New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
HidingInTheUndergrowth · 17/07/2011 12:28

Congratulations here on your confirmation of what we all knew already. Food work there. Do pop over to the brooking no ant-natal arguement thread. Poor aubers is morstly being sick but we have some lovely cushions :o

I absolutly love 'positive people get positive peesticks'. I want a t-shirt!

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 17/07/2011 12:30

Food!? That was clearly supposed to be 'good'! Stupid phone! Blush

thelittlefriend · 17/07/2011 12:58

Congratulations here! Another bfp for our fab thread.

thelittlefriend · 17/07/2011 13:00

I'm glad I've read "positive people get positive peesticks" as I've been feeling much less than positive today. More random bleeding. OPK's still laughing at me. But I've administered a kick up the bum to myself and will be smacking my rat tonight and every night until I get a bfp. (well ok, maybe not every single night..)

scarletfingernail · 17/07/2011 14:00

Huge congrats Here and thanks for the positive vibes.

Another incorrect negative test for me today. That's 2 major brands that need to have a serious look at their quality control (reckon there's a conspiracy going on to make us buy more tests) as there's still no sign of a period.

I'm trying to chill out but the knicker checking is becoming more frequent. On a more serious note, I don't know wtf is going on with my body. I've never in my life waiting longer than 29 days for a period except when pg and I'm now on CD32. I've had a series of blood tests which have all shown normal hormones so it doesn't make any sense to me.

Bloofer the Hsg is not that bad. I found it no worse than unpleasant and uncomfortable during the process and had a bit of sharp pain later on that evening but was absolutely fine again the next day. The doctor couldn't be 100% sure if it helped me get pregnant the following month but said it was a strong possibility.

MyGoldenNotebook · 17/07/2011 14:09

Scarlet I wanted to join ou as I am also on day 32 of a 29 day cycle and a recent BFN. Of course we are both pregnant, but it is rather annoying not to have it confirmed don't you think? :)

This is an awesome thread by the way; I've been following it since the first post but too shy to post myself Blush and now it looks like it could really be my month!

MyGoldenNotebook · 17/07/2011 14:11

you not 'ou'

jaggythistle · 17/07/2011 14:33

hi mygolden, sounds like you are clearly very pregnant like all the lovely ladies on this fine thread.

especially herethere! yay! good rat smacking effort. Grin

i was a lurker too until i finally realised that brooking no argument (+ obsessive charting) must be the way to go.

i have had much more of an urge to POAS for some reason this month, even though i haven't done it for months. a bit pointless really as we all know how pg we are. also with all these wrong pee sticks about it could get confusing. also also being on day 24 of a cycle which ranges from 26 to 32 days (average 28), it might be a smidge early...

i think i shall just carry on brooking and leave the peeing to another day.

as you were.

GenericDietCola · 17/07/2011 14:56

jaggy you are preggo, but there's no rush to confirm it. Plus we all know the pee sticks are a bit dodgy at the moment.

I'm getting lots of cramps - surely this is implantation of my super healthy embryo - how exciting!

MooseCakey · 17/07/2011 15:44

Happy Sunday afternoon pregnant ladies, may I join you?

This is our first month ttc and all my positive thinking has meant lots of poas. My average is 31 days but it varies, today is only CD28 but that didn't stop me poas this morning and yesterday morning (and maybe the day before and the day before that).

The problem with cheap sticks is I think I may as well give it ago. Anyway they're clearly wrong (a lot of it about I hear) because I had something which may be interpreted as implantation bleeding at CD12-23 and I have been tired AND had a runny nose this week. I couldn't be more pregnant!

spannermary · 17/07/2011 18:02

Hello lovely ladies, may I join you?

This is my first month ttc, having come off the pill 4 weeks ago. No bleeding yet, other than a bit of pink discharge after, erm, 'smacking the rat' is it?! (apologies - I'm 34 and despite being practically an OAP am very new to this and the whole conception malarky!)

Am clearly pregnant as I needed the loo at Tesco's today and when I was done, DH had gone to the car without me (having paid for the shopping and packed everything up) and I promptly burst into tears feeling abandoned - and couldn't find the car anywhere!

...and I've been living on marmite toast!

Too early to POAS?

TigerseyeMum · 17/07/2011 18:32

I reckon I have just ovved so am entering the 2ww. Sigh. I cried on and off today and had a row with my OH. My belly is massive. I have a sore throat and felt flushed.

All signs. Got to be. I've held newborns and everything this weekend.

