A continuation of so many threads spent waiting to ttc that I've completely forgotten what number thread we're on.

If you're waiting to ttc, stop by and say hello! Smile

I know. I don't really like her but it was horrible hear about it. I can't believe only 2 months to go and it can still happen. It really makes you worry. Do you think there's a higher risk of this if you're older then? I need to get a crack on if so!

So exciting about the coil removal. I can't wait until that is me!!! x

AstroZola · 06/02/2011 18:51

RE: Above post!! I cross posted with minipie. To clarify I was talking about Amanda Holden. Bebe - that could have been a really offensive and confusing post! eek! Blush xxx

bebejones · 06/02/2011 19:21

Don't worry - I knew you meant Amanda Holden! Just so awful for her, they lost a baby a while back as well didn't they? Think it might be higher risk but nothing is a certainty. Lily Allen lost her baby at 6months & she's about my age I think. Scary stuff & just heartbreaking!

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 06/02/2011 21:28

Think it can happen what ever age you are.

More sleep for DP - according to him right now he's listening to the TV even tho he's snoring! How does that work?! He wasn't even interested in something more energetic tonight :(

But hey ho, coil removal tomorrow and my birthday Tuesday :-)

JustShaggingForNow · 07/02/2011 09:56

Happy coil removal Darciesmum!

Hope that your appointment this week goes well bebe I agree that it is both good and bad that your DH can't make it to the consultants appointment. I am sure it will all go well though.

I had a nice relaxing weekend but have been having really strange abdominal pains this week. On Thursday adn Friday I had what felt like really horrible ovulation pains on my left hand side. For the last 5m months my ov pains have been on my right and were no way near as painful as these. I was doubled up and couldn't breathe it was so painful. Really odd! I then had what felt like really strong period pains on Saturday and Sunday but AF is not due for another week.

I keep on wondering if the exercise is having an impact as before I started the training for the half marathon I had a low body fat (just a shame it's all on my arse!!!) percentage and I guess that with all the training that has dropped a bit further. I hope that it's not messing up my cycles as that would be really unfair!!

DH mentioned children several times this weekend without any prompting so hopefully we are getting there!!

Firstly, he was reading Bath Life and they had a section on good prep schools in the area which he was very interested in reading to me. Then he made some comment about me only having to put up with the work situatiuon for a year at the most (work is not great sadly) and then we walked past the rec on Sunday morning and it was mini rugby and he said "one day that will be us!" Last night he also said that he hopes it won't take us too long when we start and that we better make sure we gets lotds of practice now! (Sorry if TIM!).

I didn't mention the whole TTC on hols thing (Where we are going isn't malarial so I don't have to worry about that) I'm just going to assume that we are still working to that plan Wink but I can't help getting excited that it is less than 11 weeks now untilk we start TTC!

Big (very un MN) Monday hugs to everybody - and sorry for the loooooong post! I can;t believe how fast things move on here and work is really getting inthe way of my MNing Angry!

bebejones · 07/02/2011 10:26

JS - so sorry you are not enjoying your new job. Is it better than working for BFH though? Exciting about the TTC plans. :)

Had to cancel dentist today due to having got DDs cold & hacking cough! Hmm Hoping it goes soon so I can re-book. So conscious of the sensitive tooth & worried it's only gonna get worse! :(

Good Luck today Darcies!

DH has got a mega busy week ahead & is already (spoke to him at 9am) grumpy & stressed about something. Just fed up of him being like this, his work is making our lives hell!

JustShaggingForNow · 07/02/2011 10:58

Oh bebe I can totally understand about your DH's job impacting you. mine was ina vile mood on Friday and Saturday because of work related stuff and it's really frustrating that they let it impact on home life isn't it?!?!

It is better than working for the BFH but they have gone form having 4 PAs and a marketing Manager to just 2PAs and so we are completely run off our feet, not helped by people who don't respond to phonecalls or emails and some totally inefficient processes! It drives me mad but I just keep telling myself that it's only for a short time!!!

Hope that your cough gets better

Capreece · 07/02/2011 13:09

Waiting till hubby finishes his probationary period at his brand new job (have to be careful how I phrase that as 'waiting till he finishes probation' has a rather different connotation!).

We upped sticks and moved two hours away for his to start the new job and I am still not working so it would kinda suck if they do ditch him after the 3 month probation, but it would suck more if I was pregnant... So... we wait.

However I am anxiously awaiting a period atm, as I missed a couple of pills at the beginning of the packet due to illness/house moving stress. Last pill taken yesterday and no signs of anything either way yet...

However a large group of friends have just started organising a group skiing holiday for next Jan which sounds like it'd be amazing fun so, if not pg this time, am wondering if it'd be daft to put off TTC just for a holiday (albeit probably the best one I've ever been on or would be likely to go on for many many years to come once we have kids...) If it was a beach holiday it'd be different, but I don't want to try skiing with a bump

And I can't talk to anyone about this because my mum is pushing for me to find a job and none of my friends have kids.

