Hi Terrys I think I was on charters at the same time as you a while back. So sorry to hear about your loss. I'm afraid I dont have any useful information about this either, my periods never returned after mc and it turned out I have Ashermans Syndrome. I am being treated now though and will be able to TTC shortly. Looking forward to finding out what my cycle is like.

wombat sounds like a good plan with the bloods and scan. I think anything you can do to feel proactive helps. Otherwise the worry just keeps creeping up on you. Hope you get the reassurance you need. xxx

Dach it must be really hard to stay positive, but you must!! You only need one of those eggs to be a good one xxx

YRMOTB I loved giving birth actually (well until the third stage, nasty labour ward nursed messed things up at that point) I laboured at home and went to the hospital 10cm dilated ready to push! Would love the opportunity to do it again, ideally at home in the water, but I think cesarian is more realistic bearing in mind the possible complications that I would have Sad Still, baby is the goal, not the birth experience. xxx

Got my HSG slides back and the report says "all clear" as I knew it would. As it was done by non AS experts it doesnt mean anything though, next step is to send it to my doc in London (and if he doesnt answer the one in the states)

I am on the verge of another big decision. I am thinking about postponing TTC until next month, in order to give my endometrium a chance to recover properly. The HSG made me bleed quite a bit, and if the lining is on the thin side I cant afford to lose a drop! If I get pregnant with a thin lining I am at risk of getting placenta acreta or increta or previa. Still not decided yet, I may just get scanned and see how the lining is doing and then decide.

forgot to say Izz fab news on the weight loss!! xxx

Mamapower · 14/01/2011 14:45

Mamapower · 14/01/2011 14:47

Mummy x-posts, glad the results are back and hope you get a swift reply from the consultant... keep us posted

Mamapower · 14/01/2011 14:48

ps just noticed we're on 905 posts and at the rate we chatter we're gonna be needing a new thread soon, was it Izzy who wanted the next one?? Can't remember!

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 15:00

Can I just say, I love my local clinical genetics service counsellor! She just called me and made me feel so much more in control. She told me all the scans they're going to do on me if the pg continues to try and identify if the little one had genetiic abnormalities, and she said that if on the other hand I MC again, they will try and arrange for some testing to be done (genetic testing on the conceptus rather than MC-related testing on me) so at least I feel like something positive comes out of the loss for the benefit of any future pg. Sounds really morbid and defeatist, but like Mummya rightly says, I feel so much better feeling like I have some kind of proactive plan in either event. Rah!! I will survive!! Smile

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 15:03

PS I'm all suspender-ed, pompom-ed and everything-crossed-yoga-posed up and in my state of emotional confusion I can't for the life of me remember who is poas-ing/pre-menstral/pre-BFP raging/temp increasing/egg fertilising-ly close to a BFP. But I'm sending good vibes to you all!!!

Hello everyone! And thanks pink for noticing I was missing. I really love this thread and everyone on here is so warm and helpful. Unfortunately I just can't keep up! I'm hoping that when I get a smart phone it'll be easier.

I'll keep checking in on you all. Fx for lots of good things coming your way Smile.

BackOnceAgain · 14/01/2011 15:42

And as for the pmt/upduff situation Confused but I seriously doubt it....

Wombat good for you, your positive outlook is fabulous and you put me to shame today.< PMA PMA PMA>

mummya what a dilemma for you Confused would it really make much of a difference to wait? And can you talk it through with a HP to see if it would? ((hugs))

MummyAbroad · 14/01/2011 15:47

Hi BOA Would it make a difference? That is the million dollar question! Different doctors have different opinions and I have had my head in papers and articles all morning. Whats HP? Sorry if I am being thick...

Here is a video to cheer you up and chase away PMT bad mood

Hi ochaye there is no pressure to keep up, (its impossible to keep up with everyone all the time, this thread is Huuuuuuge) just pop in when you like!

Chloe55 · 14/01/2011 16:11

Ha ha MummyA I love that, it reminds me of those adverts on the tv where people randomly break into song in the middle of tube stations and stuff - would love to witness/be part of something like that.

Having a really shitty day myself. These ovary pains have returned with a vengeance so I have rung the doc to see if it is normal and have to wait til after 5 to ring them back to see if they have an answer. In the meantime I did that stupid stupid thing known as 'googling' Blush and have put myself on a real downer. The consultant had mentioned clomid has been known to contribute to miscarriages as it thins the lining and makes the CM hostile to sperm Confused but also just read my statistics of mc with having PCOS and it is 68% likely - it's 12% likely in healthy women. Just feeling really disheartened now, seems everything is against me even if I do fall pg. Getting myself all worked up again now as don't think I have the energy to go through it all again Sad

Ok ok, slap me with the stinkiest one you've got.......

