New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
TinFairy · 22/07/2011 11:11

Keeping fingers x'd for you, maybe

Today, I have been overcome by a feeling of utter calm and serenity. I shall not be peeing on any more sticks until a new batch of Internet cheapies arrives from Amazon AF is late.

Best wishes to all those testing confirming over the weekend.

maybebabyR · 22/07/2011 11:11

scream a bit of mutual cheering up is going on here! I had pretty much been awake since 5.30am when DH got in from work, and was desperately holing on to it to ensure extra-strength pee Hmm

12DPO is still very early. As I think Jaggy said (I think it was Jaggy, but what with baby brain and all) she didn't get a BFP till AF was 2 days late. Suppose it depends on how quickly the old cilia wafted the golden egg down the old tubes Smile

Cramps could be either AF or baby scream. Mother Nature is too cruel. Why oh why make symptoms of AF and pregnancy the same?

maybebabyR · 22/07/2011 11:14

Ah Tin what a time to run out of pee sticks. It's a sign, a sign I tell you!

Oh, and I have to share this with you all. The most disgusting thing ever. I have just been watching a Vietnamese cooking program (day off, 'working from home') and a guy just eat a duck embryo. He pulled it out of it's shell at E15, put some salt and mint on its head, and then ate it. And he got feathers stuck in his teeth. Now I have a sturdy stomach, and will eat pretty much anything, but that? So very wrong Smile

jaggythistle · 22/07/2011 11:19

Nah I was an early tester last time too - my BFP with DS was at 11DPO (and 12,13,14,15 etc cos I didn't quite believe it Grin I PO all the S for a week)

Baby brain right enough maybe Wink

Yes Day 1 of Month 11 of my pregnancy is clearly a good day.

Onwards and upwards pregnant ladies.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 22/07/2011 11:25

Extra-strength pee! This is clearly where I went wrong this morning! Thanks for the inspiration Maybe Grin

I think if I don't have either AF or a BFP by Wed next week (2 days late) I will be a quivering wreck rocking back and forth in a corner of the bathroom! It does seem to be a particularly exquisite form of torture, the fact that early pregnancy symptoms are the same as AF warnings!

However this thread continues to keep my spirits up! I should have come on here at 4 a.m. instead of giving in to the POAS obsession! Now everyone join in:
"What do we want?!"
"POSITIVE PEE STICKS!!"
"When do we want them?!"
"NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!"

maybebabyR · 22/07/2011 11:37

Sorry Jaggy It was Farfalla Goodness me, my brain is turning to mush!

You're welcome Scream I also feel that such wee holding also improves the strength of the old pelvic floor muscles, therefore an easier birth will surely follow, no?

Lots of positive vibes coming your way Mines

Tiny skirts are impractical for pregnant ladies Scream tracksuits all round me thinks.

Well, I have just had a bit of blood-tinged CM. Ah well, thought it was all a bit too text-book! Onwards and upwards though Smile

thelittlefriend · 22/07/2011 12:55

Jaggy Sorry to hear babyjaggy has been delayed another month, as you say though, onwards & upwards x

Welcome Minesa, great news on your implantation bleed, so congratulations, you're obviously pregnant!

I actually don't have the urge to poas today. Don't know what's wrong with me. Hmmm.... maybe it's a pregnancy symptom...

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 22/07/2011 13:07

Maybe don't give up hope! Spotting is perfectly normal during the early weeks of pregnancy. Really this is just further evidence of your resolutely pregnant state.

Plus you've just had that almost positive! You've got the pee sticks in full retreat - don't give up now!!

farfallarocks · 22/07/2011 13:08

Hello rat smackers.
Well AF is late (I think, if it were a normal cycle it would be anyway)
BFN though
My tits are heaving and aching
Little bit of pink spotting which I had last month before the BFP

The cutest baby girl on the tube was smiling at me on the tube this morning and that is obviously becuase she can FEEL I am preggers isn;t that right??

