Eeeeee Tomboy! It's sounding good, fx [cgrin]
So sorry about your cat [csad] maybe she's found another family, cats do that don't they?

Admire your poas attitude, DH and I have decided that we're not going to test this time until a week after AF is due. There, now you ladies have to hold me to that! [cwink]

Imps7 · 27/04/2011 20:45

I'm up for a challenge Late!

Imps7 · 27/04/2011 20:49

Tomboy - sorry - I missed the bit about your cat (was getting all caught up in your pg symptoms and Late's EWCM Grin) Really sorry. Don't know what else to say really Sad

Grumbler · 27/04/2011 22:21

Evening ladies - thank you for the many welcome messages! Feeling ever so comfy in the insane asylum already, quite at home!
So sorry to hear about your cat tomboy though if it's any consolation I have one boy one girl (cat...) and the boy has been out all day and all night this week since the weather got nice - i think even though he's got no bits he's attempting to sow his wild oats! SWI must be contagious! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you! I can imagine how worried you are.

And abso-bloomin-delighted for petal I'm convinced this is a positive omen for us all...

HRHCaveMum · 27/04/2011 22:27

Tomboy sorry to hear about your cat. It is such a worry when they wander off. Is she microchipped?

I hope you're all planning on some appropriate name changes for Friday [royal decree] [cwink]

LateToWilliamnKatesParty · 28/04/2011 06:51

(up early to hang up the bunting before work)

Imps, your opinion please fellow temp-watcher. My temp has been EXACTLY the same for the last 3 days - exactly the same numbers, 36.68C. I thought something had gone wrong with the BBT so I tried it under my arm (not in my mouth, ewwwwww!) and it was different, took it again fagily and there it was, exactly the same 4 numbers showing. A bit odd, don't you think?

Also, can people reassure me that EWCM comes and goes during the day over the course of a few days? Had a lot of it, then none at all, then a bit....

Wow, it's been a long week, looking forward to another few days off - although getting up even EARLIER tomorrow to get a good spot in the Mall [cgrin]

DuchessImps7ofCambridgeshire · 28/04/2011 08:05

Hmmmmm, Late. My expert conclusion is, err, I don't know. FF seems to think that flat temperatures are a bit abnormal - maybe try a new thermometer? Alternatively, you are just very consistent!

My temp has gone crazy this morning - [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Imps7/ look at it!!] I am very dehydrated today though (didn't get a chance to drink my usual 2 litres of water yesterday, plus I had quite a bit of some Wine, plus my dinner was a little too salty). And I didn't have a good night's sleep - was awake between 3am and 5:30am, which is deeply annoying.

I'm SO excited about the Royal Wedding tomorrow!! Can't wait!

DuchessImps7ofCambridgeshire · 28/04/2011 08:06

Oh, re: EWCM - mine stays constant for 4/5 days or so, but I don't think that means that it's abnormal to come and go over the course of a few days.

HRHCaveMum · 28/04/2011 08:10

Late hope you get a good spot - I'm very jealous [cenvy]

DuchessImps LOVING the namechange [cgrin] Though of rumpled are true you won't be the only Duchess of Canbridge by the end of tomorrow [cwink]

HRHCaveMum · 28/04/2011 08:12

Flippin iPhone!!!! "of rumpled" = "if rumours" obviously [chmm]

JosieSmith1 · 28/04/2011 09:09

Morning everyone

Doing list now - hope you find your cat Tomboy [csad]

My house was spotless when I got in last night [cgrin] DH took the hint and cleaned it top to bottom, yippee!!! So we went out for chinese and it was lush. Out again on sat for my b'day and gonna see if my best bud and her fiance can come, also my mam and bro. Mam and bro had a discussion about whether or not DH and I are planning on having kids, Mam told him I was annoyed that it wasn't working and he said to relax or it'll never happen [cblush] It appears most of the family now know what's going on [chmm] fab. Anyway, nothing I can do about it now, he knows better than to bring it up.

Off for four days after today, yippee!!!

OP posts:
DuchessImps7ofCambridgeshire · 28/04/2011 09:15

Late it occurred to me with some horror on the way into work this morning that I didn't mean "abnormal" in my earlier post at all - I mean "unusual"!! "Abnormal" is the entirely wrong word to use on these threads and I'm really sorry [cblush]

I should also add that there are loads of charts on FF showing flat temps resulting in pregnancy - clearly not abnormal at all!

Josie - you need to give lessons in how to effectively hint - even saying "Please can you tidy up" is too subtle for my OH!

HRH - is KM doing to be Duchess of Cambridge?? She'll have to fight me for that one. Am sure I can take her.

Grumbler · 28/04/2011 09:55

I must ask though - all this talk of temperatures has got me wondering... do you think I should start? Or give it a couple of cycles before I get completely obsessed serious?

