The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Just a normal day really, but thanks for asking!

Had my brother and his girlfriend over for some drinks last night but that's about it. And I woke up with a horrible headache today - I didn't even drink that much! I'm feeling much better now though.

Finally got my hands on some of those pound shop pregnancy tests now, think I'll hold off on taking one until the end of the week though, and we're back on condoms now, at least until all this medical stuff is solved, but maybe longer if the university plans go ahead :(

I swear I get baby kicks all the time though.

How is everyone?

JosieSmith1 · 28/03/2011 10:00

Happy birthday babylann sorry your plans didn?t work out though Wine

Hi SleepyCaz, hope your cycles are getting back to normal and you?re doing ok

Was my friend?s hen party on sat and it wasn?t great tbh Sad the bride put her back out on sat morning so she ended up in tears and we had to almost carry her up the street, and the other bridesmaid (SiL to be) was absolutely hammered, couldn?t open her eyes and kept necking off with random blokes and her female friend Confused (the friend is married with 2 young kids) so the bride was looking after her all night cos she wouldn?t just let her get on with it like we all would have done

Anyway, got some good news yesterday ? I can move into the new yard this weekend!! For those who haven?t been following the drama ? I?ve been trying to get off my current yard since October and I?ve been quite stressed about it so this is great news, although now I?m nervous that she won?t settle Grin would you expect anything less from me Grin

Anyway, I won?t be on much today as I?m working on my app form and shadowing one of the officers so won?t be on the comp much

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 10:06

hi SleepyCaz - glad to hear you're "back on the horse" :)

I couldn't sleep at all last night - i'm being paranoid about the advise not to sleep on my back - if i sleep stiffly on my side, I get an ache in my shoulder, so sleep for a while on my back to ease the pain (it seemsd to transfer to the other shoulder if i swap sides) but last night, every time i went on my back, all i could imagine was a huge blood vessel bursting in my sleep! Shock very annoying.

kateepie2 · 28/03/2011 10:22

nickel, nickel. Little bean is roughly about the size of an apple pip... its when you have bump that you need to not sleep on your back! It's not going to be anywhere near heavy enough to burst anything Wink I too find that my shoulders go numb lying on my side, so have to lie on my back for a bit with my arms stretched up to get rid of the pins and needles! You can also lay on your tum for short periods, everything is well cushioned, so won't get squished for a bit.

Happy belated birthday to babylann

I have found I can drink Brew if I use (euw) skimmed milk... first time in my 30 years that I have knowingly chosen watery crap skimmed milk to put in my tea. Sigh. But I can have tea! Grin

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 10:28

I know! Blush
it's just one of the things that's going round in my head!
such a big change.
(i think mine's not the size of an apple pip yet -probably a pepper seed)
yes, i did go over onto my tummy for while (but that annoys my neck! Hmm )

oh yeah, milk.
someone on a thread said that she couldn't drink milk at all (can't remember who), so now every time I have some, i'm convinced it's going to make me feel sick. Hmm and Blush

kateepie2 · 28/03/2011 10:46

Sorry that was probably me. How is the nausea? My bean should be about 4.5cm now! 12 weeks on Sunday, have scan on 11 April, can't wait to be able to tell people properly (without having to swear the few people we have told to absolute secrecy) Smile

babylann · 28/03/2011 12:00

Morning everyone. Hehe nickel, that's so funny - I was exactly the same as you at the start of my pregnancy, e.g. refusing to JS, following everything like textbook. After a while, you get used to it and it starts controlling itself!

Good luck with your dating scan katee :)

Found out my ex has got his girlfriend pregnant. Don't know how to feel about this to be honest. I'm not jealous about them having a baby or anything, but there's something a bit "off" in my mind when I think about it.

Last time we spoke (about 6 months ago), he said some horrible things to me - all based on the fact that I've "ruined my life" by having a baby, I'm a "drain on society" (he's a student who's never had a job in his life and doesn't even pay his own bills with his student loan - his parents do, and we have never taken benefits and pay all our own bills), I'm "fat" (can't wait to see how he reacts when he realises people do tend to put on a bit of weight when they're pregnant), I'm a bad mum because I talk about computer games with my other friends and so much more.

(Take heed pregnant ladies, when your baby comes you have to give up everything. You can't even enjoy a game of solitaire when the baby is napping for the four time today because that's not what good mums do)

And now, he's having a baby. While he's in his third attempt at a second year of university, with a girlfriend he's been with for about 3 months who doesn't even have the right to live in this country permanently. I would never judge him for it, but I just hope he realises all the things he said to me and all the assumptions he made about me will be exactly the same when he has a baby. But knowing him, I don't think he will, and that pisses me off GrinAngry

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 12:06

blimey, it goes fast, doesn't it katee ?
my nausea's been mostly dormant, thankfully.
get a twinge of it every nwo and then, but passing and a sip of water seems to calm it down.
Mostly i'm feeling normal.

babylann - not refusing to JS - i think DH is more worried than i am! Grin

on Saturday night, I was lying on the bed with my arms and legs wide open (fully-clothed i hasten to add - i do this before we get ready for bed - kind of a hug, but with meaning Wink ), and he climbed up, and went "oh, i shouldn't be doing this now should i?" then proceeded to chat to the embryo. "hello!" he said "how are you then? aw, I'm your dad, I am, I'm your dad" Grin and Hmm
daft sod.

