I'll give you a clue, lots of censorship, cannot access Facebook or YouTube! Anyone? I'm om iPad too wombat

Well done to mr harassed, I don't think I would have been able to watch!

harassedandherbug · 02/09/2011 12:04

Ahhh you're in Libya! I hear the weather's nice at this time of the year Hmm

There's a pic of dh post fight on my FB page. You can't see the black eye that he's now sporting Grin.

Ooooh verrrrry exciting news!! I've just bought myself a Bugaboo Cameleon .....I am ridiculously excited about picking it up on Sunday

Sparklywine · 02/09/2011 13:59

Yellow, you're either in China or Hull? Grin
Sorry for being crap posting too, just plodding along really - the blooming stage has passed me by it seems, feeling headachey and nauseous again. Had to take yesterday off work, I was exhausted and had turned grey (think John Major eating peas) Monts kicking a lot more though which is lovely. Wombat, like you I'd be happier with some sort of pattern, might start logging when he's most active - apparently his sleep patterns are already set, so keen to see what I'm in for! I don't think Gina has any advice for establishing a pattern this early on though Grin

We put up the cot last night (in cotbed form) which freaked me out a bit to be honest, it suddenly seemed very real - we wouldn't normally do it so early but we're babysitting tonight so it made sense to get a nursery vibe underway. It looks cute but I'm panicking about lack of space now, and where to put the hideous metal clothes dryers now I can't shut them out of sight.
Righto, off to google the bugaboo cameleon and drool with envy! Hi to all x

harassedandherbug · 02/09/2011 14:14

Oh Sparkly you sound down in the dumps lovely!!! I'm not particularly blooming either. Still got ms (at 24 flipping weeks!), spd and also suffering from headaches. My Bugaboo is second hand, couldn't afford a brand new so have a nearly one for less than half the price!

I'm trying to get most of the baby bits before the end of this month, as we then I need to start thinking money-wise about Christmas with our ridiculously large family! As well as 4 kids I have 7 nieces/nephews and my grand-daughter......

We also use the spare/baby room for clothes dryers!

MarathonMama · 02/09/2011 14:41

Hello all! Just came on quickly to say oooh to harassed's Bugaboo. We got given a second hand one for DD and I bloody love it. What colour is it?

Sparkly hope you're feeling more sparky soon.

I can't stop as I've got to pick DD up from nursery but wanted to check in and say hello and wish everyone and their bumps well.

I'm 12 weeks today - eek! Scan on Weds.

wombatinwaiting · 03/09/2011 13:52

Aw sparkly - sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish - can Mrs Parkly do anything to get you back into feeling blooming Wink? Well done for putting up the cotbed - I felt funny even ordering ours last week and it won't even arrive for another month! Have you read Gina yet? It seems to split people into 2 distinct camps.

Another one here with a 2nd hand bugaboo cam harassed - black and red which is fine for our team yellow although I have visions of being told that our screaming child matches it.... Hmm Will be onto your fb page to check out hubby soon! Very well done to you both for making it through!

Now yellow - I'm at a bit of a loss.... could be Dubai as our internet connection is sometimes so poor we can't access those.... I'm thinking China though.

Good to hear from you marathon - hope the wait for weds scan isn't too awful.

Had a super spicy thai beef salad for lunch which I was puffing and panting over but wombatjunior seemed to take it all in his stride- he must be made of tuff stuff!

Oh, and keep meaning to tell you that we went to K9 friends the other day (Dubai equivalent of Battersea Dogs Home) and came home with a beautiful new pooch who had been named Beauty but we have changed it to Lucy - she is indeed extremely pretty, has passed the kid test with a 7 year old, tolerates the cat and seems to have settled in really well seeing as she was at the kennels for a whole year. Will upload pic to my profile when I work out how to do that.

wombatinwaiting · 04/09/2011 12:56

Tis very quiet on here... hope everyone is well and enjoying your Sundays. Went back to work today but not too manic (hence time to post here Grin ).

