I wasn't, but I just did after I read it!GrinGrin

Nada.

nickstermum · 07/01/2011 13:26

Go go boob prodders Grin

bit hard to do that when sledging huh....?

been Snowing here too,,, but rain has pretty much washed it away now :(

Good lusk with sperm snatching everyone, emoo don some frilly nicks and get dh to the point of no return... i think that was izzys advice... or catch him when is half asleep and powerless to resist Grin oh and watch some cheezy film like fatal attraction or something before bedtime.... gosh cant believe i suggested that... would probably just help the pissing self rather than arousal....

and emoo... if in doubt you could always resort to a viagra.. i always did fancy doing that but never did actually dare!! (al mouth and no trousers!)

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 13:45

Shock @ viagra suggestion!!! Grin Grin

Yep - go boob proders!! No snow here - just rain rain and more rain. Still at least that's less likely to stop my train home from running tonight!

Nix congrats on new job btw!

Thank you so much for trying to keep me sane - sorry for all the me me me posts recently. I'm just such a mess!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 07/01/2011 13:52

Been for acupuncture, come to spread some zen....

Am feeling pretty chilled this month (esp after lovely acupuncture), am taking a que sera sera approach for now...acu reckons I should ov in 2 days so there will hopefully be lots of swi this weekend, but I'm going to try and not get too hung up over it all, it's counter-productive (not sure the zen will last over the 2ww but I'm back for acu next week so hopefully will get a top-up!!)

Thanks to all who asked after dsis; she saw a really sensible (her words) cconsultant who agreed surgery wasn't needed. Her hcg levels were still over 200 buy down by one or two and she's not ill so he's happy to leave her another week, then if levels not decreasing as fast as they want, to use methotraxane (sp?). Big relief. The scary thing is that they wanted to rush her in a week ago and do emergency surgery (d&c, laparoscopy then tube removal if anything in tube) the next day and she cried and refused to go (got as far as signing all the consents though). But if she hadn't been so stubborn and questioned everything she would probably have had the tube removed by now, unnecessarily. So lesson to all not to just go along with what's advised but trust your instincts a bit and question everything!

MummyAbroad · 07/01/2011 14:15

GrinDaddysGirlGrin congratulations!!! I hope you stick around on the thread, all these pregnant ladies we have now are very hearteningSmile

Izzy I had exactly the same experience with finding out I was pregnant with DS. AND I got my dates so wrong that at my first scan I was 15 weeks - all fine, and the whole first trimester was a breeze. How different things are now! If I ever get to see a baby on a scan again it will probably be in there reading a copy of TCOYFGrin

Nix congrats on the job!

Dach Gosh, it really is up and down for you at the minute. Hope you are able to stay sane a bit longer, what goes down must go up in my view, I am sure you will get better news next time. xxx

Re: SWI frequency, sorry totally lost the link, but now that wombat has written it I remember it was once a day if normal sperm count, less frequently if not (think I wrote once every other day if normal - can I get off my pedastal now I am getting things wrongGrin)

anyway this link says every 36 hours (bit scientific? cant you imagine trying to plan that?) and no more than a week without "clearout"

Starting taking my temps again today - feels like I am properly back on board the TTC train, but like Emoo's my DH is lagging a bit behind. I cant decide if my plan is going to be a) confrontation or b) stealth.

confrontation means sitting him down for a chat and spelling everything out.

stealth means wearing more make up/short skirts/and getting in touch with my inner ho.Grin

Unfortunately cant do Nixys morning pounce plan as DS always crawls into our bed at night. Havent had a morning shag since our anniversary weekend away!

Sorry forgot who asked me about scan results? I am waiting for my doc in london to get back to me, I think I might write to an american one too, who famously answers emails for free. I am just being extra cautious really as I was told orginally after the coil is out I can TTC. I would be nice to get an all clear before ov though! xxxx

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 14:18

Izzy great news iykwim! A woman?s intuition is a strong thing!! The doc's insinuated I was mental and in their words 'you're having a mc what did you expect?' In ref to my prolonged heavy bleeding! I insisted on an examination and they found those pesky polyps that needed to be removed!! Always, always, trust your instincts.

Orange we're considering all options but ideally any of the home counties or perhaps Dorset/Somerset/Gloucestershire... wherever there is money basically! Want to do an upmarket Bistro style thing!!

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 14:22

Mummya go with your inner ho Grin Grin

Right you lot, such a distraction! Got friends coming round for dinner tonight so might not catch up until tomorrow!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 07/01/2011 14:34

mummya bring on the inner ho!! Grin

I actually think the 36-hour thing can work quite well, I've tried it before when we've been flagging a bit on the every day scheme. Basically quite simple: for example, Saturday morning, Sunday night, Monday off, Tuesday morning, Wednesday night, Thursday off. And so on. But you do need to be able to squeeze in some mornings!!

I've stuck with every other day this cycle, because the last few months we've done every day for the middle week and it's led to shagging rows. I will try for more over the weekend as I'm due to ov but not going to stress. I think the shagging rows are directly linked to putting too much pressure on, personally.

mamap hope you manage to find your ideal premises!! And yay! to coming over to our part of the country!

AandRMum · 07/01/2011 14:54

MummyA Inner ho = TCOYF reading bean lol Grin Grin !!! I could put on my coaching hat and ask what you think is behind DH reluctance (happy for you to just ignore this q if it is TMI). My Dh hates any kind of pressure - all I can do is talk about the end game (large, lovely, noisy family having fun together in big messy house) I find longterm visions work better with DH rather than cute cuddly baby (which is my obsession - I can smell the baby powder and warm baby scent!) and then I just have to trust he buys into that and hence into SWI. If it doesn't I ham up the imagery!! Next step a bribery iPad and then onto Viagra in his coffee!!! Lol Nix I love your commitment to the cause!!