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 12:07

sorry your ex is such a twat - exes are, though. Angry

kateepie2 · 28/03/2011 13:34

I haven't err js'd since conception... 12 bloody long weeks ago but in my defence, felt too sick in the early stages and now can't really be bothered Blush hopefully it will change when I get some energy back???

babylann just think of all those sleepless nights he's got coming to him and you can feel smug cos you've been there and dealt with it Grin he does sound like a complete tosser.

babylann · 28/03/2011 16:18

Indeed he is :)

Well, after all that JSing involved in making the baby in the first place, you're definitely entitled to a break now Wink

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 28/03/2011 17:15

Ohh Ohh Nickel saw you on another thread with your shiney new name change. Will you be joining us on the grads thread soon then? Grin

nickelbabyhatcher · 28/03/2011 17:17

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 28/03/2011 19:10

A tentative congratulations and lots of sticky stuff your way. when you're ready you can find the fatty tummy Viroids here (that goes for all of you of course)

BamBam21 · 28/03/2011 21:00

Hi everybody!

I haven't been around all weekend, as DP was working loads of overtime, so I was a bit tied up with ferrying DS around. I feel quite exhausted and will be glad to have some time to myself tomorrow!

Penguin I think I probably have already OV'd, as my boobs are already a bit sore. Nothing to get excited about, as it's quite normal for me. But will that put me off symptom spotting.........?Grin How are you getting on? It's good to have a 2WW buddy!

Babylann your ex sounds like a total wankstain. You are well rid.Smile

Nickel I am glad you are getting on well. I think it's normal to be paranoid, and to know at all times EXACTLY what stage you are at, and EXACTLY how big the bean is etc etc. I was so naive when I had DS, but knew everything. Think I would be more terrified this time around.Confused

No chance of JSing for me, as DP is snoring on the couch now. Oh well.......Smile

babylann · 28/03/2011 22:45

Hey Bam :) When I've got no choice but to become a "lone parent" for a while, if DP is busy with work, it really makes me appreciate how hard it must be to be a single parent. I am always in awe of some of the people I know who have managed to raise a child on their own. I couldn't handle it - I find it hard enough being a SAHM for 9 hours a day... At least he comes home and does bath time and feeds her dinner while I get to escape to the kitchen for a while.

I think if me and DP broke up, I'd have to go out and move in with the first man I met for a bit of extra help Grin I'd be Katie Price (without the luxury of all the money, but at least my back probably aches less than hers).

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 29/03/2011 09:51

Hmm, PS I used to be NoMoreChocBiscuits, if any of you are wondering who this random is Grin

BamBam21 · 29/03/2011 10:16

Morning all!

Sooooooo lovely today, with DS at school and DP at work. Just me and the cat, and it's so quiet!Smile I agree with you about single mums babylann - it must be really hard. I just love every quiet moment that I get.

Meant to say hi and welcome to Becs, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!SmileWine

It's my birthday on Friday (yes, April Fool's DayBlush) but DP has said that he has been offered overtime every night this week, and we really need the money, so I can't think we'll be doing much for it.Sad Plus, I have an interview for that crappy job on Saturday morning, so I can't even have much Wine. DP works for the census, and he is so exhausted just now, poor thing, so I won't moan too much!Blush

Hi Confessions! I remember you as NMCB. Loving the new name!Grin

Hope you are all fine today.

nickelbabyhatcher · 29/03/2011 10:27

ah, now it all makes sense! Grin
confessions is nmcb.
Grin(i did wonder how you knew me so well! )

babylann · 29/03/2011 11:11

Good morning Bam :) Glad to hear you're having a relaxing day.

Not so much for me. I think I have sleep apnea or something because every few weeks or so, I have a night where I keep on just-about-falling-asleep but then waking up feeling like I stopped breathing. Quite scary and last night it must have happened about 10 times before I got up and decided to google it, which scared me even more. I didn't end up getting to sleep properly until 3am, and this morning all 3 of us overslept til 8:55 - meaning DP had 5 minutes to get ready and get to work on time. Shock

And now all I want to do is sleep, I feel like I haven't slept at all, but DD is being a nightmare baby! Just managed to get her to go for a nap but she's not settling very well and I don't think it's going to last Hmm

BamBam21 · 29/03/2011 11:22

Oh babylann that's not so good.Sad Maybe you could try those strip things that go across your nose when you sleep? Not very sexy, but better than no sleep!!Grin My dad had sleep apnoea, but he snored horrendously and you could hear him choking a bit. If it's only every so often, it could maybe just be if you are slightly choked up, or if the room is too warm, that sort of thing. Anyway I hope DD settles down and you can put your feet up with a Brew for a wee while.Smile

Not quite as relaxing a day as I had in mind. Just heading off to Tesco shortly, as we are out of cat food, and Iams is the only food that doesn't make her sick!Hmm Think I have a posh cat!!Grin

JosieSmith1 · 29/03/2011 12:06

Well, I have almost decided to give up on my job application. Asked my team manager to look at it and the first thing she said after reading it was 'do you really want this job' so now I feel like s**t and like no-one thinks I'm capable, but why should I be an admin for the rest of my life! I'm more than capable of doing the job, just not of getting it! I freeze up in application forms and interviews so I'll probably make a fool of myself like I did last time and then I will look like a right tit Angry So now I have to virtually re-write a 2000 word essay before Thursday, whilst visiting my bro tonight as it's his birthday, and going to look around the new yard
