Grin a bit of early-morning SWI anyone? Grin
DH is taking this ever so seriously, I do hope I actually ov otherwise I'll be letting the side down!

Cloclo15 · 01/04/2011 06:58

Still no positive opk this morning on day 14 :( hope it is soon, at least over the weekend!

LateToTheTTCParty · 01/04/2011 07:36

Hang in there Cloclo, it will come but maybe just a bit later than you're expecting. What's your usual cycle length?

Cloclo15 · 01/04/2011 07:46

Around 29 days but last month it was 25 and I ov'd on day 16 which meant I had a very short luteal phase. Was very stressed last month so hoped that might have messed it up. Really want to ov tomorrow or next day then have my normal cycle length. I am going for blood tests next week to check progesterone levels (day 21) but am worried I will have hardly ov'd!

Anyway OH got me a spa day for my birthday so I can go and get lots of treatments and relax, I just need to stop thinking about it! Was doing really well this month but negativity starting to creep in :/

Imps7 · 01/04/2011 09:24

Ha ha late you go girlfriend! Always a nice way to start the day Grin

May be worth another test when you get home CloClo just in case it really is too early for the LH to do whatever it is it needs to do to show up on tests. Keep you chin up and tell those negative feelings to eff off!

JosieSmith1 · 01/04/2011 10:11

Getting cramps today so have lost hope for this cycle again. Gonna throw myself into the move to try and take my mind off it Sad And I'm on my own at work today so it's likely to be absolutely manic so I won't have time to think about it

CloClo I had nothing until day 15, on a regular 28 day cycle, so hang on in there. Enjoy the spa.

Girls can someone please kipper me. Seriously, multiple kippers needed. Opened facer (i know, I know) this morning to find one of DP's mates (a male) had changed his status to 'xxxxx is pregnant'! I instantly burst into tears and had to text DP who is ignoring me. It's an april fool and I knew it would be but I still cried :( WTF? So I text his girlfriend and said 'are you really pg - how am I going to fit a pg lady in a canoe for my hen do'.....so now see the joke in it but it just caught me off guard. Like I say, kipper at the ready plzz.

Josie sorry to hear you are cramping hun, good idea to get stuck into the move. I've used the wedding for my 'take your mind off it' material the last couple of ERTDs, still horrible for a few days when you know it's on its way. When will you hear about the job?

ohhhhh cloclo15 spa day! Very nice. I've been badgering DP to take me for a spa weekend for years and this year he gave in and said I could book the hotel I wanted only to find we were too busy in the lead up to Christmas to fit it in! Gutted but will cash it back in around the wedding in August I think :)

Late you little minx! lol. Never been a fan of morning shaggin myself but well, you have to do your duty sometimes and it usually ends up being quite good because I turn into a pillow princess while he does all the work!

Fingers crossed ERTD arrives soon cavemum!!!

I'm now 4 days past ov and imagining allsorts, trouble is the drugs the doctor put me on are making my taste funny and making me fell a little sick too. My boobs however are hurting and very hot and I've been having ERTD bad back/thighs type feeling although it's gone off today. This could be a long tww!!! x

LateToTheTTCParty · 01/04/2011 13:17

Raspberry, consider yourself kippered, take THAT! Grin Now, take a moment and pull yourself together. (Tell me, what do very hot boobs feel like?)

ToriaPumpkinHead · 01/04/2011 15:46

Raspberry My younger cousin did that this morning! Not impressed with her til I figured it out. Apparently she also told her mum (by text) that she'd broken her arm and got no response!

Brew and Biscuit for everyone.

JosieSmith1 · 01/04/2011 16:17

Won't find out about the job for about 4 weeks [grumpy face]

I am in a complete blind panic. Another yard, the one I originally wanted to go to, just text me and said they have built me a stable! I had no idea they were doing that! So, do I stick to my original plan for tomorrow (the one that's stressing me out) or do I go somewhere which will cost me a bit more (and I was looking forward to the extra spendable money each month) but I can guarantee we'll be happy. Tbh we've pretty much made our minds up Grin just feel awful letting down the place we're supposed to be going to tomrrow! Much less stress all around though. I've been waiting for this opportunity for 6 months, I'm over the moooooooooooooonn!!!!!!!!!! GrinGrinGrin

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 01/04/2011 16:18

Sorry Raspberry, it was bound to upset you, joke or not. It's pretty insensitive tbh. It was probably the shock that upset you too (hugs, and a kipper for good measure) Grin

OP posts:
Cloclo15 · 01/04/2011 16:28

I've decided I am going to wait till tomorrow now - I can't go more than a couple of hours without a cup of tea or a wee during the day so prob wouldn't get a result now anyway! Will test again in the morning.
Glad you are happy with the other option Josie, letting people down is never fun but you have to do what is right for you in the end.