Congrats Moose, awesome news!!

mMaybe - defo test again

For what its worth I think first response is more sensitive than internet cheapie from amazon, it was showing BFP for longer after my miscarriage and also BFP about 2 days before internet ones picked it up.
Shame because they are so expensive
We want at LEAST 5 more BFPs this weekend ok? OK? I am BROOKING NO ARGUMENT

Farfalla good spot with the First Response! I had a quick look online and found an article which suggests FR can detect HCG at less than 6.3 mIU/mL!! Amazing. Wish I'd bought more when they were 2 for 1 at Boots!

It's very exciting that your symptoms match the time before you got your BFP last time! Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Also loving the idea of setting a BFP target. Five?! That's nothing! We've got lots of pregnant women in here - we should have 5 by tomorrow morning! Wink

Mines thanks for the tip about preventing morning sickness. I shall be munching a medicinal packet of biscuits myself this afternoon - strictly for the avoidance of nausea of course!

It's practically the weekend everyone!! Keep up the NO BROOKING - our BFPs are almost here!

havealittlefaithbaby · 22/07/2011 16:44

Hello ladies, wonderful positive thoughts! Very exciting.
jaggy that sucks, how stupid if the evil.witch to turn up! Well I agree you are already pregnant this month.
I am still feeling rough. GP suspects uti (well there's been lots shoved.up that general area) so am on antibiotics. No swi for me at present. Here's hoping clever body decides to delay ovulation til I feel better. Yeah, that'll work!

maybebabyR · 22/07/2011 17:43

Sorry to hear you're still feeling rough Have hope those antibiotics kick in ASAP.

Thanks for the biscuit tip Mines will most definitely be bearing that in mind. Just to emphasize the obvious baby brain I have, I just wrote wine back there instead of mind. God, I could murder a glass Smile

I like the target setting Farfalla Do we operate a star system like McDonalds?

This thread never fails to make me Grin!

Biscuitsandtea · 22/07/2011 18:46

Just given DS a little star yogurt so i can keep the pot aside if I should cave in decide to test over the weekend (no fancy ramekins here - I'm more disposable).

Incidentally I remembered today that I do in fact have 5 pee sticks that came with my monitor thing.

However, period pains ramped up a level this afternoon so may not need to put the pee sticks to the test Sad

thelittlefriend · 22/07/2011 19:11

Boo to period pains Biscuits. We know you're pregnant, even if af doesn't.

Exciting symptoms Farfalla, are you testing again in the morning?

Gotta laugh at my post about not having the urge to poas today. I did it this afternoon. BFN :( It is way too early though, I was being a bit daft.

I am really really really going to try and hold out until next Thursday. it will not work

TinFairy · 22/07/2011 19:49

Nevermind, littlefriend. It's just too early for those scanladously rubbish tests to pick up. Sure look at you, you're so pregnant, you're positively glowing!

I have no urge to POAS today at all. OK, so I'm out of interent cheapies but there's a First Response AND a CBD lurking in the drawer (it's like a pic'n'mix of home pg tests in there (DP will have a panic attack if he ever finds my stash) and no inclination to test at all. I also have no symptoms today either. Or is a lack of symptoms a symptom in itself? Hmm

Hope you feel better soon have

Patiencedeficit · 22/07/2011 20:18

Don't worry little friend - not greedy at all! I'm sure it will be you next Smile. I did the same thing the other day and got a BFN but sure it was way too early... Just...have...to...resist...the...urge...to...POAS!!

GenericDietCola · 22/07/2011 20:55

Hello preggos! There is an air of positivity and progesterone in here today ! Can't wait for the BFP target to be smashed this weekend.

Maybe - ooh, ooh, a faint line! Confirmation any day now!

Have rest up and get well soon - plenty of time for swi when you're better and that golden egg will wait for you.

Farfalla confirmation this weekend please chuck

Jaggy so sorry re af, but that puts you in the same cycle as me and WE ARE getting preggo THIS MONTH and we are brooking no argument Think of it as your body's last clear out before the inevitable baby baking.

Biscuits hope am sure those are implantation cramps and the evil witch will stay away this time. Love the forward planning with the yoghurt pot!
