Yellow, you must resemble a colander by now!
You will be teary hun; boredom, tiredness, nerves, stress, all conspiring. Not long now!
Re. your question, not sure - when I was having contractions all my concentration was on managing them - don't recall Gabes moving. Tis different with an induction though.
I had a pessary inserted, this was painless. It went in around 10am, and fell back out in the loo around 6pm, after an hour or so of cramps, along with quite a lot of blood which they weren't worried about, it was a show apparently.
The pessary can bring on contractions very quickly when it gets going, and they are quite intense. Please know that a certain high level of pain means things are well underway, you will not have this for hours and should therefore not panic or think you have a low pain threshold (as I did) - insist on being examined, insist on pain relief. When you feel an overwhelming pressure, sort of like you want to poo but not quite, and want to sit on the loo or get on all fours, you are close. When you know instinctively that you need to push, you are very close. If you say you need to push, it tends to get the midwives' attention, and if this doesn't work say you need to poo, that will work!
You should go through all of this with pain relief, I didn't thanks to midwives thinking I was being a drama queen I expect, and because I was still only 3cm dilated quite late in the day - nonsense, insist on attention and you will be just fine. I did get gas and air for the last ten minutes which was a delight, I can highly recommend it!
I hope this doesn't make you more nervous, it seems to be a common tale with inductions that things can accelerate rapidly all of a sudden (I say that, it's still hours) and catch everyone by surprise - had I known how quickly it would be over though, from feeling the first serious contractions, I'd have felt a lot better, so do take that with you and it should help you manage the pain and focus on the end result - a gorgeous baby (remember the bruised boxer schnoz though)!