JosieSmith1 · 01/04/2011 16:56

I feel really guilty CloClo but I know where my heart lies, and besides, DH is going to ring them and let them down gently Blush I'm such a wimp Grin I told them on the phone earlier that I was worried so hopefully she'll just be happy that we've found somewhere she's going to be happy. And she'll be living next door to her little great nephew, who's now bigger than her, and she really missed him when he left, she'll be so happy

Hope it works tomorrow Cloclo

Day 15 and opk still not showing even a hint of fertility yet :( starting to get a bit stressed out about it - day 15 was when it showed last cycle

TomboyWife · 02/04/2011 10:04

Morning ladies!

raspberry I think people 'announcing' pregnancies for an April Fool's joke might find themselves still setting people straight months later. Consider yourself kippered, but I bet karma will pay the jokers back massively in the form of inconvenience and embarrassment. Grin

Deep breaths Cloclo. I'm sure something will turn up very soon.

CD24 for me, and I've got sore boobs a-go-go, plus metal mouth off and on, and I was weirdly uninterested in drinking alcohol last night. The metal mouth seems most obvious after I've had a cuppa. Anyone else had that, or am I just weird?

LateToTheTTCParty · 02/04/2011 10:58

Cloclo, I didn't ovulate at all last month - my opk strips didn't pick anything up the whole way through, and my cycle was longer than usual - 33 days. Not really sure why (I think I had a 'near miss' the month before which messed things up a bit) but this month has been absolutely text-book. Last month I was totally stressing out about not ovulating and quite a few people posted that they have anovulatory months periodically, or have heard of it happening. It's probably something that just happens every now and again but it's only when you're looking out for it that you notice it. You may not get it this month, but it doesn't mean you'll never ov again Smile

Imps, temp rose by 1 degree this morning, is that enough to signal ov has happened do you think? We SWI-ed again this morning, I think we've done all we can for this month, let the agonising 2ww begin! Grin

LateToTheTTCParty · 02/04/2011 10:59

Tomboy - interesting symptoms, fx for you!

Imps7 · 02/04/2011 20:47

Oooh Late how exciting re: the temp rise!! 1 deg sounds like a lot - I think that it means you've OVd if it stays that high for 3 days?? It sounds like you've both put a lot of effort in this month - well done

LateToTheTTCParty · 02/04/2011 22:03

Imps, it's a degree F, not C, got a stupid F thermometer off Amazon, didn't think to check before I bought it. I think it equates to about 0.5C rise... Have been drinking some lovely French Wine tonight so maybe that will send my temp soaring tomorrow am! Grin

weimy · 02/04/2011 22:26

Been at a moderators conference since thurs, very stressful first time as an assistant principal!

Am drinking Wine now and checking up on you all! Goodluck with the move josie sorry about the cramps.

fx for a speedy ertd cavemum

late look for a 3 rises in a row and you will know :)

cloclo Opks not always reliable, keep swi incase tho and if your not lucky this month try temping maybe?

tomboy fx Grin

Sorry if I have missed anyone leading a room of 37 teachers has mashed my head a bit!!!

Cloclo15 · 02/04/2011 23:04

Thanks everyone, I am supposed to have tests on Friday but think I might have to call the docs on Monday to see if it's still ok to have them then as I have had no signs of ov yet.

I did buy a thermometer for this month but decided not to start using it as I wanted to take my mind off trying for a couple of weeks (which I did until I started opks!). Might use it next month, not sure yet.

Been out for a lovely birthday meal tonight so at least I'm feeling happy and content this evening - back to worrying tomorrow!

Cloclo15 · 03/04/2011 08:36

Yay! Day 16 and a positive! :) time to get down to business...

Imps7 · 03/04/2011 09:18

Hurrah Cloclo!! Have fun Wink

LateToTheTTCParty · 03/04/2011 09:35

Great news Cloclo, what a nice birthday present!
Enjoy your Sunday Grin

Imps7 · 03/04/2011 09:57
