Hello all
It's all a bit dull for me at them moment - haven't a clue where I am in my post-mc wtf cycle. I'm dutifully taking my temp every morning, taking my vitamins and checking the pant snot - it's all over the place, there's no pattern! For someone who was used to a regular-as-clockwork cycle, this is a little hard to take!

Cave, hope you're not standing on the platform for the Clomid Land train for too much longer Wink

Good luck to all you new charters, I've found it really helpful and on the cycle where I got my bfp it was really obvious that it was a successful cycle.

Pipbin · 18/08/2011 23:28

Evening all.

The following may contain TMI

Some of you might be interested to know that I went it have my smear test in the week and told the nurse I was TTC and she was happy to do it still.
I had also noticed that I was bleeding after having a bowel movement but I knew it wasn't coming from my back passage and would she mind having a look while she was up there.
She did and said that I had a tear, most likely from to much SWI!

She also said that she struggled to take my smear as my womb kept moving!

desperateoldie67 · 19/08/2011 06:02

You have a wriggling womb Pipbin??? Shock

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 19/08/2011 10:51

Well Pipbin, no-one can accuse you of not showing commitment to the TTC cause! Grin What's the moving womb all about? Confused
When are you next due to POAS?!

millyv · 19/08/2011 10:52

Morning all!

Hope you're all having a good day, I went to tesco this morning and have bought a digital thermometer - only £4.99. I've successfully signed up to fertility friend too so am going to start this charting malarky in the hope it helps me!

Does anyone know if you can buy just the sticks for the CB ovulaion kits - I think its a waste of money buyng the whole pack with the stick reader in each time?

Pipbin hope you're ok, never thought about tears from SXI - will make a note not too be too rough in future! Did you ask how your womb was moving? These bodies of our don't half test us do they! Wink

Latetothisbabymalarky I hope things settle down for you soon and that you are coping ok aft MC, fingers crossed your cycle will settle down soon! Xx

Cave hope you don't have to wait too long.

This might seem like a silly question, I'm obviously not at all up to speed on the fertility process but what is clomid?

Told my DH about you guys last night and how its nice to be able to talk to oter ladies in the same position without the fear of people thinking you're winging and he was really supportive and said it was good at least I wasn't letting everything bottle up inside! Thanks for all of the help ladies! Smile

Readynow · 19/08/2011 13:43

I have been looking into this but as far as I can tell you can't buy just the sticks for the CB digitial OPK. It seems mad that you can't though.

Lucylucy57 · 19/08/2011 14:00

A friend of mine managed to track them down from somewhere on the net last year. I will quiz her and let you know.

desperateoldie67 · 19/08/2011 14:03

I had a look too milly but struck out...sorry

ChocolateWindmill · 19/08/2011 14:07

hey millyv seems we're on the same boat! Old hag just turned up in the night and pissed me right off, so I'm going to start charting. Just downloading the app now!

bradderswantsababy · 19/08/2011 17:21

Is there room for another newby on here? I came off the pill (cilest) 4th August and had withdrawal bleed on 6th Aug. I have been on the pill for nearly years so I am guessing that will take a while to get it out of my system as well as getting a feel for cycle and stuff. I was having sickness and cramps but I think its effects of coming off it? Has anyone elsse been on Cilest that could shed some light?

I have gone from happily seeing how things go on the baby front to going a bit wappy looking out for symptoms and POAS even though there is no way I can be PG.

This looks like a lucky thread so it cant hurt to come along for the ride :)

Timtam78 · 19/08/2011 19:10

hi bradderswantsababy...you're a week in front of me :) had my withdrawal bleed on 11th August! I've started charting to see what my body is getting up too now its not being pumped full of hormones! Good luck!

J4D3 · 19/08/2011 19:40

Hey bradderswantsababy I too was on Cilest for 4 years. I don't wnt to scaremonger as I know everyone is different but my cycles have been all over the place and my last pill was July 2010! Currently on what looks like is another 53 day cycle Confused. I felt nausious for a few days but no sickness. I really hope your body is fairer to you than mine has been!

Chocolate sorry about the uninvited visitor, she can be a real cow!

musicalmrs · 20/08/2011 14:33

Hi all! I'm a newbie, and a fellow first first time frolicker wishing to join your ranks if I may! Officially TTC #1 since earlier this month, so I'm not trying to get my hopes up just yet - but it's hard not to be excited! Think I'm boring DH by going on about it all the time though..!

