Morning everyone, just a quick hello as I'm shadowing another member of staff today in preparation for my job application so won't be on here today

I finally got some good news yesterday - can move my horse to a new yard finally! I've been trying to get off my current yard since about October so I'm really happy. I'm nervous too Grin did you expect anything else from me Grin Anyway, we're going for another look around tomorrow then we're moving on monday

Hope everyone has lovely mondays

No news here - no sign of AF, but POAS yesterday and BFN. Temperatures are still high, but I think it's most likely I ov'd late this month (my chart's a bit confusing).

My legs are soooo sore! I did a 36-mile hike yesterday, and could barely get out of bed this morning :(

LateToTheTTCParty · 28/03/2011 09:55

Shame St4rfish Sad

Fingerscrossed OPKs are helpful to detect your LH surge which comes 24-36 hours before you ov. It doesn't tell you if you actually do ov though which is where the thermometer comes in. When you get your OPK sticks / strips it will have a chart showing when to start testing based on your cycle length.

Grin Imps, I'm with you! I've been doing my temp for 8 days now, and according to my P-Tracker app I am Officially Fertile from today! Just loving all this data collection Blush. So starting to use the opk strips as well from tonight. Predicting LH surge on Thurs / Fri with OV Day on Saturday... I am doing my Expensive v Cheapo Experiment this month as well so will let you know if there's a difference in the results from the Amazon Special Price ones or Boots Wink

DH is bravely putting his disappointment at not securing an iPad2 aside and is fully revved-up for a weeks of SWI (he even said no to it last night to reserve the good-quality swimmers for Fertile Day One, so sweet!)

I had a bit of a wobble last week, got myself completely wound up and strung out. I talked myself into believing that this cycle was a failure before it had even begun, that I'm too old and I'm not actually laying any eggs any more, that DH is firing blanks... you name it! I had to give myself a good talking to, it was probably post-ERTD hormones but I was really quite upset Blush
All's ok now, I feel quite in control of this cycle (who am I kidding) compared to the last two where all sorts of strange things were going on. Smile

Imps7 · 28/03/2011 10:13

Molly your temps look quite positive (ooh get me, the expert after 6 days of temp charting Grin) - hopefully BFN just meant that you POAS too soon.

Will be really interested to know the posh -v- cheapo outcome late - am very much hoping that cheapo works! Don't lose heart with this - it's not too late for you at all.

My OH really has got his heart set on becoming a dad now - when he came to bed last night he was really stressed out and worried - it turns out that he'd eaten too much dinner and really couldn't bring himself to SWI - he was really upset with himself!!! Bless his little heart Grin. I had to reassure him that it's too soon in this cycle for me to be fertile yet and he calmed right down. Oh, he's such a lovely chap.

Right, best crack on with work then.

LateToTheTTCParty · 28/03/2011 10:17

Grin at Mr Imps

weimy · 28/03/2011 11:23

Sorry about ERTDs :)

Mr Imps sounds lovely!!!

maybebabyR · 28/03/2011 12:33

Afternoon everyone

Sorry about ERTDs, rubbish.

No news for me, no AF, but POA (poundland)S this morning and BFN. Felt very sick last night. DH joking I must have night sickness rather than morning, as have felt like that 2 nights in a row Grin

Cloclo15 · 28/03/2011 15:51

Getting closer to mid-cycle now for me, going to start opk testing on Wednesday - I really hope I have a more normal cycle this month and have longer than 9-10 days between ov and flow arriving. Last month was hectic and really horrible so I'm hoping that's the reason it all went a bit wrong. I'm trying to be much calmer this month and separate myself from work a bit. Anyone else using opk?

Becs19 · 28/03/2011 17:13

Hi everyone,

Sorry to hear abour everyones ERTDs.Sad

My first AF post the pill started this morning which I'm actually really pleased about! It means my body has kick started back into action and I'll now have some idea when I'm gonna ovulate etc. So I am now officially on my first cycle of TTC and off on my honeymoon in 3 weeks - YAY!

I have ordered some extra cheap POAS from Amazon so am prepared for the next few months of SWI. It'd be great if I could be added to the not counting list as gonna just see what happens for the first couple of months.

Lets hope this is lucky month for everyone!

JosieSmith1 · 29/03/2011 11:55

Well I'm close to giving up on my new job app Sad I asked the team manager to look through my application form and her first words were 'do you really want this job?' so now I feel like she doesn't think I'm capable! Deep down I feel I am but my confidence has been shattered, which obviously isn't too hard at the moment. I want to cry, again. I can't think when I'm writing app forms or in interviews so I'm going to end up making a fool of myself like I did in the last one and then I feel like a total tit and be stuck in this bloody job forever Angry

OP posts:
raspberrytipple · 29/03/2011 12:35

Oh my lord Josie that is awful! What a horrible thing to say - she could have at least given you some supportive or constructive feedback, that's just nasty. As long as you've been clear about why you want the job and could do it then that should be fine. When does it have to be in? Perhaps leave it a day then go back with fresh eyes or ask a friend to have a look through it? Just ignore the team manager, she cant be much of a manager if that's the attitude she's taking. (((((hugs)))))

weimy · 29/03/2011 14:21

Good news becs!

