The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome!

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Glad you all seem to be happy here, and looking forward to the weekend. Mine will also involve a couple of drinks. DP and I are well back on track and have even managed to JS a couple of times, although it's not my "window" for a week. Such fun though!

Got my letter to go for a smear test today. Hate them, so will wait until Monday to make the appointment!

nooo, smears are okay now! they use a brush instead of a scraper and it doesn't hurt.

Thanks nickel. I knew mine was about due, but was trying to forget about it! I've got my worry head on though - if the test was in a couple of weeks, and I had conceived, would it still be okay, or should I just write this month's TTC off? Sorry for even thinking that far ahead!

i think you're not allowed to have one if you're pg.

I would book it for a week after your period, and don't have sex before then, because then you'll know you're okay.

Well, i've had a productive day - manshape and i have set a date for our wedding!!

Congrats on setting your date Dee. Might be good to have something else to focus on than TTC. Youi might have to buy a wedding dress with an elasticated waist though, just in case!
Well, after all my good intentions to cut out binge drinking and get fit and healthy whilst TTC so that I'm in the best possible shape when I'm upduffed..... last night I got trolleyed and rounded the night off with curry n chips at 2am Oh well, should make the most of being able to have spontaneous drunken nights out while we still can !

Congrats on setting your date dee we haven't got round to that yet, only been engaged 4 years... still put my foot down and said that I am no way getting married whilst pregnant... I want to be able to drink at my own wedding

Had a fun weekend, ended up at my local walk in centre after three days of excruciating trapped wind style pain. Was told that it was just everything 'knitting' so now have image of baby sitting in there with sharp knitting needles and giving me a dig [hmmm]. On the plus side, my urine sample produced a BFP straight away, despite being the 27th pee of the day!

Anyhoo, just to say, enjoy your and whilst you can, I am now firmly on decaff earl grey, and the merest sniff of wine makes me want to hurl... ahh the glamours and joy of pg.

it completely took me by surprise!
yesterday morning, i thought, i don't even know when my period's due - must be about a week or so from now, but i don't think i've ovulated (i've been getting quite severe ovulation symptoms)

bless DH, though, he's decided that his sperm is crap!
all those years flushing it down the toilet...

Is it worth getting some ovulation piss sticks for next month? Might give you chance to do some more targetted shagging?

Just saying cos I assumed I was a 14 day ov, 28 day cycle girl, and wasn't... so think we had missed it in previous months.

for the last couple of months we have ahem Jsed quite a number of times before the estimated ovulation date.
DH said he was "shagged out"

I don't know exactly what the aim is - i think we were going for every other day for a week before ovulation, and then we did it a couple of times the next week just to be sure.

Every other day seems to be the ideal, as you then don't end up going, oh no, not again ! and sperm production is at its peak. How long is your cycle? Maybe you are starting too early?

We did 3 times before and twice after if that helps.

Tell DH he can have a rest when you get upduffed, you won't be feeling like it for a bit!

I think i may have ovulated on Saturday. Years ago, before i had DD i could always tell when i was due to ov - i'd wake up with a screaming headache, and then sometime that day i'd have a shooting pain in my lower tummy for a few mins and then that'd fade and so would my headache. That happened on Sat, so i'm hoping it was ov. If that is the case then that'd mean i wouldn't be due to test til about the sixth March or so. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime, i've wedding plans to occupy me We're hoping to get the 30th July 2012. Just a small registry office do, with close friends and selected family My dress will be black, and my best friend is going to be my MOH, my neice my bridesmaid and DD will be flowers girl. They shall all wear white with an accent of both black and either deep purple or teal. Manshape, DS2 & 3 will have waistcoats in the accent colour. We're going to get married late afternoon, and then go straight into an evening reception with a buffet type thing. Children will be very very welcome, and i daresay copious ammounts of alcohol will be consumed
