Congrats to the BFPs that have appeared in my absence.

Officially on a break now until my next consultant visit in June.

Found out one of my oldest friends is pregnant midweek. Really happy for her, didn't seem to affect me the way I thought it might, my mum was more down about it than me (my mum friends with friends mum), she wants to have some UK grandchildren.

Keeping ourselves busy trying to sort out buying a house so have replaced stress of TTC with housebuying stress!

LateToTheTTCParty · 20/03/2011 14:42

Congrats somebeans, great news!

In other news ERTD has arrived! Right out of the blue, and funnily enough I don't feel gutted about not being pg, just relieved to know where things are up to and all ready to get going on the next cycle Grin

congrats somebeans!

sorry late

glad your ride went well josie

Imps7 · 20/03/2011 19:13

Hello!

Brilliant stuff Somebeans - this thread just keeps on giving those BFPs doesn't it? Great news!

Pleased that ERTD has had the courtesy to put in an appearance Late - at least you know where you are now. At least you can look forward to the cycle 4 shag fest!

Hope you've all had nice weekends - mine has been very chilled out in the garden and visiting friends for Sunday lunch. I'm still getting BFNs - AF due Thursday-ish and am probably about 12 or so DPO so still early days. Not sure why I'm testing tbh - I know we got the timing wrong thanks to OH's trip abroad - I think it's just something to make the TWW go a bit faster!

Glad to hear you're having a lovely time Tomboy. I'm not Envy at all. Not at all, you understand. Well, okay, maybe a tiny bit.

Have a nice evening everyone. Anything good on telly tonight?

Cloclo15 · 20/03/2011 19:33

Hi there, can I join?

I've just signed up to mumsnet, and we've been trying to conceive since December - so this is cycle 5 and I'm on Day 2 today. My average cycle is about 29 days but just had a short one. I'm 28, 29 in just under 2 weeks and hubby is nearly 31.

I used an opk for the first time this month and found I started spotting only a week later, with period 3 days after that so feeling a bit worried about this - anyone else got a 10 day luteal phase? Is that alright? I read somewhere it had to be at least 12?

raspberrytipple · 20/03/2011 19:47

Evening all,
Wow this is some thread Josie! Gotta be a record I reckon for the frollickers.

Imps7 sorry to hear ERTD is playing you up and not appearing but still giving BFNs but it aint over til the fat red bitch sings I like to think!!!

Karstan good luck with house buying - me and DP tried to buy a house about 4 years ago, got our fingers burned with a crappy mortgage and pulled out last minute, so glad we did but my god it's a scary business having to get on the ladder now!

Josie so glad you are feeling a bit better! Hopefully sperm and egg will have a super date and all will be well!!!

Sorry you've had a bit of a rough ride lately Tomboy, ERTD can be a complete cow bag sometimes :(

Hello to everyone else and especially those who've got their BFPs!!!

No news from me really but I've started peeing on the CBFM, well on the sticks anyway, it's only asked for them for the last few days so will see how I get on! Just had a nice weekend away so feeling nicely chilled although work is a complete shitter at the moment, so stressed with it, it's driving me mad and just wish I could leave. Pinning my hopes on ML which I know I shouldn't do!

Good to see more Frollickers piling into the three follicles! Hopefully more Wine than Brew will be consumed!!

Hi everyone,

Can I join in? Just been reading through all the posts and desperately trying to learn all these new acronyms!

DH and I have just started TTC and so I'm just getting to grips with working all these days out! I'm 29, and really nervous and excited.

I'm not sure of all the numbers yet, but I'm on cycle 1 and CD14, but not sure of UCL as only just off the pill.

It's great to hear everyone's stories :)

Congratulations to all the people with BFPs. I'm hoping some of this goodluck rubs off on me in the coming months.

I had a manic weekend driving from one end of the country to the other. Spent the time with my family. Both my sisters have 2 children under 3 so it was a little bit hectic. Managed to avoid the questions on whether we are going for a honeymoon baby and think I got away with it by being non commital!

I'm just waiting for the first ERTD after coming off the pill - fingers crossed it doesn't take too long to arrive!

