Thanks everyone, Its good to have confirmation of what I was thinking and not think I'm going completely mad. The whole symptom spotting thing is going to be difficult to resist!

The plan is to hopefully have ERTD (I think thats the right acronym - am well confused) in the next couple of weeks and then be clear to SWI while on our honeymoon in April. Fingers crossed my hormones behave and it works - best laid plans and all that Grin!

This weekend I am driving 240 miles down to my family as it is my nephews christening. Should be good but there will be a large number of small people about which is always manic!

cookiemoo · 18/03/2011 15:04

Just a quick hello from me!!
wondered if whoever updates the list next can change me to CD1, cycle 27 here goes again :(

somebeans · 18/03/2011 15:31

Am also going to watch the rugby on Sat (and take advantage of my BFN by drinking some well-earned Wine) then my parents and father-in-law coming for dinner on Sunday.

Big hello to St4rfish, welcome to the fun.

MollyDefoe · 18/03/2011 15:35

Pretty quiet weekend for me: have done loads of travelling for work recently, so am I really looking forward to a lazy one at home. Going for Thai food and film (Adjustment Bureau - anyone seen it?) tonight; then dinner with friends tomorrow night; and in the meantime I really need to catch up on some admin and general reading for work. And I suppose I should do some exercise too Wink...

phooey · 18/03/2011 15:56

Late crossing fingers and toes your DH is right about the cheapo tests!

TFI Friday everyone - I am on way home from work armed with shopping: beer, wine, milk, bacon and rolls Grin I have friends staying this weekend so planning evening in followed by mild hangover - you could've guessed from my shopping.

I can sense a weird cycle of 2 weeks of making the most of BFN, followed by 2 weeks of clean living coming up until I get my glittery BFP!

phooey · 18/03/2011 15:59

Becs I don't want to get your hopes up for this month, but apparently you're super-fertile the month after coming off the Pill Smile

St4rfish · 18/03/2011 16:04

Thanks for the welcome! I'm off to the MIL's for the weekend so unlikely I'll be seeing any bedroom action Blush...See you all on Monday!

JosieSmith1 · 19/03/2011 07:38

Sounds like everyone has good boozy weekends planned Grin

Welcome St4rfish, maybe you can have a stealth shag at MiLs Grin

Well, this morning, finally, OPK said Smile so tonight we will be doing the dirty Grin I am getting my hair cut short again this morning so super sexy new hair will have to help me seduce him tonight. Seeing as my cycles are very regular, the chances are that I ov this late in my cycle every time, whih means we've been doin it far too early to catch ov. Now that I know it's about now, we can hopeflly do it at the right time to make a BFP this cycle!!!! (jumps around the living room rather too excitedly) Grin

Have lovely weekends everyone

TomboyWife · 19/03/2011 13:51

Hello ladies, and greetings from America!

Just a drive-by post to say hi to everyone and make you Envy by telling you what a lovely and relaxing holiday we're having.

Welcome to all the newcomers! It's great to see the thread perking up again after a bit of a lull.

And congrats to Daiso on your BFP! I do reserve the right to think it's massively unfair that you succeeded first time though. Grin

MollyDefoe · 19/03/2011 14:12

Hi tomboy - thanks for the welcome! Whereabouts in America are you? Am indeed jealous (although have recently got back from a tour of Australia, Hong Kong, the Lake District, and Glasgow, so I can't really complain...!).

This is my first 2ww, and it's driving me insane already! Am semi-fabricating all sorts of symptoms: have had mild cramps and a dull ache (similar to how it felt having a coil in) for the last 3 days. Am 7dpo - it's way too early to be able to feel anything, right?

LateToTheTTCParty · 19/03/2011 17:28

BFN from both cheapo strip and expensive 'proper' stick, trouble is I'm seven days late and there's still no sign of ERTD either... Confused

weimy · 19/03/2011 17:29

It still might just be too soon, fx xx

LateToTheTTCParty · 19/03/2011 19:52

Do you think? How late can it go before it will show up on a pg test?

weimy · 19/03/2011 19:57

I'm sure people have said they have been more than a week late before they got a BFP.