Think I am having ice cream withdrawls from hols- can't seem to think about anything other than that right now!

Wormshuffler · 04/09/2011 17:36

I'm here! Just have nothing interesting to say, hope the new pooch is settling in well wombat and that you are feeling a bit brighter sparkly.
I have lots of movement today which is lovely :)
Busy tonight sorting kids out for back to school tomorrow. And picking up a Moses basket and rocking stand from an old school friend and will also get to play with her 5 months old.
Hope you are all ok x

harassedandherbug · 04/09/2011 18:41

I've had a really busy weekend!! Mil has been in hospital for 8ish weeks now, so had to go there on Saturday, which takes a huge chunk of the day.

Today we've been to Chichester in the pouring rain to pick up the buggy (it's red fleeces and dark grey base mama), and then went to Southsea as it had finally stopped raining. Just finished off dd's summer scrapbook, the school had better send it home and not chuck it in the bin! Now trying to persuade her to have a shower. It's not late at all apparently........ And she doesn't even want me to take her to school tomorrow, she wants the child minder!!Looking forward to sitting down later.

I had physio on Friday and I'm on crutches now Sad. I was gutted on Friday and admit to having a bit of a sob. Used them yesterday and they were awful, but didn't today and am suffering......... I have chiro in 10days, so hopeing she'll work some magic. I do feel wonky iykwim.

Oh and my sister is in hospital on the Isle of Wight after breaking 6 ribs whilst sailing. She's in agony and has an epidural now.

All go here!!!

wombat saw your dog on Fb, she is indeed beautiful!

wombatinwaiting · 05/09/2011 05:58

Yay for movements worm - hope you and harassed managed to get everything sorted for the big return to school today - I bet those summer hols passed quickly.....

Poor you on crutches harassed - is it a case of once you've got spd, it's a case of managing it for the best rather than it will go away? I have found yoga stretches fab for keeping my backache at bay but I've no idea if it will work for you. I really hope that the chiro does the trick - can't be any fun..... ouch for your sis too Shock - is she being well looked after?

Tis our anniversary today (only number 2) so was greeted with a cup of tea this morning and a huge bunch of flowers Smile. Off for my anti-D injection tomorrow - apparently they inject it right into the muscle- ouch! I'm hoping they might measure me too - I'm sure I should have had this fundal height thing done by now (although I'm not quite sure what it actually is), especially as bump doesn't seem particularly big - always something to fret about, isn't there?!

Waves to all and leaves out fresh baguettes with President butter and Bonne Maman jam - feeling tres francais today! x

harassedandherbug · 05/09/2011 10:23

Mmm yum, lovely breakfast!! Am I the only person obsessed by food? The cravings are subsiding thank goodness, apart from the need for the odd bacon sarnie.

Wombat happy anniversary! Well done Mr Wombat for tea and flowers.

2009 was a good year to get married, we did too Grin.

Sister is in hospital for a few days, just such a pain she's on the Isle of Wight! Takes best part of the day....

Dd now at school. I got the sack, and she wanted the child minder to take her! Pick on my Fb if you want a nose.

wombatinwaiting · 05/09/2011 11:12

Aw harassed - she's adorable. There's something school tunics and fresh white ankle socks that is soooo loveable. Sorry you got the sack - hope you got to rest up your poor hips while CM did the duty!

nurse47 · 05/09/2011 20:11

Hi ladies, sorry not been around i have been reading the odd post but my BB broke i never seem to have time to check on my laptop!
Ive finished work now have 3 weeks annual leave then 1 week mat leave before due date!!!!!!! I cant believe i only have 3 weeks and 4 days argghhhh!!! nursery is all finished and i only did my bags yesterday which are half empty as i need half the stuff so it will just have to go in when i gon into labour! Im really suffering with SPD, so im hoping im early!!!
Enough about me how are we doing with BFP? did i see mrsb got a BFP? anyone else? does anyone know what there having? Anyone heard from manama when is she due im sure it must be in the next couple of weeks?? hope your all keeping well?