Fx maybe

I'm using opks cloclo I start testing from day 8.

Josie, raspberry's advice is good, check it over after a break/get someone else to look. And then hand it in, you will not make a fool of yourself she is just unprofessional. Angry

JosieSmith1 · 29/03/2011 16:47

Thanks Raspberry and Weimy, because I don't usually challenge myself to do things like this I keep having crisis of confidence and convincing myself that I can't do it but I'm definitely going to go for it because I'll regret it if I don't. Everyone says the manager must have been joking but I'm 99.9% sure she wasn't. I've asked a friend in the service to have a look for me cos I've re-written it now. It's gotta be in by Thursday though! Anyway, usually when people say I can't do something I go out and do it anyway so that's the attitude I'm going to adopt. My friends have faith in me so I'm going to make them proud Grin I just wrote gin instead of grin Shock freudian slip methinks Grin

OP posts:
CaveMum · 29/03/2011 18:35

Josie you show them girl!

No news from me, I finish my tablets on Thursday and then it is await the arrival of ERTD before phoning the hospital.

In other news, I've just been sneaking a peak at the Grads thread and see that Halo's waters broke yesterday! No word from her since so I hope she has a snuggly little person to cuddle up with now!

TomboyWife · 29/03/2011 21:12

Evening ladies, were ba-ack! from America. It was a lovely holiday, but by the end of it I was ready to come home and sleep in my own bed again.

If I ov'ed on the day I think I did, I'm about 8 dpo now. I've got some good sore boob action going, which I guess is a hopeful sign. Grin

Sorry and Wine to those recently visited by ERTD. The thread seems to be cycle-synchronising again.

Josie I wonder if your manager picked up on your own self-doubts and just reflected them back at you. In which case, ignoring her and go out and do it anyway. Wink

TomboyWife · 29/03/2011 21:15

Oops, "ignore her", not "ignoring her". I blame jet lag. Grin

CaveMum · 30/03/2011 07:01

Morning all! Great news from the Grads thread - Haloflo had a baby girl, Hannah, yesterday Grin

raspberrytipple · 30/03/2011 07:14

Yayee I did see. I'm of work poorly at the mo with a chest infection and spent nearly all day watching women give birth on mybirth.tv I've run out of films now though so it may have to be a Jeremy Kyle/this morning kind of day :(

Imps7 · 30/03/2011 07:26

Welcome back!! Glad you had a lovely time - I know exactly what you mean about getting back to your own bed though! Are you feeling refreshed or do you feel like you need another holiday to recover from this one?!

Poor you raspberry - I hate being off sick, I get sooo bored. Daytime tv is rubbish and there's never a film that I fancy watching. Hope you feel better soon.

Josie, I agree with others - ignore your boss lady! Feel the fear and do it anyway, that's what I always say. You'll be proud of yourself even if you don't get the job on this occasion.

Nice to hear news of a safe arrival Cavemum even if I don't know who Halo is! Hannah's a lovely name - it would be on my list (err, ahem, if I had a list that is, which I definitely definitely do don't Blush) but it doesn't go with the surname sadly.

Right I have a busy day ahead so I'd best get up.

Cloclo15 · 30/03/2011 09:18

Started testing with opk this morning - day 12 and negative, but we've been covering all bases by getting plenty of action in this week anyway! Hoping I'll get a positive in a few days and don't ovulate really late again. Feeling much more chilled this month anyway

JosieSmith1 · 30/03/2011 10:10

Glad to hear Halo had a safe arrival

Fingers crossed for Smile soon Cloclo

Thanks everyone for your support, I'm waiting to hear back from my friend who's looking it over so will let you know soon! I'm definitely going to put it in no matter how much self-doubt I have, then if I don't get an interview at least I tried and didn't back out like I usually do, and if I DO get an interview, then I will poop myself but give it my bestest best shot Grin

OP posts:
Imps7 · 30/03/2011 16:33

Good luck with the OPKs Cloclo! Not sure if you tested with early morning urine, but I understand that it's better to test late morning/early afternoon to give the luteinising (sp?) hormone time to develop...or something... I've been having a nightmare at working trying to sneak my dipstick and a suitable wee-catching receptacle into the loos! Am having to plan it with military precision so that no one sees what I'm up to!!

Any more news Josie?

Cloclo15 · 30/03/2011 16:41

Hi Imps

The ones I'm using are clearblue digital and they say that first morning urine is ok - there is just no other time when I wont have had a drink for several hours, and I definitely can't do it at work - school toilets are rancid!

Imps7 · 30/03/2011 16:49

*nightmare at work (not working!)

Imps7 · 30/03/2011 16:50

Ha ha yes, the thought of POAS in school toilets is not at all tempting!!
