Thank you everyone. My testosterone is 2.5 and apparently its not meant to be higher than 1.7 but i really dont have a clue what any of it means!!! doctor said it wasnt really high but higher than it should be.
Good luck to you all i really hope you will win your fight to concieve soon, life can be so crap sometimes!

Timtam78 · 25/09/2011 16:45

I'm confused. :( On day 46 now of my first cycle off the pill and I've been having spotting for the last 5 days, well what i think is spotting anyway! More of a brown discharge (sorry TMI). I'm charting on ff but don't know whether to count it as spotting or a light period and start a new cycle. Confused

CaveMum · 26/09/2011 07:07

TimTam sorry to hear your body is not playing ball. The first few cycles off the Pill can be pretty haywire. If the bleeding, albeit light and brown blood, has been consistent over a number of days then is be tempted to consider it a period and start counting days again.

It can take a few months to settle down so try not to stress too much - far easier said than done I know!

Still no news on my front, but I'm giving it another few weeks before I take the pills to induce a bleed. DH is away for a week at the end of October so whatever happens we need to try and make sure we avoid me ovulating that week!

Hey
TTC for the first time, PCOS, Currently on Met, Just had lap & dye and Ov Drilling - hoping to start at next appointment

Hello :)

ToxicMoxie · 26/09/2011 18:05

Trying to conceive is an awful drag! Not the sex part, that bit?s delightful as everyone knows, but the anxiety and indecision. I say indecision, because I am 40, and will be 41 if we conceive. And this would be our first child, and it just seems like we have so many things to do without a child involved, how will anything get done with a child? I mean, obvs they do get done, parents have been getting things done with kids since the get go, but it just seems a bit frightening. At the same time, we are just DYING to have a child. I mean, I really want to have a baby with my husband.

And we have had 2 mmc this year alone. So while we are getting pregnant pretty well (2nd was only 3 months after the first mmc, 1st pg was only 3 months after ending the bc) we aren?t staying pg, and that?s really hard too! Maybe I am more afraid of mmc again than I am about having the baby. Ugh, everything is working so there?s no need for any assistance, it?s just keeping it going is the problem. The first was a blighted ovum, the next we had a heartbeat at 7 weeks, then it died. And while I know these things happen because something is wrong, it?s still frustrating and stressful. Grr.

Sorry for the long rant!

Timtam78 · 26/09/2011 19:00

Thanks Cavemum. :) I think i will treat is as start of cycle two then. I shouldn't be worrying as I know you and lots of others have been waiting a very long time for it to happen. I hope your time comes very soon! ToxicMoxie sorry to hear you've been having problems, hope its 3rd time lucky for you. x

ToxicMoxie · 26/09/2011 19:10

Thanks Timtam! I hope so too! I just don't want to go through another mc if possible.

Lucylucy57 · 26/09/2011 19:20

ToxicMoxie - sounds like you've been having a terrible time of it. It must be really hard to want to get pregnant so much (I know the feeling) yet at the same time be so worried about what will happen. The lack of knowing what your own body is doing in there is just the most frustraiting thing.

Hi MrsDaisies sounds like you've been through the mill too! I hope things are looking positive for you.

winkle2 · 26/09/2011 22:16

Can I join in?

Husband and I have been married nearly 6 months and been together nearly 9 years.

I came off the pill about this time last year and the last couple of months is when we've seriously talked about trying to conceive.

I actually thought I was pregnant this month but my period came today :( 5 days late!! I think my body is finally getting back to normal after being on the pill for so long as my period is really painful like it was when I was younger :(

So here's my stats:

Winkle2, 32, ttc number 1, usual cycle length 29 days although was 33 this month! CD 1.

Good luck everyone!

Paulaonline · 26/09/2011 23:08

Hi everyone,

Just joined MN! Been trying to conceive for 2 months - the waiting game has started!

vanfurgston · 28/09/2011 08:58

hi guys hope every1 is doing well and getting a bit of luck.
its become such a hard process, this TTC. i m trying to stay positive.
thanks for the advice Cavemum . the doc said he would give me the medication in a few weeks if i didnt get a bleed and then they would schedule the HSG.

wineandcheese · 29/09/2011 07:55

Hello, please can I join in? I have just stopped taking the Pill after 12 years and although I had no problems with it I'm looking forward to my body going back to normal! I don't know what my cycle length is and I haven't had a proper period yet but here are my other stats: wineandcheese, 31, TTC #1, UCL ?, CL ?

Paulaonline · 29/09/2011 20:51

Welcome wineandcheese. I only stopped taking the pill a few months ago and luckily my period went back to normal straight away...

exBrightonBell · 29/09/2011 21:29

Hi, I am normally a lurker but am trying to kick that habit and join in... so, hello :-)

I am new to ttc and to mumsnet, and I am already worrying about whether I have been stupid to leave ttc till I am 34 given that my partner and I have been together for 10 years! Stats are:

exBrightonBell (34), ttc number 1, cycle 2, UCL 29ish, CD6

I hope that makes sense!

Squirrel77 · 30/09/2011 12:22

May I join too?

34 years old, TTC #1, 1st cycle, no idea of my other stats - just had Mirena removed and have been on the pill on and off since I was sixteen so no idea what my cycle should be like, but thermometer and chart at the ready!

Good luck everyone!

Readynow · 30/09/2011 12:30

Hi to the newbies! It seems that there are a few of us who are 34 & ttc #1.
I am like you brighton, wondering why I left it 'til now to start trying - I have been with DH over 13 years!! FX to everyone.

Just back from sunny Spain - to a just-as-sunny London! Smile
Thoroughly enjoyed the usually-hideous 2ww, drinking beer & Rioja and eating truckloads of cured ham Grin
AF is a few days late, but won't do a test until next Sat as not sure if this cycle could be a little bit longer than my usual pre-miscarriage ones....

Welcome newbies, in the nicest possible way I hope your stay on this thread is short! Grin

winkle2 · 04/10/2011 08:45

Anyone else doing the sperm meets egg plan? I'm on CD 9 so started the plan last night. Fingers crossed it works!

Timtam78 · 04/10/2011 19:59

whats that winkle2?

Readynow · 05/10/2011 09:34

No Winkle2 not tried that yet but then I do ov quite early in my cycle anyway around CD11. We tend to SWI EOD when I start to see EWCM (TMI!) & some cycles I start to get it as early as CD7.
If I don't get my BFP this cycle then it will be onto cycle 9 so am quite desperate to try anything! I think we have pretty much decided to SWI EOD throughout the whole cycle regardless of when I think I have Ov'd - just in case I am wrong! Will be a busy month :o

Squirrel77 · 05/10/2011 11:30

Hi ladies - I joined the thread recently (34, TTC#1, Cycle 1)...anyway, I had the Mirena taken out last Friday and am now officially TTC....except we haven't er....attempted anything yet! :o Can't seem to get in the mood - I was slightly freaked out about the whole decision for a few days and DH is on late shift and doesn't get to bed til 1:30am, also is feeling unwell. Not exactly conducive to TTC... I feel a little frustrated and want to get started! I wonder if this has happened to anyone else?

Readynow · 05/10/2011 11:57

Should really be working but MN is much more fun :o
I think alot of people feel like you Squirrel, certainly for me some days we just can't be bothered to SWI! It sounds terrible but some days when we feel we have to SWI as to not miss a vital time around OV we just get to it (no foreplay or anything) Blush My DH would be horrified if he knew what I shared on here!
