New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

jaggythistle · 15/07/2011 19:41

wine currently in hand. :)

do we get bonus diffed points for baking too? I've done that this week

to top off the day, i cried at the radio on the way home too FFS. Confused

Biscuitsandtea · 15/07/2011 19:51

Oooh if baking counts I've done loads this week. To be fair two attempts failed (must have been baby brain?) but baking nonetheless.....

jaggythistle · 15/07/2011 19:56

forgot to add a big Grin for the bus story. i concur that it was your obvious maternal glow. :)

jaggythistle · 15/07/2011 19:58

i nearly burnt mine! never thought to blame baby brain. luckily my workmates like home baking, extra crunchy or not. Blush

maybebabyR · 15/07/2011 20:02

Imps you are a legend. And top marks for thinking on your feet like that. Quite clearly updiffed.

Definitely points for baking Jaggy and Biscuits (loving the name change)

Bloofer I knew you would be around somewhere. It's good to be hungover, you are making the most of it while you still can. In a few days, you will have to put the alcohol aside Grin

Tigers Am currently figuring out how you managed to smack the rat with the cat on your face Hmm

TigerseyeMum · 15/07/2011 21:08

I also has wine Wine

My OH is making me chips and beans, which does not bode well for the windypops Hmm

Maybe My cat likes to get involved in everything, and is also clingy. Therefore, he likes to be in on the action. He is 16 years old and still wonders 'what we are doing ' Grin

maybebabyR · 15/07/2011 22:05

I can see this kitty as a potential mascot. It is obviously going to work for you, so I may need to borrow him....

I also have wine. Dr Dukan wouldn't be happy Smile

Imps7 · 16/07/2011 07:56

Morning all. Do we all have wine heads this morning? I know I do.

havealittlefaithbaby · 16/07/2011 08:26

Yup cider head here!

GenericDietCola · 16/07/2011 08:42

I also had wine, but weirdly didn't enjoy it and only had half a glass! I had to sneak off and pour the rest down the sink (sacriledge, I know). Updiffed points?

Love the windypops story and admire you toughing it out with the pretence - you truly deserve to be updiffed after all that.

I heard somewhere else that spending time with preggos and babies somehow increases your chances of conceiving (it must be infectious!) - actually that sounds like codswallop and here I am, a scientist and all. Just thought it might put a more positive spin on spending time with them...

Have a boozy holiday and pissing away enjoying the rest of your 20s sounds like a wonderful plan - you can be all sensible when you're 30.

talktalktalk · 16/07/2011 09:21

i have just joined up today and altow i don't get most of the "poas" ans"dd's" i'm totaly in on joining the baby bump boom :D let's all cross everything but our leg's and make some baby's. goodluck to you all.xx

TigerseyeMum · 16/07/2011 10:59

I am off to the toddler birthday party in a couple of hours. I hope it does increase my chances, as my temp has not yet increased so I am either not ovving or I am having the longest cycle in the history of the world ever.

My cat has been taken poorly (he has tried to eat a bee) so he is not getting involved in rat smacking this weekend, thank goodness. He often curls up on my feet Blush

Have a good day all Grin

maybebabyR · 16/07/2011 11:22

Poor kitty Tigers Hope he is back to participating soon!

Generic I tried to justify the whole spending time with babies things. Can't actually find any evidence of it, but ho-hum.

Welcome Talk This month will be your month.

I don't have wine head either. Only had 1 glass. And guess what. Sore boobs. Double points for me Grin

thelittlefriend · 16/07/2011 12:55

I don't have a wine head, but my dp has a double whammy one for both of us!

I did feel ever so slightly pregnant last night, but it seems to have gone today. Obviously that will be my only pregnancy symptom and I will now sail through, having a stress free 9 months. Can't wait!

BlooferLady · 16/07/2011 13:20

'Ssup preggos?

D22 here (average 25D cycle) and no spotting yet. Started to get the kinda of boobular soreness that tends to signal the Red Tide of Doom though, so it could just be an unusually long cycle...

...or, of course, I am deeply, deeply pregnant. I am sure we're all agreed on the likeliest outcome Grin

Here's to your stressless pregnancy littlefriend - did I say how very blooming and radiant you look?

maybebabyR · 16/07/2011 14:02

Bloofer You are definitely pregnant. There is no 'of course' about it Smile

Little I hope you do have a symptom free pregnancy.

MsFC · 16/07/2011 14:45
thejoanwilder · 16/07/2011 15:47

Can I join? No clue what rat smacking is, but DH and I have been intently getting it on when the ov sticks tell us too. Nowt last month (but opportunities were limited by ILs staying). I fear AF will be here in the next 4 days. Can't POAS, because after last months obsessiveness, I made DH hide them all, only to be revealed if AF hadn't arrived by next weekend.

AlpinePony · 16/07/2011 16:21

I'm sitting in the back row with msfc and humming kum by ah.

Pipbin · 16/07/2011 16:37

Hello ladies, can I join please?

havealittlefaithbaby · 16/07/2011 16:55

Hi pipbin met you before on other threads I'm sure. Hello to thejoanwilder too.
Congratulations, by joining this thread you are already pregnant (regardless of where you are in your cycle).'rat smacking' refers to the hilarious comment that someone made on first thread that said 'getting pregnant us just like playing "smack the rat"'!

herethereandeverywhere · 16/07/2011 17:56

Hi Oh Lovely Pregnant Ones,
Apologies for going AWOL have had no internet since moving house. Am on CD33 of a usual 31 day cycle and tested this morning but BFN. Obviously I just had one of those malfuncting peesticks there seems to have been a lot of lately and actually the utter lack of spotting/low mood plus exhausted and mild cramps can only mean what we already know. I'm resolutely definitely pregnant. So there.

TigerseyeMum · 16/07/2011 19:04

If my temp is low and it's only 8 days before my period, does that mean have not ovved, or that I am upduffed? Confused

Or do I just have an incredibly short luteal phase? Or am I heading for an exceptionally long cycle?

Answers on a postcard please.

I survived the toddler birthday party. They are all very cute. I couldn't help but wonder what one of mine would have looked like running round and eating breadsticks. Hey ho. Maybe one day.

Everyone having a ratty weekend?

thelittlefriend · 16/07/2011 19:20

I really think I should be swi tonight (CD12) but I so cannot be arsed. DP has a hangover and probably can't be either. Damn it.

Oh and welcome Newcomers, congratulations on your pregnancies.

here, well done for moving house this early in your pregnancy - you will have plenty of time to decorate the nursery!

scarletfingernail · 16/07/2011 19:57

I think this is the place for me, if that's ok?

I must be pregnant. I'm on CD31 which never happens ever. CD usually 26-28. The 2 negative tests I've had yesterday and today must be wrong! And I feel pregnant. None of the usual period aches, and I've got sore boobs which I only ever get when pregnant.

History. 1 DS (2.6) who took us an age to conceive. 2 MCs since, most recent in January.

I'm pregnant right?
