Yes Knicker you're in the right place for a bit of mentalling. We're all pretty much in the same boat here. Every twinge causes a sudden rush to the loo with plenty of knicker checking!

harrassed keeping FX for you and that there still may be some positive news from the bloods. Sorry for the earlier Xpost.

Owl brownies are a pretty good thing to fall on. Must send some to Velvet just in case she faints again. Softer nad more tastier landing, and with all the sugar in them should cease fainting at 20 paces Grin

Wombat great news on the scan!

Any wobblers today??

hotnspicyonions · 23/03/2011 16:09

Yes I wish that scans were that cheap here too! Good luck MummyA all is crossed for you ((()))

Thinking of.... hairy; ladybee; digi; A&R

Ninu I had a scan at 5+4 when they found a heart beat. Literally one pixel flashing on and off but it was lovely to see it. We must be quite near each other too - I'm in Southfields nr Wimbledon...

tunnocks lovely scan news - hurrah

mamap sorry to hear about legal issoos - fx for less stress in the near future

velvet I went through weeks of blacking out - no fainting though.... In the end it went away when I started eating more meat, fruit juice and chocolate :)

owl love your pee sticks photo!

wombat pleased you had good scan too. If the scan person didn't mention the little bleed near your cervix from before maybe it's gone away...?

harassed sorry to hear things aren't straight forward. I'll keep my fx for you all and (((hugs)))

RE vitamins I'm taking Sanatogen Mum to Be and my Evening Primrose Oil

melie nice to meet you... To be honest on the WTF cycle anything could happen.. The goo could just be your womb having another clear out... or it could be implantation... but my instinct would be AF.... Sorry... Mind you if you've got a pee stick it's worth a widdle.... :)

Mummya oh no... will cross all fingers and toes for you until you come back and tell us that everything is ok and you want some fish chucked in your direction....

knickers oh yes 100% freak-out action here... It ebbs and flows but I think there is always someone having a tough day...

My bump seems to have shrunk again... makes me think it was mostly chocolate induced but there's definitely still a little bulge so I'm going to cherish that! Also I am feeling flutters. I know it's early and you probably won't believe me but I felt DS from about 8 weeks too.... I've been feeling them for a week or so now - just very occasional tweaks and pokes that can't be anything else.... :)

MummyAbroad · 23/03/2011 16:21

Thanks all, I am not in full blown panic, just cant shake the thought that these costa rican meds might not be safe, and need to get some reassurance from a scan. I know my doctor cant be that clueless to prescribe me something really dangerous (especially as they are not even particularly effective) but you know what its like, worry cant be subdued by logic in these circumstances. I also know that I am more likely to bleed in early pregnancy because of the AS and that it doesnt necessarily mean the end of the line - and I did promise myself that my strategy to deal with this would be to scan as soon as it happened. Scan is at 4pm my time (10pm for you I think) I am very thankful that its not long to wait, and not far to go (and cheap Grin )

harrassed hope you are managing to distract yourself until results come in xxx

Bloods were pretty a conclusive 6! I have to poas in a week and let then know the results, but I think it's safe to say it'll be a bfn. I'm ok, a bit wobbly, but hadn't allowed myself to get excited really although was pleased to have such good symptoms tbh!

Soo I'm going to thank you all for your wishes and messages, wish you all safe, sticky beans....... and lurk!! I hope to be back with you all soon ((()))'s

wombatinwaiting · 23/03/2011 17:11

So sorry harassed - big squeeze to you.

Fingers v tightly crossed for mummya today

Great news for scanners wombat and tunnocks

wombatinwaiting · 23/03/2011 17:13

Had a moment today that really made me chuckle - at a presentation on construction contracts, there was a slide that said "conversion of existing CM" - looked around to see if anyone else was laughing at the CM bit (cos of course there is only thing CM could stand for IMO these days!) and felt a bit foolish when confronted with 58 male faces and only 2 female, both of which way too young to be thinking about ttc....!

owlbooty · 23/03/2011 17:19

Bugger, harrassed , I am so sorry it wasn't better news for you :( Your beanbag will be kept in pristine condition until you return (which hopefully will be very soon) Big hugs x

MummyA I think you can probably stop fretting about your anti-barfing drugs (although always worth checking the dosage you've been given looks sensible and if there's a tame pharmacist who can comment then that's even better): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meclozine

meliesmummy · 23/03/2011 17:22

Thanks for the replies x

Ive had no more bleeding so although I'm not going to get excited yet (I cant allow myself to) it doesn't look like it's af.

