The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

here is DH after lunch.

he went off into a deep sleep and then kept waking up when I got he camera out! Shock
he's gone home for a nap now. Hmm

PenguinPoo4 · 11/03/2011 19:05

Afternoon/Evening everyone!
Pan - I'm so pleased for you! Congragulations, I hope everything goes really well at the Docs and you get a lovely neat bump to show off soon :)
Have you registered at the Docs yet Babylann? You know you should...
BamBam, you sound like me with all your funny twinges! I've been getting period symptoms for days and should have had AF today but nothing. prob just my body getting in sync after coming off the pill but I cant help but want my period to just hurry up and conme if its coming so I can get it over with and try again!
Everyone on this thread sounds knackered at the moment. Restful weekends all round in order I think - and lots of JS'ing! Not for me though, I'm on call so will be v busy this weekend, and the inevitable AF is imminent so doubt I'll be doing any JS'ing either. And due to on call, no consolation Wine on the cards either Sad
God, I've depressed myself now! have great weekends everyone. x

PenguinPoo4 · 11/03/2011 19:21

...on the bright side I did drink lots of gin and wine last night and am off to the gym tonight to lift innapropriately heavy weights, so if that doesnt tempt fate I dont know what will Grin

BamBam21 · 11/03/2011 20:28

Aw nickel, your DH looks so sweet!Smile DP is out at band practice just now, so I have a lovely quiet couple of hours, as DS is now in bed. NOTHING on the telly though!

I got really sad earlier on, as I had some more faint spotting, and feel really crampy. Certain that ERTD is coming now. It's been two and a half years FFS. It's the uncertainty of it all every month, and the hoping and waiting, and then the disappointment. I'm having some large measures of Wine now anyway, and DP has promised me some Galaxy when he gets home.

Crow it's a shame you found out about your sister in that way. Maybe she has suspected you are TTC and didn't want to upset you - a kind of half-cocked but well-meaning gesture?

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 13/03/2011 08:08

OMG BFP!!!!!

kateepie2 · 13/03/2011 14:52

wahey for Lizzy! Grin

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 13/03/2011 16:09

Thanks Katee I am muchly excited!

kateepie2 · 13/03/2011 18:40

Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you Lizzy sending sticky thoughts Smile

Where are the rest of the viroids? All doing much more exciting things than me this weekend, clearly Wink

PenguinPoo4 · 13/03/2011 23:26

Congragulations Lizzy! You made a doc/midwife appt yet? Keep us posted, I'm very excited for you!
ERTD yet BamBam? I havent had mine, tested first wee this morning, 2 days late, but BFN. I had thought there was a bit of a chance as I'd had a strange dull ache in lower tummy for a few days but no period, so thought it could be implantation pain or summat, but I guess not :( I just want AF to come now so i can get cracking again! Am glad I ordered those ovulation sticks (I know they are prob against thread rules but I dont care pokes out tongue) when they come I'll be able to make sure I am actually ovulating :)
I think the 'Pregnancy for men' book may have been a mistake though, DP read about gender selection and wants to dispatch his troops at precisely the correct time to conceive a boy! Dont think he's be upset if we made a girl but it's funny how he instinctively wants a son first - anyone elses DP's like that?

nickelbabysnatcher · 14/03/2011 10:09

Lizzy well done!!! GrinGrin
good shagging, girl! Grin

nickelbabysnatcher · 14/03/2011 10:11

We were in ASDA yestersday for "pharceutical goods" and a lady in the queue before me asked a question about the ovulation kits.
I butted in (as you do) and the lady on the counter gave us a few hints and tips about timing (obv already knew, but felt like I was then in a "club" - the other lady in the queue is getting married abroad in a few weeks and they're going to start ttc.)

I did not buy any.

JosieSmith1 · 14/03/2011 10:32

Well hello viroids!

A big warm welcome to the newbies!

Huge congrats to Panpipe and Lizzy. Lizzy that quote is fab and I think I will keep it nearby all the time

Sorry about your sister Crow, hope you?re ok, believe me I know how it sucks!