DuchessImps7ofCambridgeshire · 28/04/2011 11:10

I really enjoying temping Grumbler - it's interesting to see how your temp changes through your cycle and useful if you want to have a clearer idea of when you're likely to ovulate. Basal Body Thermometers don't cost very much and the basic membership of FF is free - so you could just try it to see how you get on.

The two most important things are to take your temps at pretty much the same time every morning, and to be consistent in how you take your temps - i.e. orally, fadgily or bummily (they suggested that as an option with the thermometer I bought - surely no one does that though, do they??!). I get much more consistent readings temping fadgily as oral temps can be affected by things such as breathing through your mouth when you sleep and drinking water during the night etc.

I don't think I'm going to bother with OPKs anymore - I don't think they were entirely accurate last cycle and with both temps and pant snot observation I think I have a pretty clear idea of when the shag fest needs to start without having an additional stick to pee on!

Petal26 · 28/04/2011 12:15

Thanks for the congrats everyone!
Doctor was really lovely this morning, very helpful, midwife appointment in a few weeks.

Fingers crossed you all get your BFP's soon Grin

HRHCaveMum · 28/04/2011 13:49

DuchessImps they need to give William a title before the wedding or Kate will have to be known as Princess William [chmm] she cannot be Princess Kate as only girls born into the Royal family can be Princesses (Diana was only ever Princess of Wales, not Princess Di).
One of the available titles is the Duchy of Cambridge (there are others but I can't remember them!) so they will give Wills a title tomorrow morning.
Wills will become Prince of Wales when Charles becomes King, so Kate will be Princess of Wales in due course.

[cgrin] [geek]

DuchessImps7ofCambridgeshire · 28/04/2011 14:01

Oh, I see Your Majesty - thanks for clearing that up!

Part of me really wishes Wills was marrying someone called Chardonnay or Mercedes or some other chavvy name (apologies to any Chardonnays or Mercedii reading this). Or, a really boring name like Brenda, or Barbara. Queen Brenda has a certain ring to it, doesn't it?

JosieSmith1 · 28/04/2011 15:02

[cgrin] Duchess

You certainly know your stuff HRH [cgrin] People at work were wondering if Kate'd be a princess so I will have to inform them (although I'll have to embellish where I got the info [cgrin])

Forgot to tell you all - I accidentally printed the whole of an MN thread at work yesterday [cblush] about 2 reams of paper came off and luckily I picked it all up before anyone else could and conveniently shoved it into the shredding bin [cblush] while lying about what it was cos there was so much of it! Wasteful I know but I couldn't do anything else!

OP posts:
Cloclo15 · 28/04/2011 17:03

Hi all, thought I'd drop by quickly. Trying not to think too much about ttc this cycle and so haven't been on much - I'm on cycle day 9 now so might start using ov sticks on Sunday.

Got referral letter through today and need to make an appt at the hospital but so totally do not want to go now - ive really got my head in the sand about those blood results and assuming it's all just fine and results taken at wrong time. Hubby says I've got to go though - what do you ladies think?

DuchessImps7ofCambridgeshire · 28/04/2011 19:21

Hello Cloclo - hope you're doing okay.

If I were you I probably would still go to the appt. On the off-chance that there is something that needs to be investigated a little further, you may end up kicking yourself that you didn't look into it now but waited, assuming everything was okay. On the other hand, if there's nothing wrong then it would be so reassuring to get confirmation of that from a consultant.

I can understand your reluctance, but there's no harm in going is there?

Good luck!

DreamingOfABump · 28/04/2011 21:20

cd21 and bored of having nothing to actually DO. No peeing on ovu sticks or furkling for mucus or luring husband to bed. Can't even get enthused about symptom spotting bacause i sort of dont believe you can actually get symptoms this early. The 2ww is BORING.

I need to get a life!

TomboyWife · 28/04/2011 22:14

Evening ladies!

And I found the cat! Hooray! [csmile] I just randomly saw her outside as I was coming home this evening. She's a bit sunburnt but otherwise seems absolutely fine.

No more leaving the back door open, I guess. She's not had trouble finding her way home before, but we've not been in our current place very long, and the back garden here is raised. If you climb over the wall, it's about a 6-foot drop on the other side and my guess is that she couldn't get back up.

Cloclo I'd say go to the appointment. As stressful as it is to confront the possibility of problems, surely it's better to know one way or the other? (Says the person who had blood taken on a duff cycle months and months ago, and still hasn't asked for the test to be repeated. Erm, do as I say, not as I do? [cblush] )

DH got a pg test today and I'll use it tomorrow morning. I see from the stats that I'm late if you go by my shorter cycles. (Wasn't actually sure as I was counting days from when I think I ov'ed.)
