I'm lurking but not charting. No charting makes the month seem longer Hmm
Cd25, af expected any day. Not tempted to poas because I have a job interview Tuesday for a year contract and on the off chance I am, want to be able to say "I didn't know I was upduffed when I was interviewed"
jaggy glad you are doing ok, hope you feel perkier soon.

AuntieDoris · 29/09/2011 22:38

Yes I am sure - it's started. Despite having the weirdest cycle every I am still gutted.

Squirrel77 · 14/10/2011 06:57

Hi Charters!

Thought I'd poke my head in and say hi. Just stated charting after having Mirena IUD taken out. Temps are looking a bit weird - grateful for advice about whether it looks 'normal'! could the dip on 5DPO be an implantation dip, or am I dreaming? Cheers!

just making it into a wee clickable link :)

It's been a bit quiet on here, hopefuly this will bump you to others attention too. :)

jaggythistle · 14/10/2011 16:42

it's always hard to tell when you start temping halfway through a cycle so I am a bit stumped TBH!

I think I'm going to be annoying and say we'll just have to see what happens when you have a few more temps up.

Good luck :)

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 14/10/2011 20:11

Welcome Squirrel and hi jaggy how you getting on. It's so lovely to see some newbies on here

Squirrel - I would agree with Jaggy in that it's difficult to tell whats going on with it being your first cycle - are you sure about when you ov'd.

I'm sticking my chart on just for old times sake www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

Hope everyone is well :)

jaggythistle · 14/10/2011 20:33

Good thanks If had first scan today and all looking good so far :) One wriggly baby.

We need to start advertising for this thread, it was quite busy for a while there!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 14/10/2011 21:09

Aww, that's lovely to hear jaggy [hsmile] Time flies so quickly when it's someone elses pregnancy, but I bet it's dragged for you.

I was thinking of doing a kind of roll-up roll-up announcement on the main board to try & drum up some new business. The charters thread is now old skool and we can't let it die!

jaggythistle · 14/10/2011 21:27

Yup, it's felt like ages! Looking forward to being able to tell people at work next week. I am actually working all weekend, but not with any of my closer workmates so i'd rather tell them first. Or maybe just put it on Facebook on Sunday once my Mum has finished her family phone round and watch their faces go Shock!

Roll up, roll up and be a charting geek, it's great fun honest!!

AuntieDoris · 15/10/2011 01:09

I am fed up with charting at the moment. My last cycle, and the current one have been completely all over the place and I have absolutely no idea what is going on anymore!

Here you go!

nearlymumofone · 15/10/2011 07:09

"Roll up, roll up and be a charting geek it's great fun honest!!"

Grin you may have got a new one to join you...

I'm considering. ttc#2, cycle 2 and did a bit of halfhearted poaos and nowt, bit of CM delving and nowt and bit concerned nothing's going on at all. Bought a CBFM yesterday, so awaiting AF so can begin on cycle 3. Is this similar/conducive to charting?

Am a bit scared though if I start down the CBFM/charting route I'll become completely obsessed/stressed.

Any advice?

Scrummybumb · 15/10/2011 08:35

Hi jaggy really nice to hear everything is going to plan. Let's hope the remaining months carry on in the same direction

auntied maybe the travelling has caused a delay this month? Your last cycle looks ok even if there is no clear temp shift.

Hi if hope you're doing ok.

Welcome nearly just try and relax and think of it as an assurance plan, but don't let it control your thoughts and plans.

I had my first month where I missed my LH surge for some reason. Plenty CM and today had high temp, but as I now tend to only temp after a pos OPK, I've no idea when the shift happened, but guessing by my CM I would guess Thu or Fri. Not that it matters this cycle as we had to give it a miss as we had our first visit to the new fertility clinic and DH had to save up for his SA.

Squirrel77 · 15/10/2011 09:24

Morning all,

Thanks for the advice!

FF is so confusing! Just put in today's temp etc and it says I ovulated three days ago. Weird as there was lots of EWCM business going on a week before that! Grin Now wish we had SWI three days ago...

