Ooh gone back up again slightly this morning: www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

Now please feel free to slap me silly ladies, but I had persistant sharp pain on my lower left. If I wasnt 13DPO I would have thought it was ov. It's eased off now. Waddyathink? Grin

I Must add that I have no symptoms what-so-ever from the usual sore nips and intollerance of everything in the world, that generally comes with PMT!

Squirrel77 · 19/10/2011 07:31

Looks promising! (and snap - mine went up too...) IfAtFirst - sounds like ovulation pain to me....so hmmmm maybe it's implantation? Hope so!

Back down a smidge again - I think I'm getting far too carried away! :( www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

Squirrel your link isnt working for some reason!

AuntieDoris · 20/10/2011 08:09

What's going on?.... wail

I have had 14 days of Highs on my fertility monitor which just seem odd to me. Nothing looks right or normal anymore!

Squirrel77 · 20/10/2011 08:21

Everyone's charts are looking odd!

According to my very unscientific EWCM observation, today I'm 14 DPO (according to FF, I'm 8 DPO)...who knows? Get the feeling dear old AF will be popping in for a visit later today...

Today my thermometer made a strangling beeping noise and died. Now I have to figure out how to replace it - not one of my strong points.

Link should work now.

Stasi · 20/10/2011 12:18

Hi,

Can I join you?

I posted a big introductory message in another thread, but I think I went into a bit much detail. I've had an interesting few years including cancer and chemo, and have been ttc no.1 since Sept 2010. Currently on cycle 15, and no joy.

I only joined Fertility Friend a few days ago, but have transferred my details from my phone app into it for the last couple of months. [http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/383fc0] [Link is here]].

I think next cycle I'm going to buy a fertility thermometer, rather than the standard temp one.

Stasi · 20/10/2011 13:26

I rushed the last bit of that post as I was off to lunch.. and made a mistake. I think this will work for the link.. here.

Does anyone else get CM all through their cycle? I don't get any 'dry days' which some of the fertility methods look for to signal the end of the fertile period. Could this be a hormone problem? The oestrogen causes the CM right? and that's meant to stop after the LH surge when the egg is released. If it never goes away, maybe that's what is causing my failure to conceive?

I've got a doctors appointment on Monday, and am hoping to get some tests and things done. What would you expect the doctor to ask for, or what should I ask for? I also have an appointment with the fertility clinic in January, so would like to have as many test results as I can in preparation for that.

Squirrel77 · 20/10/2011 14:31

Welcome! Not sure about the CM all through the cycle, buy I actually try to get it from up by the cervix itself once per day as it is not always otherwise obviously present Blush although not everyone would be keen to go digging around in there!

DH and I have had some tests done, he had to give a sperm sample and I had a LH/FSH blood test (no idea what that was, sorry). Also I am having an ultrasound soon. But this is because I have endometriosis so they are checking whether this looks like it will interfere with TTC. We got told to try for a year and they would refer for IVF at that point, given my history. But it seems everyone gets different advice depending on their situation (and postcode...)

Stasi · 20/10/2011 15:35

Thanks Squirrel

I had an 'internal ultrasound' in Dec 2010. As I had major abdominal surgery in 2009 the doctor warned there could be scarring and all sorts of issues which I hadn't even considered! Everything seemed to be ok, and the doc said I had ovulated that month. He offered me more tests, but as it was only 3 months after I had stopped taking the pill, I turned him down.

I wish I hadn't now, but I couldn't have known then that I'd be here a year down the line still ttc. I've arranged another appointment with the same doctor, in Jan, but just want to have as many tests out of the way before then as I can. I know there some kind of day 2 and day 21 tests? to check hormone levels maybe - if I can 'order' them myself, it should mean I won't have to wait another month after Jan to get those done.

I was wondering as well if it's possible to get a sperm count test done at the doctors, I'm hoping it is, poor OH is worrying that he's not 'doing his duty', despite all the hard work SWI on demand :)

How is it, that even when you feel like you've given up hope, and you know you're not pg this month... you still have something inside you that hopes just as much as ever?

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 20/10/2011 20:15

Back to CD1 :(

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 21/10/2011 06:19

Oh if :(

Squirrel77 · 21/10/2011 09:45

Sorry to hear that. Got a BFN this morning, grrrr. Wish AF would visit so the SWI can being again in earnest! Oh well, at least I can have a few wines this weekend...

Stasi · 21/10/2011 17:05

Sorry for AF visiting If, and Squirrel I won't go so far to wish your AF on you, but I hope everything settles down one way or the other.

Seem to have some spotting today, which I've never had before pre-AF. Temps were high this morning, but I've had some cramping.. Probably AF tomorrow I would guess.

Because this spotting is out of the norm for me, I'm almost tempted to buy a test on the way home. FF says AF should have been yesterday, my phone says it should be Sunday.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 21/10/2011 19:08

Sorry about the short selfish post yesterday, was feeling a bit sorry for myself. Today is a new day and I have wine, so all is well Grin

Welcome Stasi :) It's great to have this thread buzzing again.

Squirrel If FF is right, you may be testing too early Fingers X'd

Stasi · 23/10/2011 09:20

Back to CD1 for me again, and on to cycle 16.

