I know how you feel ladies. I was so determined to cover all bases last month that we tried to do it as often as possible over about 9 days. Made my poor boyfriend totally knackered and so gave it a miss for one day which Im now convinced was THE day as AF turned up last weekend. I was so annoyed!

Karstan · 07/10/2011 12:52

Ages since I've been on here, although looks like it's been quite quiet.

Had long cuddles with a friend's two week old baby boy this morning which was lovely. Was a bit cautious about how it might affect me but it was great, just really pleased for her with her new little family. So confident now that if it doesn't happen for me I'm not going to turn into a bitter old woman Smile

We're still trying (in so much as we're not trying to prevent) but not getting caught up in it. Mentally I feel in quite a good place, if it happens it happens and if it doesn't my life will follow a different path and it's a path that I can think I can still be happy following.

cookiemoo · 08/10/2011 12:34

Hi to everyone!! Just a quick update for me, just started my last cycle of clomid so after this it's a referral for ivf. Fingers crossed!! :)

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 08/10/2011 18:04

And an update from me - a BFP this morning! Grin
Still a little shell-shocked as I only had my erpc forllowing my mc about 9 weeks ago - DH & I certainly don't feel as excited as we did last time, which is a shame, but hopefully we'll get back into our stride Wink
FX this one sticks!

cookiemoo · 08/10/2011 19:08

Wow! Congrats Late, hoping the good news is catching!!! Xx

Squirrel77 · 09/10/2011 15:30

Hi ladies, happy to to report that DH and I have been TTC-ing in earnest after I reminded him that we only have one window per month that then he can recover for the rest of the month.... :o
Been temping and checking the, ahem, mucus - I asked DH whether he thought I'd become obsessed and he said "No, you are just becoming a expert"! But I think I actually ovulated while I was away for a night working, minus DH! Oh well...I feel so excited about it all, but preparing myself for not being too disappointed if when AF arrives....oh the suspense!

1sttimeBlondie · 09/10/2011 20:24

Hi All
First time ever posting online and first time TTC Grin so good to read all the posts
x

Readynow · 10/10/2011 10:28

Congratulations Late. That's great news. :)
AF got me on CD26 as predicted!! I had a little cry that it wasn't happening for me! :( Then decided to think positively & gear up for cycle 9! Lots of SWI for me this month as we are just gtooing to go for it every other day for the whole cycle if we can.

Lucylucy57 · 10/10/2011 14:27

Brilliant news Late! Congratulations!

Sorry to hear you were upset ready. I understand how you feel. Had a little sob myself the other week when af turned up. I really thought I stood a chance last month. Anyway, Im trying to fit in a bit of SWI every day for the next fortnight. Excessive? Probably, but it makes me feel like it might be helping!

HeyMicky · 10/10/2011 14:57

Hi all, I'm a notorious lurker, but thought MN seemed the best place to stop that. I'm 31, TTC #1, 3rd cycle. We were going to wait until the new year, but started SWI after a wedding weekend where first the condom broke, then we were too pissed to care the next night. Now approaching it more sensibly. How is god's name are all these teens getting themselves knocked up? Wink

Readynow · 10/10/2011 15:31

Welcome to the thread HeyMickey. Great name by the way!
I know what you mean. When I was a teenager it was implied if you so much look at a boy you would get up the duff!! :o
Now when we want it to happen. Nada

HeyMicky · 10/10/2011 18:48

Thanks! All those angsty waits after missing one pill... might try in the back of a car, or a bus stop, seems to do the trick

winkle2 · 10/10/2011 18:50

Congrats Late!!! Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Sperm meets egg plan is this:

We're loosely following this.

Beegee757 · 11/10/2011 16:02

[deep breath - here goes! First ever post on anything ever - scary stuff!!]

HI EVERYONE! I'm 34, recently married and came of the pill in May 2011. TTC#1 so I've started taking the vitamins, good diet and excercise etc etc - and still at rather wonderful newly-wed stage (ie not quite at the 'ferning'-and-mucas-checking-pre-medidated-BD-stage!).