Well had last week off work and really enjoyed myself just relaxing and getting out and about a bit. Visited the lake district for the first time ever and it was absolutely gorgeous! Spent a couple of days with my bestest bud and had a fab time with her just gossiping and window shopping. Then I went to docs on Friday as I was frightened about coming back to work and she diagnosed me with depression and gave me some things to read an some exercises to do. I was gonna take some more time off work but my senior rang yesterday and asked if I could come in as she needs some time off ? she just found out her hubby has been having an affair. I know this sounds awful, but it?s been a kick up the backside. I?m needed at work and now the spotlight?s off me so I am making a clean start. It also makes me realise that I?m lucky I?ve got what I?ve got. I may not have a baby (yet) but I?ve got my hubby. We?re on the beginning of our journey, as stressful as it may feel at times, while her life as she knows it has fallen apart. I really feel for her Sad

crowette · 14/03/2011 11:03

Morning!

Yay on the BFP lizzy!!

Sorry to hear your boss Josie, sometimes we need that kick up the jacksie to put things in perspective.

I still haven't plucked up the courage to call my sister yet Blush I chatted to our other sister who lives in Oz (via Facebook) and explained my feelings, and that I was slightly miffed at not being told and having to read it on there. Apprently I did get sent a text from my pregnant sister, and OZ sister is 'sorry that you didn't look at your phone before reading facebook, as I did wait ten hours before posting it' Hmm Turns out she herself is TTC too! But she's also having problems, been told her tubes are more than likely blocked, and so she's been in tears the last couple of days. At least I think I'm getting pregnant - I'm just having trouble getting it to stick. Now feeling wretched for not bursting with excitement about the news.

OH was not at all sympathetic Hmm virtually patted me on the head and said 'ah well, be happy for her', no understanding of how I feel about it at all. Made me feel as though he - again, is having second (third?) thoughts about us TTC. He said he's not as excited about it as he was, but knows it's what I want and is sure he'd be excited 'once it happens' ... I want him to want it too! Aaarrgh! Fucking men!!! Angry

Right, I really am going to try to get myself together to text my sister - not sure about calling yet.

caramelgirl · 14/03/2011 11:22

Big big congratulations Lizzy that's wonderful. And congratulations Pan too, hope that you both had wonderful weekends. Good luck Penguin, hope that you don't need baffling ov sticks (whispers, I was thinkign of taking temps but that also sounds tricky when still dopey with sleep).
That sounds really hard Crow, don't think you should blame yourself for not feeling super excited about sister's pg, you can't control emotions and I think it is particularly hard when someone has a "surprise" as they've not even had the ttc stress. And it is v stressful, tho' think not so much for men I reckon.
Guess you are right Josie it is all about keeping it in perspective, I was getting v grumpy this weekend as ERTD arrived and I'd convinced myself that the one time we'd managed to SWI would have been the one. But it wasn't and he's due to go away a fair bit more soon. But then I saw a picture of Lily Allen and thought that I was being super selfish and self-centred. It's just hard to have any perspective when you want a bump and when everyone aroudn you seems to be growing them. So I am off to think fertile thoughts and try to be more grateful and less grumpy!!

JosieSmith1 · 14/03/2011 12:26

I know what you mean Caramel, I feel so so sorry for Lily Allen. What I'm going through is nothing compared to her. It's hard to keep the feelings in check though sometimes.

panpipe · 14/03/2011 12:53

Oh wow Lizzy that's fantastic news! Big congrats to you Grin

Looks like the thread has been its usual quiet weekend self again. I had a great time - a lovely ride down to Torquay on DHs motorbike on Saturday and my band won the competition yesterday! Woohoo! That means we get to play at the Royal Albert Hall in October, very much looking forward to it even though I'll already be there three times that month with work! I'm hoping that I will be able to play as by my calculations I'll be 8 months gone by then - might have to be the triangle as I won't be able to get near any other instrument lol!

