The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

babylann - you really should have one once you become sexually actice.
they did used to hurt, because they'd scrape your cervix with a stick, but now they use a brush which gathers the cells and they really don't hurt any more.
yes, i would recommend you getting one, and you're recommended to get one every 3 years.

essenceofSES · 05/03/2011 17:41

Hello all! Nickel suggested I join this thread so hope you don't mind me barging in!

I'm 38yo and ttc DC2. DS is 21mo and a real delight. It took 18mo and 2mmc to have him and so far, we've been ttc #2 for 4 cycles. It feels even longer though as I'd hoped to ttc once DS was 12mo but DH wasn't ready. He's now fully onboard and this month kept asking me "Are you pg yet?"!

I'm not sure how good I'll be with "the rules" as I've been obsessing dreadfully - including with my CBFM, OPKs, iPeriod App and temping through FF!

I'm on CD1 (again!) but DH isn't going to know what's hit him this month when I start my seduction techniques in order to get frequent, well timed SWI!

Just one question - what is a shag cape?!

nickelprincess · 05/03/2011 17:53
Grin a shag cape is any garment you want to wear to make a baby! I think (i hope!) it's metaphorical, but it's recently moved onto shag socks Grin It's supposed to make you a superhero (but the socks are to keep your feet warm so that the blood goes to the correct parts...)
essenceofSES · 05/03/2011 17:56

You mean I'm not the only one that sometimes wears socks whilst shagging?! Blush and Grin

nickelprincess · 05/03/2011 17:58
Grin

i think it adds something to the atmosphere - makes it feel all sexy because we obviously want to do it that much that we've not got time to completely undress! Blush and Shock

nickelprincess · 05/03/2011 17:58

okay, it's really odd talking to the same person on the religion thread then immediately the ttc thread! it feels somehow rather naughty Grin

Don't worry, the Bible tells us to go forth and multiply.

I'M TRYING DAMMIT!

Doesn't mention socks as far as I'm aware though...

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 06/03/2011 18:19

Am I the only viroid without a life today?!

hello hello hello hello

LizzyMathsWhizzy is bored, someone entertain her

essenceofSES · 06/03/2011 20:18

Hello Lizzy - maybe I scared everyone off?!

We had my parents over for a late lunch and I happily indulged in some red wine (oh the joys of CD2!). I was very thankful for the opportunity as I'm dreading the moment when Mum starts asking whether we're ttc#2 and hopefully this put her off the scent a while!

BamBam21 · 06/03/2011 20:27

Hi viroids. Welcome essence.Smile

Hope everyone is okay. I've been lurking, but it seems very quiet here this weekend. DS has had an ear infection, so it was a dash to the doctor's on Friday after school, as he came out looking awful and very sore. He is much better today, but we will wait and see if he is okay for school tomorrow.

I have one week until ERTD, and am still hopeful. My boobs have started to hurt a bit, but just every now and again they get sore and tingly and they feel huge. (36H at the best of times!BlushShock) I'm living in hope anyway. Definitely feel different to I normally feel with one week to go.Hmm

Babylann I feel bad if I worried you about smear tests.Sad They honestly aren't too bad. I have had four, and it's just that last one that was a bit sore. The others were totally painless. The trick is just to relax and not tense up about it I think.

NervousNelly · 06/03/2011 20:38

Evening everyone. Don't worry Lizzy, this thread does tend to go rather quiet over the weekend. Nothing personal essence and welcome !

Not much going on here. I have pantsnot, but no shagging. Oh well, think how relaxed the 2ww will be Hmm. What with all my preoccupations with my ill horse, I'm either an emotional wreck or too tired for sex. There is a tiny window tonight, then OH is away for 3 nights anyway, by which time we'll be past the window.

Josie glad to see you a bit more upbeat. FWIW, I'd take the counselling. Honestly, even though you are feeling a bit better now, they will probably be able to give you a few tools to deal with similar feelings/situations in the future. Absolutely no need to feel embarrased about it. It's just a chat with someone who won't judge, won't want to turn it around, and will be able to give you some useful advice!

z12swwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Sorry - the cat just typed that, thought I'd leave it in to see if anyone could figure out what he was trying to say...

