin]. So....yar. Trying to downplay the mentalling and just ignore it. Sorry for lack of brooking-no-argument. I might be extremely a tiny bit hungover...

TigerseyeMum · 15/07/2011 17:32

Ooh Maybe I reckon you so are.

I did rat smacking, diligently dedicated to the cause, even though I was half asleep and the cat was snuggling my face.

More to come this weekend. I have a party to go to tomorrow where I shall be surrounded by babies, so it might kick-start my bits and tell my body what it is supposed to be doing Hmm

It's the weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnd Grin

Imps7 · 15/07/2011 18:14

Oooh did someone say tea and cake??

Jaggy - congratulations - you have been awarded 182 Diffed Points! Considering you only need 100 to win a BFP, you are most definitely with child!

Good work Tigerseye! Trust the rat knows what it needs to do now.

Birthday ratsmacking Have - what more could a lady want?

Well you can call me Mrs Bloaty Bloaterson today - my stomach is enormous...so much so that a kindly lady (who I'd put at mid-30s to early 40s) offered me her seat on the bus into work this morning. At first I thought that she was just being nice, but it then dawned on me that she must have thought I was pregnant Shock Luckily I was awake enough by this stage to be alert to the fact that this could develop into a very embarrassing situation for the both of us, so with a speed of thought of which I am immensely proud, I put my hand on my belly, said "Thank you very much, but I'm happy to stand while I still can" and gave her my best maternal smile. I then spent the remainder of the journey (some 25 minutes) sticking my stomach out as far as humanly possible so as to accentuate the pregnant look (although this caused me to strain on a couple of occasions so I think I may have come across more constipated than up the duff) and cupping it lovingly every now and then.

On the one hand this incident has caused me much consternation, but on the other hand I am very reassured that when the day comes when I have an actual baby in my tummy and not just wind, there are nice people out there who will give their seats up on the bus for me without me needing to ask.

Right, who's for wine?

TigerseyeMum · 15/07/2011 18:31

Grin Imps My windypops look like a baby too, maybe I'm just getting some practise.

havealittlefaithbaby · 15/07/2011 18:37

imps that made me laugh out loud! Quality story. Clearly you are giving off a maternal glow already!
I'm on local ciderberry tonight (cider with blueberry, blackcurrant and.raspberry. yes bloofer definitely last boozy holiday before being upduffed and hitting 30. Excellent plan!
maybe and jaggy, you're obviously upduffed, no doubt!
tigers keep up the good work! Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 15/07/2011 18:57

Oh bless you and your windypops Imps - made me giggle.

We went to the consultant at the fertility clinic today (clearly so I could be used as an example of what a pg person looks like....) and he prescribed me Clomid. When I went to the hospital pharmacy to cash in my prescription the bloke asked if I had my maternity exemption with me for the prescription, I was like 'er no, it's a prescription for infertility - see? (pointing to where it clearly said so on the prescription). Poor chap looked a bit Blush and was desperately back peddling (don't know if he was worried I might just burst into tears there and then....)

Oh, by the way, I used to be LisaJayneS but changed my name today to more reflect my personality! (and as part of my witness protection programme.....) xx