JosieSmith1 · 14/03/2011 14:28

Oooo Panpipe that's fab, congrats to your band and good luck getting near the instruments Grin

PenguinPoo4 · 14/03/2011 18:38

Hi Everyone! Sounds like Josie and Pan had lovely weekends. Pan maybe you could play the didgeridoo?
Oh Crow dont feel bad about not being immediately happy for your sis, and remember one persons problems and stresses dont make yours any less real. It is good to get things in perspective but that doesnt mean we cant wallow in a vat of gin feel a bit sad when things dont go how we would like.
AF for me today, but thats OK I will try again next month. Another month to save for baby stuff won't hurt, as we have a new house to completely furnish as well.

BamBam21 · 14/03/2011 21:54

Hi all!

Wow Lizzy, that's fantastic news! I'm so pleased for you.Smile

Really glad you are feeling more positive about everything Josie. I think you were right to go to your doctor. You mustn't feel bad about how you have felt though. They are YOUR feelings and perfectly natural and valid.

Good luck with your sister crow.

Well, I've had the horrible, brown start of period thing going on since Friday. (Sorry if TMI!Grin) Still hasn't started "properly" despite JSingBlush, but think it probably will tomorrow. Fingers crossed it won't though!Smile

NervousNelly · 14/03/2011 22:30

Hi Viroids Grin

God I am the worst thread-starter ever. Just left you all to get on with it while I keep disappearing into my stressful life. Seems like it's working though, loads of BFP's. Yay for Lizzy as the latest, sticky bean thoughts for you :)

Things still a bit distracting in my life, so we've given very little attention to JSing I'm afraid. We did manage one last Sunday which I think was a few days before OV, so I guess I'm in the 2ww. But I've really not been paying attention. Which ironically would make me the best JSer of all, if we were actually having sex Hmm.

Anyway I have been lurking lots, but not had much to say. Really good to hear you went to your doc, Josie, I hope you start to feel better soon :)

It's been snowing here again the last few days, it's soooo cold. So much for spring - think I need to book a holiday soon Grin.

JosieSmith1 · 15/03/2011 08:49

Pants Penguin. Good that you are seeing the positives though

Thanks Bam and Nelly, I?m definitely on the up. Saw my senior yesterday (the one who just found out her hubby cheated on her) and I feel so unbelievably sorry for her. She?s on the sick and has sleeping tablets. She seemed sedated yesterday, it?s just so awful.

Nelly hope your horse is getting better?

If I hadn?t had ERTD about 2 weeks ago I would be convinced I?m pg Shock. Been weeing and drinking loads, ate an absolute mountain of food last week and couldn?t stop myself, and got absolutely no signs of oving, which I usually have by now (rule break ? OPK says no Grin) Confused

essenceofSES · 15/03/2011 10:23

Hello again viroids!

Congratulations to pan and Lizzy Grin

Also congrats to pan on getting through to play at the RAH!

Josie - you're right about perspective but at the same time only an individual is in their exact situation and living it IYKWIM. Go easy on yourself.

Crowette - I don't blame you for feeling upset but how lively that your other sister felt able to share her experiences with you.

Penguin - sorry for AF and fingers crossed for your new cycle.

Hello nickel, bam, Katee, caramel and anyone else!

I'm on CD11 and just gearing up for JSing. trying not to do that thing where I get all excited and pin my hopes on this particular cycle only for them to be dashed again! My aim is for lots of fun, impromptu shagging!!!! Only problems will be Thurs as it's Paddy's Day so DH (Irish) will be getting pissed and Sat/Sun when DH is away in Ireland to "watch Ireland slaughter the English" in the rugby! Do you reckon my body will casually time ovulation to fit in with that?!

JosieSmith1 · 15/03/2011 11:01

Oh no Essence, I am hoping to see 'England slaughter the Irish' at the weekend Grin Hope you can fit in some well timed JSing

nickelbabysnatcher · 15/03/2011 11:12

oh, god, it's St Patrick's day on Thursday.
forgot about that!
Shock

nickelbabysnatcher · 15/03/2011 11:12

oh, and essence, you've got to JS before he has a drink!
