New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 27/07/2011 06:27

Oh and looking forward to seeing new faces in the anti-natal vomitorium on Thursday (yes I am looking at you maybe). now I don't know about anyone else but I fancy an ice lolly :o

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 06:42

Thank you ladies - CBDs are winging their way from Amazon (but only on the free super saver delivery - I'm not made of money Grin)

Enjoy your ice lolly Have look forward to bringing my nauseous self across in a few days (I'm too scared to be brooking no argument just now Blush)

Right - best detach myself from this iPad and drag my backside out of bed Smile xx

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 06:43

Strawberries Hiding? I have just had a few spoons of last nights chili Hmm

Don't hold your breath at welcoming me just yet. Grin at vomitorium!

I have migrated from my sick bed to my sofa, complete with blanket, tea and BBC breakfast Smile

Imps7 · 27/07/2011 06:47

Morning rat smackers.

Farfalla sorry I missed the support-in yesterday, but just to add my tuppence worth - TTC is a state of mind over which we have little control. Don't let the way it makes you feel let you feel even worse. You are not a horrible person for being upset about other pregnancies - you are TTC, that's it, end of, no further explanation needed. Really hope you're feeling more upbeat today.

Maybe booooooo to your monthly gestational bleed showing up - buy YAY for a May baby! I've always thought it's a good idea to drop a sprog as far away from Christmas as possible and in the nice weather so future birthday parties can take place outside.

Biscuits - what a weird email!! Ignore, ignore, ignore. Trust your fellow rat smackers instead - when we say it's positive, we mean it's positive.

Good luck for today Little! Hope it goes well.

8 DPO here. Yesterday I suffered all day from a symptom medically known as "Pinchy Nip" - every 10 minutes or so it felt like someone was pinching my right nipple! I kept checking my brassiere for any small imp like creatures which may have snuck in there, but nothing there. No Pinchy Nip so far this morning though, which is a relief.

Have a good morning!

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 06:49

Grin at pinchy nip Imps

My monthly gestational bleed hasn't yet shown up though, that is the problem!

When will you be testing Imps?

Imps7 · 27/07/2011 07:08

Maybe, sorry, my mistake Have you tested or are you still holding out for Thursday

Imps7 · 27/07/2011 07:12

Arg maybe I just re-read and see that you tested this morning. Sorry for the BFN. But the show isn't over until AF arrives.

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 07:14

I did test this morning Imps BFN. Of course I don't mind you asking! It is early after all Grin

Ooooh, so only a few days left before you can whip those pee sticks into shape!

havealittlefaithbaby · 27/07/2011 08:24

Can the power of this thread (and my faith) ensure I'm pregnant this cycle even though we didn't swi until 2 dpo?
Keep the faith maybe!

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 08:35

Of course it can Have A sperm would have met that egg, and the rat will have been smacked! How are you feeling now?

I shall try and keep the faith. Never had a cycle longer than this, so either AF will come or I am clearly with child Hmm

farfallarocks · 27/07/2011 08:43

Morning rat smackers. I am literally overwhelmed by all your kind words and support. Feeling so much better this morning, thank you.

Biscuits - don;t worry too much about different lines - all the tests are different, even the ones in the same pack can have different levels of dye, your urine can be more or less concentrated etc. It is not an accurate measure of whether your HCG is rising. As tempting as it is I would stop testing once you get your BFP on the CB test.

Maybe - sorry about the BFN, it could still be your month though, its not over till the fat lad sings AF arrives.

farfallarocks · 27/07/2011 08:48

fat lady even!

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 08:52

Thanks Farfalla. Glad you're feeling a bit better today too :)

You're right about stopping testing - I feel like I am making up for all the months I never tested by getting obsessed by them now! Plus I don't like to think I've wasted my money so feel obliged to use them up (I am an accountant I can't help it Grin)

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 08:58

Thanks Farfalla Really pleased you are feeling stronger today. Amazing how much difference a nice sleep can make.

And I wouldn't be surprised if AF was a man you know. Uncle Fred.

scarletfingernail · 27/07/2011 08:59

Morning rat smackers.

Farfalla I really hope you're feeling better this morning. I know it doesn't really help to know this, but I totally get how you're feeling. (1 DS and 2 MCs here). The day I told one of my friend's I'd miscarried she said "Oh, so I suppose this isn't the best time to tell you I'm pregnant" Since my second miscarriage I've barely thought of anything else apart from getting pregnant again. It feels so unhealthy but I can't help it. Last week when I should've been having my baby, my friend had hers and my best friend also called to tell me she is pregnant. Obviously I'm happy for them both, but I'd be lying if I said it hasn't affected me.

