Hi All, just not been able to keep up with you all over the last week with going back to work and all! But had some exciting news today - my first period since my EPRC on 16 December. Woo hoo!

nickstermum · 11/01/2011 14:05

A&R just wanted to say safe trip and safe arrival.. heard on the news they are evacuating parts of Brisbane. My friend in Toowoomba has been hit by 10m flash flooding that has destroyed the town - thankfully her house is untouched at the min but they are sleeping with lifejackets and on evac alert. :( Its heading down the mountain from there, so hopefully not in your direction (?) Safe trip lovely xx

Bee whoop for the GP

Like the concept of removing toxic people from your life... if only!!! Most of them i work with!!!

MummyAbroad · 11/01/2011 14:27

Hi ladies,

thanks for all the support and advice. I am going to have to go with the HSG on Thursday, that was the earliest date I could get after phoning three places and explaining it was urgent.

My doctor in London still hasnt got back to me - which I think is an answer in itself - he doesnt really care about follow up treatment! and I have spoken to more than one woman who didnt have a follow up check, got pregnant and then had another miscarriage and further infertility Confused really NOT what I want to go through again. Last night I had a slight panic about doing it on CD13, but I PM'd Pink and feel OK about it now. Thanks Pink

will catch up with you all later, I have to run off and get some antibiotics to take before the test. xxxx

Wombat33 · 11/01/2011 14:36

Hello all. Really struggling to keep up with the thread but wanted to send hugs to Pink. Still got my FX for Orange - how are you today? Katherine - glad you've got your first AF and welcome back to TTC! Mummya -- argh on the news from the US doc,but good you''ve had some contact. Have you managed to get any word from your london doc to see if he agrees that it's really necessary for you to hold off TTC this month? cep it might happen straight away - there's form for that on this board! A&R have a fab time in oz!! mine those floods! Loves I'm so sorry you're going through such a lot at the moment. I think you need not to be too hard on yourself and tell yoursellf it's okay to feel the way you do in the circumstances. Ihope you are able to find a counsellor and I hope that might help, in the meantime you can rant to us as much as you like. owl thanks for the treats! How are you getting on? YROTB keep happy!! We can do with more of that around here at the moment! Waves to Mamap, Izzy, Hadrian, Dachs, kat, Velvet, Nix, choccy and anyone I've missed!

Wombat33 · 11/01/2011 14:38

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 11/01/2011 14:54

BackOnceAgain · 11/01/2011 17:23

Hi all, I have been keeping up with your messages over the weekend but I am on my stupid phone so will make this message short in case I have a one finger typing meltdown, selfish I know Smile
orange more hugs from me too, great to see your bloods up though

daddy'sg Gah I can't imagine how you are feeling, well a little bit. We had my grandmas funeral yesterday, she was fit as a fiddle but died suddenly on dd's birthday Sad I feel like I want to sort of cheer up my mum by giving her a new gc but i know that is crazy pressure to put on myself, and stupid idea anyway...

Kat whoop for AF, I remember how that felt for me too

mummyA so sorry about everything confusing and misleading, hope you get sorted soon

cep pink big old non-mn like hugs and chocolate all round (actually that is for everyone)

aandr enjoy your hols, hope all is well

Utterly blown away by dachs and your MA in astrophysics Grin !!!!

Big waves for velvet choccy ladyb mamap nicks Hadrian izzy wombat and all the other ladies I have forgotten.

Nice to see the aquarium is cleaned and ready, wet fish action all the way!! Start threatening me now please!! Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/01/2011 17:38

helloooooo all!

mummya I can't believe your London doctor is not responding - that's completely out of order!!! Hope you're doing ok and holding off the panic x

yrmotb I'm sorry it took you so long to fall pg last time too, it's crap isn't it? I am kind of ok about it at the minute though, having passed the dd and other deadlines I set myself, I've realised I just have to accept I don't get pg quickly, that's the way I am. I'm hoping it doesn't take either of us as long as last time though!! And while I'm really sorry it took so long for you too, it's kind of nice to know I'm not alone iykwim? Fx for bfps all round before long x

cep why the September deadline? Sorry if you've already said, I may well have missed it in the deluge of chat on here Grin. I've written off my deadlines now (well, missed most of them!) but I have to admit it's more chilled without the pressure. Am hoping you get your bfp before long, but try not to stress too much about meeting deadlines.

Well news here is I've been asked to work extra as I feared so as of this week I'm doing 20 hours (4 school days) a week -eeek! Clearly this is nothing compared to most of you Blush but I'm not looking fwd to it. Trouble is, I think it might be quite career-limiting to say no right now - we've had three rounds of redundancies recently so I don't want to rock the boat too much. But still...

It's to be reviewed monthly, so I'm hoping when we've got caught up on things a bit they'll want me to drop back down - recession and all - but if I really really hate it I guess I'll just have to say. I wouldn't have minded so much if arse boss hadn't told asked me with the air of one bestowing a great favour Angry

Oh and I don't think my Slimming World diet is working - in fact I think I've put on weight. Luckily ov was either yesterday or today so as long as I manage to snare dh for one last round of sperm-snatching tonight it won't matter so much if I turn into a heffalump for the rest of the month Grin

Hope orange wombat daddysgirl and all our other bfps are doing ok...