I hope to peep around the door again soon, can you save me a seat next to collie and cep please? x

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 17:23

harassed I am so so sorry sweet. Feel sick to my stomach for you. Be kind to yourself, and feel free to pm me for a virtual cry if necc. I'll be looking out for you, I feel like we've been through the mc and post mc marriage journey together, I'm just gutted for you x

MummyAbroad · 23/03/2011 17:27

thanks owl Smile Love the "tame pharamacist" epithet. May we all be blessed with tame midwives, tame doctors and tame nurses from now on! Grin

banana87 · 23/03/2011 17:48

Wow, lots to catch up on.

Sorry harrassed that it wasnt better news :( Hope you are back very soon!

Good luck mummya with your scan later. I will be looking out for your news.

Great news Wombat and Tunnocks on your scans!

Meliesmummy Fingers crossed you get a BFP soon :)

Waves to everyone I missed.

Consultant appt last night went fine, only he prescribed me 200mg of progesterone, not 400...and I am totally freaking out about it. He likes to start in small doses but isn't that very small? I can have a scan when I want, I've said 2.5 weeks but it isn't something I can think about right now. One day at a time. On top of that I had DD up most of the night coughing, being sick, and crying. Poor thing is miserable, fine in the day but not at night :( I've got a horrible sore throat, and I am exhausted from sleeping on the sofa with DD last night :(

Francesca87 · 23/03/2011 18:51

Hello ladies,
Sorry to 'butt' in.... I have been trying to get on and hope the weeks pass quickly until I reach 12... Unfortunately, I have already hit a problem I think.

Yesterday, whilst in tesco I started getting terrible stabbing pains in my abdomen, I left, came home and laid down. About half hour after these pains/cramps started I bled, not masses but was a 'watery red' and a bit of brown. I prepared myself for the worst (mc last year), padded up and tried to sleep.

Anyway, when I woke this morning, expecting the worse, I found there was a few spots of dark brown blood. Throughout today I have not had any red blood and VERY slight brown spotting. I have had nothing for a few hours now and everything seems to be fading when I wipe. (No clots have been passede)

Have any of you experienced this?

I am only 5+3 weeks, and my EPU have said there is nothing they can do until I am at least 6 weeks. They have said to just monitor the bleeding for now, but I am so scared!

Thanks xx

harassedinherpants · 23/03/2011 19:38

Francesca, so sorry you're going. I've just mc'd today at 5+1 and my epu scanned me, and tested my hcg levels. I'd phone again tomorrow or ask gp to refer you.

You could be one of the lucky ones though, there are plenty of ladies on here who have had bleeds and been fine. Good luck x

IreneHeron · 23/03/2011 19:44

Harrassed so sorry about your news. Hope to see you again here soon.

Francesca Hope you're ok, fingers crossed it doesn't get worse. It is so hard because the docs just have to let you get on with it. Remember lots people on this board have had spotting and goo and still have healthy beans. In my experience too you can get all sorts of stabs, cramps and stretchy pains.

Tunnocks good news, and you Wombat.

I'm sick of being sick. I feel sick when I'm hungry, if I get too hungry I go through cold sweats and dry heaving. If I've eaten i just chuck that up. Gawd knows why I'm not losing any flab. Every time I have a craving for something, that wonderful something that doesn't smell or look disgusting to me, I'll eat it once then won't be able to face it again. Lots of food is going off in the fridge. Can't believe this could go on for weeks. With DS it only lasted about a month and started at 8 weeks, it has been about a month already like this. I can barely cook so DH is having to do it all. Moan over.

nickstermum · 23/03/2011 19:46

Francesca if they wont see you before 6 weeks, sign yourself off sick, get those feet up and do nothing. Get into EPU then and see where you go from there. ITs good that its stopped. Brown is good. It could have been a bit of burrowing blood.... esp if its around the time your bleed would be normally due.

Harrassed there are just no words - so sorry :(

((mummy)) FX for a hb xxx feet up now though xxx

Wombat i still cannot bear anything across my lower abdomen AT ALL!! hence i live in leggings!!!

mattsmama · 23/03/2011 19:59

harrassed I'm so sorry for you. My heart truly sank when I read your post. It brought every fear and horrible feeling back to me from last year. I understand very much how you will be feeling. Big big hugs. xx

francesca the sight of blood of any shade just strikes an awful fear right to the pit of your stomach. All I can say is that I have known many many ladies who have bled and have lost quite a lot of blood and everything has turned out fine. The bleeding can have many causes and does not always spell doom and gloom. I am surprised at your EPU not seeing you sooner though as my local hospital does scan you for risk of ectopic pregnancy so although nothing much can be visible at such an early stage in terms of sac and fetal pole etc at least they can determine if a pregnancy was ectopic or not. Mention this to them and you might get in sooner?

ps - don't mean to alarm you re ectopic just trying to give you ammunition when you ring your EPU. Hope this helps and FX for you
