New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
sims2fan · 21/07/2011 16:49

Hmmm, vivid dreams is a pregnancy symptom you say? Just as I suspected, I must indeed be pregnant as I have been having very vivid dreams this week. In fact just the other day I was telling my husband about 2 dreams I'd had that night and he said 'you remember dreams in way too much detail!'

Based on an ovulation calculator thingy I am due on April 9th. Anyone share my due date?

NinjaChipmunk · 21/07/2011 16:56

I had a very vivid dream last night too, sorting out lots of musical instruments or something. Far too complicated to explain. Just shows how pregnant we all are.

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 16:59

Goodness me! In the time it has taken for me to get home, we have a BFP!! Congrats Moose So pleased for you!

Now I must catch up on the rest of the news Grin

jaggythistle · 21/07/2011 17:02

FF due date forecaster says March 29th for me. DS was over a week late though so I'd expect an April baby Grin

jaggythistle · 21/07/2011 17:05

Congrats on confirming your obvious pregnancy Moose :) :)

havealittlefaithbaby · 21/07/2011 17:42

Awesome news moose! do tell is when you've poas with the early response!
I am shocked at the pace of this thread! Been busy at work, am having to remember where I got to page wise reading so I can catch up!
I'm still suffering post Hsg Hmm rather annoying because I wanted to commence rat smacking tonight, especially since I'm seeing ewcm! Guess I'll hop to it tomorrow. Last month we managed swi 7 days in 8. DH wanted a medal!!

GenericDietCola · 21/07/2011 17:53

have I tried to respond to your other thread, but not sure if it appeared or not. Anyway, sorry to hear you are still feeling rough - put your feet up and feel better soon. You can gird your loins for some swi tomorrow!

havealittlefaithbaby · 21/07/2011 18:09

Thanks, no I can't see a reply I'm afraid. Thank goodness DH is a good cook and a lovely fella so he has provided me with a wheat bag and is cooking dinner (can you see why I married him?!). Currently watching America's next top model :) so bad it's good!

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 18:21

Sounds like you have a good one there Have Hope you feel much better by tomorrow. I think you deserve a medal for all that swi last month too Grin

BabySade · 21/07/2011 19:02

Congratulations Moose! Grin
I don't know where else to start as there is too much going on in this thread!
Sorry to hear your feeling a bit rubbish Have. Your DH sounds v lovely (as he should be!)

Well I'm on day 32, my cycle has never been longer than 33 days so am getting a bit frustrated. if that bitch AF is gonna turn up she better do it soon as I've got some serious rat smacking scheduled. I don't think I ovulated late embarrassed to admit am always a bit vague on when I ovulate

Good luck to everyone who will definitely be getting their BFP any day now.

Sending glasses of wine to those smacking that rat tonight Wink

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 19:31

Here's hoping for a BFP any day now Baby

Getting nervous about testing in the morning. Think it's cos I know it's going to be a BFN. Obviously the pee sticks will be lying, but ho-hum Grin

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 19:51

I know what you mean Maybe. Whenever I go into the bathroom in the morning now I just have this awful feeling of dread. I can convince myself all day long that I'm pregnant, except for straight after POAS'ing. There's never even the smallest hint of a line for me! I look like an 80 year old trying to read small print, I get the results window 1 inch away from my nose under the brightest light in the house, and nothing! The white background on my internet cheapies seems whiter after I've taken the test than before!

Sigh. This is why I'm so grateful to you lovely preggos, for reminding me that the pee sticks are lying!

allhailtheaubergine · 21/07/2011 19:58

Hello my lovelies :)

Lots of new faces and confirmed preggos! Good stuff Grin Grin Keep it up - there's spaces reserved for everyone on the diffed Brooking thread.

Mwah mwah xx

jaggythistle · 21/07/2011 19:58

i think i will go back to charting temps next month. in the unlikely event I'm not with child of course.