harassedandherbug · 05/09/2011 20:28

MrsB update: She can't log on at the moment but is now 7 weeks and feeling rubbish which mw has said is good. I have to say I agree after feeling completely rubbish with this one!

nurse wow not long!!! How are you feeling?? I've got spd too and am now on crutches at 24 weeks, blooming hurts doesn't it. We're having a boy, just "discussing" names, this is why we have to find out Grin.

jkklpu · 05/09/2011 20:43

Not a regular here so not sure how acceptable it is to moan ... Am 7+1wks after mc in March and am already feeling that this is going soooooo slowly. Am in a country where it's quick to get scan appointments, so no point even making a booking until am at at least 10 and it just seems ages away.

I'm lucky enough to have 2ds already and to have had pretty much hassle-free pregnancies with them. This time around, while I haven't been sick I just have a permanent sense of low-level nausea and feel quite listless (or exhausted, depending on the time of day). I completely appreciate that this is nothing compared with some of you, but just feel like a wee moan.

One thing on my mind, however: I work full-time in quite a responsible job and feel rather unmotivated. Should I inform my boss (who has had mcs herself in the past) that I'm pregnant? I don't want her - or anyone else - making allowances but I do wonder if it might help to explain a possibly obvious lack in positivism.

Feel free to put the boot in if you think I should keep my trivialities to myself.

wombatinwaiting · 06/09/2011 09:58

Just fab to hear from you nurse but eeeeek! REally not long to go now! I have a feeling manamana wasn't too far behind you.... We're still team yellow and 28+5 today - don't know where the time has gone! Hope the spd is bearable until babynurse arrives. And yes, mrsb does have a bfp. We're all pulling together for wellie now.

Talking of which, when do you get your / DH's test results back wellie? Hope all is well with you both down under.

Hello and welcome jkklpu - sorry to hear about your mc and a quiet congrats for your bfp. These are not trivialities at all and it's what we're here for. Yes, the time is horribly slow the first 12 weeks or so, the best advice I can give is one day at a time. There is absolutely no harm in booking up a scan before the 10 weeks - they can usually see a heartbeat around 6.5 weeks so if you think it might help with the menatalling, then why not book one up now? It might also help you decide to speak to your boss. In any event, if she has sadly experienced mcs herself, then she will be very understanding and it will give you one less thing to worry about. Out of interest, did you just randomly hit letters on the right hand side of the keyboard to get your name?!!

How's everyone else doing? - marathon - not heard from you in a wee while or emma.... Hope the hols in covert location are going well yellow - are you getting movements yet? How is your sparkle these days sparkly?

Harassed and worm - how were the first days back at school - hope not too stressy!

I had my anti-D injection this morning in the buttock and was asked which buttock I would prefer which threw me a bit! It ended up with the left as I"m right handed - it made sense to the nurse Hmm Confused....!

Star82 · 06/09/2011 11:03

Hi jkklpu, congratulations :). Unsure re work as i can see both sides to why you are unsure what to do. I suppose you know your boss, your job and the nature of how how you are may effect work so i'm sure you'll do whatever you feel is the best course of action. Good luck and i'm sure she would be completely understanding given her past experiences.

Back off hols, boo!! Fab time. Few piccies on fb for those that are on in addition to DD's first day at school. All well i think so far but we shall see come 3.30 Wink.

5 month scan tomorrow around midday. can't wait but still freaking out before every scan and really worrying. I think, i think that as soon as i relax, something bad will happen. Really hoping that everything is ok.

wombatinwaiting · 06/09/2011 14:38

Boo for back of hols star - great to see your photos -looks like you had a great time. You look very well!

