Hi,

I had Implanon removed end of November, have had one period since and am currently on day 16. TTC #2. Used some OPKs over the weekend which were positive on Sunday and Monday morning so assuming I ovulated Sun or Mon perhaps tho this was my first time using them properly.

Anyone else due to test around the same time who wants to share (possibly non-existent!) symptoms? :)

Well, I tested at last and it was positive. Really weird feeling. Haven't much time as at busy at home with DH and DS. Back soon. Good luck everybody.

daimbardiva · 22/01/2011 15:32

Ahhh, did a test this morning and BFP!!! So excited, but nervous too, and trying to control my excitenment as mc at 6 weeks last time...I feel better about this one though. Fingers crossed for all the rest of you.

So sorry amummyinwaiting - I was rooting for you :( xxx

lalabaloo · 22/01/2011 16:06

Congratulations! to all the BFPs Smile and sorry to all the BFNs :(

I did another test Thursday and still BFN but then I know it was still too early, I'm just waaaaay too impatient. AF is due on Friday I think, but starting to really doubt myself now with dates Confused My boobs are horrendously sore, so sore that rolling over in bed is painful and I have considered wearing a bra in the bath so that they don't hurt so much! Sorry, you didn't need to know that but I needed to tell someone who knows how it feels, DH doesn't take boob-ache particularly seriously! I'm also really really tired but then I go through phases of tiredness anyways. I keep thinking I am pregnant but then think that if I was I would somehow feel really different and I don't :( If my Friday AF prediction is right then I could test tomorrow with a Predictor test, but don't want to depress myself if I got my AF date wrong. The tests say they can be used 5 days before AF due, has anyone had any experience with these tests? For the record I know they don't work one and a half weeks or one week and one day before AF Blush

BuffyFairy · 22/01/2011 18:26

Thanks for the positivity Blue!

Wow, congratulations daimbardiva, fingers crossed it all goes well. And eastegg too, it has been a lucky thread.

I did that really stupid thing of fishing the test out of the bin a few hours later to find an really faint second line. I know it says you mustn't look at a negative result after 10 mins. Such an idiot, why did I do it! Blush

CazandBelle · 22/01/2011 19:02

wow more BFPs! congratulations! :) lets hope there's a few more! :)

sorry to hear of BFNs, wishing you all the luck next time around. xx

Well we're going to test on Tuesday.

Had a few slight cramps today, well more like sensations really. I keep going to the toilet knicker checking incase AF is coming early! lol! I vaugly remember these sorts of "I think I'm coming on" type feelings before I tested for DD and was surprised by the BFP. Its so annoying that early pregnancy and AF due symptoms are so simular!! It gets you all wound up doesn't it!!

Unicornlover · 22/01/2011 20:39

I'm now 11dpo and already bit sicky and very tender boobs. fatigue has also hit me. did one of these online probability tests that came back at 80% but will just have to wait and see if it's accurate. ended up POAS with FMU yesterday, just to see if anything would show. not sure if i imagined the very very faint line. so am going to retest probably monday to see if anything comes up then.

amummyinwaiting · 22/01/2011 21:57

ah thanks daimbardiva and congratulations to you!
Just wish it would turn up now as it just makes me keep thinking there ight be a slight chance of it being a positive tht just hasn't come through on the test-how sad am I?
Just feel so miserable about it. I mean we had sex every other day fgsake- al round the time I should have ovulated. So then I start thinking there must be something wrong with me and I will never have a baby and its all I want :(

amummyinwaiting · 22/01/2011 21:59

God just read that comment back and relised how miserable and pathetic I sounded!Must be the comiseration bottle of wine I have had! Very sorry to everyone!
Shuffles off to get another glass f wine and to remind myself that this thread is not all about me!

muffins · 23/01/2011 07:16

Congrats to eastegg and daimbardiva wishing you both happy and healthy pregnancies x

Sorry to hear of the bfns. Big hugs xxx

amummyinwaiting you really don't need to apologise, that's what this thread is for. I really hope it happens soon for you :) x

cazandbelle good luck for Tuesday I have def had loads of af type cramps so sounding good x

as for me I tested with a digital today which said pregnant one to two weeks. Believe it a bit more now I've seen it in writing :) still got af type cramps, had a bit of nausea yesterday and slightly sore boobs but they come and go (the soreness not the boobs obviously!)

Morning all!! Well it was all go on here yesterday!! HUGE Congrats to all the BFP's Grin and hang in there to all those BPN's and still waiting!

As for me I'm now CD32 of UCL30 and was at a friends all day yesterday...had to blame the fact that her tea bags were stronger than ours for the number of times I went to the loo! a) because I just needed to pee so often and b) because I was desperate to see if AF was coming to visit like she was supposed to!! Blush

Still no sign of AF but BFN when I POAS with FMU this morning Sad! Feel rotten though...SO SO tired, AFy type cramps on and off, sore nipples and felt v sick last night (though that could've just been eating too much for dinner!)...so the wait continues!

For all those moaning the similarity of AF symptoms to those of PG I am totally with you!! SO frustrating!

Icoulddoitbetter · 23/01/2011 14:37

HI all, and congrats to all the BFP's / comiserations to the BFN's.

