late no symptoms might well be a good thing.

Thinking of you maybe xx

imps I think you needed Wine so don't worry.

Josie sorry you are so busy, but more horse riding is good! I amgoing on Wed hope to get some jumping in, have bought DH a lesson two and asked if he could be put on a very fat one Wink

LateToTheTTCParty · 07/04/2011 20:08

Ah Josie, my body is giving me absolutely nothing to obsess over, honestly, it's turning into a very dull 2ww! I'm actually feeling very chilled this time round, let's see what I'm like this time next wee when AF will be due in two days!

Imps I had two white wine spritzers last night & woke up with a bit of a temp hike too! (and a headache, I'm such a lightweight Blush

In the absence of One Born Every Minute I've got a bit into Lambibg Live Grin

LateToTheTTCParty · 07/04/2011 20:09

What is iPhone like?!
'Lambing Live' Smile

Imps7 · 08/04/2011 06:59

Oh I haven't managed to watch Lambing Live yet! I think it's a very decent OBEM replacement - it's all babies, innit? Grin

Another high temperature this morning...but we had friends over for the first BBQ of the season last night and I had far far too much to drink - so again, temp could be because of that! I haven't had two days in a row of a lot of Wine for ages and I really can't do it anymore - feel rough this morning. Thank god it's Friday - a nice dry weekend sounds like the way forward.

Josie sounds like a nightmare at work for you. Have you heard anything more about the job?

LateToTheTTCParty · 08/04/2011 07:20

Imps do you know what's supposed to happen with temps for the rest of the cycle? I was concentrating on the rise to identify if / when ov happened, but haven't really thought about what to keep an eye out for after the event - and in the absence of any other symptoms.... but not sure what I'm looking for! It hasn't dropped since ov and I have 8 days to go until I poas....

How's the EEERTD Cavemum?

Cloclo, spotted any symptoms?

Maybe, have you done any more poas?

Happy Friday everyone! Grin Wine (except for you Imps, you've clearly had enough, nothing stronger than a Brew for you Grin)

Imps7 · 08/04/2011 07:37

I think the temp stays quite high until the last few days of the cycle if you're not pg - if you're pg I think it stays high, like, forever? Hmm

Truff posted a link to her charts here - it's really interesting to compare her pg cycle to non-pg cycles. Truff if you're lurking - please don't think I'm some sort of stalker weirdo for looking at your charts - it's just that I don't have enough data for mine to be of interest yet!!

Cloclo15 · 08/04/2011 07:47

Hi Late, no symptom spotting yet, day 21 so not likely to have any yet seeing as I think I only ovulated on day 17. Going for blood test today to make sure I ovulated.

I have had an upset stomach for days now - really bloated as well, so not feeling great :( I don't think I'm pg this time for some reason. I never get to poas because I always start spotting before the opportunity occurs!

LateToTheTTCParty · 08/04/2011 07:58

Imps thanks for that - it is interesting to see a successful cycle compared to the others. It kind of looks like the temp starts to drop on or around 7dpo if not pg, and I'm on 6dpo today...

Good luck with the test Cloclo, hope it shows up that everything is doing what it should Wink. And hope your tummy trouble clears up

CaveMum · 08/04/2011 08:24

Morning all! ERTD is on her way out, finally! The first two days were the worst and poor DH got a fair old earbashing Blush

From my understanding of temps, you have to think of the rise in your temp as your body getting ready to bake your bean! Literally a bun in the oven! If the temp drops, the oven goes off. That's my wierd logic!

JosieSmith1 · 08/04/2011 08:31

Won't hear anything for about another 3 weeks Imps

Weimy poor DH getting a fat one Grin although I have to admit to seeing chunky cobs and thinking 'DH could ride that one' Grin

When and where is lambing live on? Can't watch OBEM but love the animal babies!

LateToTheTTCParty · 08/04/2011 09:15

Josie, it's been on all week, last ep tonight BBC2 9pm - you can watch the others on iPlayer. Sooooooo cute! Grin

Fingerscrossed1 · 08/04/2011 10:50

Thank crunchie it's Friday! Grin

Seems we're all getting into this temping lark. I'm temping and using OPK this month for the first time...well I've got those cheapo dip stick things...was someone doing a cheapy vs expensive test? Would be interesting to know whether there was much difference.

Fertility friend says I ovulated on Monday but the sticks showed a line (albeit faint, does this count?!) on Tuesday and Wednesday? Goodness me, who to believe?

I have cramps/pains this morning and it feels as though it is more on my left side...obviously this means I am now convincing myself that an egg is popping out as we speak which would make FF and the sticks wrong! This is madness!! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 08/04/2011 11:39

Fingerscrossed I'm convinced I felt my last egg pop out! I had really bad pains on my right side, really painful when I moved, then I swear I felt a big pop! The pain started easing after that. Totally convinced it was the egg.