CaveMum · 19/03/2011 22:06

Late it all depends when you ovulated. If for some reason you ovulated late this month then you may not technically be late yet. The luteal phase (the 2ww) is always the same length, about 14 days.

It is also possible to have false negative tests. Several ladies on here have negative tests for several weeks before a BFP showed up. If ERTD doesn't show up within the next week or so you can ask your GP for a blood test.

Truffkin · 19/03/2011 22:48

Cave makes a good point, do you know when you ovulated? That would help you to know how far past conception you could potentially be if there is still no sign of ERTD. I don't think anyone would blame you for going to see your GP next week and asking for a blood test. If nothing else, you'll be a week and a half late and be able to start conversations about why ERTD ha gone AWOL if nothing else!

Tomboy glad you are having such a great time!

LateToTheTTCParty · 19/03/2011 23:46

Thanks for the advice ladies, I was testing for ovulation for quite a while with some ov strips and didn't pick anything up, so I'm assuming I haven't actually laid an egg at all this month... It's all a bit strange, I've always been regular as clockwork until we started TTC in Jan, now things are all over the place Sad. Hey ho, just got to keep waiting I suppose...

TomboyWife · 20/03/2011 02:27

Late if your cycle is anything like mine, an anovulatory month can drag on and on and on. I've been 8 days late a couple of times when I was pretty sure I hadn't popped an egg.

But as others say, it's still possible you're up the duff and not yet producing enough HCG to show up on a test.

LateToTheTTCParty · 20/03/2011 09:50

You're absolutely right Tomboy (and weimy, Cave and Truff), it ain't over until AF starts singing, and I can't even hear her doing her scales yet Wink

I have absolutely no way of knowing anything, having done all the tests I can. I'm just going to have to wait it out. If nothing has changed by next Sat (when I'll be 14 days late) then I'll go & see the doctor.

I've only been logging my period start & stop dates in my P-Tracker app for the last year. Only started op sticks since we started ttc in Jan, and only took my temp for the first time this morning with my shiny new thermometer Smile, so I haven't got a lot of recorded data to compare...

Truff, how's the view up there from Cloud 9?! Grin

Daiso · 20/03/2011 10:10

Morning all!!

tomboy glad you are having fun and you are def allowed to think its unfair - I still can't believe it myself! Don't feel much different really but then I am only 4+4.

For what its worth - I got a BFP on FR a week ago today and then a BFP (a faint one!) on Tues on FR and a "Pregnant 1-2wks" on CBD so for those not getting yet but AF not due, its worth waiting.

Hello to newcomers - wishing everyone lots of luck

somebeans · 20/03/2011 11:52

Hi all,

Well, caved in and tested on Saturday (obviously) which would be 11DPO... BFN (or was there a TINY FAINT LINE?)

Bought a CBD twin pack immediately and POAS again...... the cold-hearted "not pregnant" appeared :)

Woke up this morning, thought "well, I know the other one's in the draw so I may as well" and

BFP! "Pregnant 1-2"!

Early days but Fx........

MollyDefoe · 20/03/2011 12:24

Wow! Congratulations somebeans!

Truffkin · 20/03/2011 12:39

Congrats somebeans and FX for an uneventful next 8 months!

JosieSmith1 · 20/03/2011 14:24

Congrats Somebeans!!!

Well after my Smile from OPK yesterday my mood has really picked up! It's like someone has said 'actually, yes everything is working' and it made me feel really upbeat. We SWI last night and plan to do it again tonight so fingers crossed for this month. I went for a ride this morning so I'm nice and relaxed for the sperm and egg to have a lovely relaxed 'date' and not be stressed out Grin
