Diege · 11/07/2011 15:25

Hi panashe, hope you're ok? Spotting can be really scary, though usually totally normal of course. Has it stopped now? x

panashe · 11/07/2011 15:31

Hello Diege thanks for asking. Yes had nothing since last night and it wasn't really very much more mucous. Still having lots of ewcm. How are you and how is the marking going ? Grin

panashe · 11/07/2011 15:36

And my tummy is just bubbling away, driving me mad. I have been googling it and apparently its gas or acid ?!? Although one person on a forum said she had it and mc 3 days later - need to stay off Dr Google

Diege · 11/07/2011 15:41

Stay off the google!!!! What you've had does sound spookily like the spotting I had this time - pink mucous, almost egg white, though did get heavier with little bits of clots. All fine as you know! How many weeks are you now?
Marking is going at a snail's pace. Only managed 3 so far today, as have 'proper work' on my back too...I MUST get finished by Friday as I can't afford to get paid late!

hippychick66 · 11/07/2011 16:16

panashe - hope the spotting is nowt to worry about.

bb - how are you doing?

tank your daughter is beautiful - peeked on your blog. Grin

shandy could the bleeding be ovulation bleeding or is it too much for that and defo AF?

Must go, my daughter is being naughty, "Harper-seven, stop that immediately!!!" Grin

Diege · 11/07/2011 16:53

Hee hee, so you're not a trucker after all Hippy? Grin. Doesn't the name remind you of that series, what's it called, where everyone was killed off when they were 30? Logan's run??? Confused

AngelGeorgie · 11/07/2011 19:02

I forget who asked but think it was diege. The little girl we met the other day was delivered at 26 weeks due to a failed placenta. They gave the mum steroids for 24 hours and then whipped her out. All very touch and go but she is fine now.

She is their only child and she is dead cute. I know deep down that I would cope if that happened to me - I'd have two wonderful helpers. My boys pushed her round the moor for hours in her pushchair (music on the moor - Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead.)

Hi all - back from RAF Camp. Boy, what a weird experience. We slept in tents inside a vast hangar kitted out like a sports field (a bit like Center Parcs, but without the 'glamour'). There was a drinks machine selling Poweraid and somewhere to charge your phone. Pointless, though, as there was no signal. I looped the loop (and promptly chucked up) and learnt how to shoot (I'm surprisingly good - exdp has been warned). So, have spent the last 3 hours reading the thread! Hope I've not got too confused.

TTT - so pleased you managed to give birth to Harper Seven at home. I hope you took pictures to send to that vile obstetrician. I bet she's gorgeous. Clever you!

Hippy I missed your gig at Music on the Moor Sad. Were you singing your own stuff or covers? Would I have recognised you? I'm guessing you were the one with the guilty expression; we all know you should be PACKING!!!!!!!!!!!! You're such a cool cucumber. Don't forget to put the bike on the roof rack.

BB I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. You seem to be very calm and in control, which must be helping you get through this.

Diege I'm waiting for my results. Will you PLEASE MARK MY PAPER!

Panashe I'm so excited for you. All my sticky-bean supply is on its way to you.

Gum We're not too old. It only takes one juicy egg; we might have a struggle finding it, but I'm guessing it's in there. Fingers crossed.

Shandy dodgy cycles settle down. Hang on in there.

Curly love to you - how's it going?

Love to all sorry for the marathon!

Italiangreyhound · 11/07/2011 22:27

Harper Seven sounds like a space ship or something out of the Borg! (Star Trek!).

My hubby said something funny tonight! There was an ad on TV for 'Diet Chef'. They said "It's just what ever woman wants." And then they said "We send you seven days' worth of meals."

And hubby added, "... And you can eat them all at once!" Wink

Italiangreyhound · 11/07/2011 22:46

Ooo er Mrs!

uk.health.lifestyle.yahoo.net/biggest-baby-in-texas-born.htm

"A woman in Texas has given birth to a baby boy weighing 16lb, around twice the average weight of newborn babies in the UK... He was delivered with a full head of hair and the hospital nursery did not have nappies big enough to fit him, Ms Johnson told the Longview News Journal."

hopefulgum · 12/07/2011 00:05

Wow, Italian that is one humungous baby! It would have been hard work carrying him around.

Harper Seven reminds me of that Sci Fi show from the 80's - Blake's Seven. I loved that show!

I think "Harper" is okay (quite American sounding though) but why have "Seven"? Is it just to be different, or is there some significance? Of course we should all just mind our biz, but how can we when celebs are so irritating?

Lou - thanks for your kind words, and everyone else too. I know it's a case of "one good egg", I just don't want to go through anymore miscarriages. And this wait for results and to see my doc feels so long (but nothing in comparison to Italian's wait.)

As for the toddler - I think he is reacting to my state of mind. He has been incredibly clingy lately. I suppose that's to be expected when I have been preoccupied.