I'm just not used to wondering when ovulation happened!

only 154368 knicker checks so far, nothing to report yet. i am thinking if ERTD is to arrive it will be overnight by stealth.

fx for you feeling better and rat smacking soon have.

thelittlefriend · 21/07/2011 20:14

scream, I agree that the white part of the internet cheapies is so white it hurts my eyes after taking the test.

Aubers nice to see you, hope it means you're feeling a bit better.

Best of luck for those poas in the morning. I'm going to try and give it a miss tomorrow.

havealittlefaithbaby · 21/07/2011 20:23

I think the internet cheapies go pink to taunt me!
aubers saw your other thread, I'm delighted to hear you're feeling better :)

herethereandeverywhere · 21/07/2011 20:26

Hello all, Just popping across from the confirmed-diffed thread to check you're all keeping up the PMA (positive mental attitude!) and great to see that you are!

I got a BFN on an internet cheapie before a BFP on a first response so the show ain't over till AF sings!

We're keeping cushions warm for you all on the anti-natal thread Smile

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 20:31

Thanks Aubers and Here Nice to know you are getting our spaces ready Smile

I always get confused why some of internet cheapies stay white after a while, but some go yellow Hmm not that I keep my piss sticks for days on end just in case

Biscuitsandtea · 21/07/2011 20:32

Quick question for you preggos.

What's the earliest number of days post ov that it might be worth me POAS?

AF officially late now (due yesterday) but ov'd late and had I not know this i would have been peeing on any stick i could find by normal measures. But no point if the stick is going to lie to me about what we already know is true.

So just wondered roughly how many days it might work from for me to find a stick that will tell the truth?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 20:37

I think the earliest implantation can happen is supposed to be around 6 DPO Biscuits. Plus the minimum time from implantation to there being enough HCG in your pee to satisfy those evil pee sticks (even the sensitive ones) is another 2 days I think. Of course these are minimums, so it could take a few days longer for each stage and still be normal.

If you're 11 DPO from the date of your late ov then I am in awe at your powers of restraint!!

havealittlefaithbaby · 21/07/2011 20:40

I did a scrawl of FF last month, the very earliest I found was 10dpo (but that was only one!), quite a few at 11dpo. When do you think you ov'd and where are you cycle wise (ie cd... normal cycle length...)?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 20:46

A search of MN comes up with some interesting info on an old thread:

% of positives which show up at X dpo:

  • 35% at 10dpo
  • 51% at 11dpo
  • 62% at 12dpo
  • 68% at 13dpo
  • 74% at 14dpo
  • 80% at 15dpo
  • 88% at 16dpo
  • 92% at 17dpo

I don't know what the original source of those figures is though, or how reliable they are.

There was also a link to a page on FF here, which is based on your expected AF date so unfortunately not as helpful if you've ov'd late.

Biscuitsandtea · 21/07/2011 20:48

OK normal cycle length 28 days (I always was a square....). Currently CD 30 (last month may have been 30 days too).

OV'd on CD19 so currently 11dpo.

Have charted for last 2 months and luteal phase was 13 and 15 days respectively. Therefore if that is representative I would expect AF to show sometime between Saturday and Monday?

Oh, and Scream not so much powers of restraint as too scared to get a BFN and I know that if I got a BFN I would only ignore it anyway and still think maybe it was just too early.

I just want a bloody BFP!!!! Seriously if you can buy degrees online why can't I buy a BFP?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 20:58

That's still evidence of impressive powers of restraint Biscuits! My BFNs are increasingly getting me down - which is just me heaping completely unnecessary pain on my own head. Either AF got my message, in which case I'll get my all-important confirmation next week, or she missed the message and will therefore show up by mistake next week, in which case I'll still have an answer! This torturous daily battle with the pee sticks isn't really achieving anything.

Perhaps I'll try emulating your rational self-control from tomorrow

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 21:01

I too admire your restraint Biscuits BFNs are pretty soul destroying. Maybe AF prefers communication via email rather than letter?
