Hi,

I had Implanon removed end of November, have had one period since and am currently on day 16. TTC #2. Used some OPKs over the weekend which were positive on Sunday and Monday morning so assuming I ovulated Sun or Mon perhaps tho this was my first time using them properly.

Anyone else due to test around the same time who wants to share (possibly non-existent!) symptoms? :)

Wow some BFPs!!!!

YAY for arabella and muffins and Sad for the BFNs (even for those who tested too early - naughty!)

Found the "perfect" solution for not symptom spotting :

  1. Have no symptoms (yep they've all gone)
  2. Work stupid hours (8am - 9pm most days this week - am still at work now)
  3. Have a migraine for 3 days (and counting) - the pain takes your mind off pregnancy beautifully and because you might just be pregnant you can't take any painkillers so the pain just does not go away

Can you tell I'm having a crappy day? Grin

I will still test on Sunday but am pretty convinced it's not my month. Don't know why. Not looking forward to another 2ww next month though...

ghosteditor · 20/01/2011 19:39

oh, boo. Feeling all crampy. Ruuubbish. Hmm.

BlueCrane · 20/01/2011 19:58

me crampy too Sad...but then I was last night and not again until tonight...odd...

KatyCustard · 20/01/2011 20:18

ghosteditor sorry, I've just seen your message wishing me luck, thank you that's lovely.

I thought I got AF today - teeny pale orange bleed and since then nothing. Normally Aunt Flo sets up camp immediately so maybe, just MAYBE its an implantation bleed? Please pretty please? Not due till 23rd-25th (I'm never really sure). I do have crampy pains but had them for about a week now. Am knicker- checking about every 5 minutes and nothing... boy I'm glad we can be so frank on Mumsnet!

Arabella and Muffins Grin Grin

( Muffins how jammy after 1 month of trying? Have I got that right?)

I'm so pleased for both of you, how exciting!!!!!

KatyCustard · 20/01/2011 20:20

oh and ghosteditor sorry about the crampiness - but you never know. It ain't over untill the fat lady sings. Or in this case Aunty Flo. I hate her singing tho, it's rubbish!!!!! Wink

Snakeears · 20/01/2011 20:55

Hi there guys,

good luck for you all. I eventually ovulated on day 24 and I'm pretty sure that menas that I'll have too short a lutheal (sp) phase for this to be the month for me - bit sad about it but ho hum.

So instead of testing on Monday I'm actually hoping that everything can hold on until next Thursday or Sat.

Good luck everyone else.

X

muffins · 20/01/2011 21:39

Like the sound of the cramps muffins...no sign of AF yet but cramps still on and off! And now both nipples are sore - never had that before that I can remember! Quite keen just to know now though! Confused

Really hope all goes well for all BFP's!!

BlueCrane · 20/01/2011 21:51

PS fluffy hope your endurance through the long hours of work and migraine pays off with a nice BFP!

KatyCustard · 20/01/2011 22:23

sorry to ask an icky question...

but what does spotting look like?

I've seen some people say it's brownish, but is it ever orangey? Sorry to be gross. Blush I'm just hoping against hope really.

I never had spotting with DD (6.9 years) tbh I've forgotten quite alot about being pregnant!

CazandBelle · 21/01/2011 08:41

Just been to the toilet and had a teeny tiny amount of pink tinged CM. hope this is a good sign, either that or AF is going to make an appearance earlier than I thought.

katy I'm hoping thats what spotting is supposed to look like!

KatyCustard · 21/01/2011 10:43

thanks cazandbelle

Unfortunately tho it appears that it is not spotting at all but AF three days early! Angry

Pants and double pants.

Hope yours is spotting though!

CazandBelle · 21/01/2011 10:55

:( sorry to hear that katy hope next month is your month xx

BlueCrane · 21/01/2011 10:57

Sad for you katy hope the cramps and usual inconvenience of AF aren't too bad for you this month! Only good thing about a shorter cycle is that it's a shorter wait with the 2ww next month!