He's got daycare (nursery) today, and my DH is on his term break from teaching, so we will have some time together in town and will go out for lunch. It will be nice.

Penashe I hope all is well. It is such a trying time.

BB, how are you? Sending ((hugs)) _ I hope that's okay?[hsmile]

Italiangreyhound · 12/07/2011 01:08

Hopefulgum I think the 7 is something to do with it being lucky and also a religious number (in Hebrew it is the number of perfection, I think) and maybe he played as number 7! But it's a bloomin' daft name! There is a Welsh name that sounds similar which I think is so much better!

The meaning of the name Seren is Star
The origin of the name Seren is Welsh

www.babynames.com/name/SEREN
But who am I to tell the Beckhams!

Regarding "welcome womb" can you link to the site, I found one and wonder if it is the same.

Well just watched another blomin' OBEM! It's the one where the Thai woman is married to the Italian and they have been together for 20 years and finally had a baby with IVF. Lovely and so sad, and great, yes, I cried.

Hippy start packing and stop singing!

hopefulgum · 12/07/2011 11:06

Italian, it's from a website called:www.wishgardenherbs.com/index.html

I think it works best if you miscarry due to hormonal imbalance. If you google "welcome womb tincture" or "welcome womb herbs" you'll find many testamonials. But if my miscarriages are due to chromosomal issues I doubt it will make any difference. It also can help with an irritable uterus (which I've had in past pregnancies) so it may be helpful in that regard too.

I've also heard that enzyme therapy helps some women. This has opened up a huge can of worms! It's really just something I'm doing to keep busy until I can actually see the doctor and hopefully get the test results. It can take 4 - 6 weeks with chromo testing, so who knows. I don't feel like I'm going to ovulate any time soon, and I don't want to get pregnant right away, until I've had some information about the miscarriage, and maybe had some tests for clotting issues, progesterone etc.

I read on the thread about the Beckhams that the seven was significant in a few ways. Still sounds daft to me!

This is the blogg that got me interested:lifelossandotherthings.blogspot.com/p/welcome-womb-my-experience.html

hopefulgum · 12/07/2011 11:16

Also found this ITalian:

"I had to look it up, since I've never heard of it. The contents are all native American plants that are anti-spasmotics. I'm not an herbalist, but I've not heard of using any of them for placenta previa.

Wild Yam is an anti-inflammatory herb. It's great for stomach issues and cramps, but also is used to help regulate hormones during menopause.

False Unicorn root (aka Helonias Root) is a uterine tonic. It's usually used for women who have a history of miscarriage or longer than average cycles to improve ovarian function.

Black Haw is traditionally used to prevent miscarriage. It contains a chemical that is related to aspirin, so if you're sensitive to aspirin, you shouldn't take it."

Curlylox · 12/07/2011 21:04

Just popping in to say..... thanks hippy for pm and yours was the only pm. TTT I agree with all the others - she's beautiful. Lol an RAF camp, rather you than me and thank you for making me giggle. Forgot to say my little sis had her baby 2 weeks ago, a boy weighing in 3 kg - he's diddy compared to the babies I've had. Aunty Curly has had lots of cuddles and helped with naming him (can't believe my sis didn't have a list of names ready, what is she like Shock). I'm so happy for her and her dh, now I just want one of my own thank you very much Grin.

lolfactor · 12/07/2011 22:05

Some thought provoking spiritual stuff at lifelossandotherthings.blogspot.com/2011/01/think-of-eternity.html

I am just amazed so many people blog these days!

panashe · 13/07/2011 10:02

Morning Smile

Hope everyone is ok quite quiet on here. Thanks curly and Italian for asking after me. Hanging in there at the moment. Keep having that heavy feeling in tummy like before af especially if I'm on my feet alot so trying to take it easy but feeling philosophical that what will be will be.

Looking forward to the summer holidays, I just love the relaxed feeling of 6 weeks to chill, no routine to follow. Playing on my sons iPad at moment & kind of thinking I want one of these Grin

Went into back of someone at roundabout yesterday, have been driving since I was 17 and apart from skidding on ice have never had accident. It really shook me and I thought I had completely trashed the car the sound it made. The couple in the car were very nice and he said he was going to go but car coming fast so he changed his mind and braked, but obviously my fault.

Thinking about everyone, love to all xxx

Italiangreyhound · 13/07/2011 10:16

Panshe I am so sorry you had an accident, it must have been a real scare. Just a relief if no one was injured. I think you had a lucky escape. Someone went into me on a roundabout when I was on a motobike about 25 years ago! It was the same thing, I was going to go then I changed my mind.

If no one was hurt try not to worry too much about car, just take it as a lucky escape. Thinking of you (I too have been driving since 17 but I think I have had a few accidents and the one the other day was my fault!). God Bless.
