Oh yes, this place is filled with your finest hormonal roller coasters, dodgems (mainly enjoyed by the spermz) and the finest side shows you'll find anywhere. Come and squeeze our buzzwams to check for imaginary aches & pains, play 'guess when I'm ovulating' (made all the harder when you're as wizened and decrepit as we are) and indulge in a little light WOOFLing if you're feeling up to the challenge. There's are even droid shies for taking out your pain on the beeping little fecker when he comes along to rain on your parade.

So, if you've been TTC since the chairoplanes were the latest attraction, let's hear about it.

Oooh mass ESH meet up sounds fabulous dahlinks, glad you all had fun and hope Rie is feeling more human today Grin

Vajazzle sorry for droid arrival, we've got a massive industrial-type shredder in at work at he moment so I'll run him through that for you.

Bitey lovely news about the sisticle and even nicer that you can enjoy lovely news without having to endure the hormonal witchiness. When my sister was diffed she was evil and as soon as she had laid, she said she missed being pregnant. We certainly did not.

Boo pliz to stop with the grown up financial planning. I am all manner of useless with numbers and get a bit Envy of people who are good at things like that!

Brownie I believe my world changed for the better when I discovered groupon. When I found livingsocial as well, words cannot explain my joy. I have so far booked one dermalogica facial, two fish pedicures, one mud chamber experience for two and a keratin blow dry through one or other of those sites.

Ski what's JB done this time? He needs to get his arse in gear and stop pissing you off methinks. He seems to be on your wrong side far too often recently, what can we do to get the message across? Maybe some BESH woo-ness coming his way might do the trick?

TGB and I went out with some friends on Saturday night for some drinks and ended up spending yesterday languishing in hangover city. We believe we may be too old to resort to rounds of shots every time we go out, is this why we have not winned a bayble? The fates are telling us to stop being so bloody irresponsible? I feel like we need to squeeze in as much irresponsibility as possible as a ngiht out getting pissed for both of us, would be just stupid if we had a mini-me to look after the next morning wouldn't it?

FF thinks I should test on Friday if no droid, as I have no symptoms and Friday is only CD28 I am thinking more like droid will appear over the weekend anyway so why bother with a plan Tuesday. Also, we are away for the weekend and I want to drink wine without feeling guilty avoid souring the mood with a BFN.

I wonder if tequila is a good start to night duty?

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/03/2011 20:47

Oh starskyandsnatch, you have been tormented by the bleeping fucker, is shite!

I am nowhere near the borders ski as am right on the edge and am also NO FUN* at the moment but thank you for asking Smile

truff I am sure that many many wins are shot fuelled, especially slippery nipples.

*=moody, humourless spotty cow

HighPriestessBoo · 07/03/2011 21:34

Truffs If only. Financial sort out is due to me being not very grown up at all pre child and trying to sort out the mess I have made now I'm only a part time worker Blush Still, there's light at the end of the tunnel.

I got a massage and facial with group on. I called up to make an appointment and was told I can't book in till June!

Bitey I didn't mention lovely sis news, am very pleased for you/her and hope that this one stays stuck.

I am kicking myself for being a wuss and missing the party on Saturday eve - pics are now all up on faceache and it looked hamazing. Envy I think enjoying partying whilst still child free is the way forward Trufflestiltskin and giving up alcohol is a no-no, no matter what Zita 'I'm raking it in' West says in her book of how to get diffed. One of the reasons I stayed on on Sat eve is because I am not the most patient of Mums lately and being hungover would have turned me into a shouty irritable cah.

Rie Inspired by that Hestershaw to whom you introduced me Wink I got MrBoo to bring Mortal Engines back from the library. Took a break from Wolf Hall and read it in a day. Twas superb. Thanks for that.

All night at work Browngirl? Please to neck the bottle of tequila and the worm too. Grin

InTheSunshine · 07/03/2011 22:54

I would love to meet some ESHers. Would be grand.

Boo pliz not to worry about things money or otherwise. Here have this large helium filled balloon I won it on a stall for you. It won't pay your credit card bill but it will make you talk funny.

I read some great books on holiday. Room. The Other Hand. Keith Richards autobiography. And a Joanna Trollope. I am in bed now reading Alan Sugar but he's irritating me.

Brownie how do you cope with night shifts? I did them ages ago and they messed me up.

HighPriestessBoo · 07/03/2011 23:00

:o You just made me cackle Sunny, which is most welcome because I just watched OBEM on 4od and was sobbing.

Truffkin · 07/03/2011 23:14

I am watching Being Human from last night and am scared! I'm such a wuss but have proper butterfly tummy!

Boo soz for getting the wrong end of the stick, pliz to have this gold star for effort? It sounds like you are sorting things out now and nowt wrong with a good spend up before having the financial drain -fitted-- sprogettes

Ooh Sunny I have also recently read Room and also Friday Nights by Joanna Trollope. One of my favourites recently has been Sister by Rosamund Lupton and I also liked 'Her Last Letter' by Nancy C. Johnson (which I bought because it was cheap in the Kindle store!)

OP posts:
HighPriestessBoo · 07/03/2011 23:21

Can we talk about Room? Or mebbe we shouldn't in case of spoilers. But it was so good! Did your hearts race during that bit in the middle? I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

Truffkin · 07/03/2011 23:33

Yes Boo and I really wondered if it would work out as planned or not, one of those 'edge of the seat' stories!

OP posts:
HighPriestessBoo · 07/03/2011 23:41

I am going to nose at those books on Amazon now Truffian...