We have some chocolate brownies and cupcakes floating around if you fancy one

eastegg · 21/01/2011 11:29

Hello all. Sorry about your news katy. Fingers crossed caz and of course everyone else still in limbo.

This is getting a bit rubbish now. Think I'm going to test tomorrow morning although I haven't actually bought one yet. My local choices are Tesco Express (don't think they'll have much!) Superdrug or independent chemists. Any particular brand recommendations? Used Clearblue last time but I was already almost 8 weeks PG so it could hardly have got it wrong! Had been on holiday, sure I was PG but not able to test. I digress as usual...

Still no obvious symptoms other than windiness/trapped wind (sorry). Really irritable today but DS was up early therefore both tired and could just be that (or AF obv). DS asleep now thank goodness. My feeling is I'm not PG and cycle just messed up, which is a bit of a double whammy as can't move on while waiting for AF! I'll stop rambling and wait to test.

amummyinwaiting · 21/01/2011 11:42

Hi Everyone,
waves to Katie
I have an bit of an unpredictable cycle but last month was 24 days and now I'm on day 26 and no AF.
I said I wouldn't test til day 30 but now I'm itching to in one way.In the other tho I have a horrible feeling I'm not and I like thinking I might be so kepe holding back from testinf (does that make sense?)
I have v painful boobs and my stomach feels bubbly.
We are ttc #1 and have been trying since October but this is our 1st "proper" month.
Thats pretty much everything about me really!
Wishing us all lots of luck!

eastegg · 21/01/2011 11:50

Welcome amummy! Sounds hopeful. Although it's rubbish isn't it when you don't know quite when to expect AF? Well done for waiting til now, not long now!

ghosteditor · 21/01/2011 13:43

hey everyone, hi to amummy!

Still feeling a bit pre-menstrual but no sign of AF which isn't really due until Monday anyway. Massively convinced that it won't happen for us this month, but obviously there's niggling doubt until AF arrives. Even then, I know a few friends who had monthly bleeding for several months into pregnancies (hence why one of them didn't find out she'd conceived first time until she was past 3 months). But telling myself this kind of thing isn't any good, because mostly a period is just a period! ARGH!

Anyways I have a fab weekend lined up starting with spending tonight at a friend's house with her gorgeous 14 mo DD! So hopefully the weekend will take my mind off it all...

Good luck for the remaining uncertain people on the list, and good health to those with BFPs!

KatyCustard · 21/01/2011 14:42

hello amummyinwaiting good to see you here.

You describe exactly the dilema I go through every month.

Thanks for the brownies and cupcakes *bluecrane

My friend suggested I enjoy eating lots of pate and soft cheese aswell - so there's a ripe brie in the fridge with my name on it!

Good luck to those still waiting!

BuffyFairy · 21/01/2011 21:41

Hi,

Yay for the BFP's, that's wonderful news! :o

Sorry to those with BFN's and wishing you massive luck for next month.

I have my test ready and waiting for the morning. I can't wait any longer! Trying First Response this time. I think I'm testing 1 day early but not 100% sure, no regular cycle. It will be day 34.

Enjoy the brie Katy.

BuffyFairy · 22/01/2011 10:05

Morning.

So I did the test, BFN :(

Day 34 and no AF yet. The last cycle was 37 days. So maybe there's a tiny chance but not looking hopeful.

Hope some others have better news.

BlueCrane · 22/01/2011 11:07

Hey Buffy ...surely it's not over until AF arrives?!?

I'm hoping AF doesn't come to visit today which is when she's due! If not then will test tomorrow...

KatyCustard · 22/01/2011 11:21

Fingers and toes still crossed for you all! Smile

localcrackpot · 22/01/2011 11:22

I'm due on 26th. Hoping madly. Trying not to get too caught up in it but totally failing!

amummyinwaiting · 22/01/2011 11:32

Ah thank you all for your lovely welcome.
I did a test last night and it was bfn :(
Really thought this was it this time.
But still no period!
It's horrible easteg I would just like to have an ish normal one for a few months! At one point my cycles lasted 12 days so this is progress!