Here's hoping the next 24 hours pass quickly - can't believe you've got to 5 months already - fab! Keeping everything crossed for you and banning the jinx pixies from this thread! x

jkklpu · 06/09/2011 20:42

@wombat: Thanks for the suggestion. Things were a lot better at work today and managed to complete something I'd been procrastinating over for a while, so the day felt more productive. And I made a note in my calendar of the day when I'll call up to make a gynae appointment pre-scan, which again feels as though it's a sort of progress, even though I know it's not really.
My name is something like that - ds1 once hit the keyboard randomly and part of it came out as my initials, so it kind of stuck.

@Star: Thanks for your thoughts as well. Hope there's good news at the school gate and enthusiasm for going back again tomorrow ....

wellieboots · 07/09/2011 12:18

Hi ladies!

Sorry, not much time to catch up - hope everyone is well!

We got results back this week - DH's results were OK (not perfect but probably not a big deal) and he said mine were normal although he gave me them away with me, and I think FSH of 4 is quite low?? No idea what it means, I thought high FSH was more of a problem but there you go....he's sending us to see a specialist just to check a few more things out, so that will prob be next month at some point......hopefully we'll be pg by then anyway Smile

wombatinwaiting · 08/09/2011 10:28

Hey wellie - good to hear from you and thanks for your update. Would really like to help with the FSH level but I'm a bit clueless - you could start a new thread on the conception board to get advice - the combined knowledge on mn is staggering and you'll get some really helpful advice, if you fancied it. Slightly more reliable than Dr Google too I think. I salute your enthusiasm and am adding mine to it too Smile.

How was your scan star? Hope all ok.

jkklpu - how is the mentalling going? Let us know when you decide to have your scan.

Went to my first aquazumba class this morning - hmmm.... don't think I'll be aiming for best student in that class for a while! It was fun though - plenty of hip waggling etc. Fortunately there is another pg lady in the class too and we were laughing our way through most of it as we were both useless. I think you would have hated it sparkly!

Sparklywine · 08/09/2011 13:01

I so would not have hated it, I love exercise! Grin

Actually I love the water so wouldn't find it too gruesome, but the pool would have to be quite deep, last time I went to aquarobics the pool height was level with my belly button and my huge norks nearly knocked me out. Plus it was embarrassing as some men had lined up along the pool, pretending to cool down from their sauna but clearly with the express intention of ogling rows of tits.
Have a cold at the moment so feeling sorry for myself, the only thing that seems to have eased the symptoms is an entire family-sized bar of mint aero, I think it's the herbal properties of the mint Grin
Wellie, results seem quite positive for you, it's just a matter of time hopefully. Welcome jkklpu, congratulations on your pregnancy. Read your profile, and your slightly cagey divulgence of occupation, do you know our Yellow by any chance? You may know her as Y Grin

yellowtomato · 08/09/2011 13:31

Hello ladies

I am back!! So well done to all those who correctly guessed, I was in China. We had great fun, it's jolly hot over there though, about 35 degrees and very humid. Been suffering a bit with jet lag and tiredness but feeling better today.

wellie I think fsh being low is good.......I think the lower the better because the higher it is the less fertility is left because it is the amount of hormone needed to get you to ovulate. If you only need a bit you are young and fertile, if you need a lot then your body has to work really hard to crank out an egg. Well that is my understanding but as wombat says there are some very knowledgeable ladies on mn in conception and assisted conception who are very helpful.

sparkly good work on the mint aero......but you made me want some now. Sorry about the cold but have you been feeling generally a bit better and less grey?

star how did the scan go? I think we're about the same stage, I am 19+3 today but don't get my scan until I'll be 21 weeks which is a week on Monday. I am also feeling very nervous about it, feel paranoid that something might have gone wrong. I think I might have felt some gentle movements but also that may just have been wind/wishful thinking.

harassed well done to mr harassed for a good fight. I can't bear to watch fighting/boxing etc even when it's v fake in films etc nevermind real life. Much have been so stressful to watch. Does also sound like your life is v busy and full of stress.......bacon sarnies are def the way forward.

wombat how are you getting on with the new dog, when will your probation period be up? She looked very cute.......

