New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 21:06

Apologies for the ridiculously negative message, not at all in keeping with the "positive people get positive pee sticks" mantra!!

Naturally, seeing as I am now 3 weeks pregnant, those pesky pee sticks will be falling in line first thing tomorrow morning! Silly me, I keep forgetting that I'm already upduffed! Tomorrow will be the day, I can tell. All of these cramps I keep having are clearly evidence that BabyScream is settling in nicely, and will shortly be kicking those pee sticks into compliance!

Biscuitsandtea · 21/07/2011 21:08

I've decided that the debate is pointless anyway as to test now I would need a super sensitive internet type one and I don't have any so by the time they got here it would be about Monday anyway!

And now that I know the stats (thank you Scream for your most efficient research Smile) I would just think that the odds weren't high enough and I could be in the other x% (too much of a mathematician me - as I said before I was always a square....)

Biscuitsandtea · 21/07/2011 21:09

Aw Scream everyone is allowed a very little wobble, just as long as AF doesn't sense your weakness :)

Patiencedeficit · 21/07/2011 21:22

Evening Preggos, have spent a while catching up and loved reading all of it! Well and truly addicted to brooking no argument.

Congrats Moose! That's amazing news!
Who will give us our next BFP? Grin

thelittlefriend · 21/07/2011 21:49

Patience - ME! (sorry to be greedy)

MooseCakey · 21/07/2011 21:51

Thank you for all the congratulations. I have a first response primed and ready for tomorrow morning.

Symptoms fans might be interested to know I had a runny nose 2 weeks ago, lots of moulting every time I washed my hair for the last week and my ibs has been worse for a couple of days, really bloated!

jaggythistle · 21/07/2011 22:16

night night again. if this is to be a practice month AF is making me wait till tomorrow. meh.

sorry for a wee grumble. :)

Biscuitsandtea · 21/07/2011 22:28

Oh Jaggy, bless you. I'm with you on the knicker checking thing in my biggest-ever-possible-stupid-window-when-AF-might-turn-up.

Let's try a bit of chanting 'this is still our month, this is still our month...'

jaggythistle · 22/07/2011 06:42

Oh FFS still nothing. I think I was almost hoping for the stealth overnight AF because I can't check in my sleep Grin.

My window is too big as well even though it's only about 5 days. Min cycle has been 26, max 31. Stats are exactly 50:50 for 28 days as well.

'This is still our month, this is still our month'

'SHOW US THE POSITIVE PEE STICKS'

MooseCakey · 22/07/2011 06:50

This morning's first response was BFP and 2 days in a row is enough to convince me so I'd better head to the ante-natal thread. I expect to see all off you there very soon, since you are all clearly pg. Just show those pee sticks who's boss!

havealittlefaithbaby · 22/07/2011 07:00

Congratulations moosey!
jaggy I feel for you! It's the not knowing either way isn't it?
What do we want? POSITIVE PEE STICKS! when do we want them? NOW!!
(Currently struggling to get out of bed).

Imps7 · 22/07/2011 07:02

Oooooooooohhhhhhhhh goody gum drops!! Another confirmation of the Blindingly Obvious!! Congratulations Moose - really really great news!!

Right, I'm going to try to catch up on what happened yesterday. You chatterboxes, you.

jaggythistle · 22/07/2011 07:10

Good job Moose, you showed that FR you're the boss. :)

Am a bit glum now because I am getting Proper Cramps now not Maybe Pg ones, so it looks like I may need another month of Rat-smacking practice. Poo.

Still, this will be CD1 of the month which is definitely my month.

Biscuitsandtea · 22/07/2011 07:28

Well done Moose look forward to seeing you on the ante natal thread soon Hmm

Jaggy lots of hugs. I know exactly what you mean - I'd so much rather AF just showed up if she was going to rather than dragging it out.

I am now CD31 and longest previous length is 29 days.... Although that still only makes me one day late because if AF comes today then today becomes cd1 and this cycle would be 30 days I think Confused

Does that make sense?

Still only 12dpo normal LP 13-15 days (based on a huge sample of 2 mths).

Can barely cope. If AF doesn't come until Monday I will just be a quivering wreck in the corner....

Imps7 · 22/07/2011 07:30

Using a ramekin for harvesting wee, eh? What an inspired idea! I have some pink ones and some blue ones ? do you think that the colour of the ramekin I wee in when I find my Chosen Pee Stick would determine the sex of little baby Fedex? Love the fact that you throw used receptacles out in case the repeated washing affects your pee stick result BabySade Grin

I don?t think they have Aubers or anyone else on the door at the ante-natal club ? at least if they do, they didn?t do a good job of stopping me going in and accosting a Pee Stick Endorsed Pregnant Person in the hopes of getting some of their luck to rub off onto me. It looks lovely in there (apart from all the vomming) ? can?t wait to get in there when I get my official confirmation in, oooh, 11 days.

Scream - the dizziness sounds amazing! Keep that up for sure!

