The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

crowette · 24/02/2011 12:31

Good afternoon viroids!

Sorry about what you're going through Josie, it doesn't seem fair sometimes. A colleague of mine got pregnant the same time as me last year but of course I went on to miscarry, so I see her bump growing and can't help thinking how my own bump should be growing.

Spotting and just now, so it is definitely over for me this cycle. I just want to cry. I said before I'd not seek assistance in TTC, but I'm now changing my mind ... I get very upset at the thought of not having another baby. So will see the doctor in April.

Ah well, that's my lunch break over ... back to work, yuk!

JosieSmith1 · 24/02/2011 12:40

I think I might go to GP Katie thanks. I'm on the verge of a full blown rant in the office to be honest, I think it's feeling sorry for the blokes who won't have a clue what I'm going on about that's stopping me Grin I've got a week off after next week, that should help take my mind off it for a little while at least

Crow I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you. And here's me complaining when my situation isn't nearly that difficult.

crowette · 24/02/2011 15:53

But Josie, it could be said that at least I have my two daughters already! I caught my colleague sneaking a look at my tummy as I went past her her the other day ... she knows I'm TTC and that I miscarried, so obviously is wondering if I'm just keep a pregnancy to myself!

Will be 39 in a few weeks, so running out of time.

Right, where's the chocolate?! Grin

PenguinPoo4 · 24/02/2011 19:17

Oh Josie and Crow, your stories make me Sad Josie I doubt that your colleague is trying to upset you, she is probably naturally a bit insensitive, I'm sure she'll be mortified when/if she realises how much she's hurt you. Fingers crossed for you both anyway :)

BamBam21 · 24/02/2011 20:17

Hi viroids. Just checking in.

Josie I feel so bad for you. It must be so sad and frustrating for you having it right in your face. TBH though, your colleague can probably think of nothing else, and really won't be being intentionally insensitive. I hope that at least being here with folk who know how you feel is helping a bit.

nickel and crow, sorry about ERTD. Sounds like a bad one nickel Hope you feel better. Wine

Waves and WineBrewBiscuit to everyone else. You ladies are just brilliant. I don't know anywhere else that gives so much support along with lots of laughs. Smile

deemented · 24/02/2011 20:50

Well, i was going to POAS this morning... but i forgot Blush

I only remembered mid flow, and by then it was too late to stop, my poor pelvic floor just couldn't cope...

If i remember i might do it tomorrow. I know it's too early really though.

huge (cwtches) to all who need them x

JosieSmith1 · 25/02/2011 09:00

Sorry PenguinPoo didn't mean to make you Sad I know she's not trying to hurt me, she said she is there for me if I need to talk or anything.

Thanks Bam, I'm actually feeling a little stronger today. We've decided to try and spend some quality time just the two of us

And I've also decided that it's not over yet. We're only 8 months in for god's sake and deep down I know I'm in a much better situation than lots of you on here (sorry if I've offended anyone with my whingeing). Thank you all for your support, I really couldn't have done it without you. I was didn't think I'd come out the other side but there's light at the end of the tunnel Grin

Wine and Brew for everyone Grin

BamBam21 · 25/02/2011 10:09

Hi Josie. Glad you are feeling better and stronger about things today. You haven't offended anyone here I'm sure. No matter how long or short a time it has been TTC, the worry and sadness are the same when it's what you really want.

DEE you are way too chilled out!Grin Lots of luck and fingers crossed! Smile

I think I'm in my "window" at the moment, but don't think I'll get much action, as DP is pretty stressed out with work just now. I'll just have to turn on my womanly charms and hope for the best! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 25/02/2011 11:24

Jump him Bam Grin I'm sure he'll not protest once he gets into it. That was definitely not intended as a double entendre Grin

Dee I'd be going nuts if I was you!

I think I'll take my leave of MN again for a little while at least, try and forget about things again.

Thanks again to everyone for helping through a difficult time,I will keep checking in. Baby dust for everyone!

crowette · 25/02/2011 11:45

Good morning ladies! What a beautiful day here ... feels like spring and I'm wanting to fill our home with loads of flowers Grin also, as spring is meant to bring new life, maybe we'll all have good news soon ;)

Meanwhile - ERTD arrived in force overnight, so I'm feeling a bit drained. OH was out with his friends last night, for curry and drinks ... he's not a great drinker and he was given large whiskeys and strong beer and ended up using his friend's phone to call me twice, to tell me how much he loves me and how happy he is with me and looking forward to our future together. So much for a lads night out! The daft softy Blush When he got in and we went to bed, he decided he felt horny ... unfortunately because of ERTD, the two thirds of a bottle of red wine I'd drank and it being gone 1am, I was not in the mood at all Hmm

Now, shall I get on with the housework and sort out the girls' beds for when they get here for the weekend, or should I relax while I can and get them to help out? Wink

BamBam21 · 25/02/2011 12:01

LOL Josie! Take care of yourself dearie, and pop back soon. Smile

Sorry about ERTD crow. So lovely about your OH wanting to call you up. Now, sit down with a Brew and relax. Kids love to help out, don't they?!Wink

Feeling weirdly emotional today. A couple of songs have come on the radio that have had me sobbing madly. So unlike me. Confused

deemented · 25/02/2011 12:48

Aw, Josie - take care of you, eh? And do come back soon x.