So........some tmi coming up so anyone feeling a bit queasy look away now.....so i've got quite a stuffed up nose, particularly at night which is meant to be normal..........but I also wake up with lots and lots of phlegm.....almost choking on the stuff. Is this something to worry about or is it normal?

Ok it's safe again now, I've finished being gross......

We're off to see a couple of nurseries now.......they are the two nearest my flat so really hoping that they seem ok. Not sure really how to tell but hoping to be inspired. Have read the ofsted and online for opinions but most seem to be at least a year out of date.

We've also looked at cots.......i liked the idea of a cot that you take the side off and push up against your bed so that you can feed in the night without getting up (lazy, moi?) but now am having doubts, can you put the baby in there to sleep in the day when your not in bed too, is it safe? We are just planning on having a cot and no moses basket of anything due to lack of space.......any advice?

And whilst we were looking at buggies we were told we'd need a car seat or wouldn't be allowed to leave the hospital. But we don't have a car. So £100 on a car seat seems a bit much......thoughts?

Hmmm, didn't mean to write such an essay, well done if you've got this far!

harassedandherbug · 08/09/2011 13:46

Hello all!

Firstly my whinge Wink: I had mw last night and I'm measuring 28wks when I should be 25 wks, plus they brought me forward 6 days at 12wk scan when I know my dates were spot on. So effectively I could be measuring 4 wks too big. I have to go back in 3wks so she can see if it's a growth spurt, or if the boy is just big! If it's big, then I have to have a growth scan and GTT. Oh joy! She referred me to consultant for my spd too. I have to say the thought of pushing a big baby out of my dodgy and painful pelvis is slightly off-putting Hmm.

yellow hope you're having a good time! Sorry can't help with cots, but kiddicare.com have some good offers on carseats. I sure some are reduced to £40. I plan on paying Which £1 tonight and getting their car seat report, as that's my next buy I think. I'll share what they say! I'm not fussed about having one that fits on the buggy, so will be buying whatever suits us.

Oh and I had the snotty thing too. Try a Sterimar nasal spray. It's saline and really helps. Pharmacist tried to flog me one, but I remembered dh had a nice new one for a drug trial he was taking part in after his nasal surgery. It wasn't instant, but it did help.

jkklpu welcome! Hope the mentalling isn't too severe.

sparkly I had a thing for mint aero a few weeks ago. Can't look at it now, odd! Hope you feel better soon.

wombat your class sounded fun Grin

wellie your results sounded promising!! Fingers x'd it's just a matter of time. Hope you're bearing up, do come and moan at us xx

star any scan news??

I'm shattered! I was awake most of the night due to sore pelvis, and up for about two hours. You know when you feel you drop off just before the alarm?? That's how I was this morning. Then dh moaned about being tired..... I was very Hmm, especially as I heard the snoring!

Went out to the pub with girls from preg yoga last night. We do get some funny looks when turn up all very obviously prg! Hope the men aren't earwigging, they might get put off for life Grin.

Sparklywine · 08/09/2011 16:56

Yellow, welcome back and well done on your infiltration! Just a quickie from me, I need to leave on time to snooze. I have purchased the Cosatto Hogarth cotbed, which is initially a cot with adjustable sides. Whilst the side doesn't go down quite as low as our mattress, I've a high bed so figure it will be thereabouts, and don't think I'd want Monts to just roll out and over to my resting boob anyway Grin so it will form a buffer that is hopefully low enough for me to lazily roll over and haul him out for a feed or cuddle, as intend to push it up against the bed. Hope that makes sense - we put it up last week as a cotbed for dniece and are pleased with ease of putting upness, and overall finish so far. I'll let you know when we convert it how it seems. Got the bamboo mattress
I can't believe I have eaten an entitre huge mint aero. They just sort of melt, don't they?