Have been charting for a little while, so hoping that might help us out! Lovely to hear the stories of so many in the same position - good luck to us all! :)

CaveMum · 20/08/2011 19:40

Hello ladies, and welcome to the mad house musicalmrs!

Well I'm going to have a TMI moment with you all, so apologies if anyone is eating! It appears I may be having a period Grin now I know that kind of thing is not normally celebrated around here, but seeing as it is my first non-medically induced period in 14 months I'm going to take it as a positive thing!
I went to the loo about an hour or so ago and there was a tiny bit of old brown blood, and after going again just now there is some red blood and I'm feeling the start of cramping!

I have to admit I was a teeny bit suspicious that something was up as about 2 weeks ago I had a sudden rush of pant snot (EWCM) but didn't want to get my hopes up as my body has thrown me plenty of curve balls over the last year or so!

So, anyway, yay I may finally be back in working order! (crosses fingers and toes)

Huia · 20/08/2011 19:44

Arrgh AF came today. Two days late. I was feeling the PMT to be honest - a bit spotty and choccy-craving, but I'm usually regular and the two days were just enough to get my hopes up.

Only our first month of TTC, but I won't see DH for another two months, then will see him for only two weeks, and then won't see him again for another 2 months. So am feeling rather pissed off.

Ok, self-pitying whinge over. Time for a nice big Wine

Pipbin · 21/08/2011 14:44

cavemum
Hurrah for having your first 'real' period.

Heaven knows what's going on with me by DH is taking 'every other day' very seriously. Even though we were both shattered last night he still got the job done. I guess I'll just see what happens.

I've had a thought about EWCM - you know how you have it when you are ovulating because it keeps the sperm all safe and happy? Well surely by the time it's ended up in you knickers its all over?

Oh, and as for my last message about the run away womb and the tear; well the tear didn't hurt at all, if she hadn't told me I'd done it then I wouldn't have known. As for my womb moving, heaven knows what that was about.

desperateoldie67 · 21/08/2011 14:56

Awesome Cavemum. Here's hoping things start getting back on track for you. Although "pant snot" gave me a giggle! :o

CaveMum · 21/08/2011 15:20

Thanks ladies Grin

Pipbin I think that the EWCM should be present for a few days prior to ovulation, to ease the way as it were! If you have EWCM for 3 days you can assume, after the fact, that you probably ov'd on the third day. I'd just take the first sighting as a sign to stand by for duty!

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 21/08/2011 19:07

Hey Cave, that's good news! Generally speaking we shouldn't really celebrate the arrival of AF, but in this case I think we can make an exception Wink

I have been having a few days of very mild cramps - really don't know what they are, AF? Pg? Who knows?! I guess that's why they call it the WTF cycle!

TomboyWife · 21/08/2011 23:55

Cave hooray for bodies being in working order! Hoisting a Wine in honour of The Red Menace!

Late been there, done that re: cramping during the WTF cycle. It came and went several times for me before I finally got a period (a full 8 weeks after my mc, but that's an unusually long time -- hopefully it'll be much shorter for you).

Apologies for yet another long absence from the thread. The excuse this time is being on holiday.

vanfurgston · 22/08/2011 07:24

hey guys, been trying for a baby since last sep and now my periods have been way erratic. i have pcos so its been very hard for me. got referred to fertility clinic finally. first appointment is in sept. fingers crossed

Lucylucy57 · 22/08/2011 10:44

Good luck vanfurgston - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Imps7 · 22/08/2011 14:02

Yay yay yay Cavemum!! So glad things seem to be in full working order this month! Funny how it's coincided with you moving into your lovely family house! How is the house coming along, by the way?

Have you been anywhere nice Tomboy?

Readynow · 22/08/2011 14:07

Going by past cycles I am just about getting to my fertile stage. Let the SWI commence! Although am off camping this Friday & not sure I like the thought of SWI in a tent in case anyone hears! :o
Pipbin I usually get EWCM about 4 or 5 days before ovulation so I guess as soon as you see it you are in your fertile stage. Fingers crossed for everyone this month.

vanfurgston · 22/08/2011 14:52

thanks lucylucy :) yep readynow fingers and toes crossed