My symptoms are definitely getting more AG-like, which is due tomorrow Sad so I'm not holding out much hope. Still having to stop myseld from buying more tests. I almost did telling myself I wouldn't use one until at least wed and that if AF turns up then I can use them next month. But I wouldn't, would I?! I'd have used it yesterday, and again today.........

Still the fat lady hasn't sung yet.

Icoulddoitbetter · 23/01/2011 14:38

Oops! More AF like, or course..!

secretlywishing · 23/01/2011 17:12

congrats to the bfp's, sorry to hear of the bfn's

im a bfn aswell, but 1 wk late. no period and still feel pregnant, another week to wait til i see gp, so long as af doesnt see me 1st

god waiting is soooooooo hard :(

xx

BlueCrane · 23/01/2011 17:51

hmmm...really hope I don't have to wait a week with no AF and BFN's as well...sorry to hear that secretly what a pain! Sad

Going to try and resist testing again tomorrow and try and wait until tues/wed if AF doesn't arrive first!

secretlywishing · 23/01/2011 23:34

Well if I don't get af ill re tested and examined god I'm nervous. Just wish I had an answer. I have to submit Monday and see her Tuesday ish

Keep us posted blue

Xx

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 07:53

Didn't test this morning as couldn't face another BFN and knowing I'd just peed on £5 when I could just be patient and wait for AF/for a few more days by which time (hopefully if AF not arrived) I might get a BFP! Certainly wasn't expecting to get BFN's after AF not appeared Sad very frustrating!! I feel your pain secretly!!

Poor DH keeps saying how down I've been the last few days and is worried cause I've been so exhausted...think the emotional strain of waiting rather takes it out of you!!

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 07:59

PS How's everyone else getting on? There must be some more due to test anytime now if the evil one hasn't come to visit already? Smile

ghosteditor · 24/01/2011 09:29

congrats to the many people with BFPs! This is one very lucky thread ;)

Well, unfortunately for me AF turned up three days early, somewhat getting in the way of my birthday weekend plans and making me a wee bit grumpy. Perked up a lot when my birthday afternoon tea arrived though! (On a different note - have just seen the photos from the party and definitely need to lose some weight! bit of a wake up call!)

Commiserations on the BFNs and AFs this weekend, but thoroughly pleased for all of you with positive tests!

sunface · 24/01/2011 09:34

Hi all, back online today. Can't believe there have been so many BFPs! ghosteditor sorry about AF turning up :( but glad you had a lovely birthday regardless!!!!

Bluecrane are you now late? reason i'm asking is i'm now a day or 2 late and too scared in a way to test, think i'm going to leave it another 2 days (birthday this week too!) and then see what's what. My normal cycle is 28-29 days and i'm now on day 30...... I also had a MC last year very early on, so in some way i don't want to test too early for fear of it happening again, if that makes sense!

CazandBelle · 24/01/2011 10:20

Morning girls.

Sorry to hear about AF ghost - finger crossed that next month is your month.

lots of luck to everyone else still waiting either way too.

I'm testing tomorrow morning. very nervous, impaitent, excited.

Snakeears · 24/01/2011 10:21

Hi there,

had to check in today - congrats to everyone with BFPs - very lucky thread and hope next time is the right time for anyone with BFNs. I thought I would test today originally but I only ovulated on CD24 and today is CD28 so hanging on in there ...no AF as yet but I think it's unlikely!

I'm sure we'll all get there eventually good luck xx

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 10:36

sunface yes, I am now late as was due on Saturday! But...slight complication has arisen this morning! Have been feeling pretty rotten for last week anyway and then on saturday felt as though something was permanently stuck in my throat...went to docs this morning and turns out I have tonsilitis Sad!! Doc took one look at my throat and pronounced it, then took my temp and turns out I have a fever too!! I explained that we were TTC and AF was late and she a) gave me PG safe antibiotics and b) made some interesting comments re testing which I'll post here for all that may be interested!!

I was quite suprised that AF late and still had a BFN yesterday but the doctor said that's not uncommon as the PG hormone takes a while to get up to speed! Apparently the base level is 5 in all of us...then once PG it doubles every 48 hours...HPT's pick it up once it's about 40 but the NHS tests don't pick it up til it's reached about 100!!

Of course, now I'm wondering whether all my 'symptoms' have just been the tonsilitis and that could also be delaying AF ...grrrr... will just have to wait and see Hmm and test again wed/thurs if AF not here sooner! But am also utterly Confused about what's a symptom of what?!?!

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 10:38

PS caz how are you feeling now?

CazandBelle · 24/01/2011 10:46

ah blue sorry to hear tonsillitis got you too. It really is miserable. I'm feeling much better though thank you. I finally started feeling well again on Saturday!

Interesting stuff about the testing.

sunface · 24/01/2011 10:50

oh bluecrane hope you are feeling better soon and the antibiotics start working quickly. Glad you are feeling a bit better cazandbelle

Interesting about the preg hormones, think i'll def leave testing for a few days yet! i'm feeling kinda AF like today, so who knows, maybe she's just going to come late this month... Good luck all x
