A continuation of so many threads spent waiting to ttc that I've completely forgotten what number thread we're on.

If you're waiting to ttc, stop by and say hello! Smile

Right, I'm back!

DD has decided that our living room needs redecorating! DH is going to go mental! Have tried to clean the black pen off the pale pink walls...not really happening! Confused Trouble is it's not wipeable paint (was painted pre DD when these things aren't a consideration) so if I scrub it it's just rubbing the paint off!!

Made some soup which I shall have for dinner while DH & DD tuck into a chicken curry! Envy

Darcies - hope you are having a lovely day & being spoilt. I was 28 on my last birthday too (November), how time flies!!

JS - WOW you are a busy bee in this new job! See it as a good sign that they are obviously so confident in your abilities that they are trusting you with all that work so soon after starting, although you must have been there a while now?

With DHs workload increasing & seeing how upset & stressed it's making him, TTC seems even further away. I started out on this thread actually waiting for an agreed TTC date, and now I'm just waiting because that's all I can do! :( Wait, wait & wait some more!

AstroZola · 08/02/2011 15:52

Happy birthday Darcie

I get to have my new dog for almost 2 wks tomorrow...i'm rehoming her next month so she's coming to stay with me to get used to living with us and our dog and cat. She's beautiful. She's called Narla. I can't wait to have her. I've know her for a long time, she's my previous boss' dog. He's now moving away and can't take her with him so i'm having her because i love her. Yay.

I also just got my new netbook today for my birthday! Yay!

DH left the room again last night when i decided to watch OBEM. Oh well. He's still not sure about the baby thing and seems to have gone off the boil about it recently leaving me feeling slightly sad about it all again. Damn. Sad

College tomorrow - yay....hated being at work today...been feeling pretty miserable today...the depression better not be gaining on me again...i'm weaning off my meds at the moment. Ha ha...in the hope to TTC for a baby that i might not even be able to have!

BoobyMcLeaky · 08/02/2011 15:55

Hi all, new to the board.

We have a DD who is one and we're waiting until DH is back from being away with work (until april) and I'm back at work to start TTC.

DH wanted to TTC before he left in January, but I didn't want to be pregnant and on my own with DD (although it will probably take ages again).

BabyMaking2011 · 08/02/2011 21:08

arrrrr a 3 days into the "must lose post wedding weight gain prior to getting up the duff". and i dont like it. i like cake. im fairly sure imaginary baby to be would like cake too. pffft.

bebejones · 08/02/2011 21:29

I like cake too...I make alot of cake! As AC, JS & Quod will testify to! But I did manage to lose 4.5stone last year in an effort to get baby 'fit'...not that it's done me any good Hmm Maybe DH doesn't fancy me now I'm skinnier?!?! Confused The trick is to not eat lots of cake, a little bit of cake is good for you, especially if it has jam in, that counts as one of your 5-a-day! :o Wink

Tsil · 08/02/2011 21:55

Hi all

I'm a bit late to the thread hope you don't mind a newbie. I have been waiting 18 months to TTC, and just tonight have finally got DH to agree to starting in May as we have a big holiday then for his 30th. ATM we have been using FAM as contraceptive and this has worked for over 3 years (depo and the pill made me crazy moody).

We have been married 3 years together 8 and the biggest thing in our way was our mortgage but now we are in a family house and stable financially we have nothing in the way. Although I am sure DH might find some other reasons Grin

bebejones · 09/02/2011 08:57

Welcome Tsil, your situation sounds very similar to mine!

I've been waiting 18months to TTC (#2) DH & I have been married 3 years & together 8! My DH is yet to agree having changed his mind 3 times Hmm There is always 'something' that is an excuse!

JustShaggingForNow · 09/02/2011 09:41

morning all!!
bebe can I please quote you on the "jam in cake is one of your 5 a day"?!? I love that thought! I have tried to persuade DH that a glass of Wine is one of my 5 a day but he's not convinced!!!

Capreece · 09/02/2011 10:09

Ah jeez - three days into my pill-free week and still no period and I just got offered a job.

Long term unemployment was part of our reason for thinking of TTC. Life's what happens while you're busy making other plans, huh? :-D

eek.

Hello new people

JustShaggingForNow · 09/02/2011 10:45

Great news on the job offer Capreece! Funny how things all fall into place!

I forgot to mention earlier but I had a smear test last night and the nurse was really horrible :( I have them anually as I had early stagets of Cervical Cancer a few years ago and so I get quite nervous and very sensetive. She knew that from my notes but was really abrupt and rough with me.

I also asked her advice on the fact that 11 months after coming off the pill my cycles are still all over the place (ranging from 25-25 days and varying degrees of ov and period pain) and she just said - well everybody is different. That might be normal for you. Are you TTC? Well then don't worry about it.