JustShaggingForNow · 07/02/2011 13:30

Oh Capreece

I can totalyl sympathise with you on the holiday front! Particularly a group ski trip, which will be so much fun :)

JustShaggingForNow · 07/02/2011 13:50

and I can't spell!!!

Capreece · 07/02/2011 13:52

lol :-D

Psammead · 07/02/2011 15:01

Hello!

New on this board.

We are waiting to TTC. We have one DD who is 13 months now.

We're waiting to start until July.

Nice to meet you all!

shouldnotbehere · 07/02/2011 16:16

Hello

DH and I will be TTC in January 2012. He has finally committed to a date, and I will hold him to it. DH and I are both self-employed and he has wanted to save up first, we're on a spree to earn as much as possible in next twelve months.

DH will be 34 and me 29, when first child is born.

I agree there is never a right time, but unfortunately I cannot persuade DH of this.

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 07/02/2011 18:16

Ok couldn't go today had to take DD to docs - she's alright just a cough but got called in after school as teacher was worried.

So weds it is now!

Welcome newbies Grin

candyshop · 07/02/2011 18:52

Evening all... wow its been a busy weekend on here!

bebe and justshagging I sympathise... my DP has been in a foul mood for weeks now - over worked, over stressed... I am too but try to leave it all at work so I can relax at home, kind of hard to do when DP is snapping at me all the time over the smallest of things! He really doesn't deal well with stress, and they do say you tend to take it out on those closest to you, but its still not very nice is it?!

Capreece some friends of ours are already talking about taking a trip over New Year, possibly skiing, and normally I'd jump at the chance but I haven't told them I'm hoping to be pregnant by then! Confused

AstroZola · 07/02/2011 20:05

Darcie - my birthday is on Thursday...Happy Birthday!! I'll be 28. God! That's seem so old now and I feel like i need to get moving with this child thing, especially if we have 2. eek. gotta go. too much to do. xxxx

cherrypiew3 · 07/02/2011 20:14

Evening all,

Seems like today has been a very long day with things going from bad to worse. However dh has now gone out and the dc have all gone bed (i am sure it is the dog i can hear running around upstairs and all the dc are fast asleepHmm)so i am going to settle down and watch obem because one day that will be me again.

shouldnotbehere we have set the date for jan 2012 also thats if we ever sell this house the longer its taking to sell the further the date gets pushed back.

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 07/02/2011 21:09

Astro I'll be 28 tomorrow too, I know what you mean when you say I feel old lol.

We agreed last year that i'd be 28 when I have child no 2 as hope to be married by time i'm 30 and would like my babies to be able to enjoy and be really part of the day with me :)

Quodlibet · 08/02/2011 10:48

Ooh more new people!

shouldnotbehere your situation sounds a little like ours; it's difficult when work is unpredictable isn't it?

We have had very very long ongoing conversations about how we will manage to best time TTC with our careers (my partner's is just taking off, I'm with you on 'there's no best time'). My DP said the other day (which surprised me massively) that he'd been thinking that maybe we should try to have a baby in December this year - which would mean starting to TTC next month Shock. His reasoning being that 'December is a quiet time of year' for his work so he'd be unlikely to be away touring. Still not sure it's quite sunk in with him that TTC is not like arranging to have a sofa delivered!

Still, massive progress as AC, bebe and JS will attest.

Bebe sorry your DH is stressed and you're ill.

JS I wonder if the reason your job hiring was such a massive feat of endurance was because they knew they were looking for the Super PA who could actually handle 2 people's work?

Capreece · 08/02/2011 10:59

Hrmm... still waiting for that period. Don't want to take a test until significantly late - have dragged poor DH through too many paranoid not-pregnancies.

Plus made a new contact yesterday that might lead to a job - life is definitely up in the air atm...

Nice to get it off my chest though - thank God for all you girls. Oh, and I'm 28 on my next birthday too, next month. Cheers m'dears!

x

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 08/02/2011 11:50

Happy Birthday to me Grin

Hope everyone is having a good day

Capreece fingers crossed for your BFP :)

JustShaggingForNow · 08/02/2011 11:58

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARCIE Wine

Quod you could be right there! Although there was no mention of the significant ammount of marketing in the interview!!

As well as looking after 2 very busy directors I am currently:

  • re-writing the divisional brochure
  • co-ordinating articles for the company magazine
  • designing stands for tradeshows
  • organising presence at 2 tradeshows
  • arranging the annual divisional awards programme and big fancy schmancy event in London
  • arranging a companywide occupatinoal health programme (covering the entire UK and Scotland!!)
  • updating the company intranet site and external website

PHEW - no wonder I'm feeling a bit run down!

bebejones · 08/02/2011 13:13