If you didn't sound selfish to me, just had some information to share, and didn't feel like chatting. You can't be selfish while sharing :)

Going to try and keep my mind off things today, got to tidy up and do the washing, then have friends over later for dinner. Not to mention finishing up all the wedding plans. Next ov should be on honeymoon, so I've got lots to look forward to.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 23/10/2011 12:01

Oooh, you getting married Stasi - how exciting! When's the BIG day?
Wouldnt it be great if you conceived on honeymoon!

Stasi · 23/10/2011 12:38

Getting married on 5th November, I picked the date as I liked the idea of fireworks every year on our anniversary (in the bedroom and out!). Looking forward to next year; little baby tucked up in bed, a glass of champagne and box of chocolates, and DH and I watching the fireworks over Edinburgh castle from our bedroom window... Fingers crossed!

So now I have a different sort of 2ww ahead of me, I'm sure these two weeks will go much, much too quickly! We're trying to keep the costs down, so I'm doing quite a lot of things myself; the table decorations and favours are my easy tasks for this week. I've almost got the decorations done I think, and favours will be home made (well, home melted) chocolates shaped into butterflies and hearts. Also got a good recipe for peppermint and orange creams, so going to run through that again to see if I can perfect them. Last batch tasted great, but were a bit sticky unless fresh from the fridge. More difficult tasks, for me at least, is shoe shopping, hair and make-up deciding. Luckily my soon to be sister-in-law has offered to do the hair and make-up for me, so Tuesday night we'll be playing at that.

Just wish I didn't have stomach cramps and a headache today, AF sucks!

Squirrel77 · 24/10/2011 07:53

Wow! Exciting! Good luck with the last minute tasks before the big day!

Aunty Flo' came a-knocking on my door this morning. Actually quite happy as it means my body is getting back to normal after the Mirena was removed 3 1/2 weeks ago. I told DH to get ready for a shagathon beginning in about 12 days - he looked sightly alarmed.

Poppyjen · 24/10/2011 08:23

Hi ladies may I (re) join? I was here a few months ago - got some fabulous support from some lovely ladies and then a BFP - unfortunately this ended in a miscarriage at the beginning of June and since then one chemical pg so we're still trying! I am on cycle 6 now since we started ttc number 2 but it has been 8 months as I have crazy long cycles (46 days last time) and PCOS which doesn't help matters Smile

Anyway, I have been using Fertility Friend for 5 cycles now and despite the endless wait for ovulation things have been generally pretty easy to interpret. This cycle however things have gone a little weird - would you ladies please take a look and tell me what you think?

My chart is here

The only thing I can think of is that I have had a cold for the past few days, but this has happened before without such huge changes in temp.... Confused

Has anyone else had experience of this?

Thanks everyone Smile

Stasi · 24/10/2011 11:46

Hi Poppy, it's been a bit quiet on here since you joined, but I'm sure once people are back around we'd all be very glad to have you join us. Sorry to hear about your problems conceiving, I hope everything goes well for you from here onwards.

Sorry I can't really help with your chart, though I've been charting myself for a while I've never experienced anything like the last few days, so can't bring any wisdom. If you are also checking your CM every day it might help to just use that for reference this month until your temp variations settle down.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 24/10/2011 19:04

Oh Stasi that sound lovely, good luck with it all. :)

Squirrel I'm glad you're back to normal and you can begin to start chrting properly.

Poppy Sorry to ee you back here, what a rubbish time you've had. Let's hope it's just a flying visit.

I'm on CD5 and AF is playing games with me. I had absolutley no bleeding all day and all night yesterday, but she got me again this afternoon - WTF! Angry I'm also having strange cramps, not like AF pains Confused

One of my best friends told me she was expecting again today :( Her DD is only 6 months old and she's already 12 weeks! Shock

AuntieDoris · 25/10/2011 07:50

Does anything think I probably ovulated on Day 16? Chart here.

Squirrel77 · 25/10/2011 08:20

Doris,

By no means do I know much but it's a low temp followed by a sharp rise along with EWCM so you would think so! But maybe your trip unsettled the temperatures a bit?

By the way, would love to know about the grapefruit juice - what does that do?

Poppyjen · 25/10/2011 08:30

Hi AuntieD I would hazard a guess that you probably did - but am I reading it correctly that your fertility monitor read "high" after CD16? I don't really know anything about how they work but if they read high until ovulation and then low (which seems logical..) then perhaps your trip has made your temps a bit all over the place and you O'ed a bit later?

Sorry that wasn't very helpful was it!

It must be so hard travelling long haul and charting! I don't envy you Smile

AuntieDoris · 25/10/2011 08:44

I have had two really weird cycles and the monitor seemed to have gone crazy this month (in my unreasonable head I have been trying to convince myself that I am actually pregnant which is why it is testing high all the time!)

Grapefruit juice is meant to increase EWCM - it does seem to a bit for me, but I get so little EWCM that any increase is quite noticeable.

I am pretty sure AF is on the way and I have a headache and I am feeling really, really pissed off. Why does it feel that everyone else gets pregnant but we can't?