Sorry about ERTD, Crow Sad

BamBam - when are you due to POAS?

Babylann - weren't you due to test today? Well??? Have you POAS yet???

MrsDollFce - where are you???

No news here. Haven't tested. Rough night with DS3 last night and didn't wake up til nearly ten which is unheard of for me. Might test tomorrow.

BamBam21 · 25/02/2011 12:58

Oh dee I hope DS3 is okay. You have the patience of a saint! Smile

I am only on about day 12 at the moment! Maybe a bit early to POAS! Grin Maybe it's something to do with ovulation or something, but it's not like me to crumple in a sobbing heap to Elton John!

Was Babylann due to POAS? Oooh! I must keep up! Blush

crowette · 25/02/2011 13:57

Thanks ladies!! I have done some housework - the lounge has been blitzed, even pulled out the sofa and cleaned under there ... OMG amount of crap under there Blush am now making sure OH and his daughter put their sweet wrappers in the bin, and that the cat gets run over with the Dyson before entering the room Grin Bathroom and toilet been scrubbed and I've had a lovely soak. Just waiting for my girls to turn up and for my work to be undone Hmm Looking forward to cuddles on the sofa with them tonight, eating pizza and watching a film.

Dee how early would you be if you POAS tomorrow? I'm having trouble keeping up with everyone at the moment ... can't wait to get back on my PC!

deemented · 25/02/2011 14:03

Well, 28 days from last ERTD will be on Monday, but i think i may have OV'd a week later, but i'm not sure.

Wanna come do my housework too?

babylann · 25/02/2011 18:08

I WAS due to POAS but DP forgot to buy a test on his way home from work last night... so I'll be testing tomorrow. Words cannot describe how frustrating it is to have to wait again!

If I'm not pg, then I'm unbelievably late and beginning to think my body's just decided it's not in the mood for ERTDs for a few months again. Maybe I've just got a 60 day cycle of something. If so, I'm probably ovulating round about now. Grin

babylann · 25/02/2011 18:11

Sorry, I meant to say 90 day cycle. Don't know how 3 months translated into 60 days in my head.

caramelgirl · 25/02/2011 18:49

Sounds like most of us are in a cheery Friday night mood. And hope for those of you who are feeling the glum that the weekend helps. I am staying at my parents for a couple of weeks whilst DH abroad with work.
Frustrating as makes for no JSing so not even a chance to symptom spot. Plus parents are suddenly v loved up (after 35 years of being married and being v grumpy to each other for most of it). Plus I don't have internet access unless they are out.
But they do take on alot of DD work so I get to sit around recreating my lazy teenage self. Which is nice for everyone.
Lizzy so sorry to hear your news- I think that you sound like a really lovely thoughtful person, not wanting to tell your mum because of ofsted. Hope that you have had a very restorative half term.
And yes babylann I think that just knowing that you are TTC can mess up your cycle. Certainly for me, but it doesn't seem very fair at all does it? I am definitely contemplating buying those sticks but can't imagine I'd manage to poas every single morning- that really would make me feel pressured and unromantic surely.
Right, off to raid parents' wine stocks- definitely pluses to staying at theirs...

Is it proper ERTD nelly ? Welcome back by the way, and hope your horse is on the mend soon!

Just wondering if you should poas just in case it wasn't a period... Hmm

NervousNelly · 25/02/2011 21:32

I'm pretty sure it's proper :(. Very faint smearing on day 21, spotting brown then on to red yesterday, but tampon-requiring by bedtime, and still proper full-on today. Only thing is that I don't have period pains or the usual PMS need to kill, but hey ho my body appears to be playing tricks and that's too small a difference to count Hmm.

I admit when I first saw the early spotting I confidently thought "Ah HAAA. Implantation for sure". But I'm fairly sure 24 hours+ is way too much for anything other than ERTD.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up though Grin.

kateepie2 · 25/02/2011 21:43

Well keep an eye on it, bodies are funny things aren't they?

babylann · 25/02/2011 22:42

I hope your horse makes a good recovery soon nelly. And yeah, caramel, it's not fair at all! Have a completely normal cycle for the entire of my life until I decide to TTC and suddenly boom, it starts playing tricks on me.

By the way, I know this isn't that kind of thread but, out of curiosity - I used to have a 35 day cycle. Does this mean I should technically ov for longer than someone who has 28 days cycle?