Hope you've all had a nice weekend :)

BamBam21 · 06/03/2011 20:51

PMSL at your cat nelly!Grin Maybe he's asking when the shagging will begin, so he can sit and watch. That's what my cat does!Hmm Freak!!Grin

NervousNelly · 06/03/2011 21:59

bambam - I'd judge you. Except many's a time, when we've had winter sex (you know, under the covers, taking off as little clothing as you can, cuddled up rather than Hollywood style exhibitionism) only to discover the cat hasn't even got off the bed Shock.

Ah well, he doesn't have to wait long before he can settle back down for his kip Wink.

nickelprincess · 07/03/2011 11:12
Grin i got huge pant snot on friday night, but we didn't go to bed till 11-sh (after choir and DH doing his fantasy football) so I told him we had to have sex, and his face dropped. "but I have to be up in the morning :( " Grin
nickelprincess · 07/03/2011 11:13

Nelly - your cat wants food.
they always want food.
(even if they've only just been fed Hmm )

crowette · 07/03/2011 11:28

Morning ladies!!

Nothing much happening here ... CD12 here and I've been feeling rotten with flu, so no energy for any JSing, although we did manage a quickie on Saturday afternoon before OH's daughter got home Grin I surprised him by trying a new look - hair naturally curly and down, instead of straightened or in a ponytail, wore a swirly skirt and low cut summer top instead of lounge wear, and he couldn't keep his hands off me Shock Shame it's just before my fertile time though, so I need a repeat performance this evening! I imagine it being like the Friends episode where Monica is trying to seduce Chandler when she's full of cold, lol!

Isn't the weather gorgeous today?! Not a cloud in the sky here, and a circus is being set up in the field opposite my flat - I wanna go!

caramelgirl · 07/03/2011 12:45

Glorious weather here as well. Was on a hen weekend in lovely rented cottage. So nice to have time just with girls- reminds me of schooldays!, tho' there was also an adorable 7 month old girl. Very cute, tho' the non-stop night wakings were a grim reminder. And lots of others superkeen to have a baby. Great to talk with people who you won't see again really (except at wedding) as then can be honest, like here. Whereas in real life I am doing alot of "no, no, we are just enjoying DD so much that we aren't even thinking of it yet" as I don't want pressure of people asking or feeling sorry for me if it doesn't work. Hate people knowing my business generally, unless I choose to broadcast it.
And then, after alot of train travelling I finally got home to husband I've not seen for two weeks. So, despite not being dressed up like crowette -had my country walks outfit on and getting hunters off was a real challenge- he still jumped me. Which I thoguth was a waste as approaching period CD20 of 26 or so. But oddly pant snot this morning. So am now wondering if I'm a late ovulator. interesting as we managed the JSing in peak time, but frankly were a bit too tired to bother later on in last couple of cycles. Hmm, will be hoping it does work out, would be a lovely bonus. And at least is after inhaling bottles of wine on hen, rather than before so didn't cramp my style.
Josie so happy to see that things are starting to look up. Saw some of your earlier posts which looked really tough, have been thinking of you.
Enjoy the sunshine viroids!

panpipe · 07/03/2011 13:10

Wow viroids it seems I've been AWOL for so long that you've gone and started a new thread! What did I miss?! Congrats to all the BFPs and hugs to Josie and all those who haven't been having a great time of it recently.

I've had a grand total on 0 more ERTDs since my last one - so that's 1 since December lol! I haven't really been obsessing recently since my last cycle turned out to be 6 weeks so I was expecting a long wait. It's now 6 weeks and 2 days since that and haven't had any pg 'symptoms'. I couldn't resist having a quick POAS this morning though and I swear the faintest of lines showed up. Gonna try to wait a few more days and get an expensive 'pregnant/not pregnant' one just to double check. Don't know whether to be nervous or excited or what; just trying not to think about it as it was SO faint!

Sorry for just wading back in again with some possible news - must do better!

nickelprincess · 07/03/2011 16:27

oooh! that's quite positive, too, isn't it?
or are you just imagining it all?
