WIGGLE Just thinking Mamap might help too, I think that she had probs with progesterone or LP and consultant said that it was nothing to worry about? (sorry mamap if not you, there are so many of us now I get confused!)

I am just about to catch up but saw Wiggle was in a pickle so quick message: Hon, don't panic, until this very cycle and post mc I was ov on day 17/18 and my cycle had shortened from 28 to 25 so my LP was avg 7/8 days. I was told by my GP that the stuff regarding this on the internet is, for want of a better word, bollox! The length of the LP is only relevant if your progesterone levels don't rise after ov but given you have conceived it is more than likely that is ok!
I emailed a copy of an email between myself and one of the country's leading fertility specialists to Pink yesterday, it covers my issue regarding my short LP and he reassures that this is of no concern. I am more than happy to email it to you as well (just message me your email address) as it also names the tests he would start with if I have not conceived by June. xx

emoo thanks, i have to admit i thought i'd be the only one who's dh wasn't all for it. And although i'm sorry that others are going through all that as well, it's kind of reassuring that it's not just me. (v selfish i know.)

wiggle do you find that your cycle is different each month?
Mine has been different every month since i came off the pill december 09, i started doing an ov calendar for my shortest and longest cycles and just decided to dtd over all that period. This month i should be fertile anytime from tomorrow to last ov chance on 20th. I have some ov tests left over so may just use those up over the time as well to see if for once i can get a positive. as i didn't pre pg and mc.

Which period is the lp? is that the bit from ov to af or end of af to ov?? My gp was telling me on monday that the time from ov to af was always 14 days and it's the bit from af to ov that changes. is that correct then?

Thanks for best wishes for ds, he's not too bad, it's just a really bad cold, but his temp is all over the place. we're watching shrek 3 at the mo. And for the first time in a very long time he slept in till almost 8. Would have been a lovely lie in if dh hadn't kept waking me before going to work.

cep x-posts, sounds like another GP with the explanatory skills of an ape!! What is it with these GPs?! The LP is, indeed, the time from ov to af. BUT this phase is different for everyone, the average is 14 days but as with all things about reproduction it's different from woman to woman! Your bloody GP needs firing and I can't believe they are passing such idiotic information! To find your ov you might want to start using an OPK or temping, hope that helps!

Feeling seriously low here. Symptoms all gone and I'm failing totally to muster any positivity.

fx for the restaurant mamap i used the opk's before last pg and they all came back negative, temping is a bit difficult as with ds can't guarantee will have the 3 hours before taking temp. I do have some opk's left over so was planning on having a go to use them up over this next cycle. i think i'm oving (or was) earlier than i previously thought so will try and remember to do them every day from tomorrow.

sorry x-post wombat symptoms come and go throughout the first trimester. i'm sure it'll be fine, you'll probably get them all back again within a few hours.

BOA I really wish she wasn't but yes, I do sadly think she is I'm not due on 'till tomorrow and I do come on late so if nothing by Fri then bring on the sticks but I think I'd need the immaculate conception to take place today cause I sure as hell ain't duffed... unless this is a symptomless one!! My boobs always play these monthly games so are irrelevant!!

This is seriously odd. Am sitting in the antenatal clinic waiting area surrounded by VERY pg ladies. Feel like such a fraud. Had psyched myself up to be in the epau waiting area, where I've had all hospital contact since DS. This just feels so odd - like at any moment someone is going to say "oi, you in the corner, stop taking up space, don't you know this is for proper preggos, no imposters allowed".
Had good chat with dh this morning, good to know he's also worried - feels less alone.
wombat I think we're really close in dpo but you found out earlier than me? The tiny symptoms I have are never constant. Boobs wake up feeling normal, nausea so far has been the merest of waves, sometimes get twinges, mostly don't. I haven't had your bleeding but then I never have in any pg, successful or not until a mc starts and then it just doesn't stop. Sorry, this is meant to be helpful but maybe just a shuffle up and lean would be better.

Hi Mama yeah same here with the boob thing and IIRC with the last preg I didn't even get any boob pain. So the fact that mine are playing up now makes me think that it this month's a no go too. (I am not going to buy the digi test I have resolved, as I got a BFN last preg with clearblue on CD28 anyway!)