My red lines came up on Fertility Friend this morning ? I keep staring at them expectantly. FF said that based on my shagging, my, sorry our (I keep forgetting that OH is involved in this somehow) chances of a BFP this month are??good?. Wow, how encouraging, thanks FF. It?s official that little baby Fedex is due on 10 April ? I?ve always said I?d love a spring baby.

Had another weird dream last night (yay!), followed by enormous wee (don?t worry ? I did get up to go to the loo), followed by not being able to sleep, followed my distinct light headedness this morning. Deffo up the duff. It?s not like I have those symptoms most month ? not at all.

jaggythistle · 22/07/2011 07:42

Cheers for the hugs Biscuits, no one else is at work yet so it is a bit lonely Grin

I have 9 months of chart-tastic data, my LP is normally 12 days, but I have had the odd 13 just to get my hopes up and an 11 to confuse me. TBH I think it depends - if AF showed up a few hours earlier/later it'd get recorded on a different day.

You are making total sense. I am on CD30, so when if AF shows, that'd make a 29 day cycle.

Biscuitsandtea · 22/07/2011 08:25

Imps sounds like you've been doing a fine job this month. What do the red lines on FF mean? Is that when they confirm the ovulation date sort of thing? Are you in the 2ww now?

maybebabyR · 22/07/2011 09:29

Moose Congratulations! (for confirming what we already knew!) Enjoy the antenatal thread, and warn them of our imminent arrival Grin

Jaggy Sorry about the cramps. Really hope it isn't AF rearing her very, very ugly head.

Imps hurrah for ovulations Grin bet it was a nice shiny one too, almost like a faberge...

Biscuits A quivering wreck? No, no. I imagine you strong, like the statue of liberty. AF will turn round and run right away. Think I am taking the visualisation too far here Hmm

Well, I POAS just now. Faintest shadow of something, but think it could just be a shadow. I have told myself I won't test now till next Thursday. So, this morning I shall mostly be spinning, swimming, sauna, steam, hot tub and off to buy more pregnacare conception. See how you like that fate Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 22/07/2011 09:30

Oooh maybe - how exciting - have everything crossed for you xxx

maybebabyR · 22/07/2011 09:32

Thanks Biscuits Really don't think this is it yet though. Still, they say patience is a virtue and all that Smile

jaggythistle · 22/07/2011 10:15

Baws. CD1.

I'll be here a wee while yet I guess. :) Obviuosly I need to concentrate more on the positive frame of mind.

Grin at the Faberge egg maybe! FX for the rat being smacked...

Imps7 · 22/07/2011 10:19

Arrrrg Maybe how exciting!!!!! Can't wait to hear your confirmation of the Blindingly Obvious!! But seriously - next Thursday?? I demand you test earlier than that - I can't hold off until then for the news.

Biscuits, the red lines confirm ovulation - they appear when you've had 3 days of high temps. It says I ovulated on Tuesday, although I'm pretty sure it was Monday night. Anyway, this is the best shot we've had so far (i.e. actually having achieved a successful shag so close to ovulation) so it's more likely than not that Ollivander won't find me the right pee stick this month.

Imps7 · 22/07/2011 10:20

Jaggy sorry to hear that your monthly gestational bleed has arrived. Still, CD 1 means that you're already pregnant this month.

maybebabyR · 22/07/2011 10:30

Seconding Imps there Jaggy you are already pregnant.

So Imps when will you be due to test then? I know Thursday seems a long way off. Don't get me wrong, I will most likely crack tomorrow before then, but I figure that will make me a whole 3 days late. Which is unheard of. Plus my new baby niece is coming to visit that day too. I honestly have no idea what that has to do with anything.

Has anyone else become strangely superstitious about this whole TTC thing?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 22/07/2011 10:46

Ooooo Maybe that's just too exciting! I'm going to have to agree with Imps I can't possibly wait until next Thursday for an update on this!! (I think you and Biscuits have clearly received all the willpower in our little cycle buddy trio - and I have none!)

Your news has cheered me right up! I woke up this morning at 4 a.m. and was completely unable to get to sleep without POAS (perhaps under the mistaken impression that given my dizziness yesterday, and the obscenely early hour, surely the pee sticks would be powerless to resist!) Well as usual the pee stick was faulty. Plus getting bad news at such an early hour seems to have had an even greater impact than usual on my mood - honestly I just can't take anymore BFNs!!

However you have reminded me that 12 DPO or even 13 DPO is a perfectly normal time to get that first smidge of a hint of a mirage of a line. As such I am now re-enthused and hoping I'll be joining you in the faint-hint-of-a-pee-stick-surrender brigade later this afternoon first thing tomorrow morning!

Imps your positive FF chart is surely a clear sign that THIS IS THE MONTH!! Can't wait for the inevitable confirmation!

Also Jaggy sending big hugs your way. At the moment my mild cramps seem to be ramping up a bit, and the dizziness is less today than yesterday, so I share your fear of an unwelcome visit from the witch! On the plus side though, if she is foolish enough to turn up you can have some stern words with her IN PERSON, and explain that you are already 1 day pregnant and as such she is not to return for the next 9 months!
