New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
maybebabyR · 26/07/2011 19:17

Ah Biscuits Ignore the mean email! They probably have to say that to cover themselves if you know what I mean. That def looked like a line to me!!

I am pleased your mum knows, bet she was chuffed to bits Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 26/07/2011 19:23

Ha! Just noticed all the weird numbers and stuff in my post. Apologies, it's because my computer kept crashing so I typed it all out with all the formatting and stuff in word and cut and paste it but obviously it's buggered it up a bit.

I think my mum was pleased but she didn't really seem it. I had to ask if she was pleased and she just sort of said 'yes, of course' but without much enthusiasm....

Maybe I'm being overly sensitive...

I think she is worried about a mammogram coming up (she had breast cancer a few years back) and I think she has this thing in her head about history repeating itself. The year we had our mc, she found out she had the BC at her mammogram in the school summer holidays, then told us, we told her we were pg and the next week i had a mc. That baby would have been due late March. The timings all fit again, as this baby would be due in March next year and she has her mammogram in a couple of weeks etc etc..... SO maybe it was that?

Biscuitsandtea · 26/07/2011 19:23

Ooh, Maybe - any sign of AF yet? The spotting stopped right?

maybebabyR · 26/07/2011 19:28

Bless your poor mum Biscuits That could well be what it is. Really hope this mammogram is all clear.

No sign of AF, not even a tiny bit of spotting. I am getting strange cramps. Well, if you can call them that. Just weird feelings. Since coming off my pill, I have never been late, if anything, cycles have shortened by a day or so Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 26/07/2011 19:28

I am on tenterhooks for Thursday morning's test maybe

maybebabyR · 26/07/2011 19:30

I am half tempted to test tomorrow if no AF, but will be so gutted it it's a BFN. Still, positive people get positive pee sticks.... Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 26/07/2011 19:39

This is me on Monday! I had promised myself I would hold out until Tuesday if no sign of AF but just couldn't. It is horrible not knowing and horrible getting a BFN so I can feel your pain at being in such a dilemma! Still, we're here to hold your hand whatever you decide to do and whatever the outcome (ie whether the pee stick is right or one of these dodgy imported wrong ones) xx

maybebabyR · 26/07/2011 20:05

Ah, thanks Biscuits I wondered if I may have been using non-English speaking pee sticks, and that my confirmation might be lost in translation Grin x

thelittlefriend · 26/07/2011 20:09

biscuits really don't worry about that email. Two different pee sticks picking up hcg in your wee = pregnant biscuits.

maybe hope you're feeling a bit better & af stays away.

Hope everyone else is ok as well - you all look blooming!

My boobs are definitely more achy today and I let myself get a bit excited. I'm going to test Thursday morning as I have fanny cam in the afternoon.

maybebabyR · 26/07/2011 20:13

Oooh, just think Little that fanjo cam may well be giving you your first look at Littlelittle

GP told me it may take 10 days before an improvement Sad

Achey boobs are good Smile

GenericDietCola · 26/07/2011 20:15

Ooh little another BFP coming our way on Thursday then! Why have you got fanny cam? I hope you can cancel it in an ironic way cos you're upduffed.

Biscuits agree with others re email covering themselves - you are deffo preggers as confirmed by two pee sticks. Sorry to hear about your mum and I expect the news is just taking a while to sink in (like it is for you) - I'm sure she is thrilled for you, but probably a bit worried just like you are about the risks (but let's not dwell on those - you are pregnant and everything will be wonderful).

have love your thoughts re Tampax sales!

Biscuitsandtea · 26/07/2011 20:34

Oooh Little good luck for Thursday! Fingers crossed for more BFPs xx

havealittlefaithbaby · 26/07/2011 20:43

Feeling the positivity :) .
biscuits I agree. We all saw that line! There's been many a 'positive' test on FF to which I've said 'where?!' But for yours I said 'ooh that's a positive!'. Roll on the cbds saying 'Pregnant'!
little that is exciting! Of course you will get your ironic bfp this month. How many dpo will you be then? Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 26/07/2011 20:55

Have - YAY for some SWI WinkGrin. this is soooo going to be your month Smile

GenericDietCola · 26/07/2011 20:57

Yay - good show have this is your month (and mine. And all the other Rat Smackers)

thelittlefriend · 26/07/2011 20:58

Thanks all, now I will say this quickly so not to bring the thread down, but I feel surprisingly unpositive about the achy boobs. Now I'm expecting to see af in the morning. Generic the fannycam is to try and discover the reason for my mid cycle and irregular bleeding. have I'm not totally sure about my dpo as I can't seem to pin point when I ovulate but Thursday is day 24 of a roughly 25 day cycle. Anyway, fingers crossed and I will really really try not to give in and test in the morning!

