havealittlefaithbaby · 27/06/2011 21:00

Yes I actively talk to them, DH's sa indicated they don't swim straight so I hope they will aim for my voice! :)
Yes indeed, good luck bloofer!

mememummy · 27/06/2011 21:01

so CD34... rat smacked=check, pate and toast=check, half a bottle of wine=check, so not the time to get pregnant...
just bought my dress for a wedding in september to its a snug fit so deffo cant be pregnant :o

I have thrown the offending opks in the bin as i am always getting negetives and i have invested in a thermometer, im gonna have to figure out this cervical mucus thing too.

mememummy · 27/06/2011 21:02

and good luck bloofer time to relax!!!

Purplebuns · 27/06/2011 21:07

Thank you MaybeBaby, I am still maintaining no Wink

pommedechocolat · 28/06/2011 07:55

I got a strong line this am and a face full of spots (lovely pg symptom that lasted the full 9 months with dd) so told my brother who was staying with us. He was very happy. Next stop hospital and a consultant me thinks.
What do you say to the sperm have? Is it a case of just cheering them on?

havealittlefaithbaby · 28/06/2011 08:01

Swim up!!!! This way! You can do it! Find that egg!
Congratulations pomme, you're officially up the duff!!

LoveInAColdClimate · 28/06/2011 08:05

Oh, *pomme, I'm so pleased for you. Congratulations! So excited!

Funnily enough, last night (without having seen last night's thread updates) I was trying to do positive visualisation with the sperm, imagining them swimming strongly towards my lovely fertile egg Grin. Am going a touch loopy, I think.

Enjoyed the acupuncture last night - felt like I Had A Plan at least. Have been told to give up dairy though, although he relented and said I could have milk in tea when I reacted with horror and disbelief. Can still have goat's cheese, which is something, I suppose.

Good luck with thesis, Bloofer!

TigerseyeMum · 28/06/2011 08:40

Pomme, yay!

I am in that boring bit waiting for ovulation. What's a girl supposed to do in that bit, exactly? Hmm

maybebabyR · 28/06/2011 10:28

Wohoo for strong line pomme Grin

I'm in the same boat as you tiger CD9 and I don't ovulate till CD21! DH sees it as a good excuse to get in as much 'practice' as possible Grin

Glad the accupuncture went well love

pommedechocolat · 28/06/2011 11:07

Thanks all!! Got brave enough to do a cb digi as well which said pregnant 1-2 so have rung the hospital to get all my medications changed and everything. Am officially getting excited now.
I tried a bit of visualisation this time round guys... Figured if it can work on passing your driving test (and I am a truly appalling driver) then it can work on naughty little swimmers!

Jebel · 28/06/2011 11:09

Hurrah for pomme!

Managed to smack the rat once but DH has said he finds it very unsexy with my parents upstairs (can't imagine why) and refused to do more. Anyway, all it takes is one sperm, I have mostly been thinking about Monty Python today, it's a kind of meditation...
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood.

I'm 2DPO and definitely updiffed.

thelittlefriend · 28/06/2011 13:46

Please cheer me up ladies. I've just heard from docs that I've got to go for a sodding internal ultrasound scan and I'm not even pregnant. How Very Unfair. (well obviously I am pregnant but my positivity is waivering today.)

pommedechocolat · 28/06/2011 15:32

O thelittlefriend that does indeed suck. However I presume it is to some end of knowing things about your body though? One slight good angle..?
You need lots of cake and chocolate. Oh yes. But no polo shirts.

maybebabyR · 28/06/2011 15:36

Oh little sorry to hear that. But just think, it is good practice for scans in the very near future Grin

LoveInAColdClimate · 28/06/2011 15:39

Oh god, do I gather that internal ultrasounds are umpleasant, then? I have to have one of those too, I understand, when I finally get an appointment with the consultant. Sorry to hear that, littlefriend - although as pomme say, hopefully a means to an end. I'd imagined them to be certainly no worse than a smear test - are they awful? Ulp.

farfallarocks · 28/06/2011 16:16

Very sadly just returned from the hospital after an early miscarriage, beyond devastated even though it was so early :(

schobe · 28/06/2011 16:22

I'm so sorry farfallerocks that's awful for you.

I've had several mcs of all different varieties and it being early does not diminish how horrible the experience is at all.

Be really really kind to yourself.

farfallarocks · 28/06/2011 16:25

Thanks Schobe, you have just made me cry (again)

But this is meant to be a positive thread so I better well get up the duff again asap!!!!

LoveInAColdClimate · 28/06/2011 16:34

Oh, farfall, I am so, so sorry.

schobe · 28/06/2011 17:05

Yes, you're on the right thread. When you're ready, you can put your foot firmly down again and Brook No Argument.

In the meantime: chocolates, ice cream, wine, a bit more wine, sofa, TV, bed, letting others do chores. We insist you do all the above and will Brook No Argument either.

mememummy · 28/06/2011 17:22

Oh far sending hugs and kisses to u xx

U will be upduffed soon and well done for for being strong and positive xx

Feeling sick, covered in spots and peeing for England cd34 Af best hurry up or else Angry

pommedechocolat · 28/06/2011 17:28

Farfalla I'm so sorry to hear that. Schobe's plan sounds like the best bet. Lots of hugs and thinking of you wishes.

Love - I had an internal ultrasound about 5 years ago in Italy. It was uncomfortable and a bit, you know, 'exposing', but it wasn't painful. I would say smear tests are quicker and less 'exposing' (can't think of a better word). It's okay. Wouldn't want to do one every day but it's okay.

eurochick · 28/06/2011 17:54

farfalla, I'm sorry to hear that.

Re: internal ultrasounds (aka "dildocam"), they are fine. I've had a few. I prefer them to external ones because you don't need a full bladder (and given that the NHS always kept me waiting beyond my time I found that quite a struggle). They have the dildo/probe thingy, cover it in a condom and lube and then insert it. If you wear a skirt (one you are not too fussy in a drip of lube ends up on) some hospitals will let you leave that on and just hitch it up a bit. So you don't really see anything and apart from them taking a quick peek to make sure they are getting it in the right hole Confused they don't really look either. You are MUCH less exposed than for a smear when they are peering right up there. And once it's in, they just move it around a bit to try to get an image of whatever they need to see. There might be a bit of discomfort as they try to get sight of an ovary or whatever but I have never found them painful at all. Try not to worry.

pommedechocolat · 28/06/2011 18:00

Oh I was up in stirrups with my carefully planned skirt around my waist! As I say though - Italy. UK one sounds much better love and thelittlefriend so ignore me please!

maybebabyR · 28/06/2011 18:48

farfall I am so so sorry for your loss. Please look after yourself and give yourself time to feel sad. I know that sounds silly, but I found it helped me to allow myself to feel sad.

And I totally agree with the wine/tv/chocolate plan. After all, after this month, you will most definitely be pregnant x