Seeing as everything seems to be muddled up, temps, OPKs etc, the only answer is to SWI every day, all the time Grin

OP posts:
weimy · 08/04/2011 12:09

josie a fat one cos he keeps saying it looks easy, and laughs at my pain the next day Grin

Fingers I only get faint lines, I got lines tue, wed, thur and think I ov'd late last night judging from cramps. But my temp has not dipped much yet.

Cavemum glad ertd is nearly gone :)

Imps7 · 08/04/2011 12:50

I'm pretty sure that I ov'd on Wednesday, given the temp rise on Thurs and this morning - I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't feel anything! Had slightly tender nips and very very faint ERTD cramps on Weds, but it may well have been in my imagination.

I had very faint lines on my cheapo OPK dipsticks ( these ones ) on Sunday and Wednesday, but much stronger lines on Monday and Tuesday. Does the LH disappear/reduce on day of ovulation does anyone know?

I guess there's a very small chance of being pg this cycle - we SWI'd on Saturday afternoon, 4 days before OV. I'm not particularly worried if not though, having already come to terms with missing the boat (well, egg) this month.

Who's going to be BBQing this weekend? I am!!! BRING IT ON!!

Fingerscrossed1 · 08/04/2011 13:08

I'm having a BBQ tonight too! Whoop!

They're the sticks that I've been using Imps but only seem to get faint lines Hmm Will keep trying with them I think.

Imps7 · 08/04/2011 13:16

I think faint must be okay - they definitely don't show anything at all when they're negative.

Enjoy your BBQ!

Cloclo15 · 08/04/2011 13:21

I just use clearblue digital tests - they aren't as expensive on amazon as in Boots and you get a definite smiley face when LH surge detected. I just stop testing then and assume ov will prob happen the next day because I test in the morning, only use 4 or 5 per cycle so two packs last for three cycles. I just didn't want the stress of comparing the lines - is that blue line really as dark as that one etc

Blood test was this morning, the docs will phone if any major abnormalities i.e. I haven't ovulated or something, otherwise I will prob go back in a week when period will be here or at least I will know it is starting soon.

maybebabyR · 08/04/2011 13:53

Afternoon everyone!

Glad ERTD is buggering off cavemum

late I have been very good and stepped away from the sticks. Went and had a mammoth gym session this morning instead Smile

Still no AF...

JosieSmith1 · 08/04/2011 14:04

Imps I have images of little eggs floating down fallopian tubes on paper boats with paper hats on Grin

OP posts:
weimy · 08/04/2011 16:06

I use those sticks too, might go for smiliey face ones next month.

CaveMum · 08/04/2011 16:35

If any of you fancy joining in, I've got a Grand National Sweepstake thread running here.

17 spots left!

LateToTheTTCParty · 08/04/2011 20:21

Fingers is was me doing the cheapo v expensive experiment - conclusion was that both tested positive for the LH surge on the same day, but the Boots sticks had a feint line the day before so were probably a little more sensitive. I think it's not beyond the realms of possibility that you did indeed feel yourself ovulating - the LH surge is detected 24-48 hours before you ov, so if that happened on Wed then you could be ovulating today. FF sounds like it's a bit off....

I definitely felt myself ov-ing this month - I never thought I was one of those people who could tell, but maybe when you're on hyper-alert you notice things more. Mine was on the right side and was about 36-hours after both opk tests picked up the surge.

Hope you're enjoying the BBQ, it's a lovely evening! DH & I have just been on a 'date' to Jamie's Italian and sat outside, al fresco dining, yeah!

Maybe, you go girl, be strong! I have promised myself not to do any early poas this month & save myself the stress of an early bfn Wink Having said that, I hope you get some kind of resolution soon.

Still no symptoms from me - thought I maybe had a little bit of mild cramping this afternoon, but it's too early for AF (although that didn't stop her in Feb) and it's gone now... You can tell I'm clutching at straws here, can't you! Grin
Roll on 16 April!

raspberrytipple · 09/04/2011 09:49

Girls,

I'm freaking out about wedding stuff! Just been reading on one of the wedding threads about how crap they all think the one poor girls timetable is for the day and it's spooked me about mine. Could you let me know what you think?
thread

Our other option is to invite evening people from 7.00 p.m. then do a curry for everyone at 7.30 p.m. That would mean a hot meal for the family who had been with us all day. Our current cater could do that and she still does a salad/rice/pasta and pudding to go with it so it's still within budget. Eeeeeek! What do you think? Help!!!

TomboyWife · 09/04/2011 13:12

raspberry we went to a wedding a few weeks ago that was lovely -- except for an hour when the caterers had some sort of snarl-up and couldn't feed people. We'd all been seated for dinner and the canapes had gone away, but then we didn't get served for a very long time. People were definitely getting cranky...

I would say plan to have food of some description available all the time (be it canapes or whatever), and you should be fine.

(I haven't seen your proposed schedule so I'm guessing as to what it is/what you're worried about, so ignore me if the above is irrelevant.)
