Cloclo we'd started down the investigations route before we fell, but didn't get very far. I'm pretty sure the reason it took so long was stress. 2010 was a completely rotten year with one horrible stressful crap thing after another. My cycle was completely out of whack for much of that time. Once the horrible stressful crap things stopped happening, my cycle went back to normal and we started getting somewhere (suspected chemical pg in month 2, actual though ill-fated pg in month 4).

I'll need to contact the GP on Monday for miscarriage follow-up. I'll ask then about hormones and whether anything might be up with that. They're unlikely ever to determine why I lost the pregnancy. Losses in the early weeks (I was 9+5) are so common they don't consider it abnormal until you've lost 3.

Hopefully you will fall again soon Tomboy - I only asked about the progesterone because having done some research into it for myself, I know it can make it difficult to catch but also can cause MC too in the early stages. Might be worth asking the doc about

LateToTheTTCParty · 13/06/2011 22:43

Aww Tomboy, really sorry about the mc, hope you're doing ok, it's a horrible thing for you to have to go through

How is everyone doing? Any AF arrival or much better, a BFP?

I'm on CD 27, no sign of AF yet but didn't ovulate till CD19 so don't want it to show up yet really or it would be a very short luteal phase. Had bloods done on Friday and Monday, now I've got a rather attractive bruise to show for it because I can only get bloods done in one arm - the vein on the other is too thin. Oh well, only one more set to go after AF starts!

CaveMum · 14/06/2011 21:16

Hi Cloclo it has been very quiet here lately hasn't it. We're not far off needing a new thread so perhaps that will bring some people out, and some newbies in.

Nothing to really report in my world. Still no AF, not sure how long it has been since my chemically induced bleed as I've not been counting days, but it must be about 8 or 9 weeks.

I'm just counting down the days till my operation - 11 July. I haven't told my work that I need 2 days off yet but will do so in the next week or two. I'm going to tell my parents too (though will try not to tell them exactly why I am having an operation) but don't want them to worry so will not tell them until a week or so before the operation.

The house move is keeping me fully occupied so I'm not really dwelling on things too much.

Cloclo15 · 14/06/2011 22:04

Glad you are managing to keep yourself focused on the house, it's really exciting :) I loved moving into our house, but it was our first one so we didn't have the hassle of selling which was good!

I'm holding my breath here, AF is 3 days late now & this cycle has now equalled the longest I've recorded...eek! Sitting on my hands and not poas until I'm 7 days late to avoid getting my hopes up and being disappointed...

It has been very quiet here hasn't it....

Wow Cave your op has come around fast, hope you're feeling ok about it and really hope this is where you & Mr Cave turn a corner...

Late without meaning to break your resolve, I would've thought 3 days late would be sufficiently late to test. Or are you giving AF longer to turn up because you hate seeing a BFN? (I can relate to that one.)

After two mornings in a row at the EPU, I've been officially discharged. They did a blood test yesterday that showed a bit of pg hormone still hanging about, so they brought me back today for a scan to be sure everything had resolved. The good news is that all my internal bits are in good nick and working as they should, so there's reason to hope for another, stickier BFP soon.

We're trying again as of now. The official advice is to wait for one normal period because it makes dating easier, but screw it. If need be, we'll say we got carried away. Or we forgot. Or we thought it couldn't happen on that day. Or it split, honest Miss, we used one but it split, we promise! Ah, to be 18 again...

Report
Cloclo15 · 14/06/2011 23:16

Since coming off the pill when I was 27, we have had two split, so it's not totally unlikely!

Late I would test, you should get a positive at 3 days late I would have thought :)

Getting a bit busier in here again which is nice Smile

Well, AF due today and not a sausage. Much like you late I'm holding off testing for as long as I can as I really want to avoid the whole BFN scenario!

Trying not to get hopes up though as I think I ov'd a bit later this this cycle...day 17 instead of 15 which is generally what it is for me so we'll see what happens!

Fingers crossed for you late

Tomboy think I would be inclined to do as you are and just go for it!

Report
Fingerscrossed1 · 15/06/2011 14:49

Ok, so I just googled late ovulation and that's probably why AF not showed up yet, not because I'm pregnant, fook!

Could still be PG Fingers, especially if you have no symptoms.

Have you tested yet Late? how long are you going to wait?

Report
LateToTheTTCParty · 16/06/2011 06:35

Got it in one Tomboy, The max I've waited before was 3 days, and then AF turned up LITERALLY 2 hours after the BFN Angry Even I have to admit it's looking quite hopeful at the moment Smile - still no symptoms, but temps haven't plummeted....eek!

Fx for you fingers, let's hope we've both hit the jackpot this month!