Can anyone advice what signs and symptoms of early pregnancy I should look out for please?

Readynow · 11/10/2011 16:49

Hello Beegee. You sound very similar to me!
Early pregnancy signs can be sore boobs, metallic taste in mouth, tiredness.. etc but then some people I know have had no symptoms until well after they missed their AF. I guess you just never know until you get your BFP! Sadly I have not yet had any whiff of a BFP & am just onto my 9th cycle but friends of mine I have got updiffed in the 1st/2nd month of trying. FX it is a short ttc journey for you.

winkle2 · 11/10/2011 20:14

I've done the deed on day 8, 11 and 15 so far this month!

Planning on doing it again tonight, thurs and Friday!

Angelico · 11/10/2011 20:53

Hello all!

I've just joined MN because we are finally at the stage of thinking about ttc. I'm a teacher so going to try and plan it to some degree for maximum maternity leave! (Shameless I know!) Grin

I just ordered one of those clearblue ovulation predictor things so I can track my cycle for a couple of months, then plan is to start trying in Dec / Jan. Anyone know if the monitors work? They seem to get great reviews.

Anyway, bye for now,

A xoxo

Beegee757 · 13/10/2011 09:02

I've had a dull ache below tummy for 2 days now - feels kinda bloated (to the degree that I had to unbutton trousers whilst on the sofa last night - which is unheard of!). AF not due until 25th Oct, so not related to that. Wave of nausea at work yesterday (not sick, but thought I was going to be) - only lasted few mins but felt intense - but think it was just due to being in a hot office. Anyone else had anything like this?

Haven't got any other symptoms - so really don't think I'm preggers, but will keep you posted...

To top it all, had an e-mail from colleauge in Asia asking if it was true I was pregnant (haven't even told anyone I'm trying!). Talk about Chinese whispers......!

MorningHasBroken · 13/10/2011 11:44

Hi, we've been trying since the end of June, was on Cerazette and have had really messed up cycles since then, but POAS last night and it came up with a BFP! Grin

Beegee757 - I've been feeling bloated with a sort of pain/discomfort/butterfly feeling below my tummy for the last week, plus a general nausea all the time, have been hungry a lot and downing pints and pints of water (whereas normally I have about 3 mugs of tea a day, nothing more). I thought it was symptoms of AF but did the test just in case...

Beegee757 · 13/10/2011 15:04

MorningHasBroken - oh my goodness! And HUGE congratulations - how exciting!

But if I am preggers, I can't be very far gone (1 week maybe) - surely I wouldn't have symptoms already?? I'm suddenly feeling very naive!

Probably just a bug going round the office....???!

Squirrel77 · 13/10/2011 16:42

Congrats to all the new pregnant mums on this thread!

I am (I think) 7 DPO and going CRAZY with the 2WW. Aaargghh! (Cycle 1 so will probably lose enthusiasm soon...)

Good luck all xx

Angelico · 13/10/2011 17:30

Ooooh, this is very exciting! Fingers crossed for all pregnant people and people trying to be! The clearblue thing has arrived so will try and get the hang of it for a couple of months, then go for it! Has anyone else used one successfully or unsuccessfully? x

Timtam78 · 13/10/2011 21:30

Just a quick pop in to say a big congrats to those with BFPs recently! Congrats Late and MorningHasBroken!! And good luck this month to everyone else!x

CaveMum · 13/10/2011 22:11

Hello all! I lost you for a while, but here I am again!

Congrats on the BFPs! Not much to report in my world, I'll be starting on the pills in a few weeks so hope they work their magic. On a slightly bum note I discovered this week that no less than 3 couples we know have just announced their pregnancy's. I'm putting on a brave face and lots of smiles, but it's so hard when you feel like a small part of you has just died Sad

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 14/10/2011 08:04

Cave, keeping my fingers and toes crossed that these pills do the trick for you. You've be so patient for so long, I really hope you've turned the corner & are now heading straight for a BFP [hsmile]

Congrats Morning [hgrin], hope all runs smoothly for you from here!