Oh, has anyone seen a counsellor post mc? Having more lapse days than not at the moment and it's been 5 months.

nickstermum · 14/01/2011 16:16

hi all, Im fine thanks.

mamap POAS? fab on the buy x

mummy well done on gritting your nashers and bearing it! Good news x

YRM POAS?

pink thinking of you today, hope getting past it is easier than the run up. xx

Dachs 10 eggs is awesome well done xxx heres hoping for a good few embryos!

wombat i hope you get sonme answers from the hcg have you poas a digi to get 3+ weeks yet? might help? Its shit the limbo of not knowing :(

orange hope all settled down x

I am ok. Work been mental, lots of teething problems with new client! Also to keep my mind from doing overtime about mentalling bout potential MC Ive tried to give myself a break for a little while. DH told me if i kept imagining MC i would turn into a self fulfilling prophecy... bit harsh but kind of got a point!!! So that plus not having time to scratch my arse is why i havent been about.

sayng that i am 10+ 3 sicky fat and proud.
have put on a stone which is probably due to 8 weetabix a day!! fatty lardarse scan on 24th scared stiff!

Sorry for not namechecking everyone too many peeps to remember xx

nickstermum · 14/01/2011 16:17

/terrys also meant to say hiya, hope you are ok xx

Izzy dont lose too much weight lovely you dont need to x

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 16:21

10+3 Nix Whoop!!! I got 3+ last saturday (at 5wks by LMP, or 4+4 by ov date, so that was good). I'm going to poa-digi-s again tomorrow morning and see if it still says 3+. I know these things aren't an exact science though.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 14/01/2011 16:25

For those feeling beyond the reach of zen right now - BOA and Chloe - big (((hugs))) and a Happy Friday glass of wine (no it's not too early!). Chloe I didn't go for counselling but I know a few girls on here did so hopefully they'll be along soon to share their experiences.

mummya tricky decision - I have no idea of the pros and cons (medically) of waiting. Why don't you wait and see what the scan shows?

wombat glad you're feeling a bit better, just take it one day at a time!

And yes mamap I think its my turn for the thread next, so will try to watch out for the number of posts on this one...I can't believe we're filling them so quickly!! Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 14/01/2011 16:26
MummyAbroad · 14/01/2011 16:35

whoohoo for 10+3!! Thats a good way in, not long till that 12 week scan.xxx

Chloe are you being monitored for Chlomid? I dont have any experience with it myself by some ladies over on the Recurrent Buns thread have used it, and I gather side effects are quite harsh. Poor you. Are you taking it at night? thats supposed to help you not notice the side effects too much.

loola2snowshus · 14/01/2011 16:40

Chloe Have Drs mentioned over stimulation? Are you bloated? I think you should try to arrange a scan... I had clomid x3 cycles btw x

loola2snowshus · 14/01/2011 16:42

Chloe sorry to post again but skim reading! I have PCOS too and 2 out of my 3 pgs have been fine, my MC was a blighted ovum which would have nothing to do with PCOS, hope that makes you feel a bit better?

MummyAbroad · 14/01/2011 16:47

Chloe I saw a counsellor, it was someone that DH and I had seen before when he was having medical problems and it was affecting our relationship. I think counselling is really useful if it is with the right person. You should make sure you have a good raport and try to establish some goals in the first session. What do you want to get out of it and in what time frame? If you dont like the counsellor, then change, they are all different and you need to find one you feel comfortable with or it doesnt work. Also try to ask in advance what their specialist area is, or look up the miscarriage association online and get a specialist mc one through them.

I think its quite common to feel very low at the 5 month mark, I know I did. Things do get better with time, but IMO counselling helps you get there quicker. xxxx

loola2snowshus · 14/01/2011 17:11

Hi all,

WW3 was eventually difused last night! DH dcs, lots of bubbles and water do not equal a tidy bathroom Grin

Its my day off today, but I'm knackered, day full of a mixture of PTA duties and groceries has worn me out! Nice cold glass of wine or 3 and a takeaway tonight me thinks!

I am now 7dpo and have been getting a funny crampy backache feeling for last 24hours, rreally hoping AF isn't rearing her ugly head already! I would link my chart if I knew how...

loola2snowshus · 14/01/2011 17:13

Oooh PS do you think there is some medical reason for the 5 month marker blues? Its just we all seem to be getting it then? It was 5 month on the 6th for me Sad

nickstermum · 14/01/2011 17:23

Loola that would be 8 [EIGHT] weetabix per day, 2 x 4, one in the morning and one at bedtime which is not so bad Grin

Off for a family outing of swine flu jabs in half an hour. They arent doing kids this year but cos DS has a history of pneumo problems he is classed as high risk. DH is asthmatic and of course i am diffed.. DS does not want to go....:(

OrangeGloss · 14/01/2011 17:25

EvenIng everyone, I've managed to lose 2 pounds this week Confused dh's answer was to give me a biscuit Hmm I'm feeling a bit weird ATM, my boobs are sore and nausea is starting, and I haven't bled (only brown spots) since Monday. I'm so desperate for the scan but so scared there'll be nothing to see :(

Sorry I've just been lurking and not posting, I'm not in a very good place