I have heard that FF can't be trusted for pinpointing ovulation date and that it should be just one thing to bear in mind when checking all signs/symptoms...but as you say it's early days, and most likely my body is still trying to sort itself out post Mirena.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/10/2011 09:32

Hi all! Nice to see the thread back up and running.AuntieD that is an intriguing chart. Nice work on the swi! I agree it could well be travel, has that meant you had varied times of temping too?
Squirrel, welcome! FF will drive you crazy moving your ov.date around! Best thing is not to rely on it whole heartedly but try to swi every couple of days easier said than done
jaggy, delighted to hear you have a wriggly bean :) glad things are going well.
I'm still inputting data into FF but not temping. Kind of miss it, not seeing a temp spike means my cycle seems longer...may well start again when DH's hormone levels are improved. We'll see.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 15/10/2011 09:38

My uncharted data is here

jaggythistle · 15/10/2011 10:08

Squirrel, I eventually went for SWI every 2 days or so too, rather than trying to time it perfectly, I knew a few others had success with this.

I don't have the stamina for an every day shagathon like some people! Blush I started when AF was finished and kept going till FF thought I had ovulated.

It is hard to not get obsessed. I had a couple of months where I didn't temp or stopped temping after ov, not sure if it helped or not!

most of my charts were quite boring and neat if newbies want a nosey :)

Good luck everybody, it's nearly all babies on the graduates thread so we need some new graduates!

PopcornMouse · 16/10/2011 10:14

Hi!

I am charting too, this will be my second cycle temping (7th ttc... possibly 8th actually, I lose track.... [hblush] ) www.fertilityfriend.com/home/chartywarty

I'm 7DPO and I was desperately hoping for an implantation dip today but nothing!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 16/10/2011 16:54

Popcorn - don't get too hung up on an implantation dip - this is my chart from when I got pg last October - www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 16/10/2011 16:55

Poo! That didnt work - but it was meant to show a very static post ov chart, with no implantation dip, but still a BFP at the end

Squirrel77 · 17/10/2011 09:02

Hi folks,

Just wondering, do you think its worth getting a VIP Fertility Friend membership? FF is imploring me to purchase now "Time Limited Special Discount!" but not sure whether the free version is fine just as is.

Have a great week!

AuntieDoris · 17/10/2011 09:13

Well after being awake for 42 hours I slept like a baby last night! So much in fact that I forgot to POAS for the CBFM this morning and I also forgot to take my temperature.

Oh well!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 17/10/2011 20:01

Squirrell I havent used the VIP membership for months now and I'm perfectly happy with it. So long as I can plot my temps and it tells me when I ov'd, it's doing a good enough job for me.

The only real difference is the fact that all of your specific data are displayed on the main chart and the damn pregnancy monitor, which in my opinion only makes you obsess even more in the 2ww.
There was one month I was happily plodding along, and realised that I had been pretty much pigging out for the last 2 weeks so entered this info in to FF. My early pregnacy signs points shot right up! Because of this I was so convinced at 14DPO that I was pg (eventhough I had NO symtoms) that I phoned DH on a stag do asking if I could do a test. AF arrived that evening and I was devastated! :(

My temps suddenly took an unexpected plunge this morning, if it stays low tomorrow then I'll probably be out this month (AGAIN) www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

Squirrel77 · 18/10/2011 07:27

If only pigging out was a sign of pregnancy - I'd have had hundreds of children by now! Thanks for the advice. My temp dipped suspiciously this morning as well and I've been craving sweet things - a good sign that AF is due for a visit. I think I'll stick with regular FF, was just slightly worried that it might delete my data in punishment for not coughing up some cash! Good luck all....

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 18/10/2011 08:39

I only used the basic unless they give me free trial of VIP! I agree the pregnancy monitor only serves to make you go crazy.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 18/10/2011 08:40

Don't worry squirrel it keeps your data. It'll just keep trying to persuade you to fork out the cash.
