Morning ladies, I'm the same with waiting LB I'm due the 4th and I started feeling a bit bloated last night.

Hope your SIL is alright mickey sadly there are lots of chromosomal disorders some with more severe consequences than others. Your SIL is lucky to have such a supportive family.

xstitch · 28/03/2011 09:17

Oops sorry congrats rew

MickyLee · 28/03/2011 09:22

rew so excited for you. Good luck having to wait until 7pm :)

LB Yes she had the test and was waiting for the results a few weeks ago so that is what must have turned up.

Poppyjen · 28/03/2011 09:28

Congratulations rew that's lovely news to start the week Grin - your AF due the same day as I think mine is...still BFN for me here so we'll have to see what the next few days bring. Really will be Confused if no BFP and still no AF by the end of this week. I am currently CD 40 Sad so clinging on to hope that I just ovulated really late...

Otherwise its back to the doctors for me to fight for them to refer me to gynae, its so silly I know I have PCOS, they know I have PCOS (diagnosed by scan and blood test) and yet they still seem to be willing to ignore the fact that my cycles are messed up for 6 months Shock before I am even allowed a referral to a specialist. Sorry to moan...just feeling totally fed up of this horrible limbo I am in. Makes it worse when I conceived DS so quickly and just assumed that it would happen again this time.

Anyway didn't mean to put a downer on the morning, well done again rew Grin

Poppyjen · 28/03/2011 09:29

Sorry just realised, CD 48 not 40...... Sad Shock

spidookly · 28/03/2011 09:51

Congratulations rew1 - I have finally come good on my promise to add you to the stats :)

Any word from Thinking this morning? Hope you're OK sweetheart, whatever's going on. :)

CD6 here, just the dregs of AF. Had a lovely weekend. Really busy at work today, so shouldn't really be here.

Congratulations rew, great start to the week!

My tests should arrive today so I can start testing from tomorrow

Tanif · 28/03/2011 09:58

Thinking that sucks. Hopefully, they'll have you in for a quick op and then it will be back onto the baby making bus for you within a matter of weeks :) chin up petal, at least they're referring you straight for treatment.

Have any of those on the bus who have already had kids ever suffered from severely itchy nipples in early pregnancy? I feel like I could scratch them off but they're so sensitive it hurts when I try and relieve the itching. I didn't have this when I was previously pregnant but I was on the pill which may have masked it somewhat.

LB1982 · 28/03/2011 10:04

I don't even have slightly sore/itchy boobs - seven and Tanif you are due the same date as me :(

ThePippy · 28/03/2011 10:21

Morning all!

So sorry to hear your news Thinking - don't you just hate the way people feel it's perfectly fine to comment on whether they think you should have children yet or not! So insensitive!

Congrats Rew - pleased to read about the BFP - just catching up and saw there were no BFP's over the weekend so great to start the week with one.

So, I have been POAS obsessively since DPO5 (yes madness) and obviously getting BFN's. I wasn't expecting anything else this month anyway given we only SWI once and that was 4 days before OV (based on OPK and Temping), so the POAS was frankly silly and only because I got 20 internet cheapys with the BBT thermometer I bought. Anyway I POAS last night just before DD bath, but DD and DH interrupted me by coming upstairs early, so I stuffed the wee'ed on test in a drawer and came out of the bathroom to do DD bath. Then I completely forgot about it until later in the evening when I went to the loo and remembered. I got it out the drawer fully expecting to see whiter than white BFN, but nearly fell over as there was a line - pink and faint, but as thick as the control line! This was an Internet cheapy and I was looking at it well after the recommended 10 mins so while I was excited (hands were shaking) I wasn't sure! Did another IC this morning and again a faint line, so after dropping DD at nursery I dug out a slightly more expensive Sainsburys test I had from a previous month and there was a definite line with that too. So I (tentatively) think we have another BFP on the bus ladies, and you are the first to know!

I bought a twin pack of CB Digi's on the way back from nursery (I need to see the word Pregnant to fully believe it) but not sure if it will show up yet or best to wait a day or two?

EDD 8th Dec if it sticks and goes well. Little bit in shock if I'm honest, I was all prepared to skip TTC for a month (to avoid a potential Xmas/New Years baby) as I genuinely thought there was no hope this month as we SWI far too early. Just shows how wrong you can be!

Good luck to everyone else with the BFP's and sorry for the huuuuge post!

Congrats pippy :D

Feeling a lot more positive about the ttc. Spoke to a doctor on the NHS helpline who said, as the changes are mild, it's okay to continue ttc as it's unlikely to alter massively over the next few months. As he said, may not be knocked up by september in which case treatment would be given as a priority to let us continue ttc. And his advice was, if I do fall pregnant between now and september, that he would wager no major changes would take place during the time it would take to bake the bun, and that they could always send me in for a coloscopy just to have a nosey round during pregnancy and make sure nothing was awry.

spidookly · 28/03/2011 10:34

Oh Tanif that's great news! :)

I'm so pleased.

orangehead · 28/03/2011 10:36

Congratulations rew, great news.
Glad your sil has not lost the baby, hope she ok poor woman.
Well I thought I would start temping this month just to check I am ov, I normally just check cm and although it does go a bit more watery and very slightly stretchy it certainly cant be stetched a couple of inches and although there are changes they are very subtle. So thought I needed a bit more clarification. So yesterday I had a dip and then a rise today (cd 9) got all excited that that means I ov yesterday and we swi yesterday too (so sad what I get excited about). Then I did a bit of research today and realised the rise needs to be over 3 days for it to confirm ov, so will have to wait now to see what it does the next few days. Also realised they recommend recording temp under the tongue and I have been doing it doing my arm. Do you think this will make much difference or will it still show general pattern? Obviously till the end of this cycle I will continue under the arm to keep it consistent.
Hope you ok Thinking.

BoogiesBunny · 28/03/2011 10:38

Congratulations 'the pip and rew*!! Brilliant!

And Tanif it is so wonderful to hear that you can keep ttc!

Lovely, lovely start to the week guys!

orangehead · 28/03/2011 10:42

Congratulations pippy. Cant believe how many tests you have done and you still need to see the word pregnant Grin.
Thats great news Tanif. Smile

ThePippy · 28/03/2011 10:48

Thanks all.

orange I think you need to test as close to internal temp as possible, so under tongue is better than under arm, but even more accurate is vaginally. Also it is important to temp for all your cycle to really see your own OV pattern. I have temped for 2 months and this month I saw what looked like the thermal shift which given I had EWCM made me think I was OV (and is when SWI happened) but then my temps dropped again and the real thermal shift along with the positive OPK's came 4 days later, which is why I thought SWI was far too early. You also need a BBT thermometer which does 2 decimal places as the temp changes can be quite small in some people. Good luck temping, it is a real eye opener to your cycle I found.

orangehead · 28/03/2011 10:54

Thanks pippy. I will do under the tongue next cycle, hopefully wont need to. But thinking probably best to continue under the arm this month as that how I started and I will be probably just view this month as practice for getting my head around it.

Tanif · 28/03/2011 10:59

I hate symptom spotting. It's cruel and unusual punishment, but I had what I believe was ovulation last monday (cramping, pinkish EWCM), followed by incredibly sharp pains on Saturday night (which I've now convinced myself was implantation) followed by incredibly itchy/sore/sensitive nipples and mild nausea. Someone tell me to stop inventing things!

BlueCrane · 28/03/2011 11:00

Fantastic news rew and pippy Grin great start to the week!

And good news for you too tanif !!

Think that requires a bit of celebration with some nice lemon drizzle cake and chocolate chip cookies

Well...according to my 'enlightnement about ovulation' earlier this month I should (in theory) be ovulating yesterday or today but I used my last digi opk yesterday and no smiley face, and no sign of EWCM either so guess we'll just keep up the SWI and see what happens Hmm. Am therefore going to tentatively count myself as now being in the 2ww as AF due anytime from Sat 2nd -Sat 9th based on last 3 cycles...that also unfortunately being the exact dates of our holiday...here's hoping for an AF-free holiday and some good news whilst I'm away Wink