Will be asking not to see her again!!

Capreece · 09/02/2011 10:56

Totally agree - she sounds pretty awful. All the nurses who've done my smears have been lovely - very gentle and considerate and I haven't got your history. I'd make a personal complaint if I were you - maybe the surgery could give her a refresher course in bedside manner or something. If you don;t complain it won't get dealt with.

You're English, yes? Write a nice strongly worded letter :-) It's in the genes ;-)

Right, better go have shower and pick out fabby outift for meeting work people today.
x

bebejones · 09/02/2011 11:27

Writing a letter...that's what English people do when they 'snap'! Wink :o

Well done on job Capreece! Life has a funny way of disrupting plans. My DH always says 'If you want to make God laugh, just tell him your plans!'

JS - what an awful experience for you. You definitely need to say something to the suregry or it won't get addressed.

2 of the 'mummies' at toddler group are pregnant. It's getting really hard to be happy & pleased the more people that get upduffed before me!!! It's not fair it should be my turn :(

JustShaggingForNow · 09/02/2011 13:48

Oh Bebe - that really sucks :( I know it's not any consolation but make yourself some nice non PG friendly food, pour a glass of wine and do other fun and lovely things you won;t be able to do when you get upduffed.

I think that we need to get the Gruffalo off the train and bring him to the beach. That way he can knock some sense into have a quiet chat with your DH Wink

candyshop · 09/02/2011 18:33

I know the feeling! A girl at work announced she was pregnant on Monday, I said "congratulations! Grin" when really I was Envy

Tsil · 09/02/2011 19:56

Bebe I know what you mean, when my sister told me she was pg I got off the phone and burst into tears. It makes me feel horrible when I can't be truly happy for them but I think it's normal. I just try to remind myself I am blessed in other ways and it will happen for me ( I hope).

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 09/02/2011 21:27

Congrats on the job caprecee

Had my coil out today Grin so monitor next 2 periods and then we'll be ready. Yay xx

JustShaggingForNow · 09/02/2011 22:09

Super exciting Darcies
Very exciting to only have 2 AFs to go through before you start TTC!!! I've got 3 more to go now (providing all goes to plan..... Famous last words!!!) so that is all very exciting!

Had fantastic yoga class so now feeling more relaxed and ready for the next 2 days work. DH is skiing this weekend (again- aren't I an accommodating wife?!? It's all part of the plan though to show how his life wouldn't be over if we had DCs!!!) so I'm off to my parents fir the weekend. Curry on Friday, 11mile training run with DSis on Saturday, girls night on Saturday night then chilled day seeing my Granny on Sunday before driving home. Can't wait.

What is everyone else up to this weekend??

Capreece · 09/02/2011 23:20

Family lunch in local pub for my Daddy's b-day on Sat, then POAS Sunday morning (if no period by then) and friends for lunch... which will be an interesting experience either way, but esp if turns out to be BFP...

bebejones · 10/02/2011 07:57

Darcies - How exciting!

JS - Fingers crossed it all goes to plan. Sounds like a lovely weekend planned :)

Capreece - Capreece, Fingers crossed for BFP (if that's what you want?!)

Consultants this morning, I'm so scared! :(

JustShaggingForNow · 10/02/2011 08:08

Bebe. Good luck with the consultant appointment this morning. I hope that all goes well. Capreece, incase i dont get online again before then, good luck with the test this weekend! FX :)

I just found out that a friend who lives in Hong Kong is pregnant with her 2nd :) but Envy. Not that it's relevant (other than in my head!!) but she is 3 years younger than me, only got married 3 months before me and is already onto PG#2. Im not even TTC yet.

Text DH and all he said was "things can't be very busy in HK!"
On the train to work and trying not to cry!!!

Capreece · 10/02/2011 09:07

Apologies in advance if TMI...

Now getting pinkish discharge - not sure if something in itself or just a slow starting period. Glad I didn't waste a test, anyway. Suspect matter may have been taken out of my hands and we'll be back to waiting to TTC.

Good thing I have the exciting new job to focus on or I'd be more upset about bye bye imaginary baby.

JustShaggingForNow · 10/02/2011 09:26

Capreece - totally sympathise with you going hormone loopy - I was there this time last month and it really does make you go insane :)

Withouth wishing to add to the symptom spotting / madness - could it possibly be implantation bleeding?!?!? Wink

Capreece · 10/02/2011 10:18

No idea - thought it was a bit late for that...

But then I am not as well informed on these matters as I no doubt will be in a few months :-)

Capreece · 10/02/2011 11:01

V bad cramps now. Bit miserable. Stupid, isn't it?

JustShaggingForNow · 10/02/2011 11:29

oh Capreece - I understand why you feel so rubbish :(

G&T? :)