AlpinePony · 08/03/2011 08:42

truff he's just being an asshat although he did apologise last night for being such a dick on sunday and this morning we managed to talk to each other for an hour without bickering and he got the baby's bottle at 1am. We even managed the sechs on CD 11 so if he can stop being an arsehole for just a few more days we might be in with a chance.

boo It's going to be on Tuesday 29th if you're able. There will be 3 FESHes and 4 Foffspring. ESH meets usually result in diffment, something to do with the booze - although as we're all driving that's probably not going to happen this time, plus of course fanny's had her man neutered at the vet's.

You shouldn't be doing grown up things like maffs and bills & stuff. It only leads to heartache. :(

brownb Is your job inherently sexist? My ex-BFF who does your job was taking a nap in the custody room one night and woke up to one of her colleagues "simulating a sex act" over her. Hmm She wasn't even that bothered - reckoned it was just par for the course! Shock

bitey Gah, just you and me at Magor then? Wink

starnose That's jsut fucking rude - send it on its way!

owlbooty · 08/03/2011 09:56
Grin

Shiney at least you can use the Alan Sugar if you run out of bog roll, eh?

I too thought Room was v.good, and have been buying whatever is looking cheaper than usual in the Kindle store - this has led to some interesting purchases. I am currently reading The Sea, The Sea by Iris Murdoch which is rather good.

Brownie Tequila is always compatible with night duty. Always Grin

I had special K for breakfast this morning. I am already fecking starving. Special K = cardboard shite.

rocketleaf · 08/03/2011 10:06

Sorry for the droidal misbehaviour itt. Specially for starskyandsnatch (genius) that's just adding insult to injury.

I could possibly do Oswestry meet up. Is not too far from me. Would have to see what days I am working that week tho.

Happy international Womens day, lovely BESHies. And have a gin laced pancake.

BarbiesBeaver · 08/03/2011 10:23

Am I extremely wrong to think that Daniel Craig is much hotter than usual when dressed as a woman?

Ivegotmrbitey · 08/03/2011 10:29

Picture pliz? I luff him so!

HighPriestessBoo · 08/03/2011 10:58

Happy International Women's day indeed ESHy friends.

Bugger - I can't make the 29th as I'll be working. Darn it. Could have got there too, and would have loved to grab the chance to meet you while you were over here Pony.

I should have had Special K Boots as I am feeling rather rotund. I may take the opportunity of a rare day off today to plan a healthy eating and fitness routine. If only the thought of it didn't make me feel so depressed.

Daniel Craig eh? Did I give him back to you all then after I confiscated him?

Please to post some pics I can gawp at. Droid is over, time to get 'in the mood'. :o

Ivegotmrbitey · 08/03/2011 11:20

video link here

BBQ was going to say yes very wrong and then he took the wig off and I dribbled quite a lot.

HighPriestessBoo · 08/03/2011 11:37

That was fucking ace. Cheers Bitey. Fight the good fight ladies!

BarbiesBeaver · 08/03/2011 12:09

Hah! I knew you would all like it. Conveniently combines lesbianism and the Craig in one.

HighPriestessBoo · 08/03/2011 12:14

and the message is relevant. Now I know he is pro-women I am even more in love with him. The slut. He knew what he was doing didn't he?

rocketleaf · 08/03/2011 12:15

So doesnt float my boat, even less in drag. One less ESH to fight over him I suppose.

HighPriestessBoo · 08/03/2011 12:41

I'm not fighting anyone over a maaan - 'tis wimminz day after all :o.

Ivegotmrbitey · 08/03/2011 12:49

I'm not fighting over Daniel either - I don't have to as he is locked in my attic Grin

BrownB · 08/03/2011 16:24

Very good little clip - I too like Daniel Craig very much, though in drag...?

Happy IWD folks.

Ski, I can't say that I find the Police to be inherently sexist. Bear in mind though that I am just under 6 foot tall and drunkards think twice about taking a swing at me. The simulated sex act is just wrong in every way and I have never experienced anything like that. In my little world, the real dinosaurs are gradually retiring. And in my experience, even they appreciate that women are better at some parts of the job than they are, and tend to be fair on the stuff that matters. It is boring, but it's also about how you carry yourself and what you accept from the people around you.

Women do tend to get pushed toward "family focussed" or "sexual offences investigation" roles in the big squads etc. These specialties have their own advantages though, and it's not just women who do them.

People with "child-care issues" get a bit slated, both men and women. This is because the nature of the job dictates that if someone has to be off at x o'clock then someone else will have to pick up the slack when it's necessary. And it often is necessary to pick up the slack. Flexy time is available, and police parents/couples manage to muddle through.

I have to confess that the older I get, the more I realise that the sexism issue is not as cut and dried as I once thought. If you're in a violent situation, I'd prefer to have a man by my side. If you're trying to diffuse a situation, I'd prefer to have a woman by my side. [Gross generalisations, as of course it depends on the individuals.] If you're trying to talk sense into a tearaway teenage lad, you generally need a man to do that. Sometimes that goes for the tearaway teenaged lasses too.

And we're about to have our pay cut huh? Hmm.

And it's worth noting that women aren't all saints. There are a fair few pretty nasty ones out there who play out their own little power games at the expense of others. Less criminal ones perhaps, but loads of nasty ones.

Here endeth the lesson. Wink

Anyway, am still rubbing sleep from my eyes. Am a bit gutted to have missed this sunny shiney day.

InTheSunshine · 08/03/2011 17:14

Wise words BrownOwl some of the worst examples of sexism I've seen have come from my female boss who blatantly favours 'her boys'.

Well what a lovely sunny day. Makes me Grin

I wasted £20 last night buying a shit pregnancy thing off the Internet, you know one if those read this & you'll get diffed immediately. I'm a twat.