GenericDietCola · 26/07/2011 21:18

OK little hope it's simple to sort out and hope it is your first view of littlelittle!

If it's any consolation, I have had lots of fanny cam recently and it's not too bad.

thelittlefriend · 26/07/2011 21:22

Thanks Generic. Glad you're feeling ready for your bfp - it's coming soon!

BabySade · 26/07/2011 22:26

Congratulations again Biscuits ignore that stupid email. You are most definitely preggo. That rat is SMACKED!!!!

Maybe and Little am looking forward to the positive pee sticks coming your way. Am v impressed with your peeing restraint!

Farfalla I know I'm just echoing what everyone has said. Don't feel bad at all, I have totally had that "I've been punched in the stomach" feeling when friends tell me they are pregnant. It's so so hard and of course you'll feel it more with the mc & her being similar dates. It's just horrid but it's your turn next, get smacking that rat Wink

Btw I finally got a visit from AF today, I've told her to hurry up & piss off. She knows she's not welcome next month. So now I'm having a may baby which is perfect as that is one of my favourite months Grin

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 06:04

baby sorry AF came. She probably just wanted to say goodbye as this will be the last time she sees you for a while.

Good luck for today Little hope fanjo cam goes well.

I got up early to POAS, couldn't wait as still no AF. BFN, on cd39. Don't know what's going on Sad

Hope the CBDs come this morning Biscuits so you can see it in writing Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 06:14

Maybe WHAT is that all about? Could it be too early dpo wise? We all know you're very much updiffed. How many dpo are you?

I did another test that came with my monitor this morning and got a line but still not very dark. Not nearly as dark as the control line. Better than Monday's but nowhere near like the FR one yesterday. Still I am starting to believe them...

I'm beginning to think that the Internet cheapie tests might be the work of the devil Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 06:16

Oh and Baby sorry about AF - give her a good kick up the arse and send her packing Smile xx

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 27/07/2011 06:20

Maybe - oh, how frustrating. As Biscuits says, could it just be that you're not enough DPO yet if you ovulated late?

Biscuits - I really wouldn't worry about how dark the line is - a line is a line whatever that stupid email said. I didn't get a line as dark as the control line (admittedly on Internet cheapies) until AF was about a week late but I got a faint line from 11 DPO. You really are pregnant - congratulations!

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 06:23

If it's any comfort Biscuits I'm sure I read somewhere they don't put as much dye in the cheap ones which would explain it!

Think I am 17dpo today. So surely it would show up? I know there are lots of people who are quite late before their bfp, and maybe I did ovulate late, or maybe I haven't ovulated at all. Though I'm sure I did from the cramps and that tiny bit of spotting.

Just wish AF would come now Sad

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 27/07/2011 06:25

Hello lovely ladies! As I am sitting up at 6 in the morning eating strawberries (yes this is the glamorous life of pregnancy that will soon be yours) I thought I would check in and say howdy! :o

super hurrah for biscuits. def get a digi as I really didn't belive it until I saw it in real unquestionable words. I suspect that you mum was caught a bit by surprise and will know how much the mc hurt you before. She is probably just worried for her lovely daughter. Concentrate on you for know and sod everyone else (including. Silly email people)!

Farfella as others have said it's ok to feel like that, it will get better! I remember just over a week after my mc a colleague at work (thankfully not in my office) announced she was pregnant and due just before I would have been. I was so upset I actually had to walk out and go and cry in the toilets. For months everytime someone gave an update or she popped in to say hi it was like being kicked inthe stomach. Of course the poor woman had no idea I had an mc and it wasn't her fault, just bad timing. It took me a long time to let it go and be happy for her but I did in the end. I think feeling like this is perfectly normal and understandable. What you have been through isn't fair at all, it is shit and hurts like hell so don't feel bad for occasionally needing to scream and rage about it.