Ladybee · 07/01/2011 15:09

just quickly as am on phone

wombat I'm 16dpo and the only thing I feel is very slight irritable feeling in lower back and wombular area. Sometimes, v occassionally and mostly when cold my nipples feel a bit 'fizzy' and tea tastes weird - this could be because of a new kettle though (must have gotten used to the lime-scale). That's it. No nausea and no huge sore boobs - had them a bit before AF was due but not now. I've got blue veins on one boob but get those every month pg or not.

The bleeding you've had must be worrying but I wouldn't read anything into symptoms. Ive had them in varying degrees with all pregnancies and nothing has been an indicator that things are ok or not.

Still no joy - got hold of gp yesterday, he said he'd contact consultant and call back to let me know what to do. No call, no message. Am getting v annoyed - don't understand why this is so difficult to coordinate.

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 15:32

You girls are so lovely and reassuring and absolutel saints to put up with my mentalling THANK YOU!! I feel so much better now :)

Thanks Lady - we are a day apart then - I'm 17 dpo and you could be describing my symptoms, minus the funny tasting tea but plus occasional (and possibly immaginary Hmm) nausea.

Izz I'm SOOOO glad for your sis - that's brilliant news, what a relief!! Grin Grin

A&R didn't realise you were a coach - ekk - coming on here must be a bit of a busman's holiday for you?!! :)

Mummya - brilliant - I agree with the others - inner ho is the way to go!! Grin 'Twas me who asked about the scan. FX for a speedy response from your doc and the American doc too!

MamaP are babies going to be allowed in your pub?? If they are then you might just find a group of crazy MC ladies with their babes, bumps and beans decending on you when you open! Grin

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 15:38

Wombat but of course, the more bambino's the merrier (perhaps we'll get a nice pub with a snug that we could take over and let the little uns crawl and play) Grin
www.delusionsofgrandeur.com Grin Grin Grin

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 15:40

Yey!! That's something for us all to look forward to then Mamap!!! My work firewall won't let me open your webpage but I'll try again from home later x

AandRMum · 07/01/2011 15:58

I wonder at which point a bean becomes a bump - I like the distinction. MummyA how lovely to find out so late 15 weeks - wow. Now off to remove some Christmas fat in the rain - soggy but nice really

Francesca87 · 07/01/2011 16:17

All that commented Thanks for all your tips and advice. I'm definately gonna wait until my first AF before considering trying again.

As the pregnancy wasn't planned it was a shock for both me and my DP when we found out. I really want to TTC again after my AF but my DP wants to 'wait until the right time'. That really upset me, has anyone else had this reaction from their DP/DH? I feel so unresonable!!

OrangeGloss · 07/01/2011 17:02

Just had massive strop at dh for saying wait until Monday's scan instead of private today or tomorrow, then flashed him to ask if my boobs were still big Blush

Mamap I do remember you saying about location now, I can just imagine when you open all of us sneaking in Grin
Izzy that's a lesson for us all, and I'm glad she's getting a more cautious approach
Mummya get back on that pedestal! I hope you get your all-clear soon it would be nice peace of mind. Oh yeah, and you channel that inner ho! Grin
Good plan Izzy it's too much pressure otherwise, but hopefully you'll have a nice relaxing yet successful weekend
Ladybee how frustrating, will you have to wait until Monday now?
Francesca at first my dh wanted to wait as he was worried it would be too soon for my health, but epu said wait one month so that made him happy

Shock @ Viagra. That's one way, slip it into the cornflakes, but hope it's fast acting or else there'll be Blush when he gets to work

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 17:05

wombat I have just collapsed into fits of laughter... www.delusionsofgrandeur.com (I taking the piss out of myself = delusions of grandeur)!!! Grin Grin

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 17:08

Orange did he confirm your knockers were big big big??

Wombat33 · 07/01/2011 17:47

Ah, Mamp, now I understand Blush Grin

cep · 07/01/2011 17:57

daddysgirl congratulations am really pleased for you.

francesca my dh kept saying about not trying again at all as i was so upset. but shutup when i told him that wasn't an option.

Thanks kat and mummya for the link and advice. if my cycle is as short as it was when i caught then it shouldn't be too long after af finishes, i just worry that it's going to randomly be a 28 day one. i might do a calendar and overlap the days to see where i should be most fertile, to know when to stop.

My af is finally here, yippee. just in time for me to get a horrid cold. i'm bunged up and my throat is killing. I'd better be rid of this before i start dtd or i'll be coughing through it, with a medical mask. Grin So do i still stay on the wttc list until it stops or do i move now?? and a daft question again (sorry i'm full of them)would this make me cd1 now??

OrangeGloss · 07/01/2011 18:10

Mamap yes he did confirm bless him, and also said that last pg they didn't grow at all
Cep oh congrats! It feels weird being happy to get it doesn't it? You can go on the ttc list as cd1 if you like? I can't do it on iPhone but am sure one of these lovely ladies will
I'm fed up of this cold, dh has relapsed too so our house is like the plague

Mamapower · 07/01/2011 18:30

Grin at orange 's dh! Hope that has your mind at rest! Men are good to ask in matters of the boob Grin

DachshundsWantPuppies · 07/01/2011 18:52
nickstermum · 07/01/2011 18:54

Grin at knocker flashing! I keep lifting up my top, undoing the brazier and saying 'ere cop a feel of these...are they still pornstar like?'...rather than taking advantage he justs looks at me and cringes as if i am gonna strap on a GString and give him a saucy lapdance!

mamap watch out for tingly nips early on! I had that before anything....and a sore throat Grin

so we have knocker flashing, sperm snatching, fanjo fiddling....anything else ? Willy watching?