MummyAbroad · 11/01/2011 18:11

Hi Izz no I cant believe it that London Doctor aka Dr Adrian Lower (name and shame!) hasnt got back to me either. I am feeling good about my plan though. I have got the antibiotics sorted, I am getting a scan done tomorrow to check I havent ov'd yet and check the lining growth and then HSG Thursday. (all three things from different doctors/hospitals! phew!) Its cutting it all a bit fine, I feel like I am pulling this together by the skin of my teeth, but its all in place now. I might be able to SWI this month but even if I cant at least it will all be done and dusted and I wont have to worry about it all any more.

Big hugs for DaddysGirl sounds like you are having a hard time at the mo.

have a safe journey AandRMum

thanks for tea and chockybiccies Orange Yum

I too an v. impressed with the educational prowess of our thread members! Are'nt we a clever lot? Grin

Velvetcu · 11/01/2011 19:24

argghh im meant to be revising but had to pop on for a quick hello!

YRMOTB 15dpo is Sunday, AF not due til Tuesday so I think I'll leave it. I'm feeling AFy already so I think she'll be here by the weekend anyway.

Pink rant away we all need it and you have spread more than your share of postivity so we'll let you off :)

Hi everyone else - I agree we are a clever lot Grin

cep · 11/01/2011 19:55

izzy The thing with the deadline is that dh isn't that hot on the idea of another one, (i have a dss as well as ds) but he knows how much i want one, and so came up with the idea of having a year to get pregnant in. that started in July, but then we had 2 months of him not playing his part until i told him the deadline moved with every month he didn't. Grin so it got moved to sept. (i actually think it's aug but if i keep saying sept he may not notice.)
I've just restarted the slimming world diet. only been doing it a week, and lost quite a bit due to a) being sooo over weight and b) being ill at weekend and not eating much. Are you going to meetings or just at home? i'm just doing it at home this time.

I hope everyone is ok, mummya good luck for tomorrow and thursday. wombat and orange i hope everything is ok for you both.
katherine8000 i know how you feel my first 1 is just coming to an end any day now.
velvet get studying girl.
back once sorry to hear about your grandma.

Sorry if i've missed anyone.

Emoo · 11/01/2011 21:12

BackOnceAgain · 11/01/2011 21:22

(sorry forgot the asterisks Smile)

So who is on the 2ww? I have until Saturday before I poas...

youremindmeofthebabe · 11/01/2011 21:29

Me, you ,mamap and velvet all due for testing this weekend, ish Smile

Emoo · 11/01/2011 21:48

Very impressed by all the scientists here! Maybe that's why we're so frustrated that we have no control over this TTC random chaos lark?

Cep - sorry to hear you are in the same boat as me and MummyA, with unconvinced DHs. I think that's why I find it helpful here, because I don't feel I should spend too much time obsessing with him in case he's put off! Hope your DD is okay. MummyA - a frustrated aaaaarrrghhhhh for you having to have a HSG, but I agree that if it's needed, it's needed. Perhaps you need to get very very stressed about it so ovulation is delayed a couple of days!

Sending chillout and positive thoughts and sticky vibes to the recently or not-so-recently updiffed, Nix, Ladybee, Getdown, DaddysGirl, Owl, Orange (glad things seem to have settled down) and Wombat (I'm sure you're not the only one who will feel in limbo until passing a particular pregnancy landmark). As a general thing, I find it helpful to have the recent BFPs staying around, as it gives me a sense of optimism, albeit with pangs of envy mixed in!

Dachs - 3 cheers for the follies - very pleased to hear that.

Velvet - I would definitely have POASd by 15 dpo! Temps still above coverline, aren't they? Not over yet, my dear, not over yet.

Pink - glad you've managed to find some strength to start to feel a bit more positive again. Thanks for the excuse to eat flapjack!

YRMOTB - glad you're happy... maybe it's a sign???

Izzy - Hope you cope okay with the increased work - does that start straightaway?

Hadrian - what makes you think something is still lingering with the MC? Are you still testing positive?

MamaP - whahay for huge boobs!

A&R - I loved the way you articulated those positive thoughts about the 5* womb and will go to bed tonight visualising it all! If you check in from Oz, hope your journey was good and the plane found some dry land to land on!

Chloe - a belated welcome, and sorry you are here - I hope you find your niche here and get some comfort and laughter from us.

Hello to Jiggle, Knitter, kat, Choccy, Katherine, Back
and anyone else I've missed!

loola2snowshus · 11/01/2011 22:14

Hi all,

I am afraid I am going to be a cheeky moo, and not even try to backtrack! I have been reading, however if I try to namecheck over the time I have been skim reading I will be forever on catch up!

therefore.... mememe

I would like to unveil .... <a class="break-all" href="//url=www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2dbbee]" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">My Chart

WHOOP! ok not definate, however that was only due to (tmi) random glob of thick ewcm yesterday! if not it would be a solid line!

