dachs good luck for your scan!! Fx for lots of good follicles!

wombat I had no symptoms in my first two pgs, only fantastic boobs but tbh that didn't come straight away. I felt more nauseous in my third pg, but actually I think that was in my head because looking back on it I didn't realise I was pg until about 6 weeks when I suddenly thought I hadn't had a period for a while (oh, the days of not even realising you were pg!!!) and the nausea only started after I'd poas and got the bfp.

daddysgirl - any news?!

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 07/01/2011 08:24

Morning ladies

well dd had me up half the night and has just got me up at 8am, I am in the bathroom as have just taken my test. Dh is downstairs I haven't told him I am testing.

I have a faint +ve (just like last time)

oh my god I will be back soon just gonna go downstairs and show dh.

OrangeGloss · 07/01/2011 08:35

Daddysgirl !!!! congratulations Grin Grin wow, and we knew before dh :)

Right, must scroll back now to see what I've missed

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 08:51

Ggirl I flippin knew it (so did your dh, clever man) CONGRATULATIONS Grin

Dachs good luck with scan...hoping there are lots of happy healthy eggs, there is something going on on this thread at the mo, BFPs everywhere so have high hopes for you my dear Smile

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 07/01/2011 08:56

Shh we won't tell him that bit Wink

well obviouslyhe is very happy and very full of I told you so Hmm he's also told me that I mustn't worry and I've to take care of myself which I will try but hey I withh dd I checked my knickers everytime I went to the lou til my 12 scan. Then after a low placenta at 20 wkd was back to checking them again til the all clear at 34 wks, so quite how I'm not going to now I don't know.

Oh no just thought I have to leave this thread now don't I Sad

DachshundsWantPuppies · 07/01/2011 09:20

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. I have just one thing to say after the scan: :(

They don't seem to be growing - they need to be 18mm before collection, on Monday they were 10mm - today they are (drum roll please...) 10mm

I'm on the highest dose of drugs they can give you and they're still not bl**dy growing

(Sorry for the me me me posts I keep doing but I'm feeling a bit disheartened at the moment)

YAY! daddysgirl :) No reason why you have to leave the thread though...

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 09:30

Oh Dachs big hugs ((())). What is the plan of action now? Do you wait and get another scan on Monday?

Yey hurrah for DaddysGirl!!!

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 07/01/2011 09:36

Thanks guys and dach am thinking big for you, it's not over yet.

I've just managed to pull my back dd was having a paddy and was trying tonics her from the kitchen [ouch]

DachshundsWantPuppies · 07/01/2011 09:40

womby yep, another scan on Monday. They said maybe if I have a nice relaxing weekend the drugs might start working better. Well thanks, but telling me they aren't working isn't going to help me relax now is it! Hopefully it'll start working but feeling really miserable now (and that fact that it's dark and wet outside doesn't help - bring back summer!!!)

nix congrats on job, :( for not spending much time with DS. But you'll be on mat leave soon so you'll have lots of time then :)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 07/01/2011 09:56

daddysgirl big YAY!!!! congrats!!! Grin Grin

As you will see from the reorganised list we absolutely do not kick you off the thread for getting a bfp, so please stay if you would like to x

((( dachs ))) sorry it didn't go better Sad but you may just need more time. I remember dsis going for a scan in her first round of ivf and they asked her if she'd even been taking the drugs Shock because they were having no effect at all. Cue complete panic. Followed by a scan a few days later which showed everything had suddenly kicked into action and follicles growing like mad. So some people just take longer, and fx it's the same for you.

Emoo · 07/01/2011 10:10

Lucky thread continues! Congrats DaddysGirl Grin

A&R - LOL at your poor DH being whipped/flogged/sperm-mugged!

Orange and Ladybee - ommmmmmmm (zen calm to you)

Izzy and others - how do you deal with the shagging rows? I feel like I might have some absolute humdingers this month, but I can't push it too far as it will have the opposite effect of what I want. As Nix said, I need a plan! Helllp!

BOA - honest opinion? I can't think of any valid medical reason why you've conceived in March/April, and would have to put it down to coincidence, although I do understand why you're feeling superstitious about it. If it's NHS I don't know if you can cancel indefinitely - might end up with hassle of needing new referral (not sure, but please ask if you are considering postponing). Poor DH if he's uncomfortable after sex and you are asking for a lot of it! I would err on the side of getting it over with, then you can SWI merrily after that.

Dachs - sending you some virtual grow-powder to get those follies up to size soon. Hugs.

Francesca - so sorry for your loss, but welcome. Re "the only thing keeping me from complete misery is the thought of trying again" - I felt and feel exactly the same way. Just go for it if you feel ready to. I would heartily recommend charting though.

Plan for the day:

  1. Tax return (yawn)
  2. Lunch that does not consist entirely of chocolate.
  3. Try to work out what on earth my shifts are for the next month, as getting conflicting info from 2 sources
  4. Get DD from school
  5. Get her in bed early
  6. Seduce DH for some CD11 sperm-snatching! (if only...) may have to re-open can of worms.. wish me luck.. not quite sure if it's worth the effort yet, as I am eggnogless so far anyway, but taking on board your comments about keeping the swimmers fresh...
Emoo · 07/01/2011 10:12

YRMOTB - looks good!

And hello to everyone else

youremindmeofthebabe · 07/01/2011 10:26

daddysgirl yey! that's fab news!

dachs Thats distressing, but as izz says, it's very possible that they will kick in over the weekend. What's your favourite thing to do in an ideal world over the weekend? can you ask DH to have an "ideal" weekend? It could help.

izz I work 24 hours which I find a nice balance, but a) it's relatively stress free and b) I only have one child. Your work is pretty stressful, hey?

