Hello all and welcome Petal!

Tomboy the not knowing must be so frustrating for you. Are you away on holiday? Maybe be worth going to GP before then so you can (hopefully) find out for certain one way or another so that it doesn't play on your mind.

Cavemum you appointment has come around really quickly! Time is flying - can't believe I'll be on Cycle 4 soon - feels like we've been trying for no time at all.

Truff you should definitely go into full detail about Mr Truff's sperm the next time someone has the cheek to ask about family plans - I can guarantee that the look on their face would be priceless! I'd love to teach people to mind their own business by saying something like that.

Well I've just waved OH off at the station - he's away on business until Sunday. Ov day is prob Weds and we only managed a shag yesterday morning so that will be no good. Did try this morning but we were at friends' and the floorboards were a bit creaky so decided against it. Oh well, at least I can tuck in to the red wine and cheese for another few weeks or so.

Right, the laundry calls. Have a nice evening all.

Cave thanks for the info!

Imps we are indeed away on holiday. This is the re-run attempt at the America trip that should've happened at Christmas but didn't (thank you so very very much, Heathrow).

In the past, long haul flights have almost invariably triggered ERTD the next day, so that may sort out the uncertainty right there. (I almost don't want to get a BFP before we go because then I'd worry the flight might make me miscarry.)

Aloha!

May I join you lovely ladies? Erm, again, that is. I used to be here many months ago when we first started trying, but drifted away. 10 unsuccessful cycles on, and I could really use some moral support!

I've just started miscarrying today at 5 weeks pregnant (my second that I've bothered to test for so far Angry Sad), so if it's alright, I'll plonk myself at the bottom of today's list, bottle of booze and plate of sushi in hand. (I've got plenty to share.)

Hope you're all having lovely weekends.

Welcome back Almost but sorry you've had to return and (((hugs)) to get you through this horrible time.

We've had a power cut this evening and DH was getting a bit irritable at the thought of no TV or playstation! Thankfully it's back on so we've gone from my idea of quite romantic: candle light, chatting and cuddling on the sofa; to DH's preferred reality of blu ray entertainment and using the kettle rather than resorting to boiling water on the hob!

Still no symptoms for me and I've spent all day feeling like I'm far too old to be dealing with hangovers due to buying rounds of shots Blush needless to say it's been a very lazy day chez Truff today!

Yippee, lots of new joiners in the last few days. It seems that we ask and we shall receive!!

So FF is telling me I should be testing on Friday if no ERTD but that's only CD28 and I have been known to have the odd 30 dayer. We're also away for the weekend and I would hate to ruin alovely romantic getaway with the misery of a BFN. I'm thinking if no ERTD by Tuesday when we get home, I can test then. As I am entirely symptomless, I think the evil one will arrive before then anyway and save me the hassle of POAS.

Any progress today Tomboy? I'm hoping ERTD is staying away and for good reason, rather than just messing you about!

I'll be POAS this weekend too Truff, not that I've got anything to get excited about - I don't think I laid an egg at all this cycle (didn't pick up any LH surge) and I think I may just be feeling a little bit crampy... Hey ho, I may yet be surprised - DH has more than done his duty Grin and I've fairly breezed through the 2ww, hardly noticed it!

My younger sis announced she was 14 weeks gone with her second DC yesterday which I'm delighted about, but also a leeetle bit jealous - but that's allowed, no? Smile

Report
Imps7 · 07/03/2011 19:11

Hello

A little bit of jealousy is definitely allowed Late - it's only natural to feel a twinge of the green-eyed monster when someone close to you announces their up-duffedness. V exciting to have a new niece or nephew though!

No POAS action for me this weekend but having been reassured by other MNers that it is possible to get pg if you only SWI 4 days or so before OV I will definitely be starting the symptom spotting. Can't wait!

Hello Daiso welcome to the thread! Hope you get your BFP really soon!

TomboyWife · 07/03/2011 22:37

Evening ladies, and welcome to the newcomers!

almost I hope you're doing okay given the very sad circumstances. Sad

Late I think Envy is more than allowed, especially as it's your younger sister.

Nothing new to report. With every day that goes by, I'm more and more convinced I'm updiffed, brace of BFNs or no. We're out of tests, so I've not had an opportunity to add another BFN to my collection today.

The most recent two BFNs have been Boots own brand tests. Anyone know if those are unusually insensitive?

Report
LateToTheTTCParty · 07/03/2011 22:49

flip Tomboy, I just saw your stats - CD43?!?! I hope you find out one way or t'other soon, I'd be climbing the walls if it was me so far past the ERTD date but all those BFNs!

I think DH is more Envy of my b-i-l than I am of my sis! It's great news really, she had a mc last summer, how can you begrudge it Smile - did anyone see that poor woman on OBEM who finally had her baybee after 4 mcs? it made me a little teary!

Report
Truffkin · 07/03/2011 23:18

I've used Boots test before but have never been pg so can't vouch for their accuracy. Also, 15 days late should be enough for even the least sensitive test to give you a BFP you'd think wouldn't you Confused

When you come back from holidays at least you should be able to get a blood test done at your GP or hospital and know once and for all!

Is anyone near me on the list getting tempted to POAS yet? I'm finding it a bit of a challenge, I'm forcing myself to pee in the morning, then after that, keep telling myself that it is more likely to be +ve in the morning. I don't have any symptoms apart from a weird sensation in my abdomen, which feels like it did before I did a test last month.

Happy pancake day everyone, am just about to head home to cook up a storm on the batter front! I'm giving up sweets / chocolate / cakes etc for Lent so have a big blow out tonight (as is the traditional way of course!)

Lizzy I'm not tempted to POAS but then I've done it before and the BFN comedown is worse than ERTD arriving for me. I have no symptoms either in spite of much boob prodding so am pretty convinced ERTD will be arriving over the weekend. Am hopeful it stays away until Monday so I can enjoy the spa without worrying, but if it's not here by Tuesday I shall definitely be putting my FMU to good use Grin

Welcome Maybe and in fact all of the recent joiners, how did you come to be TTC and what are your situations?

Hello! Happy pancake day! And happy international women's day! And happy carnival! Lots to celebrate. :)

Thanks for the welcome! I'm doing OK, resting and preparing for another month's wonderful shagging. ;) My GP is sending me off for a scan next week, which I think is slightly pointless as the pregnancy test has gone completely negative now, but never mind. I'll have a free scan, but I'm mentally moving on.

Truffkin we just both started going a little baby crazy, so decided to go for it. :) Also, hope your cycle mystery declares itself soon!

Fingers crossed for you Lizzy!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Well, my story is that DH and I married in October with the intent to wait a few years before TTC, but I fell pregnant before Xmas (whilst on pill) but sadly MC at 5-6 weeks.

But that gave us the baby bug big time! We've always wanted them, so decided to get going Grin