OMG! This is 2nd best thing to a bfp...ok 3rd best thing as would prefer it was a definate, but still very comforting! Plus had progesterone etc bt taken yesterday so will know for sure in a few days! Yay!

loola2snowshus · 11/01/2011 22:23

Bugger grand unveiling spoiled! try again!

loola2snowshus · 11/01/2011 22:24

click top link, not sure why it mentions drinking while ttc ...nothing to do with me lol Blush

Ladybee · 11/01/2011 22:29

ah crap. I feel so bad, I can't do a proper catch up and I'm really sorry because so many of you are in hard places or worrying. Right now I've just finished sending emails for work and can barely string a thought together because I'm soooo angry at one of the teams I'm working with to produce a piece of digital content. Can't get their act together, won't give specific feedback, and now getting pissy because the deadline is looming. faaaaarrrrrkkkkkk Sorry - so completely not ttc/mc/pg related but it's just doing my head in. Especially as it's causing me to feel so anxious on top of usual underlying anxiety. Anyway. Have out-of-office on, don't work tomorrow, and will do best NOT to look at laptop (other than to MN of course).

In slightly more positive news (and I really am sorry for continued memememe) - I felt a tiny bit nauseous today - hooray! Was at 3pm and 6pm which I recall from DS. Seem to remember never had early morning issues but did feel grotty sort of 11/3/7/10. Feeling oddly nervous about consultant appt - like he's going to suddenly change his mind and say 'no drugs for you, lady, take your chances, hahahahaha'. This is clearly mental.

Oh LoveBeing sorry to say it, but there is no joy over here, and hasn't been in any of my pregnancies since the first, which was lost. It's one of the many very sad things about MC that it robs you of that. I've got a million small milestones to get past. Each one is like a locked box containing the next. I can't let myself look any further than closest open box/milestone - optimistically looking all the way to the end just seems an impossibility.

Ladybee · 11/01/2011 22:35

Gift for loola

Nice going! Lovely rise and fallback, looks like you're just starting to rise again. But I though progesterone was supposed to be taken 7 days after ovulation?
Oh. Just checked. They told you day 21 didn't they. On the assumption that you would ov on day 14.
Well...be forewarned, they may come back looking fab anyway, but if they come back looking low, you can go and ask for it to be taken again because it looks like you've had them done 2dpo and not 7dpo and can wave your lovely chart under docs nose to back it up. Good luck with results.

Ladybee · 11/01/2011 22:44

oh pink I'm probably the last person you want a hug from but I do wish I could come around and give you a big squeeze. I'd sit on your sofa and make you a drink and let you pour out your poor mental hurt heart. It's disturbing, to be so volatile, especially if you previously thought of yourself as a fairly stable, emotionally solid person? I used to think of myself like that. Now I know I'm not. Or at least, not in some things. I can do it at work still, most of the time. But the rest of my life is like walking on broken ice. It can tip at any moment.

loola2snowshus · 11/01/2011 22:50

Lady I lurve you! mwah (this mwah malarkey is getting a bit ott on here Wink ) I told nurse yesterday that it was wrong time but what do I know! Hmm will you come and hold my hand Grin

Eeeh I am sooo over excited by my half arsed chart!! Grin

loola2snowshus · 11/01/2011 22:55

Ooops... meant to say WEYHEY!! for nausea! Lady xxx

getawiggleon · 11/01/2011 23:02

Evening chatterboxes!

Apologies for not doing a massive catch up and the me me post but I just wanted to drop in and ask a few questions. I'm day 25 today (which in my prev cycles would've meant spotting and imminent af on day 26) However this month I didn't ov until day 17 so in effect I'm only 8dpo and I'm spotting (well, slightly heavier than that actually.) And it's bright red not brown (therefore unlikely to be ib). WTF has happened to my cycles and my luteal phase?? LP was 14 days last month. I used to be like clockwork, even the first 3 cycles post mc were consistent.

My temp went up this morning and then this. I know tomorrow will hold more answers (temp in morning and if flow increases etc) but I've just had this feeling over the past couple of months that things haven't been quite right, or rather that something, I'm not sure what, is wrong.

I've decided that if it is af I'm going to see my gp and try and get some tests done (does anyone have any advice which ones to ask for and is there anything they can give me to imrove lp if it is 'defective'?) I've also started to look into fertility clinics. I'm 38 next month Sad and worrying that if I just leave it and leave it that I may end up needing treatment anyway so maybe it's better to try and book in soon in case I need it. Oh, I don't know. I went out for dinner with my friend who has just had her 4th (and finally successful) ivf and she talked about ivf and fertility treatments for 3 hours solid. I'm pleased she has her bfp but I'm worrying if all the talk of infertility is making me imagine symptoms I don't even have??

Sorry for the ramble. I just don't know wtf is going on. I got pg easily twice before and now nada, month on month.
