Hey ladies, Sorry I haven't replied since Friday - hope everyone has had a good weekend! i'm feeling a lot more positive today, have started charting, done my lessons on fertility friend (who knew the body was so technical!) and am ready to SWI as soon as the signs are there!

Congrats cavemum, fingers crossed your cycles start to regulate themselves now!

Thanks for all of the info about the CB ovulation test sticks, I asked the pharmastist in Tesco and she looked in this book and said yes you can get them but they don't stock them, although if I wanted she would see if they could order them for me. I shall have a look on the net.

Hope everyone has a good day! xx

Prunella79 · 22/08/2011 15:01

Hello, Can i enter the fray?
currently coming to terms with the idea of TTC, came off the pill for the first time in 15 years at the beginning of August and have realised i don't know anything about my body's natural tendencies.
AF was always unpredictable so i'm at a loss to know what to expect now.
I think i'm 8dpo but might be wrong.

Snowy27 · 22/08/2011 15:03

Just got my BFP!
This has been a very luck thread!
Thanks to everyone who had a good moan with me
xx

millyv · 22/08/2011 15:08

Huge Congratulations snowy fingers crossed the thread stays lucky!

Prunella I can't personally comment about the pill as haven't been on one for years but a friend of mine fell pregnant the first month she stopped taking it but I also hear of other ladies who take a while for their bodies to fall back into their natural cycle - good luck!

bradderswantsababy · 22/08/2011 15:24

Woo Hoo Snowy thats great news :)

Thanks for the warm welcome on here. Its nice be able to talk to people that are in the same boat.

I think I have turned into a crazy woman at the moment. I am now on my 2WW but every time I have the slightest sort of symptom I am searching the web for answers!!

My list so far is cramps, feeling full when not really eaten much, palpitations and feeling increasingly tired.

I am sure I'm not PG as this is my first month off the pill after over 10 years and more likely that the above symptoms are due to my body not being pumped with chemical hormones.

Is anyone else becoming slightly manic about TCC?

mrsmellow · 22/08/2011 15:27

Hello!
I've also just stopped the pill after a very long time, just finished AF, CD5... no idea what to expect or when to start SWI, so figure tonight seems like a good time....I'm manic already bradders...hoping this truly is a lucky thread!

Prunella79 · 22/08/2011 15:53

Thanks millyv, kind of embarrassed to know so little about my own body.

Congrats snowy glad to hear i've entered a lucky thread...

bradders i've had similar symptoms beginning with the palpitations but they all ground to a halt when i realised all the others could be caused by the palpitations and that they were probably caused by anxiety at the possibilities, i'm amazed how much this process could wind one up and yet still such early days!
hope yours are real symptoms though...

itsmekatielou · 22/08/2011 15:54

hello, i thought i would jump on the bandwagon if that's okay. I'm TTC too, but i'm having IUI as i married a girl and neither of us have the other part required for baby making! we're in the planning stages at the moment, had all the preliminary tests done, now just waiting for the right time, which we're hoping will be in September sometime! We're going to Denmark to have the IUI done so are going to make it less stressful by trying to make a little holiday out of it. i'm trying to be optimistic about it, but at the same time trying not to get my hopes up too much!

desperateoldie67 · 22/08/2011 16:01

Hello to the new ladies. Congratulations Snowy - bloody hell this IS a lucky thread - in which case, I'm sticking around.

AF was due today, hasn't yet arrived, so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed but I'm not very hopeful. Wish she's actually show her face if she's going to and then I can get on with ttc again!

Not getting your hopes up really is a non-starter katielou...honestly, you just can't help it. Having a holiday AND getting up the duff sounds nice :) I'll be lucky if I get dinner cooked for me LOL! :o

bradderswantsababy · 22/08/2011 16:06

Welcome itsmekatielou September will soon be here how exciting :)

mrsmellow looks like we are both at the same place as I came off the pill 2nd Aug lets both be manic together!!

Prunella you make total sense my poor ticker is prob just not used to this much worrying I think I need to take a chill pill and enjoy the TCC and SWI!!

Prunella79 · 22/08/2011 16:09

i'd raise a glass to that bradders if i weren't so neurotic already and trying not to drink just in case

desperateoldie67 · 22/08/2011 16:11

I know that feeling well Prunella!! Drives you completely and utterly barking all this ttc!

CaveMum · 22/08/2011 16:39

Woo hoo Snowy!!! My this is a lucky thread! Dare I hope the tradition of "whoever starts the thread gets a BFP before the end will apply to me??!!" I won't get my hopes up just yet - one period does not a regular cycle make!

Imps the house is coming along, thanks for asking. Still plenty to be unpacked but we have lots of time to do it right. I do wonder if the stressing over the house move has allowed my focus to shift from stressing about my PCOS? The old adage, if you relax it'll happen is annoying but probably true to a certain extent.

It is probably time that we put the stats back into action, so if everyone can post their up to date stats we can cobble them together.

Copy and paste as you go along, I'll start:
