Busy in here today.....

harrassed I'm so so sorry :( Fingers crossed you'll be back v. v. soon.

francesca I agree with nix, sign yourself off and spend lots of time in bed chilling out. Fingers crossed it doesn't mean doom. I can completely understand why you're scared but try not to think the worst if you can help it.

banana is the plan for you to be on 200mg for a bit and then up in a few weeks' time? I guess the thing to bear in mind is that at least you're supplementing which will make a huge difference to your underlying progesterone levels.

meliesmummy fingers crossed it's good news. My cycles went mental for about 4 months after my MC so I can't really give any advice but hoping for the best for you!

Hi knickers yep scary as they are, cramps seem to be completely par for the course. Apparently they are either your womb stretching or your bowels doing weird things!! Good work on the anxiety control - you're clearly doing a lot better than me!

mamap sorry things are so stressful - are you still looking ok to move on Friday?

mummya best of luck for today's scan. Really hope it brings fab news. Blimey at £16 a time I don't know how you restrain yourself to not go twice a week!!! Grin

tunnocks it's so sweet to think of your DH and DS looking after the chickens. How old is your DS?

WIW LMAO at CM - I work with a lot of men too and that sort of thing happens all the time. Then they look at me like I'm a raging idiot because I'm quietly smirking to myself :)

velvet sorry to hear about the fainting, must have been really frustrating to not be able to tell them why either. I think it's normal though. I'm basing this on the fact that on Neighbours that's how you tell when someone's pregnant - they faint everywhere..... So it must be true. Grin

onions good work sorting out booking in appointment.

Whoever was asking about supplements, I'm just taking pregnacare.

Sorry if I've missed anyone, there's been a lot going on here!!

LIBBY70 · 23/03/2011 20:10

Have been lurking a bit as I am newly pregnant after 3 MMC's. Will post properly when I have had 6wk scan on Friday and know if this pregnancy is progressing or not (head in sand at the moment).

I wanted to post to try and offer some reassurance to Wombat and MummyA about Incompetent Cervix. You can be monitored for this via a standard scan-just need to ask the sonographer to measure the length of your cervix and check that it is closed and there is no "funnelling". Please ask if you have any more concerns as have lots more info if needed.

Good luck to you all, really sorry to see your news Harrassed and Fx for you MummyA but sickness although horrid is a good sign.

Francesca87 · 23/03/2011 20:11

harrassed - so sorry for your loss. I truly understand how you feel and it is such an awful time. I hope you have supportive people around you and they are taking care of you. It is touching that you gave me the time to give me your advice and to reassure me - thank you.

IreneHeron - I have had nothing now all day, no pain, or blood, so I am trying to stay positive. Its the not knowing whats going on wth your own body that is the worst feeling!

nickstermum - I am seriously considering your advice, although I have had time off in the last few months with the last mc...not sure how my employer will feel and I also didnt want to tell them. I will be 6 weeks on Sunday, is Monday to soon for a scan?

mattsmama - I was thinking of ringing again and expressing my worry of an ectopic pregnancy, sounds silly but I just dont want to tempt fate

Ninunina · 23/03/2011 21:29

harrassed so sorry for your loss. It must be difficult to be going through this again. Make sure you take care of yourself xxx

Francesca Fx that all is ok with you.

Thanks everyone for your comments about seeing a hb at 5+ weeks. I won't get my hopes up about finding a hb. I'm glad I spoke to you ladies, since I was half expecting to see one, so at least I won't be disappointed if I don't see one.

Knitter I'm not too far away from Southfields. I'm in Richmond. Are you booked in at St Georges? I need to go there for my scan. You can't make an appointment, my gp has just written an appointment and told me to turn up between 8:30-11:30. I read on a website that their open on Saturdays, so go then instead of tomorrow or Friday since I'm worried there will be a massive queue and I won't get to work till really late.

Ninunina · 23/03/2011 21:31

Typo....was meant to say gp has written a referal not an appointment Hmm

Youremindmeofthebabe · 23/03/2011 22:00

ma we think it's fine. We just need to check dosages tomorrow, and will let you know as soon as I do. I say we, I mean sheGrin

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 22:26

Thanks everyone for the supplement advice. Might investigate the preg supplement packs tomorrow.

mamap I hope your day improved?

izzy what a sad mc. To have got through your 12 week scan too. CSM I ask why people are choosing to pay for 12 week scans and not hustings having nhs dating scan?

Good advice though pink on not telling mw about pvt scans. Will remember that.

velvet sorry about you fainting. I had lots of dizzy spells in lst pg bur no fainting. Hope you're ok?

Grin @ nicksters number plate. What a lovely idea.

Thinking about mummya right now. Hoping the scan is giving you lots of reassurance.

My cramps seem to be easing. Still have some mild craps but pains have gone.... Which you'd think I'd be pleased about but now I'm paranoid about why they've gone Blush can't win. Just don't feel pg. No sore boobs (just one ginormous one), no sickness, no metal mouth.... Sad why do I want to feel like shit???

Ninunina · 23/03/2011 23:01

LOL collie we can never win with pregnancy symptoms. If we feel them, we freak out, if we don't feel them, we freak out.

I've been stressing about mine too. I worry about the cramps (especially today since they've been quite sharp), then worry because I didn't feel much nausea, then get reassured because my boobs doubled in 24 hours and feel like I've been working out at the gym (which I haven't).

Still haven't experienced a metalic taste...not too keen on that one, so I can live without that.

Oh the joys of the first 12 weeks.....will it get any easier?