Hope everyone had a good weekend x

CaveMum · 20/03/2011 21:53

Evening all! Honestly, I go away for a few days and we get another BFP!!!

Congratulations somebeans

Well I'm back from my weekend at my parents. I've ordered myself a few books on PCOS so am looking forward to reading up on my new found condition! It also seems that following a low GI diet can help with PCOS so I'm going to look into that in more detail. I'm by no means overweight, but I have put on some weight since coming off the Pill and I've always found it hard to shift weight, more classic PCOS symptoms.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

CaveMum · 20/03/2011 21:54

Sorry, meant to say hi to all the newbies too [waves]

phooey · 21/03/2011 07:49

Big congratulations somebeans , amazing stuff!!

Hope you are being treated like royalty Smile

St4rfish · 21/03/2011 08:06

Morning everyone - hope we all had relaxing weekends where we weren't tempted to POAS far too early (er....that would be me then)

What advice do people have for testing early - is it just the route to madness? I have convinced myself its possible that I am pregnant (despite no sign of what I have seen on here described as an implantation bleed). AF is due Friday. I am guessing you are all going to tell me to calm down and wait til then? (she says, clinging desperately to hope that someone will shout "test! test!")

By the way - congratulations somebeans!

PS - Josie can you add me to the next updated list? TTC#1, Cycle 1, UCL 28, CD25

CaveMum · 21/03/2011 08:29

Starfish, in all honesty testing early is a surefire route to madness! Despite their claims "early" HPTs are shockingly unreliable - someone on MN put up some research stats that showed that even 11 days after ovulation only about 65% of pregnant women will get a correct result!

I know it is easier said than done, but try to wait until at least the day that your period is due. If you've ovulated late for some reason that may still be too early!

One of our lovely Frolickers took the route of peeing on a used HPT so that she got the urge out of her system! Just think of the money you can save!

CaveMum · 21/03/2011 08:30

Apologies, stupid iPhone corrected your name St4rfish!

Petal26 · 21/03/2011 08:56

Morning everyone!

Congratulations Daiso and Somebeans Smile

Thought I'd check in as I'm top of the list (prob not for long!)

Speaking of early testing Cavemum... I have done 5 in the last week, eek! I don't really have a UCL, it can be anything between 28 and 31, so was just hoping but they have all been BFN's, boo.
It was 28 days last month so will just have to wait and see...

Petal26 · 21/03/2011 09:08

On another note...

REALLY want to buy this in Yellow but don't want to jinx anything by storing things in the back of the wardrobe before anything has happened!

www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1325628

(shakes head and slinks into corner as she realises she is not pregnant and should not be looking at maternity clothes!) Blush

St4rfish · 21/03/2011 09:57

Oh dear Petal, you have opened up a whole new world for me...it's such a bargain, it would be criminal not to purchase, right?

(spends next 10 minutes work avoiding and googling Mama Mio products)

Becs19 · 21/03/2011 12:00

I'm the same as you st4rfish on the testing front (did 2 earlier last week). Have been feeling squeamish now for 6 days but due to not even knowing when my AF is due have no idea about testing. Has anyone tried going to the doctor or family planning clinic for a blood test? How early do the blood tests show anything up?

I know it probably nothing but having felt weird for nearly a week now so would like something to happen that just confirm it one way or the other Confused.

Have managed to stop myself from using the links to maternity clothes Shock. Not sure how long I'll be able to resist tho Grin

Truffkin · 21/03/2011 12:11

Just popping in to encourage you not to test early if you can (I know easier said than done!) I always felt that seeing a BFN felt much more upsetting than ERTD arriving, so I stopped myself from doing it after a couple of months driving myself crazy. It also saved me a small fortune that I have now spent on pee sticks to constantly confirm my BFP

Oh yes, I bought more HPTs after I got my BFP and had already peed on 3! Blush In fact I think I'll be peeing on them until I get a 12 week scan (or until I start puking, whichever comes first!)

weimy · 21/03/2011 12:21

hey truff !

10 dpo and I am trying my hardest not to poas Hmm