Maybe I hope you find out one way or the other very soon. It's really stressful when your cycle lasts longer than usual.

CD10 for me. CB fertility monitor is still showing low. I'm quite pleased tbh. I've not been sleeping well lately and the thought of my upcoming 10 day shagathon is not a pleasant one!

scarletfingernail · 27/07/2011 09:01

It's taken me so long to type out my last post (had to keep abandoning to do some parenting) I didn't see your post Farfalla saying you're feeling better today. That's great news.

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 09:47

Yes, you definitely need to be rested for your smackathon shagathon Scarlet Grin

Still no AF. Been to the toilet a million times so far this morning. And my wee smells plain weird. Almost like I have ben eating asparagus, but I haven't.

Am watching Man vs Food, and I am literally frothing at the mouth Envy

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 09:49

My wee has been a bit strong smelling too Maybe Hmm. However, I did wonder if this was because I was going to the toilet ALL the time, so what I was weeing out was really not very diluted (if you see what i mean).

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 09:56

Good point Biscuits I am fairly sure it isn't a UTI, and am on antibiotics anyway. Ah well, it gives me something else to ad to an ever increasing list of possible pregnancy symptoms Grin

GenericDietCola · 27/07/2011 10:51

Biscuits glad you got another BFP this morning - don't get too obsessed with the testing - you are definitely pregnant although I understand the desire to see it in writing on the CBD!

Maybe so sorry you got BFN. This has been a weird cycle though hasn't it, so perhaps you ovulated later than you thoughts. Either way, as others have said it's not over til af arrives. Or: absence of evidence is not evidence of absence (you're a scientist too right?). Get well soon.

Imps hurrah for pinchy nip - a sure sign I should think.

Farfalla glad you feel a bit better today. It does take time, so be gentle on yourself.

Scarlet not only are we cycle buddies but we have 2mcs and a dc in common - wow! Gearing up for shagathon myself as well.

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 11:09

Thanks Generic I am indeed a scientist, and you are very right. On all counts Smile

Hopefully my body will let me know one ay or another soon Hmm

allhailtheaubergine · 27/07/2011 11:11

I am doing a ot more lurking than posting on this thread these days, and Maybe you have me on the edge of my seat.

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 11:16

Aubers You should be sitting comfortable in your seat with one of those nice comfy pregnancy cushions. Too much excitement is not good for an aubergine in your state Grin

GenericDietCola · 27/07/2011 11:40

Right! I am getting serious this month and booking a holiday in a cottage that has a hot tub. Either way it's a winner: if when I'm pregnant I will have tempted fate and be unable to use the hot tub and in the unlikely event that I am not pregnant, I will have a lovely holiday to look forward to.

Maybe your body needs to make up its mind and stop messing you about and that's an order y'hear? Perhaps things have just slowed down a bit because you're ill and your bfp will reveal itself in a few days' time.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/07/2011 12:50

Hooray for a visit from Aubers herself!

to Maybe for AF playing silly buggers. I'm in the same boat. AF should have arrived on Monday, and I seem to be going through all the pain of her arrival without the actual event! This is delaying the official day 1 of my pregnancy!! So frustrating. Your cycle has been very unusual overall anyway though, so maybe you ov'd later than you first thought? My fingers are still firmly crossed for you!

Even more congrats to Biscuits! Every new BFP should be celebrated individually!! You are so preggers it could be multiples!!

Imps Grin at your pinchy nips! Hee hee hee. I hope they subside soon, and you move on swiftly from the painful boobs stage straight to the 'huge & abundant' stage as your blindingly obvious pregnancy progresses! Looking forward to your BFP confirmation later this week!!

Generic excellent hot tub plan!! This would add even more certainty to your already imminent BFP! I myself have a similar plan involving Cuba... It's all for a good cause!

Apologies to anyone I've missed, keeping up with this thread is a full-time job! Lots of Wednesday hugs to all, and here's my random question of the day:

"What does your dream future family look like?" Personally in my head my imminent pregnancy (due to start today or tomorrow) will turn out to be a completely surprising identical twin boy pregnancy (to be named Zachary & Xavier) and will of course be followed in three years' time by the arrival of identical twin girls (named Autumn and Blythe). The fact that there is no history of twins in my family, and that DH hates two of those names, is completely irrelevant to the dream!

Any takers? (Or am I the only crazy person daydreaming my future family? Grin )