Imps7 · 17/07/2011 18:55

Wowee another confirmation of the Blindingly Obvious! Very very very many congratulations Here!!!

Tigerseye you are definitely pregnant if you've spent the weekend holding newborns - there's no physical way that you couldn't be. Hurrah for you!

Spanner (or do you prefer Mary??) - it's never too early to POAS - it's really important to practise your aim so that when you do find that stick which is willing to confirm the Blindingly Obvious there is little chance of you missing it.

OH got back yesterday - had a lovely shag this morning (and I'm hoping to tempt him with another one tonight as well - jet lag, schmet lag) - I think I will possibly be OVing tomorrow - it's all to play for!!

spannermary · 17/07/2011 19:02

Thanks Imps - Spanner is fine! Your advice is well noted and, as a result, I'll get practicing my aim first thing tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Oh - and enjoy the jet shag! Smile

TigerseyeMum · 17/07/2011 19:37

Ooh if you're ovving tomorrow Imps then it is a requirement to shag tonight, jet lag or no jet lag (hell, even if there was a time delay and a different zone you should give it a go).

I am massive, and also windypops again Hmm

I am sooo nesting. I have done housework and stuff. Mind you, I nest every month (I dod do housework slighty more frequently though).

Must dash and get washing in, tis raining again

maybebabyR · 17/07/2011 20:23

Evening everyone. Hope everyone's bumps are coming along nicely Smile

I have just burst into tears over the fact that Angelica Bell is pregnant. So to comfort myself, I am drinking wine and knitting.

I have steamed and jacuzzied myself silly today, so muct be tempting some kind of fate surely?

Good luck Spanner It will only confirm what we obviously know already Smile

Imps Brook No Argument. That rat will get smacked tonight.

herethereandeverywhere · 17/07/2011 20:51

Thanks for all your kind words ladies and keep smacking the rat. I might pop over to have a look at the anti-natal thread but will drop back in here to see who's had peestick confirmation and generally chuckle at the most random symptoms.

Patiencedeficit · 17/07/2011 21:22

Oh hello - please may I join? I am loving your positivity. Ttc after mc in March and really really want it to be real this month - keep making up symptoms and then being totally surprised when AF arrives.
Didn't fancy wine this evening - very odd...
Good luck everyone. :)

maybebabyR · 17/07/2011 21:31

Don't forget us Here Smile

Welcome Patience The symptoms this month are real Grin

CosmicMouse · 17/07/2011 21:53

Evening all.

I'm sat at work, bored out of my tree...so of course my mind wanders onto my updiffed nature. Been going to the loo very frequently for reasons of both sorts today, if you get me. I've dredged up the memory from somewhere that I had an upset stomach in the 2ww when I got preg with DD...so I'm once again hopeful.

Still waiting on the cheapie tests and, as I am clearly up ze duff, my BFP. I tried to think positively and tell myself that of course I won't test before next weekend. Then I realised who I was talking to, and accepted I will inevitably test as soon as they arrive...probably with mid-morning wee, and then get all depressed and mopey for a few days. I got a +ve on 12DPO with DD, so that shall be my 2nd goal. I cannot possibly consider that I might not get a +ve on 12DPO this time, as I am quite clearly with child already.

maybebabyR · 17/07/2011 21:56

Cosmic I know where you are coming from. I just POAS. For no good reason. I am only 7 DPO. But I think it is good to practice these things. And when you can buy 60 for under £10, then it would be rude not to wee on them.

CosmicMouse · 17/07/2011 22:25

Well exactly maybebabyR, rude. Poor things would be sat unfulfilled in a drawer somewhere if it wasn't for us noble folk.

maybebabyR · 18/07/2011 04:14

Note to self. When awoken from sleep by scarily real nightmare (CIA agent protecting the country) do not turn on tv to watch emergency in the womb. Not a sure fire way to get back to sleep.

In other news, I feel rather sick. This pregnancy had better prove itself soon Smile

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 18/07/2011 06:21

Hello all! Just popped in to catch up and I find that Here has had a BFP! Yay! Everyone sounds so pregnant, keep up the good work, troops.

Imps7 · 18/07/2011 07:05

Good morning rat smackers!

Crap weather out there - best dig out my warmest maternity wear to get me through the day.

No temperature rise this morning - I was getting concerned that maybe I ov'd on Saturday (didn't take my temp on Sunday - I indulged in some irresponsible drinking on Sat pm and booze always makes my temp sky rocket) but it's still low so hopefully we're still on for egg-popping today.

"Emergency in the Womb" maybe - WTF??
