Hello everyone, may I join?

I'm 30, ttc #5. DD4 is 7mo and I'm still bf and no AF yet; that said, last Wed I had some ewcm, which is a first as have hardly any cm since giving birth. I found an ov stick and it came up sort of unsure; the control line was dark and thick, whereas the test line was dark on one half and faint on the other iyswim?. Anyway, my temp has gone up so think I may be on 2ww. Not really sure. Anyway, that's me. Hello everyone!

Scrummybumb · 08/09/2011 21:53

Really glad to hear you had improved results. We're trying the Marilyn Glenville's vitamins. They are expensive and it means I need to take two a day and DH needs to take three. You get them a bit cheaper from amazon. We have our next SA scheduled for mid-oct when we have our first appt with the private clinic. I'll let you know if they've made any difference.

I know about stress. I'm feeling it right now, for all sorts of reasons. I had terrible PMS this month and I'm sure thats as a result of the stress. so fully understand not temping. It does add to your day, doesnt it.

Crap about your work. I hope they get it sorted soon.

Scrummybumb · 08/09/2011 22:02

Hi welliesnotheels like your name Smile. Feel free to add your chart, if you're happy to share. We will gladly try and interpret if you're ever in doubt. I fear this thread has gone a bit quiet recently, but hopefully some new 'faces' fire up some new life to us oldies here!

jaggythistle · 09/09/2011 07:06

Just kinda queasy Scrummy, although I did think I was going to be sick this morning, 6am shifts not agreeing with me this week!

I am v v sleepy though and hungry as anything. I have had 2 breakfasts every day this week Blush, one at 5 am and one later on in the work canteen.

Scrummybumb · 09/09/2011 07:38

jaggy glad to hear it's all going good. Two brekkies. I sometimes feel like having a second one, even if I'm not pregnant Grin

havealittlefaithbaby · 09/09/2011 19:04

jaggy I'm really happy for you :)

digitalgirl · 09/09/2011 21:02

hi ladies, glad to hear its all going well jaggy

hello wellies ttc#5 while your youngest is 7mo! wow, just wow! thats very impressive!

thought i'd pop in to let you know i had a good scan this week. measured 8+3 on weds, so it seems ff got my ov-date right this time, i thought i'd be 8+2, so it was nice to gain a day. this is also the furthest i've got in a pg since ds. i have a few more scans lined up over the next few weeks till i get to 12 weeks, so hopefully the extra tlc (and cocktail of drugs i'm on) will do the trick.

havealittle good news on the sa improvement - and hope sod's law kicks in with the 'awful timing to get pg' job situation.

auntyd so sorry you've hit the 12 month mark Sad. i hope you get there soon, long term ttc can be so soul destroying.

jaggythistle · 09/09/2011 22:20

great news digi, fingers crossed the drugs and tlc are doing the trick.

I'm quite impatient for a scan date, it seemed more real once I'd seen the wee wriggler on the screen last time. midwife appointment was only last week though and she said appointment will come through within a month!

hi wellies :)

worst possible timing worked for me have, apparently no one noticed i was completely sober at the big work do. Grin just the Wedding Abroad to attend next month now...

AuntieDoris · 09/09/2011 23:08

I know 12 months isn't that long but it feels like a bloody long time - especially as it feels like everyone I know gets pregnant the minute their knickers hit their ankles.

My DH and I have an appointment with my GP on Monday. We have just moved to Guernsey so we are going to request a referral to the specialist group. The downside is that over here we have to pay for GP appointments and I am not sure whether we have to pay to see the specialists. Could be expensive!

Scrummybumb · 10/09/2011 11:49

auntied good luck with your appointment on Monday.
digital nice to her from you and really great news about the scan.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 11/09/2011 13:36

Great news Digi & Jaggy

Good luck for tomorrow *AuntieD I've been back to see my GP who agrees that we should have some further tests, so I'm trying to make an appointment to see the fertility specialist.

I'm now on the 2ww as temp went up this morning, but we didnt get as much SWI in as I'd hoped!

welliesnotheels · 11/09/2011 21:10

Good evening ladies. May I pick your brains? Qick recap; no af yet since birth of DD, but possible pos opk plus ewcm 11 days ago. My usual pre-ov temps are almost always 36.21. After the pos opk they went up to 36.61 consistently. I THINK I've ov'd, but not too sure as post-ov temps in previous cycles have been around 36.7-80. Would you test 14 dpo if temps remain high? Or am I kidding myself?

welliesnotheels · 11/09/2011 21:11

Anyway, I've just cracked and bought 5 tests online for a very agreeable £2.60 plus free shipping.

havealittlefaithbaby · 12/09/2011 06:40

Don't get too Hung up on previous temps to compare, more the pattern/consistency of the temps for each cycle. Technically you should wait for 18 high temps in a row but that isn't easy. I usually crack around 14/15. How long is your luteal phase?

