HRHCaveMum · 29/04/2011 08:08

Hurrah for finding the cat!

DuchessImps - get your boxing gloves on, it's just been announced that Her Maj has given your title to Kate [cwink]

TomboyWife · 29/04/2011 09:36

Well then...

BFP!!!! [cgrin]

milocuckoomitten · 29/04/2011 09:39

Sorry I didn't give stats - Cycle ? (not properly kept track just not made any efforts not to get pg) UCL 31(ish) CD37!

Tested this morning as according to dates AF due yesterday - BFP. Was apparently a test that can work early and is 99% accurate after date AF due [csad]

How likely is it that I could still be pg? I have had problems with long cycles before, but they had regulated from last November and have been around the 25th of each month since then. Also never had the spotting before. Have had some cramps the last couple of days that are in the same place but don't feel like normal AF cramps. Just want to know either way...

TomboyWife · 29/04/2011 09:44

milo if AF is only one day late, it's still very possible you got a false negative. I'd try again in a couple of days if no AF by then.

Sucks, doesn't it, not knowing what's going on. [csad]

DuchessImps7ofCambridgeshire · 29/04/2011 09:47

Aw, thanks all! It hasn't really sunk in yet; after 18 months of trying, I'm having a hard time believing we've actually, finally, bloody succeeded. [cshock]

Grumbler · 29/04/2011 20:19

Woweeee! Such a superb way to finish off a busy day at work (boo sucks for working when everyone else is froclicking at a street party)
Day suddenly made excellent by hearing such a string of positive news! First the cat, then a BFP - Hurrah! sending you a big smile!

Thanks for the advice re. temping Imps7 think I'll pick up a thermometer tomorrow and give it a go. Can only make me feel more aware of what's going on down there and maybe that alone will make me feel better? It's the feeling of being completely out of control of all this that's the most scary.

Cloclo - looks like we're roughly at the same point at cycles ATM - I'll be crossing my fingers at the same time as you. But you should def go to the appointment. Whatever they say you don;t have to decide to do anything different yet - going to the appointment doesn't change anything, it just gives you more information and that's always a good thing.

I saw three magpies in the car park this morning, then a group of four on the front garden as I came home today - which has got to be an amazing omen for a boy and a girl on the way... I'm hoping it's good news number2 from whoever is going to POAS next. Maybe we're on a roll?

(PS - watching the highlights of the wedding as I type - shed a little tear - my goodness, I'm really losing the plot?!)

MollyDefoe · 29/04/2011 21:07

Congratulations Tomboy!!!

weimy · 29/04/2011 21:17

Congratulations Tomboy!!!!! Hurrah Grin

milocuckoomitten · 29/04/2011 21:39

I feel as if time has stopped! I want to know either way so much, I'm actually fine with not being pregnant this month as hadn't really thought it was possible until I got the spotting, but just want to know if I'm not. If I am I want to know so the excitement can start! I don't have any symptoms apart from some slight cramps, but that in itself is odd as I usually get sore boobs and cold-like symptoms before AF. I also really don't want the long cycles to start again as that was very worrying.

DreamingOfABump · 30/04/2011 00:36

milo, why not test??

LateToWilliamnKatesParty · 30/04/2011 08:47

Whoop whoop Tomboy, what fantastic news!

Well, DH & I (and a couple of totally over-excited Americans) had THE most amazing day yesterday - went down to the Mall at silly o'clock, got a good spot & saw all the comings and goings. THEN got swept down the Mall & ended up right outside the Palace with the best view of the balcony & The Kiss! [cgrin] Just fantastic! I think I now have a bit of a girl-crush on Princess Kate [cblush]

My temps are all over the place - should be ov today but opk strips haven't picked anything up yet.... [cconfused] DH & I will carry on SWI-ing regardless [cwink]

DH & I are trying to decide which house to put an offer on - the 'heart' option which is huge and lovely and quite a bit of a financial stretch, or the 'head' option which is adequate and fine and far more affordable. I'm torn! (at least it, along with the Royal Wedding, is taking my mind off TTC!)

milocuckoomitten · 30/04/2011 09:53

Dreamingofabump Tested yesterday morning BFN. Don't have any more tests at home so would have to buy some more. Have done all this before, used several tests then AF came so feeling a bit cautious about the whole thing, especially after already getting a BFN.

DreamingOfABump · 30/04/2011 09:59

its awful not knowing, hope you have an answer either ay soon milo. fingers crossed for a BFRWP. (that a big fat royal wedding positive btw)

milocuckoomitten · 30/04/2011 10:43

I've just looked back at my calendar and the last time I had a longer cycle (36 days) was September 2010. Since then all have been 26-30. I am now on day 38! If AF had started when I had the spotting it would have been even earlier than when I thought I was due, which was slightly earlier than predicted, because my ACL is skewed due to previous long cycles (used to sometimes go over 40 days). I didn't have any AF type cramps at all when I had the spotting, whereas I usually wonder why I've got backache/tummyache for a while before twigging that AF has started. I keep thinking I'm holding it off but I'm more relaxed than I have been for quite some time and previously it was stress causing the long cycles. When I had the spotting I even just thought oh I've started early how annoying, until it turned out to be so little and then stopped which is when I said if we'd tried properly I'd think I was pg - as it seemed so classically like what I've read about implantation bleeding. But in that case shouldn't I have had a BFP by now? It's been over a week.
The only symptom I now have is on/off cramps, so I keep thinking AF is coming but no sign so far. I was also sick on Monday night - OH had the oven on and it didn't smell very nice - but that could have been nerves due to going back to work the next day. Confused
Going to go and try to keep myself busy now so I'm not dwelling on it too much.

TomboyWife · 30/04/2011 13:36

Hmm, could you be having a chemical pregnancy milo? Symptoms, no AF, but negative test? I had what I think was a chemical pregnancy a couple of months ago. Did four tests in all, the second one just might have had the faintest shadow of a line, but the other three were all definitively negative. AF was over two weeks late when she finally turned up.

(Yes, I know I'm not meant to be posting in this thread any more, but the superstitious part of me doesn't want to move to the grads yet for fear of tempting fate.)

milocuckoomitten · 30/04/2011 13:41

I thought you got a positive test if you had a chemical pregnancy?

weimy · 30/04/2011 15:12

FX you get some answers soon milo x
