Evening all!

Liking the new bus. Can't join in with the exercise talk unfortunately what with being a lazy arse!

I second the fact that any sport/activity you're used to doing is fine to continue in the early stages of pregnancy - an obs consultant said it so it must be true...

Think I may weaken and test before the weekend (shhhhh don't tell spidookly Grin)

hi all!! nice to see bfp's already-congrats!! can i join?? ttc #2 cycle 14 :( af due approx 12 april... have resorted to bargaining with DP's xbox time allowance to swi most nights,lol... i cant bear the thought of after ttc all this time,having a 2012 due date!! this has to be our month ladies,fx for us all for our xmas bundles....

Hi there, new to Mumsnet...

It's fab that there is so many of you getting Positive results for a christmas baby thats wonderful news!

TTC# 1 myself and my BF have been trying since January but have been caught out again as i am CD 2 today! :(

Longish cycles, takes my next due date to January but their is no "bus" yet! plus, i want to get to know the in's and out's of Mumsnet before climbing aboard a new thread!

cookie 7 cycles isn't that long. Do you mind me asking how old you are. Your GP is unlikely to start investigations until you've been ttc for over 12 months unless you're 35+ unless you lie

Morning all! ok,so iv been reading other threads last night as iv been offline for a while due to broken laptop :-s, and now im really confused !!im using clear blue digi opk's,and while i find them fab compared to others,i have now read that you dont necessarily get just 1 LH surge per month,and if you have irregular cycles,you cant trust the results anyway bcos your hormones arnt correctly balanced ? my cycles vary from 25 to 30 days,but are usually 27 with the odd shorter/longer one... is this classed as irregular ?and thus can i trust opk's ??? sorry for me-post; can anyone offer any wisdom ? im planning the sperm meets egg method,but have swi every other night since cd5,now on cd9 and waiting for +ve opk result probably on day 11/12... im
now thinking from what ive read,shal i keep testing even after that,which means buying a new box grrrr ...... is it too
late to get a thermometer and take temps this mth?? although i havnt a clue what im doing with that,or what to look for !

Dolly, I would start tempting . You can get an LH surge and still not ovulate . If you temp , a temp rise can tell you that you ovulated. Some women also get a temp dip on the day if ovulation , which I often get . I temp and use the clear blue fertility monitor , and combine both on fertility friend charting , which gives you an overall view .

I tested yesterday and nothing . I tested this morning , and have a faint line . I'm only 10 days post ov . Im getting excited , but know if is still way to early to test !

Dolly I really know nothing about recording ovulation. Just been SWI when possible. Might start recored temp next cycle though.

dolly I think when they're talking about irregular cycles they mean particularly irregular ones, eg with PCOS? PCOS does affect the results of an Ov stick, you can get false positives due to elevated FSH, so not recommended for people with it. 25-30 doesn't seem too irregular to me, especially if you average around 27. I have 30-35 days, and have ov'd each month I've temped, and the ov sticks work for me and reflect temp results, IYSWIM. I've only ever used cheapys. HTH a little bit!

I'm getting all emotional, like I always do a week before period. I am meant to meet a friend today, I hate to be mean I really like her, she has just had a new baby and I want to be supportive but she continually bitches about her husband and talks about herself. Sometime being with someone like that helps you forget about your own problems, but sometime I feel like she would not support me if i had a problem or wanted to discuss something.

Sorry for the rant...emotional see!