LIG1979 · 13/09/2011 10:03

Hello,
Can any of you help me? I have been charting since about June although only done it using fertility friend for a month or so.

I have PCOS and so have very long cycles but for the last two cycles, I had the following pattern:

  • Pre-O 36.25-36.40 as long as I don't drink and take my temperature between 6am and 8am.
  • EWCM and positive OPK just before ovulation.
  • Post-O rising initially to about 36.6 and then settling around 36.8 before dropping a bit about a day before AF and dropping fully the 1st day of AF.

This month, my body temperature never really dropped too much after AF and now is looking more like a mountain. It seems to be going between 36.2 and 36.6 with no really pattern. Also, I got EWCM and an almost positive OPK around day 14 but no temperature rise.

I did have a chemical pregnancy last month but AF started at 15dpo so it was a very early mc. I did use soy isoflavones (CD3-7) and I have been taking maca daily but not sure why they would cause such erratic temperatures. Could these have had an impact?

If anyone can help me that would be great. Thanks. x

AuntieDoris · 22/09/2011 21:15

Is this thread still active? If so, it has been a bit quiet lately!

I am Ok although finding it all a bit tricky still. I am having the most bizarre cycle - FF just can't work out if I have ovulated or not.

I have received a letter from the specialists and they have told me that the wait for an initial appointment is at least 4-5 months which seems like such a long wait. I am really gutted :(

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 23/09/2011 19:09

Hi Auntie - I really don't want this thread to die, I have some fond memories of Charters past & present!

Have you tried hiding the temp on CD18, as apart from that, all temps after the shift on CD14 seem high. I see on CD18 it was a white dot,did you take your temp a lot earlier/later on that day?

I can't believe you are having to wait that long to see a speciaist! I'm waiting to see my GP's "colleage" who is the specialst apparently Hmm So our initial apointment with him isnt until the 11th of Oct, as he's on holiday until then - how very dare him!

I'm waiting for AF to arrive, CD28 and a temp drop this morning coupled with the tell-tale pre-AF twinges :( www.fertilityfriend.com/home/IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

Keep coming back Auntie and all other fellow charters, lets keep this thread going!

jaggythistle · 23/09/2011 19:45

I'm still lurking now and then as i like to keep up too. :)

that does seem a long waitAuntie, hope it passes quickly or there's some sort of cancellation that bumps you up the list. or you get the 'bfp just as you get an appointment' Grin

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 23/09/2011 20:18

Hey Jaggy how are you getting on?:)

jaggythistle · 23/09/2011 21:03

no bad thanks. :)

sorry you have AF signs :(

I'm just really stupidly tired. i keep waking up at about 4 for a wee and then it feels like i don't get back to sleep before DS gets up at 7! going to get up for some warm milk tonight if the same happens. I'm only at 8 weeks, feels like time is going v slowly and still no scan appointment, got to chase it up next week. have also had evening sickness a couple of times this week which was not so fun.

finding it hard not to tell people why i am just slumped in the corner looking pathetic! had friends (and toddlers) round for DS's birthday, including one who is expecting baby 2 in less than 2 months, was hard not to slip up.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 23/09/2011 23:24

I'm still lurking waiting for other people to graduate!

Glad to hear things are sill on track jaggy I found once I'd had my first scan, time sped up but up till then it went backwards!
I'm 32 weeks (can you believe?!!) And on track for a HB with a lovely IMW that we can't afford but can't NOT afford! I'm really enjoying this pregnancy, though he's very active at night and seems to sleep during the day....

Good luck to all others. Hope the bfps come soon.

AuntieDoris · 26/09/2011 08:52

I have officially decided my chart is bonkers this month. I am not even sure I can worry about it anymore!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 26/09/2011 19:26

Hmm, it is a bit all over the shop int it Auntie. Although I'm sure ov happened on CD14 as there was a definate shift and your temps after then are higher than they were before.

AuntieDoris · 29/09/2011 13:58

Bollocks. Think AF is about to visit :(

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 29/09/2011 22:04

Oh Auntie are you sure? :(