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 23:20

Lurking for mummya

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 23:26

Grin at my 'Mild craps' post.... Meant cramps.

ninu my one boob swelled before my bfp it's a good cup size bigger than the other. Blush

I had the sharp pains too, which worried me. Few people on here have had them too, maybe the uterus growing?
I have a feeling it may get worse before it gets better, but as long as there's a heathy bean at the end I'm not complaining. Smile

MummyAbroad · 23/03/2011 23:28

Good scan here Grin Had a lovely doddering old sonographer who did a really thorough job (though it was a long 5 mins before he found the heartbeat and I could breath out!) Heartbeat is fine, a healthy 157 beats per min, and CRM is great for dates too. He also found a mioma (fibroid/benign tumour) too - just googled and i am sort of reassured as it seems most women have them and dont know about them. I guess its just something to watch as time goes on.

babe thanks so much for asking about the meds, its always good to get positive info from lots of sources. I still succumb to the belief that British doctors/pharmacists "are better" even though thats probably not true, its just easier to trust the nanny state!

collie ninunina be careful what you wish for! Feeling shit isnt all its made out to beGrin

MummyAbroad · 23/03/2011 23:29

forgot to say - sorry if I kept you all up waiting, I should have warned you that English puncutality doesnt exits out here - I was kept waiting for aaaaages.Smile

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/03/2011 23:30

mummya have posted to you on common room thread but yay! here too Smile

Night all - am knackered x

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 23:34

Aghhh that's amazing mummya so pleased they found a beautiful hb for your bean. Must have been amazing. Glad you can feel rest assurednow fir a bit. Bit Sad they found a minoa but glad you don't think it's anything to worry about.

Enjoy the test of your day mummya, and your high xx

PinkFondantFancy · 24/03/2011 06:33

Fab news mummya!!!! Glad your meds sound like they're ok too.

collie I booked private 12 week scan because at my booking in appt at 11.5 weeks (!) the MW admitted she'd overlooked the need to book me a scan yet and wasn't able to tell me when I might get it, and I needed it asap after 12 weeks so my meds could be assessed.

Have a great day all! Xx

OrangeGloss · 24/03/2011 07:17

Harrased I am so so sorry to hear that :( (((hugs))) I don't know what else to say xxxx

Ninunina I've only just noticed the needing to pee thing at 16 weeks. I've heard symptoms come and go so I'm sure your wavering sore boobage is nothing to worry about
Tunnocks glad all was well with the scan, glad you thought better of metalling about the 1mm difference
Mamap sorry you're having legal problems :( I bet the pg hormones aren't helping
Velvet while not pg I've been prone to an odd faint due to low blood pressure I've been told, none so far but have been light headed. It's the only thing in my limited medical knowledge I can think of! Hopefully MW can advise better
Yay for Wombat scan :)
Francesca as others have said, lots of ladies here have had this. I hope time goes quickly and you can have a reassuring scan. Sorry you're going through this x
Mummya glad to hear all is ok, and a very impressive price too!

I've had some muscle and fanjo twinges lately but since I seem to have expanded I'm thinking it's normal growing pains. The good news of last Thursdays HB listen has worn off and I'm now officially back to mentalling

katherine2008 · 24/03/2011 08:24

Yay mummya chuffed to bits for you. Sending hugs to harrassed today. orange i have a kipper in my hand....

katherine2008 · 24/03/2011 08:25

oh and good luck mamap with your scan today

PinkFondantFancy · 24/03/2011 08:33

MAMAP it's scaaaaannn daaaaaaay!!! Grin Best of luck honey, I am soooo excited for you - it's going to look so different from the last time you saw little tinker. I am going to PMSL when they move your DD to 26 September so that we can be twins again Grin What time are you up? xx

orange no more mentalling please! Really hope mini orange starts kicking you soon - I'm wishing my life away until I can feel it.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/03/2011 08:50

Oooh good luck mamap !!

Wombat33 · 24/03/2011 09:07

yey for mummya scan! And good luck mamap and anyone else with a scan today!

I'm planning to tell work today. Eek!

Collie2 · 24/03/2011 09:16

Good luck mamap for the scan today. Hope you're better today too.

ohhh wombat how exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. Bet it will be a relief to be able to stop hiding it! Do you have nice family friendly employer?

katherine2008 · 24/03/2011 09:41

Have a great day wombat Grin

owlbooty · 24/03/2011 10:04

Oooh, good luck today Womble and MamaP :)

Collie I did have the NHS 12 week scan. But the little darling was stood on his head and wouldn't move so I had the choice of waiting another 5 weeks (this was at 11+1) for the quadruple blood test or booking a private scan. I wasn't in any mental state to wait another 5 weeks to find out whether there was anything wrong, as you can imagine so I had the private one the week after :)

Nin I never got the metallic taste either! I think half of these symptoms that supposedly everyone gets are a complete myth. Irene sorry you're feeling so rotten and sicky, it's amazing how it changes though pretty much overnight things become edible again - it's the best feeling ever when that happens :)

Welcome and congratulations to lovely new people :) Fran random bleeding does seem to be horribly common in here - I think making sure your GP knows about it is the best plan even if they don't actively do anything about it but if it comes back and it's really worrying you and you feel you need someone to look at it there is no shame in pitching up at A&E - that is what they are there for. They can then refer to EPU if they feel it's the best way forwards. After 6 weeks they should at least be able to tell you if there is something in the right place, which is the important thing.

Collie2 · 24/03/2011 10:06

OMG I am ravenous!!!!!