Temps remained over the line FF recorded for me today. I will take it tomorrow, and then stop for this month, the rollercoaster of upset doesn't really help my already abbsessive 2ww.

nickstermum · 07/01/2011 10:29

Dachs :( what are the options for you now do you wait a couple more days?

Love... Wow! Men sometimes just have an instinct!
Congrats lovely xxx wonderful news:)

Thanks re job it was something I was offered, not a promo more sideways! Ft or pt but I figured I would end up answeri g queries on a fri anyway so I may as well get paid for it! Doesn't mean am ecstatic tho! I have a good job with a progressive company, they know am pg, so it makes sense so... The extra money will cone in handy, will just miss my Fridays!

owlbooty · 07/01/2011 10:33

Wombat I still haven't puked, I'm not tired and the boob thing varies wildly from day to day - panic not :)

DG Hoorah for the bfp!

Dachs why do health professionals always say daft things like that? Silly buggers. The human body is a weird and wonderful thing and cannot be expected to always behave in exactly the same way for everyone - fingers crossed your follies are just saving their energy for the weekend growth spurt :)

Moo tis a right sod, isn't it, the shagging rows. Once we got to about cycle 4 DH realised that he didn't possess marvellous super-sperm and asked me when we ought to be shagging (hoorah!). I gave him a window of a week (i.e. from about 4 days before ovulation) and suggested he stick it in his diary and gird his loins. Then gently reminded him just before the week began. This did at least mean that he didn't get completely broken and I didn't get completely stressed. I did make a point of jumping him a few days either side of the window - just so he didn't think I only wanted him for his swimmers Grin

Oooo, promising chart, YRMOTB ?

AandRMum · 07/01/2011 10:40

Emoo good luck on your stalking plan - fresh swimmers are best swimmers!

Dachs I am granting you a memory loss weekend. Given your penchant for mishap on holidays instead I am finding you a cosy nearby pub with a big toasty fire (possibly MamaP's place) that serves interesting and varied mocktails - passes over pile of Sunday papers/magazine/incredibly engrossing book and bids those follicles to spring into action!

daddysgirl I am greeeeen with envy and very pleased for you. Told you DH was a boob watcher. Hope your back is ok. Not sure what tonic-ing involves but it sounds painful!

Right I will work today!

AandRMum · 07/01/2011 10:50

Can you convince them to allow you to do a certain amount of it from home Nix? I work quite a lot from home and people are now just used to the background chaos noise of my girls.

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 10:57

Thanks Owly and Izz and everyone, that does make me feel a bit better, esp the bit about you not being particularly tired either Owl - for some reason I'm fixating on that today :)

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 11:34

Oh Dachs don't despair yet, it wasn't a negative it just wasn't what we were all hoping for you at this stage, but have a bloooming top weekend and we'll all keep everything crossed for you Smile

AR I can't wait to get our pub and everyone will be more than welcome to prop up the bar Grin

YRMOTB I know nothing about charts but it seems yours is a good one... any symptoms??

nix sorry lovely must have missed a whole page somewhere... well done on new job and think of the extra money for lovely baby treats Smile

Wombat enjoy the lack of symptoms right now because as sure as eggs is eggs you will be puking before you know it!

Pinkster you around babe? How's the zen like state panning out?

AandRMum · 07/01/2011 11:44

Yes pink you set off a powerhouse of positivity in here and we haven't seen you around since! I think we are cycle buddies this time around - here's hoping the magic baby dust gets sprinkled liberally on us as well!

nickstermum · 07/01/2011 11:58

owls i am the same! wombat chill!!! Grin Nausea sometimes is there, only a teensy bit, i just eat! Dont feel particularly tired, and boobs whilst a bit more nork like come and go seemingly. I am having incredibly vivid dreams... last night i was at formula 1 with jensen button Grin yum and i was his shagbunny partner.. oh i like dreams like that!! I did smile when i woke Grin

I think pinkster is so ZEN she has forgotten to login...Grin

AR im based at home anyway so i firmly expect to continue, although i will still have to go to MK and Brizzle a bit more. They are aware of my current state and that i am restricted with childcare and very little support so hoping it will be manageable. Extra money mama will be used for ever spiralling bills,.sadly! I have most kids stuff anyway so wont be buying much assuming i get there of course! Itsjust the logistical juggling of it/housework/child etc that has me on edge, but thousands of women do it suppose!

AR i cant work at home with DS, i have to put him in pre-school or g'mas as i just dont get anything done!

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 07/01/2011 11:59

A and r sorry on my iPhone and a little excited so not spotting all typos or predictive spelling errors

OrangeGloss · 07/01/2011 12:31

Phew I missed loads! Nix congrats on the job, more interesting and you'll be on maternity leave soon :)
Wow Loola that's good going Wink Grin and thanks for pep talk
I hope the work's going ok Hadrian and whoop for the casual shagging!
Thanks for the hugs Ladybee
AandR fx that you'll be doing that conference updiffed
Wombat tis early days for symptoms, no? It's only natural to be wanting symptoms for confirmation
((( dachs ))) oh I hope you can have a relaxing weekend (spa?) and try not to worry as it's early days. Yeah, I know I need to take that advice myself
Thanks for the zen emoo and my fx for your sperm snatching tonight! Never too early for at least a good practice :)
Mamap where are you looking for a pub? Sorry think I missed that bit

We went for the scattergun approach of every other day, or around that much

I still have some zen, thanks Velvet last time I had boob pain and awful ms, when poor bean had never implanted properly :( I was the same, a complete shock as I had all the good signs. When you get BFP we'll be here to hold your hand Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 07/01/2011 12:45

Hello! Thanks for the good chart wishes, but am only 5 DPO today!Grin

Snowing really heavy here, been out in it, and because the weather forecast says it will rain later I'm quite enjoying it!

Waves to all, back later

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 13:05
